Chapter Twenty One - Of Sex, Children, and Questions

Morning sickness was not fun. That is the conclusion I had came to when I threw up my lunch for the third time this afternoon. I walk to the beach the heat is intense and I'm glad I'm not in the desert. I strip down out of the flowing white dress. I look at my stomach - it has become a habit- I hardly look pregnant. It's still surreal to me. Me Kagome Higurashi a twenty year old assassin was pregnant. Under normal circumstances I would have aborted this baby - like I did Hiten's- but it's hard to kill the child of the man you love. Maybe that's why Ayame chose to keep Kiku, because she loved Sesshomaru, even if she didn't love him like a husband.

This is InuYasha's baby

That has made all the difference. Maybe he'll come and he'll be with me when our baby is born. This place isn't as bad as it is boring. I've become attached to this little life in me. I get out the water and pick up my things. I walk back to the hut and don't bother to put on my clothes.

No one is here anyway.

It's so boring. I'm an assassin I'm always doing something. I live in Tokyo not the forest/island. I have a T.V., books, money, a car, places to go. What do I have here? Trees, flowers, dirt, water, sand, and a hut. Wow. I see something glint by the pink lilies - my favorite flowers. I walk over to the open meadow there is that glint again. I walk over to it and drop to my knees.

I dig into the ground. The dirt is soft.

I grasp it. Whatever itis. I pull it out and slightly nick my palm. It's hard like a rock but clearer then crystal. It shines when the sun hits it. Oh my God.

It's a chunk of Diamond. I can see it now…a booming business.

Higurashi's Diamonds.

I watch Souta and Kohaku gulp down their third bowl of food. Things must have been bad in that cave. Kagura looks at the two also and sighs. Kiku is sitting on her lap while I observe the two teens.

“Souta? Kohaku? Would you mind watching Kiku while I and Kagura have a chat in the other room?” I've been avoiding this talk for quite some time now.

“Sure.” I nod and me and Kagura rise up. Once I make sure I still have my ear piece in and Defense stands in place- we leave the room. We walk into my room which connects with Kiku's room. Separated by a fine door, across from me and Kiku is Sesshomaru. We sit on the peach colored couch.

“I wanted to know if you were okay with the fact that I and Sesshomaru have a child.” Kagura sighed.

“I know Sesshomaru holds you and Kiku tightly in his heart. He shows so many emotions when it comes to the two of you, Kikyo, Sango, Kagome, and Rin. I don't care that you and him have a child. I don't care that he breaks all his defenses with you, Kagome, Kikyo, and Sango. Especially you. You all have known him for so long.” Kagura said her eyes showed the love of her mate.

“That's good to know since you're my child's step-mom. I'm happy. Kouga is in fact Kiku's step father. I don't know how Sesshomaru will feel about this. Kouga's happy with it and Kiku says that having two daddies will be fun. Although she still holds Sesshomaru as her favorite man in her life.”

“Aya, Sesshomaru will be fine I'm sure he isn't worried about it so you shouldn't be. The most he'll do is warn Kouga that if anything happens to you he will kill him. This morning he gave Miroku and InuYasha the coldest glare I've ever seen.”

I and Kagura laughed at this.

“InuYasha! Watch where you're shooting that thing!” Shippo shouted as he covered Rin's back with his own. Miroku cleared the front of the store within twenty minutes. He ran back inside.

“Sesshomaru, the outside is cleared any youkai left alive has retreated.” Sesshomaru nodded and signaled for Kouga to let the other members in the store- outside. The Youkai's stopped attacking and left.

“What the hell?” Kouga mumbled. Sesshomaru put away his gun and contacted Ayame. The connection beeped as usual and he could tell Ayame had been laughing.

“Yes?”

“Ayame, we're on our way back. It was successful.”

“Okay.” Ayame disconnected then. Sesshomaru picked up a paper from the ground.

Actually it was a picture.

A picture of Rin, in the backdrop was Kagura looking intently at the younger girl.

I looked at the sleeping Mitsuo for a while. He looked like Kikyo, the straight long hair and nose. Although Shoji had said that his eyes were green like his own. Shoji had built a large hut. It had four rooms total. One was Shoji, Mitsuo, a living room, and an extra room -where he said I could stay. It although was pretty empty. It looked like a hut from ancient times something feudal. I rise up after filling in Shoji on what had happened between the last five years. I noticed how Shoji felt without Kikyo; it was like how I felt without Miroku.

Devastated but hopeful.

He calls out my name and I stop and turn to him.

“Yes?” he smiles slowly at me and ties his hair into a simple ponytail.

“Kikyo…I know what has happened to her but how is she emotionally?” Kikyo…she was like a big sister to all of us. Kagome could personally tell each and every emotion of Kikyo. Like I could Ayame or Kagome hell even Miroku, InuYasha and Kouga.

“Kikyo she seems to have gotten over her past. She had overcome your death and that of her son, but sometimes…when she sitting in her room at night I walk past. She stays up late and prays before a picture. I never knew the man was her husband or the child was her son. After she prays she checks to see if everyone is okay before she heads to bed.”

“Thank you.” I nod and go to the room where Kilala rests.

I watch as Shippo takes Rin to their room. InuYasha and Miroku sit down in front of Kohaku and Souta. I look over to Ayame, she talking to Kouga. I walk over to Sesshomaru. He grabs my writs and pulls me to him.

“…Let's go into the other room.” I nod and he releases my writs so I can walk beside him. As we turn into the much longer hallway I wonder if Sesshomaru is worried about Rin. Although she is old enough and can hold her own ground. I don't tell Sesshomaru this because that's his baby sister and he will see her as that. He pushes open the door and I sit on the bed.

“What do you make of this?” It's a picture. He points to me in the backdrop. Oh…I see. I try to ignore his piercing gold eyes but they bore into my own eyes. Red and gold, for some reason those two colors reminded me of InuYasha. I look down at the floor. What pretty wooden floors! He grabs my chin and gives me the glare. The don't-you-dare-ignore me glare. If I was impulsive I would slap him.

Normal Point of View

“It was one of my jobs to keep a tag on all of the members of your family and any of your elite's family.” Sesshomaru sat next to her on the bed.

“Yet you never attacked?” Kagura shrugged.

“No, Naraku felt that there was no point in attacking Rin since she had run away or disappeared or whatever you call it.” Kagura pulled out a picture from under the bed. She had stored it there about a week ago.

“This was taken two years ago about the same time Rin left.” She handed the picture to Sesshomaru. He raised an eyebrow.

“Kikyo's husband and child? They are still alive?”

“Yes, we just don't know where they are. Only Naraku knows and he isn't spilling his secrets out anytime soon.” Sesshomaru nodded.

“More people to find…” Kagura placed her head in the Youkai's lap. Sesshomaru rested his hand on her head. “Well find them all Sesshomaru…We will.” Sesshomaru nodded. He picked Kagura up and placed her on her back. He trailed his claw down her throat to her heat. Sesshomaru slowly began to undo the buttons to her white short sleeved shirt. Once off he undid her strapless bra. Kagura began to unbutton Sesshomaru's black denim jeans, Sesshomaru wasted no time in taking off Kagura's skirt. Once both were completely naked Sesshomaru folded his hands with Kagura's and placed them above her head. He dipped his head to nibble on her neck. He continued to her collarbone. Kagura thrust her hips up and Sesshomaru hissed at the shot of pleasure that choused to his penis through his whole body.

Kagura tangled her legs around his waist. Sesshomaru positioned himself at her clit. “Kagura…” he said in a whisper, the said woman opened her crimson eyes to meet his gold ones. He looked down at her and a slow smirk appeared on his face. “I love you.” Kagura smiled at him her hand outgripped the sheets to wrap around his neck.

“I love you too.” With that she trusted her hips at him again. Sesshomaru pushed into her wet tight whole. Kagura pulled his head down to rest on her shoulder as they both thrust together. Kagura nails ran down his back and Sesshomaru rushed to kiss her mouth. Kagura moaned into his mouth and Sesshomaru went in deeper. The bed shook but they didn't care. “Sesshomaru! Oh god.” Sesshomaru himself growled out his mate's name.

InuYasha was walking to the back yard when he was attacked by his niece. He caught her in his arms when she jumped of a tree.

“Kiku what were you doing up there?” Kiku's golden eyes sparkled and she pushed her bangs away from her head. InuYasha looked at the little pink crescent moon. She wasn't pure Inu Youkai but still she bared the sign. InuYasha would never know exactly how that worked. Maybe because she wasn't half human like he was.

“I was waiting for auntie Sango and auntie Kagome to get home.” InuYasha looked at the chain that held Kagome's elite ring.

“Hey uncle Inu is that auntie Kagome's assignment ring?” InuYasha raised an eyebrow.

“Assignment ring?” Kiku nodded.

“Yeah, daddy told that the numbers were how long mama, auntie Sango and auntie Kagome were gone alone on their first assignment.” I look at the ring again.

“Is that so?”

“Yup, see.” Kiku pointed to the numbers on the ring. “Auntie was gone for one day six hours and four minutes.” Kiku then sighed sadly.

“I guess this time its taking auntie Sango and auntie Kagome longer to get back.”

“Yeah but they will be back soon.”

“I miss them uncle Inu.” InuYasha paused to look at her. He put his free hand on her head.

“…I miss them too.” He said. Ayame later came out after the sun had gone down and took Kiku inside so she could bathe.

Ayame looked at Kiku from the couch. After Kiku's bath she had wanted to watch cartoons before she went to bed. Kiku insisted on sitting on the plush carpet instead of the couch. Ayame picked up her daughter who had fallen asleep. She settled her down on the couch with her. She began to put Kiku's long red hair into a single braid. She remembered when she first told Sesshomaru she was pregnant.

Ayame walked out her house twomonths pregnant.She had tired to avoid it but as luck would haveitshe couldn't. She looked at Sesshomaru as he stood before his car.

“Come in Sesshy.” He nodded and walked into the house that Kikyo, Kagome, Sango, and she shared. She was sixteen and scared. They sat down in the living room and she was glad everyone was out.

“Sesshomaru…I pregnant with your baby girl. I know you don't want this child so I'll abort it. I just thought you should know. I won't be a hinder to our goal or to you.” Sesshomaru grabbed her hands and she looked at him. Hergreen eyes showed her fear and worry.

“Aya…don't you dare abort our child. My child will live; you and I shall raise her. You her mother I her father. We are both companions in this. Everything will be fine don't fret. Although you will be under constant watch.” Ayame lungedat him and cried into his shoulder. Although he didn't show it he was startled. He brought his arms around her tightly and both endedup falling asleep onthe couch in that friendly embrace.

Although, Ayame thought, the actual day of the birth Sesshomaru got so nervous Kikyo kicked him out the room. With a snicker she fell asleep with Kiku, later on Kouga joined the two on the couch doing the same activity.

It couldn't be! I'm finding more and more surprises everyday! A dog? A white husky female. Her eyes are gray like Kikyo's. How cute. I pet the dog's head and decide to name her Kina. She is so beautiful she'll be my companion. I walk back to the hut to show Kaede. A few days ago I found out that an older woman in her early forties lived in this forest alone. She is a retired miko but I'm glad for the company. I walk into the hut and she is cooking something.

“Kaede! Look at her isn't she beautiful? I've named her Kina.” She smiles a little then laughs.

“She is lovely. Such a pretty name you have picked. She has made you happy.” I nod and sit down on the floor. To my shock Kina sits down with me.

“I've never had a dog before; despite the fact that my mate is an Inu hanyou.”

“Such a shame, dogs are very friendly creatures.” I nod again. I sigh.

“Kaede…do you think they will come for us.” I know they are really coming for me but I'm going to bring her and kina with me.

“Yes but it will take time. This place is hard to find.” I get up.

“I'll take a nap.” Kaede smiles and nods. Kaede and I decided to live together so we can help each other out. Since my hut was larger we've decided to move her things into the living room although we both have a bed each in the bedroom. I leave the room and Kina follows me. I allow her in bed with me and I fall to sleep.

I miss you, InuYasha.

I miss you Kagome. I contemplate drinking but I don't feel like having my lungs of fire. I instead go into Kagome's room. Her scent is everywhere. I rest in her bed and then I hear a thump. I get up and walk out the hall. I've noticed that the third floor right hall holds Kiku's, Ayame's, Rin's, and Sesshomaru's bedroom. The third floor left hall holds Kagome's, Kikyo's, Sango's and an extra room.

The noise came from my side of the hall.

I dash down the hallway and stop in front of Kikyo's door. I push it open and deep colors of purple and midnight decorate the room. Kagome's room was silver and midnight. Kikyo is sitting up on the bed breathing heavily. I walk slowly over to her side of the king size bed.

“Are you alright?” She looks at me and nods.

“I assume you are InuYasha?” I nod at her. “Well then InuYasha alert everyone that there will be a meeting in one hour.” I look at her deadpan. It's eleven at night.

“Who are you to make orders?” She narrows her eyes at me and her Miko energy flares.

“I'm lady Kikyo and I run this base along with Sesshomaru. I don't even take orders from Sesshomaru unless I completely agree. I am the one that helps and nurse everyone here. I am the one who protects the Shikon no Tama. But more importantly I am Kagome's cousin. Listen up dog boy because you're making a bad impression on her family. So who are you?” I glare at her.

“I'm the father of your cousin's baby.” I smirk in triumph.

“Asshole.” She hisses

“Bitch.” I retort. I go to leave but her voice stops me. She gets out of bed but since she hasn't used her legs for so long she falls to the ground. I go to help her but she puts up a hand to stop me.

“Hey Asshole…”

“Yeah Bitch?”

“Meeting in one hour.”

“For the love of- fine woman!” I storm out the room to be a Miko's bitch and deliver the damn message.

I look at Shoji and then smirk at him. Mitsuo was outside with Kilala looking for rare herbs and flowers for me. Meanwhile I and Shoji both held a sword.

“You know how to use a sword?” he smirks in return. His green eyes twinkle.

“Let's make a deal? If I win you must cut my unruly long hair. If you win…”

“If I win I get to sleep three whole nights in your room and you in mine.” He lets out a deep laugh. I've noticed his bed is made from soft animal furs unlike my hard bed which really only separates me from the ground by a half inch. Mitsuo's bed is made of smaller animal furs.

“Three days huh? Well then throw in two days of you doing all the cooking then you have a deal.” I nod and extend my hand.

“Agreed.” He takes my hand and shakes it firmly.

“Agreed.” He echoes back.

So let the games begin…

AN: I don't really like this chapter but all well. I believe next chapter will be more eventful.

Kikyo's Status? Kikyo is Sesshomaru partner although she does not wish to be in charge all the time like Sesshomaru. So very rarely will you see her take control, Ever since she came out of Naraku's restrictions she doesn't do field work much to Sesshomaru's request. She and Sesshomaru are leading the war against Naraku.

Kagome found diamonds in the dirt in her fields. Yes and that is very possible at the land Kagome is at. Yes Kagome found a dog also.

Kaede? She isn't very old in my story. Her hair isn't gray but a brown. She isn't plump but average size. And both her eyes are in function. No relation to Kagome or Kikyo. But she is related to someone else in the story.

This chapter it started the same day the last chapter ended but went trough a week from then. So Sango and Kagome have been away for about three weeks or a month.

I don't know the title for the next chapter but I will give you a roundup.

Kikyo's meeting!, Sango and Shoji's bet!, Souta and Kohaku confront InuYasha and Miroku!, More on Kagome and Kaede!, Kagura learns her place, and the entrance of Jakotsu and Bankotsu!. All in the next chapter!
