It's been a couple of weeks , since Kagome was made a prisoner in what used to be such a happy place, she could still remember Kikyo's laughter when Hojo chased her around their home, now she was dead, murdered by those vile despicable demons, she hated them all especially Inyasha who kept her chianed in his room, where only he came in to see her, Sango was forbidden to come and see her. This was his way of breaking her spirit, but deep down inside he was starting to feel something akin to remorse for treating her so badly, and he battled with his inner demon everyday not to claim her as his mate. He would do the same thing every day, keep her locked up in that room, with only one of his shirts to wear, he went inside the room ate with her all meals in silence as she stared at him with a hatred in her eyes, that even the devil would be wary of. This day was no different than the rest except Inuyasha found himself staring at her and not eating his food. Kagome noticed this and threw a piece of bread at his head, anything to get him to stop staring at her, it was making her very uncomfortable. He realized what he was doing and decided to go out riding for a little while, so he got on his trust mustang and rode away from the castle and the girl that was consuming all of his thoughts of late, he couldn't get enough of her even after he had his fill of her body he couldn't help but feel that he wanted something more.

Sango had been spending alot of time with her master Miroku, he wasn't such a bad day that is when he wasn't constantly groping her butt, something he liked to do alot, since she wasn't allowed to see Kagome she spent most of the day with him. She couldn't help thinking had this been a different situation, they might be more that what they were. Miroku picked her flowers and made her laugh when she was depressed about being away from her friend for so long. It's been almost three weeks since her life changed, she hadn't seen her brother in so long but she knew he was safe in another village as he wrote her and Miroku allowed her to write back. Miroku had ceased flirting with any other women since Sango came into his life, he just shrugged it off as lust though, not realizing that he was always hanging on her every word, and felt a pang in his heart when he had to be away from her and the castle to go on spying missions for the lord. He knew in his heart that a women such as innocent as her could never love a demon who had a whole in his hand that sucked everything in it away, also he had eyes that were the color of blood. Sometimes he wished he were a normal man, and not a cursed demon who everyone feared and hated.

Sango overheard a conversation with Miroku talking to Inuyasha, he told him that he would be gone for a week, he needed time away from the castle and he was going to visit his cousin Myoga in the next kingdom. He told Miroku he was in charge and that he would expect his rules to be followed and carried out in his presence. Sango overjoyed waited patiently for the dog demon to leave before she ran upstairs to where her friend was being kept prisoner, she found the door was unlocked, so she ran in to the room and what she saw made her want to kill. Kagome was laying on the bed, naked and shivering, she looked deathly pale and her eyes were lifeless, she looked at Sango but didn't acknowledge her presence. She just continued to stare at the floor unmoving. Sango told her that Inuyasha had left and Kagome's reaction was surprising even to herself, she found herself actually missing the jerk, what the hell was wrong with her. She should be over joyed to that fact, but here she was laying in the same bed where he continually raped her, although as of late her body started to respond to him and she even found herself moaning his name on occasions. Sango went over to the girl and covering her up with a sheet, she put her arms around her urging her to let it out, and she did Kagome cried she cried for her sister, and even that idiot Hojo but most of all she cried because she hated what he was doing to her, she found herself craving his presence, even if he was a complete ass to her. She looked forward to the time she got to spend with him, eating the silent dinners and more. She hated him, but a part of her, also felt sorry for the guy he was after all a half-breed a freak by man kind's standards. Society hated him and wanted to destroy his kind, so maybe the only way he could be accepted was to be the monster that he is.

Sango convinced Miroku to let Kagome leave the room, to even have some clothing to wear, finally he even started to grow fond of her like a sister he never had. It had been two weeks since Inuyasha's departure and the castle seemed peaceful, Sesshy spent most of his time in his room, primping in front of the mirror, Koga was teaching Bankotsu how to hunt wild game, things didn't seem quite so intense as when Inuyasha was there, Kagome grew on Koga, he began to have feelings for her as well. He was helping her learn how to use a sword in the hallway, when Inuyasha arrived back he saw her in his arms as she was learning how to wield a sword, he saw red and immediattely his demon side started to surface he ran to them knocking Koga on his back fangs bared snarling animalistically. Kagome saw this change in him, and she ran back upstairs to her room where she locked the door terrified. Inuyasha's eyes were as red as blood, he sliced Koga up and down his arms sticking his posioned claws into his heart, where he felt it stop beathing. Koga lay limp on the floor his eyes rolled back in his head, Inuyasha licked up the blood and still in full demon mode headed off to punish his mate. His Demon broke down the door, ripping it off it's hinges, but before he could leap on Kagome Miroku stood in his way, guarding her as if protecting her, he was trying to distract the demon. Sango saw this and ran to him, with out even thinking she received a blow or two from Inuyasha who ran to Kagome and grabbing her in his arms, he bit down on her neck, than he sliced open his own neck and picking up Kagome forced her to drink his blood, she refused to drink so he dug his nails further in Miroku. Kagome didn't want to see her friend hurt so she obeyed and took a sip of the powerful demon's blood. Than his eyes went back to normal, and what he saw hurt him more than he could imagine, Miroku was lying on the ground unconscious Sango as well, they weren't breathing and when he went downstairs to get away he found Koga's body. He could smell the blood on his hands, and for once it didn't give him that same satisfaction it in fact sickened him. Kagome came to with the taste of copper in her mouth, she felt dizzy, she ran over to her two friends to see if they were breathing. She didn't remember anything before just seeing Inuyasha kill Koga, she felt sick and started to throw up. When Sango awoke she discovered a unconscious Miroku and ran over to him, he woke up but with a really bad headache. When Inuyasha came back later that night he found that Kagome was asleep in his bed and she smelled different but he couldn't quite place that smell. Deciding it had been a long day, he fell asleep next to her grabbing her into his arms. He slowly realized that he didn't want to be without her, and this made him mad, angry for feeling anything for a damn human. Inuyasha still hadn't realized that his demon had claimed her as his mate, and as part of the transformation she would start to turn into a inu-hanyou. A long time ago, Inuyasha wished for more power, to be a greater Demon he wished on a powerful, jewel but since he had half the jewel he only became half-full demon and so the ability to turn his true mate and poisoned claws however his form still remained that of a hanyou.


Next chapter: Kagome starts her transformation and Inuyasha realizes slowly that he doesn't want to be alone anymore.
