Don't Leave Me

When she opened them again, she was met with a sight she wasn't expecting.

She looked up at the face of her slumbering Inuyasha. He looked like a fallen angel. So peaceful and beautiful, tired from his fall. She tried to get out of his lap, but his grip only tightened. "No! Kagome! Don't leave me! I need you," he cried, apparently still asleep. He tried to get out of his lap again, but this time his eyes shot open. She stared back into those golden orbs as she watched with awe at how they filled with relief and was that love? "Kagome!" he cried, pulling her into a tight embrace and breathing in her unique scent.

"Inuyasha," she whispered. "I'm so sorry. Please forgive me for being so selfish." She cried into his shoulder.

"Kagome, shh. I forgive you, but will you forgive me? I thought I had lost you. But why? Why did you try and kill yourself? A-are you tired of us?" Inuyasha asked her softly.

"No, Inuyasha. I will never be tired of being with you. I understand that you love Kikyo, but still Inuyasha. I just want you to know that I'll always be with you and that I-I love you! I promise. Please Inuyasha. Let me go. I know that you love Kikyo, so lets just be friends. You shouldn't be embracing me like this."

`Is that why she tried to kill herself? B-because she thinks I love Kikyo? So, it's my fault. I don't deserve Kagome.' "But Kagome…Don't you see? I love you too! Not Kikyo. You are you Kagome. You are not her. And that's why I love you," Inuyasha told her.

Kagome broke into happy sobs. "R-r-really, In-Inu-y-yasha?" she choked out. Instead of answering her, Inuyasha lifted her chin up with one hand and pressed his lips against her soft ones. His tongue traced her lips, asking for entrance. She opened her mouth, immediately deepening their kiss.

A/N: ok! Hey! Im supa sorry I ended here! Its just that my back hurts and my drama homework took me an hour so I'm tired. I promise that the lemon is in the next chapter! Its unavoidable ne way!
