InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Double Trouble... plus one ❯ Confrontation ( Chapter 1 )

A/N: I DO NOT OWN INUYASHA AND CO! STOP ARRESTING ME! Hey everyone! Ok…. Just to clear a few things up… my name REALLY is Kagome. That's what drew me to the anime in the first place. My parents are Japanese fanatics so they gave me a Japanese name, even though I'm American. Um…. This is my first fic, and I'm so out of it today… so this chapter isn't my best. Also, I've been having trouble editing this chapter, anyone have any suggestions? Last but not least, I can't spell for anything, so If anyone wants to be my beta reader….. ok! On with the story!!!!

Kagome climbed up the well, shocked that her half-demon friend wasn't yelling down curses at her and telling her that she should just stay there this time. She rolled her eyes at that thought. `Yeah, like I could actually handle staying with that creep for more than two seconds.' She thought bitterly as she pulled herself over the top of the well.

Her backpack dropped to the floor of the well as she realized that she was being watched by three sets of eyes. One of them belonged to Inuyasha, the next to Kouga, and the last belonged to someone she would have never expected, Sesshoumaru.

"What are you all staring at?" she asked with concern.

"You." they all answered in unison.

"Uh, can I ask why" she asked, still hanging on the well. Inuyasha picked her up and set her on the ground infront of him.

"Well Kagome… uh it's just that…" he trailed off.

"It's because it's mating season and we all know how powerfull you are, and not to mention that for a human you are very beautiful." Sesshoumaru finished.

"Yeah, and my pack and I would be honored to have you my love" Kouga said with a smile.

"Wait, what? You all want me to be you mate? Uh, ok we can sort this out. Sesshomaru, why would you want a human? And wouldn't that girl that follows you around suit you better? Inuyasha, you have Kikyo," She said looking at the ground with tears swelling behind her eyes, "And Kouga, don't you have some female wolves that would be suitable mates?" Kagome asked. She did not want to be in this situation, she didn't unserstand why all three of them wanted her.

Sesshoumaru was the first to respond, "Kagome, I know that I have teased my stupid little wench of a brother about you two, but you have grown over the years, power wise and body wise." He said while giving her the once over, "And Rin is a cute child, but she has no incredible amount of power and is still too young to be my mate. You on the other hand, are powerful and beautiful. My brother does not deserve one such as you." He said and the snickered when he noticed the sour look on Inuyasha's face.

Inuyasha was the next to speak he stared at the ground with a faint blush on his cheeks as he said, "I don't love Kikyo anymore, you of all people should know. I care for you."

"Wha WHAT!? Are you kidding me? After all those times that you made fun of me? After all those times you ran off with her? You…. You chose me?" Kagome finished in a wisper. Inuyasha simply nodded his head and blushed furiously. Kagome turned back to face Kouga and Sesshomaru, and was about to speak when Kouga cut her off.

"Kagome, you know that I would choose you over any demon, any day." He said while taking her hands in his.

Kagome gently pulled them away and said, "To be honest, I'm not really ready for a mate." She said, suddenly finding her shoes very interesting.

"But Kagome," Kouga started, " You're eighteen years old, you have come of age, and that is why we all decided to come now. It's appropriate to mate now, by human standards." Kouga finished, looking almost bored.

`This is dumb, they all know I'm inlove with Inuyasha, what's the point of this? What are they planning?' Kagome thought.

"Well, if I had to choose, I would choose Inuyasha, isn't that obvious?" she stared at Inuyasha, who was now smiling, with a very cocky glow about him.

"Oh, you won't be able to choose that easily," said sesshomaru, suddenly loosing his usual emotionless face. Kagome turned around to face Sesshomaru, and saw his eyes flash red.

"Uh oh, I'm just gonna… go now!" Kagome said while backing up against the well, tugging on Inuyasha's sleeve, silently telling him to follow. He nodded and grabbed her around the waste. He turned around once more to see Kouga and Sesshomaru's eyes glowing blood red. ` This isn't good.' Thought Inuyasha as he jumped down through the well, into Kagome's time.
