CHAPTER 14: SPA! WE LOVE SPAS!

Kagome grunted as the `professional' hit a sore spot. Man, being walked on can sure feel good sometimes. She heard a low moan from Sango on the next table and peeked one eye open. The little Chinese woman was pushing one foot after another onto Sango's back, probably making the girl feel more hurt and relaxed in her entire life. She closed her eye and grunted again when her own little Chinese woman stepped below her right shoulder, her heel rubbing the spot till Kagome felt the cramp smooth out.

"Kagome," Sango's voice was smothered, and sounded like she didn't want to talk, "remind me to kiss Inuyasha the next time I see him."

"That's my job," Kagome whined back, "you can have the lecher."

Sango snorted, "thanks."

Kagome only sighed and wondered how little feet can work such wonders. The sound of waterfalls over the stereo made it all the better. Incense and candles burned in every corner, and the light scent of massaging oil permeated the air. This place was heaven. The building was gigantic, with a soft sea foam green face, pillars styled after Atlantis. Soft music played through out the whole place, and the staff was pretty nice. And the VIP passes really helped out. When they had approached the entry desk, the woman behind it gave them an almost regretful look. But when Kagome handed her the passes, the woman magically became cheery and punched holes into their passes happily to indicate they used one day. She handed them a program thing for treatments and waved them good-bye. Sango bet a hundred yen that the woman would sigh when they left. And not a second later, they heard an exhale of breath and giggled the rest of the way. They got a facial treatment first, seaweed for Kagome, citrus for Sango. The attendants were just too happy to assist. After that was the two-hour Chinese massage, which they were currently in, letting out grunts and moans and gasps as the `experts' hit the right spots. Despite the fact that a 90-pound woman was walking all over her back, Kagome felt she could pass out there. She was just about to…

"Kagome," Sango shook her shoulder.

"hm?" Kagome opened her eyes, and realized that the little woman had gotten off her back and was waiting patiently to clean up after them. Giving them a big tip, Kagome and Sango headed out in their terry cloth robes, flipping through the guide.

"Lets see, what can we do next?" Sango rubbed her chin.

Kagome yawned, "Take a nap?"

Sango snorted, "Well, if that's the way you feel then how bout…a body wrap?"

"Will we have to move at all?"

"Nope."

"Sounds good to me," they giggled as Sango directed their way there. They came upon a white room, with two chairs like you find at the dentist's in the middle, except they were covered in plastic. Bottles of god knows what lined the counter, different colors along the way. A tall woman with blonde streaked hair came out of the next room and paused.

"Is this session open?" Sango asked.

"Yes it is, do you have an appointment?" they held up the VIP tags around their necks, and the woman nodded. "Please, set your robes over there and choose a chair."

The woman turned her back so she didn't see them hesitate. The terry robes was all that was covering them, otherwise they were nude. Strengthening her nerve cause she wanted a nap, Kagome slipped from the cloth and tossed it to the side. She turned to Sango with a grin.

"Now, I know I'm glad I didn't bring Inuyasha."

Sango laughed and got rid of her robe, trying to cover her clad form with her arms. The door shut behind them, and the woman smiled.

"This is a private session." She pointed to the chairs, "Pick a chair and stand in front of it."

Shivering at the cold floor, the girls did as they were told. The specialist came up to Kagome and lifted her arm, inspecting it. She nodded once.

"You got good skin tone, soft yet tan. Though your skin is kinda dry. We'll fix that though." She went over to the counter and picked a few bottles of cream. She held up a blue clear liquid. "This is lavender, to help soften your skin." A light purple cream. "a moisturizing formula with aloe." And a white lotion. "And this is just toner." She put them next to Kagome's chair and went to Sango. Sango blushed profusely when the woman took her arm, uncovering one breast. The woman laughed.

"Trust me honey, I've had to see much worse. Well, you have fair skin, heading towards an Italian tone. Though I must say, you're pretty dry and if not fixed, you'll start to see redness. I'll talk to you after the treatment. Anyways," again she went to the counter and got three bottles. She held up a clear green gel. "Sage with aloe," an orange cream, "citrus with star fruit," and a cucumber colored cream, "and a cucumber moisturizer with vitamin C."

She put them next to the chair. She turned with a bright grin and clapped her hands together. "All right girls lets get going. Spread eagle little Italian girl." She pointed at Sango who blushed hugely. "Don't be shy, it's nothing I haven't seen."

Complying, Sango spread her arms and legs. The woman first took the sage gel and spread it over Sango. Then the citrus, and then the cucumber. By the time she was done, Sango was covered neck to toe in a creamy green mixture. The woman took her hand and led her back. "Okay now, just go slow, that's it. Sit down and lay back, and put you arms to your side. Good." She then lifted the plastic from the chair and wrapped it around Sango, then a huge terry towel, cocooning Sango in white. Kagome laughed at her position.

"Comfy?"

Sango scowled but smiled, "actually I am."

"Your turn." Kagome spread her body, and was soon covered in her own pastel goop, leaning back in the chair and being wrapped in plastic and towel. The woman took out a timer and set it.

"You got 20 minutes ladies, I'll be back." And she walked out.

Sango shifted in her wrap. Kagome looked over, "you good?"

"Yeah, I just think it's the citrus, I'm starting to tingle."

"Is that good or bad?" kagome smiled.

"Lets just say Miroku could do better," Sango gave her friend a smug grin. Kagome only laughed, knowing how true that statement was.

She calmed down and closed her eyes. The smell of her lotion teased her nose, and before she knew it she was peacefully napping. The next thing she knew, she felt hands unwrapping her from the plastic. The woman smiled down at her as she looked up.

"Come on, let's get you outta here and cleaned up."

She discarded the plastic and threw the towels in a hamper. Taking other towels, she wiped down the girls, with their help, and tossing those too. She stepped back, arms akimbo, and studied them intently, making them blush badly.

"Well, you look great. Hope you enjoyed, but go get something to eat, you look famished."

The girls nodded eagerly and put their robes on, and headed out to find the food court. After a talk with the lady first, Sango walked out with a cucumber melon lotion. They headed right, chatting pleasantly about how nice they felt, and didn't notice the towel boy heading to the room they just were. He stopped in surprise, his blue eyes lighting up. `Kagome…'

Hojo shook his head to clear it. Though he hated the towel-collecting job, he needed it, and he just thought it couldn't get any worse. But then Kagome walked out of the room, with, to his dread, Sango. But they continued on their way, laughing occasionally down the hall. Dazed, Hojo pushed the collecting hamper to the room they came out of. The woman in there smiled at him and dumped towels into the hamper. He only smiled back, a dreamy look in his eyes. Kagome…he had never been able to stop thinking about her. She just was so special; he couldn't let go of something like that. He pushed the cart to the elevator and ringed the button, getting on when it opened. And it had been so fortunate when he found that he had transferred to the same school as her. He had been overjoyed. He'd finally be able to make up to her and hopefully they'd get back together.

But a frown marred his face. But he also learned that she was dating Inuyasha Sanosuke, a semi popular guy who was rich. Where was the substance in that? Where was the dependability? He could easily just dump her and leave her. No, Hojo wouldn't let him hurt Kagome, not like that. He just had to convince Kagome to take him back. He knew she would, because he loved her, and in his own mind, she loved him. It was him that she gave kisses in the hall, or hugged, or cuddled at lunch, or laughed with. He was the one, he knew it. Not this stupid Inuyasha. What was worse, he was a hanyou, a half demon, something her family trained to defeat. How could she do that? But no matter, he'd show her the right way. Disposing of the dirtied towels in the basement, he thought of how he could get her alone to talk. It played in his head over and over again, each time ending that she'd throw his arms around him and thank him endlessly. He'd only smile, and slowly pull her into a kiss, making her blush like he saw so many times that she did with Inuyasha.
