Raid - Kills Bugs Dead!

 

“Tell me a story.”

Kagome smiled at the little fox demon as he curled up beside her in the sleeping bag.

“All right, Shippo. Once upon a time…” she began, “there was a miko who was sent to fight a spider demon. She had come from a world where there were no demons, so she didn't know how she was going to defeat him. Her only possession was a magic bag that contained objects native only to her world. The journey to the spider demon's lair was long and dangerous. She had to face many difficult tasks along her way.

“After many months of traveling she arrived at the cave of the spider demon, but before she could prepare herself the demon burst out of its cave. Quickly she reached into her magic bag in search of something to save her from the giant spider. The demon, however, was not about to wait for her. With his mouth open to devour her, the spider demon charged at the miko.

“Grasping the metal cylinder she had been looking for, the miko pulled it from her bag and threw it into the gaping jaws of the demon. As his teeth bit down reflexively they pierced the metal canister, sending a spray of foul liquid into his lungs. As it burned through his insides, the spider demon fell over, dead.”

Kagome looked down at the sleeping bundle in her arms and smiled. She always liked the stories she made up for him, even if he never made it to the end.

“Goodnight Shippo.” she whispered as she snuggled down to join him in sleep.
