A/N: 1) Okay I got the responses that I wanted so I decided to update this a.s.a.p.

2) And please stop asking why it's called "Drug Addiction". That will come into play in later chapters.

3) This chapter will be just flashbacks. It will explain why Naraku said that Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru, and Miroku weren't his children.

Chapter 4: Love Letters

Mira was up in her room. She couldn't bear to listen to the painful moans and cries coming from the little girl. The little girl that was supposed to be under her protection, Aye trusted her to be the guardian of his little girl. But she had failed him, she had failed him when she married Naraku.

Aye was furious with her, furious for marrying his enemy. And it looked like InuTaisho didn't care. And that broke her heart even more. After about 2 years of not talking to two of her best-friends in the whole entire planet, they started talking to her again. And that sent Mira's spirits soaring. But that ended sooner then later. They had expected her to get a divorce with Naraku, but she didn't. And what hurt her even more is that InuTaisho confirmed that he didn't know her. That he didn't want to know some backstabbing bitch.

Mira was in a state of depression for months after he said that. And Naraku wasn't helping the situation. What's more she didn't know who actually fathered her children. InuTaisho, Naraku, or Aye. She had slept with all three of them. She was positive that Aye wasn't the father of her three beautiful little boys, but she wasn't that sure about Naraku and InuTaisho. She was sure that Aye didn't father her children because they looked nothing like him, they didn't have a single trait of Aye in them. But Naraku and InuTaisho, their were some qualities.

Because how did Miroku have black hair? Naraku had black hair, but InuTaisho didn't. Heck Mira didn't even have black hair, she had midnight blue hair with silver streaks, and traces of black here and there but that was as far as that. And Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru both had silver hair like InuTaisho. And to make matters even more confusing was that Miroku and Sesshoumaru were twins.

Mira sighed in frustration. She didn't like the way Naraku treated people who 'disobeyed' him so to speak. But he did treat her with such care and he did take in her sons even though there was a possibility that they weren't his kids. As the days, months, and years went on she would always see InuTaisho in Sesshoumaru. The way he acted, the way he carried himself. It was just InuTaisho like. And even Inuyasha, but Miroku. Miroku acted more like herself. Could it be that InuTaisho was the father and not Naraku?

Mira went over to her bedside table and took out a small notebook. Nobody would've guessed that she kept all of Naraku's and InuTaisho's love letters in there. Mira knew that the two hated each other to death. But she couldn't help but love the two of them, and when it came time to choosing, she didn't know who to choose. And when they both found out that she was pregnant with twins no less they both demanded to know who the father was. And when the answer was 'I don't know.' InuTaisho threw a fit. That was the day that InuTaisho disowned her as being a lover, and a friend. He had said that he didn't want to be associated with the likes of her, a whore, a slut, a skank, a bitch etc. The things that InuTaisho had said about her, hurt her through and through. But Naraku, Naraku accepted it, and when he found out that InuTaisho disowned her. He was there for her, he took her in, and he raised her children with her for 2 years. Then she was pregnant again, and again she wasn't sure who the father was. Because during those two years she had an affair with InuTaisho behind Naraku's back.

Naraku was furious, no that was an understatement. He was down right pissed. He couldn't look at Mira for weeks. And when little Inuyasha was born, it seemed to Mira that Naraku didn't care anymore that she had an affair with InuTaisho. But she was still unsure who the father was. Because on the same night that she had sex with InuTaisho, she had sex with Naraku right after. Now she really did believe InuTaisho when he had called her a slut and a whore. Mira shook her head, and again InuTaisho disowned her when she didn't know who the father was.

Mira's shoulder's shook as she took out InuTaisho's love letters that were addressed to her. The paper was white, with a baby blue border, lined with white roses. She brought the paper up to her nose, and sighed. It smelled exactly like InuTaisho, and deep down she knew that she really couldn't forget about him. She opened up the folded paper and began to read.

Dear Takashii Mira,

There are no words to describe this feeling that I feel for you. You mean so much to me. I just want to hold you in my arms and never let you go. I praise Kami everyday for sending me an angel as beautiful as you. I wake up everyday just to see you smile that beautiful smile of yours. I'll be counting the hours until I can see your smile and you. My lovely Mira, meet me in the usual place at the usual time.

Mira sniffed, and closed her eyes. Trying to forget about that night. But that night meant so much to her, it was the night that InuTaisho, for the first time, told her that he loved her. And she had said that she loved him in return.

==-Flashback-==

"Mira, who's that letter from?" Maya asked her.

"It's from InuTaisho," Mira said smiling. She looked at her friend and she could see her eyes go wide.

"Wow Mi, you really have both InuTaisho and Naraku hooked," Yuri said smirking.

"Yuri! You know I can't choose," Mira said.

"Oh yes I do know that, but who treats you better?" Yuri asked.

"They both treat me good," Mira said softly.

"Honey, you can't stay with two guys at the same time," Yuri said patting her friend's arm.

"You know she's right," Aye said coming up from behind them. Mira scowled at Aye, though he was one of her best-friends he was always pushing her to pick InuTaisho.

"Really? Then who do you think I should choose?" Mira asked, already knowing the answer.

"InuTaisho," Aye said simply putting an arm around Maya.

"He's your best-friend, and you don't like Naraku. That's why you always say InuTaisho," Mira defended.

"Well so what? And not liking Naraku is an understatement Mi. I hate Naraku Youkai," Aye said.

"Aye, hate is a very big word," Maya said.

"Indeed," Aye countered. He knew that whenever he would say that word Maya would blow her top.

--That evening--

"InuTaisho?" Mira called. She was waiting for him under the Sakura tree that was in the park. No one answered.

"InuTaisho?" Mira tried again.

"InuTaisho?" and again no one answered. Mira was getting tired of this.

"INUTAISHO TAIYOUKAI IF YOU DON'T GET YOUR BUTT DOWN HERE I'LL MAKE SURE THAT YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO HAVE KIDS PERMENANTLY!" Mira cried.

"Surely you don't mean that?" InuTaisho asked jumping down from the tree. Mira jumped. She looked at InuTaisho who was currently laughing at her.

"I don't see how you find that funny," Mira said.

"Why not?" InuTaisho asked.

"Stop laughing at me!" Mira cried folding her arms across her chest.

"I'm not laughing at you darling, I'm laughing with you. See the difference?" InuTaisho said. Mira snorted, a very un-lady like thing to do.

"Tell me why you wanted to see me," Mira said.

"I wanted to see you to give you this," InuTaisho said. He pulled out a little box from his pocket. It was a black velvet box, Mira gasped when she saw it. InuTaisho gave it to her.

"Open it," He ordered. Mira looked at the box hesitantly, and looked up at InuTaisho wide eyed.

"Don't worry baby, it won't hurt you," InuTaisho said smiling. Mira smiled and opened the box. She gasped when she saw the contents. In it was a silver ring, and engraved on the inside was InuTaisho's name, and hers.

"It's a promise ring," InuTaisho said.

"Promise ring?"

"Yes. It's a promise made by me and you that we will be together forever," InuTaisho said taking the ring out of the box and placing it on Mira's wedding finger.

"Forever?" Mira asked unsure.

"Yes, if that is what you want," InuTaisho said. Mira nodded.

"I love you Mira Takashii," InuTaisho said.

"And I love you InuTaisho," Mira said.

Mira sighed. Remembering that night always hurt her. Because InuTaisho hadn't kept his promise to her. And neither did she for that matter. Love hurts, and it's confusing.

Naraku went out for a walk. He didn't want to be in the same room with Kagome Higurashi right now. He didn't even know why he had kidnapped her. Then it came back to him. He wanted to show Aye Higurashi that he was more powerful, then he was. For years Aye and InuTaisho had made his life a living hell. And he just stood there and done nothing about it. He just let them do their teasing and bullying. And no one would intervene. No one except Mira Takashii.

==-Flashback-==

"Naraku Youkai, come for another beating again?" Aye asked menacingly.

"N-no. I was just walking by that's all," Naraku said.

"Oh really? Or were you just spying on us?" InuTaisho asked.

"No. Why would I say on you?" Naraku defended.

"Well. We'll just have to teach him a lesson for spying on us," Aye said. InuTaisho pushed Naraku against the fence. Naraku shielded his face with his arms. And the two started their beating. They punching, kicking him etc. Naraku couldn't take it anymore. So he fought back, but they were strong then he was, after all it was 2 on 1.

"Think you can fight us eh?" InuTaisho asked. Naraku whimpered.

"OH. Are you whimpering?" Aye snickered.

"HEY YOU TWO!" Someone called. Aye and InuTaisho looked around for the voice. They saw no one. So they started their treatment again. InuTaisho was just about to punch him when Mira shielded him with her body.

"Who the hell are you? Leave before you get hurt!" InuTaisho snarled.

"No. Your hurting him for no good reason," Mira said.

"We do have a good reason," Aye said.

"Oh and what is that?" Mira asked curiously.

"The little bastard was spying on us!" InuTaisho said.

"Really? Because as I saw it, he was just walking by when you two spotted him. Instantly jumping to the conclusion that he was spying on you. Either that or you two are just two bullies who have nothing to do in their spare time but to beat up kids. And you out number them, so therefore it isn't really a faire fight," Mira said.

Naraku looked at the girl. She was beautiful. She had midnight blue hair with silver streaks, and hints of black here and there. Her eyes were honey brown, and she had white porcelain skin. 'Perfect,' Naraku thought.

"Just get out of the way bitch," Aye said.

"Tsk, tsk, now that's not a way to talk to a girl. Leave before I call the cops," Mira said.

"Your lucky Naraku, this girl here came to your rescue, but we promise you the next time you won't be so lucky," InuTaisho said. And with that Aye and InuTaisho left him with the gorgeous angel.

"Naraku huh? You're the new kid right?" Mira said bending down to look at his wounds.

"Don't," Naraku said.

"Don't worry sugar, I won't hurt you," Mira said smiling. She took out her handkerchief and started wiping off the excess blood on Naraku.

"Here sugar, it looks like you need this more then I do," Mira said. She flashed him a smile and ran off. Screaming that she'll always be there for him. And she was, she never broke that promise. She was always there to defend him.

==-Flashback-==

"Why did I take Kagome?" Naraku asked himself running his hand through his hair. After all he already took everything that was InuTaisho's. But he still needed his revenge on Aye. And he hated that he had to hurt Maya in the process. Maya was his cousin, though he didn't think that Maya had mention himself to Kagome.

"Maya, when this is over, please forgive me," Naraku whispered.

Maya was upstairs in her daughter's room crying. This couldn't be happening. She didn't know anyone who would hurt her and her husband like this. She didn't hurt or anger anyone during her life, but…Aye did. Then again, Aye only hurt Naraku. Maya gasped. Could Naraku do such a thing? Her own cousin kidnap her daughter? That was preposterous! She wouldn't believe for a minute that he would take her daughter from her.

Then again, he did take Mira away from InuTaisho. Even after InuTaisho gave Mira the promise ring. Over the years, Mira and herself had been writing secret letters. Maya cared deeply for her friend, also her cousin's wife. She was shocked when Mira had told her that she didn't know who the father of Sesshoumaru, Miroku, and Inuyasha was. It could be Naraku, or it could be InuTaisho. But Maya had a feeling, from the way she described her boys, that InuTaisho was the father.

"Naraku, please don't be the kidnapper to my daughter," Maya whispered to herself.

"Cousin Naraku, I would be extremely hurt if you were the one that took my daughter," Maya said crying into her daughters pillow. It smelled so much like Kagome. But what Maya didn't know, was that someone was watching her. And that someone didn't like what he had heard.

Aye closed the door to his daughter's room. 'Could Naraku be the one that took Kagome?' Aye asked himself. But he couldn't! He wouldn't dare! Maya was his cousin! He wouldn't dare take his cousin's daughter could he? But all the years of torture that Aye had put Naraku through came back to him in an instant. He was sure that Naraku would take his daughter.

Naraku was that sadistic. He would really do that, Aye was positive. But how would he prove it? Should he tell the police? What was he supposed to do? Should he go to Naraku's house and see if he had his little girl?

"Aye, are you alright?" InuTaisho asked.

"No," Aye said.

"Do you know who took Kagome?" InuTaisho asked.

"I think Naraku did," Aye said. InuTaisho gasped.

Miroku opened the door to his room. To think that his father had kidnapped, and beat Kagome Higurashi. His enemy's daughter no less. He was disappointed to call Naraku his father. 'Why would he do such a thing?' Miroku asked himself.

"Father, you have dishonoured me," Miroku said as he got into his bed. Naraku was walking by when he heard what his 'son' had said. And a pang of pain shot through his heart.

Inuyasha was laying down on his bed. He didn't know what to do, let alone what to think. Today's events was just a whirlwind in his mind. He just hoped that Sesshoumaru protected Kagome, because if he didn't Inuyasha had something to say about it.

Naraku opened the door to his bedroom. There sat Maya holding what looked like a silver ring, and she was crying.

"Mira?" Naraku said closing the bedroom door.

"N-Naraku," Mira stuttered. She instantly put the promise ring in her drawer.

"What was that?" Naraku asked.

"N-nothing," Mira stuttered again.

"It's not nothing. I know when your lying Mira," Naraku said. Something was going on with his wife.

"It's nothing sugar," Mira said smiling.

"It's something! Mira, don't lie to me!" Naraku said.

"I'm not lying!" Mira lied.

"Shut up! I know your lying! What are you hiding from me?" Naraku said,

"NOTHING!" Mira screamed. Naraku lost his temper there. He walked over to his wife and threw her on the bed.

"N-Naraku?"

"Are you thinking of InuTaisho again?" Naraku accused.

"N-no," Mira said not able to look in her husband's eyes.

"Mira stop lying," Naraku said.

"OH ALRIGHT ALREADY!" Mira cried standing up.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU NARAKU! KIDNAPPING AYE HIGURASHI'S DAUGHTER LIKE THAT! YOU KNOW HOW MUCH SHE MEANS TO HIM! AND TO MAYA! DID YOU FORGET THAT MAYA'S YOUR COUSIN! OR YOU JUST PLAIN DUMB!" Mira screamed. Unknowingly, the screams had awoken Inuyasha and Miroku. They both got up, and listened to their parent's conversation. Inuyasha had to bite his lip to keep from gasping when he found out that Kagome was his cousin. Miroku couldn't believe his ears. His parents never fought.

"NO I HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN THAT MAYA IS MY COUSIN! AND I KNOW THAT KAGOME'S MY NEICE! BUT FOR THE LOVE OF KAMI! YOU KNOW HOW HER FATHER AND INUTAISHO TREATED ME IN SCHOOL!" Naraku screamed back.

"OF COURSE I DO! I STOPPED THEM FROM CONSTANTLY BEATING YOU!" Mira screamed.

"DON'T YOU THINK I FUCKING KNOW THAT! BUT I NEED TO HAVE MY FUCKING REVENGE OF THOSE FUCKING IDIOTS!" Naraku screamed.

"THEIR NOT IDIOTS LIKE YOU ARE NARAKU! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS! I THOUGHT WE PUT THEM BEHIND US?! AND HERE YOU ARE REMINDING THE BOTH OF US WHAT HAPPENED 10 YEARS AGO!" Mira screamed back at her husband. She couldn't believe that he was acting like this.

"OH YOU THINK JUST TAKING KAGOME REMINDS THE BOTH OF US WHAT HAPPENED 10 YEARS AGO?!"

"YES!"

"DON'T YOU THINK THAT EVERYTIME I LOOK AT SESSHOUMARU, MIROKU, AND INUYASHA I DON'T THINK ABOUT YOUR BETRAYAL TOWARDS ME! YOUR AFFAIRS BEHIND MY BACK!" Naraku countered. Mira gasped.

"You--" Mira was at a lost for words.

"AND TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE MIRA! TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF THEIR MY CHILDREN OR NOT!" Naraku screamed. All his bottled up emotions radiating out of him.

Miroku and Inuyasha looked at each other wide eyed. They couldn't believe what they were hearing.

"HOW DARE YOU BRING THAT UP!" Mira screamed. This time Sesshoumaru walked down the hall to see what was going on. And when he saw his brothers listening to his parent's conversation he was curious. When the two saw him, they put a finger to their mouths signalling him to be silent. He nodded.

"OH I DARE MIRA! HOW CAN YOU NOT KNOW WHO FATHERED THE THREE!" Naraku yelled. 'Is he talking about my brothers and I?'

"BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW!" Mira screamed.

"YOU DON'T KNOW BUT I DO! I AM NOT THE FATHER OF THOSE THREE BOYS! I TOOK A BLOOD TEST ON THEM A LONG TIME AGO! I'M NOT THEIR FATHER!" Naraku yelled, tears streaming down his face. All this time he wanted kids of his own that belonged to Mira and himself, but the day when he found out that Sesshoumaru, Miroku, and Inuyasha weren't his kids. He all but lost it.

"You mean that?"

"Yes, your OTHER LOVER is the father of Sesshoumaru, Miroku, and Inuyasha," Naraku said. The three heard footsteps and ran to their own bedrooms. Naraku came out of his bedroom, oblivious to the fact that his 'sons' were there.

"Oh and one more thing Mira, one of them isn't InuTaisho's or mine," Naraku said slamming the door.
