"WHO ARE YOU!?!" Inuyasha's sensitive ears flattened against his skull at the indistinguishable shriek, which caused a ringing in his head that rivaled all the shrine bells in Japan. The shrieking continued but there was to much noise inside his head to pay attention. Pulling a pillow over his head he groaned and attempted to block out the other annoying noise. Something suddenly thunk-ed against his back, then again. What the..
"What the fuck!?" He roared bolting up in bed only to pause in shock as his eyes focused on a raven haired beauty that looked very similar to Kikyo, clutching a pillow to her chest, the obvious offender. Gulping he lowered his ears at the look on the poor girls face. It was a cross between murderous and ready to crumple into hysterics.
"Who...who are you?" her voice was barely a whisper, "why...why...uh aren't we...wearing," she clutched the pillow tighter to her body as her bottom lip began to tremble.
"Listen, I..." he licked his lips trying to find the words to break it to her. He had no idea what had happened last night, but taking in both their state of undress he could only imagine exactly what had happened. "I'm" she held up her hand and shook her head, slowly backing off the bed.
"I don't wanna know," a single tear slipped down her cheek, causing his heart to drop, "I don't know what happened last night, but I'm going to get dressed, God where are my clothes?" she mumbled to herself as tears began to fall. Furiously wiping at her cheeks she tried to keep herself covered while looking for the rest of her clothes. "where's my underwear."
"Right here," Inuyasha held out the silky black thong out to her with one finger. She grabbed at her, glaring at him.
"Don't touch those!" Inuyasha gaped at her. The once crying meek girl now had fire in her eyes.
"Well excuse me! Just trying to get you out of here as fast as possible!," he turned away with a growl, "not like I didn't touch them last night."
"Excuse me?" her voice was a shrill squeak and he turned back to her, returning her earlier glare.
"You heard me! Miss do you wanna get out of here," he mocked in a girly slurred voice. Kagome's eyes widened, cheeks turning a bright red.
"Oh so you're implying I started this?" she made a circular motion with her hand to refer to the hotel room, "I don't think so! You seem to remember everything, well I don't! So clearly I am the victim here!"
"Victim!?" Inuyasha scoffed, "You're acting like I raped you! Besides like you said, you don't remember a thing! How do you know you didn't initiate this sex-capade!"
"Sex-capade?" she rolled her eyes while struggling into her skirt and trying to keep the pillow in place while still maintaining her glare, "what are you? Some hormonal teenager who's vocabulary is servery under developed?"
"Teenager? Does this look like a teenagers penis?" he pointed down to his penis, but then stopped, "he's usually...uh...much bigger...."
"Ugh! You're disgusting!" she was finally fully dressed and tossed her pillow at him, "I'm leaving." she grabbed her purse and stormed out the door leaving Inuyasha there to simmer in his anger.
"Why'd you decide to go into hiding now huh?" he mumbled down to his penis before getting up and walking to the shower.

"What happened to you two!?" Sango groaned as Kagome's distressed voice came blaring through the phone, making her instantly regret answering her phone. Rubbing a hand over her face she stole a peak at the clock, only eleven o'clock.
"What are you talking about Kagome? Why are you up so early? You should be in bed at least until 4pm with how much you had to drink," Sango rolled over, shoving her face into her pillow.
"What's it matter what time it is Sango! I'm asking why would you and Rin leave me at that club by myself?"
"You had made a friend," Sango mumbled through a mouthful of pillow.
"Yeah! A friend I ended up in bed with!" the last few words had the shrill to it as Kagome burst into tears on the phone with her best friend. Sango sprang up from bed, ignoring the case of vertigo that came along with a pounding in her head.
"Kagome what?"
"yeahiwokeupandiwasinamotelroomandsomeonewasinbednexttomehewasth emostarrogantassholeeverwhoblamedmeforitall!!!" Sango pulled the phone away from her ear at Kagome's jumbled sentence, "I don't even remember!" Kagome wailed and Sango's heart dropped.
"Honey where are you?"
"Outside the..." she paused and made a sound of disgust, "speedy quick motel." she sobbed once more.
"I'm on my way."

After slamming the front door shut, Inuyasha went and plopped onto his sofa with a sigh. Running his hands over his face he made a sound of disgust. Even though he had continuously scrubbed until the water was icy cold he couldn't get the smell of that girl off his skin. It was as if the intoxicating smell had been burned into his senses and he had no way of ridding himself of it.
"How could I have been that stupid?" he mumbled into his hands. He was almost 24 and never in his life had he gotten so drunk that he hooked up with some random girl at a bar. Keh, you didn't even take her to a nice hotel! You went for the dirt bag of motels. Someone knocked on his front door and he fought to keep from growling. Pushing himself up he slowly made his way to the door, stopping before he reached for the handle and glared at the door. He took another deep breath just to make sure his nose was not deceiving him.
"I know you're home Inuyasha, will you please open up? I want us to talk about what happened the other night," Kikyo called through the front door. Inuyasha rested his head against the door, sighing as the cold surface touched his fevered skin.
"You have a key, why didn't you just use it?" he called through the door. He listened in silence as Kikyo shuffled from foot to foot.
"I didn't think I was welcomed in your apartment anymore...Inuyasha will you just open up? I really would like to look you in the eye for this, not your peephole," he grimaced at her pleading tone. Kikyo was known for many things but begging was not one of them. "Inuyasha, please."
"Keh," he flipped the lock over and moved away from the door and back to the sofa. A few moments later Kikyo peeked into the apartment. He couldn't help it, she looked miserable and adorable all at the same time, his heart did a flip in his chest. He was in love. A fool, but in love.
Shutting the door behind her, Kikyo looked around as if she hadn't been in the apartment in months rather then less then 24 hours. Running her fingertips up and down the coat rack that stood tall next to the door she refused to look at him. When she began to fiddle with the sleeve of his leather jacket with a sad smile on her face Inuyasha could no longer take the silence.
"You wanted to talk Kikyo, so talk," she looked at him startled, as if she had been lost in some deep thought. Blushing, she smoothed her hands down her mid thigh white tank.
"I just wanted to say I was sorry. I never meant to hurt you,"
"No, you never meant to get caught," she ducked her head a little as if he had struck her.
"You have to know it was the first time Inuyasha," she looked up at him with tears in her eyes, "I had no idea he...it started out at harmless flirting when I would go see daddy." she sunk down on the other side of the couch. A hurt look crossed her face as Inuyasha straightened up, pulling his legs out of touching distance. "Was that really necessary Inuyasha?"
"Yes, Kikyo, it was," he stood up and walked a few yards away from her, "I haven't forgiven you, and I'm not sure I will."
"Yasha honey you can't mean that! It's been 5 years, that's a long time to throw away all because there was one little mishap!" Inuyasha rounded on her, eyes a smoldering amber.
"A little mishap? Kikyo you were about to have sex with Naraku in my bed! Our bed! For all I know you still slept with him when I left," Kikyo's eyes widened at his raised voice.
"No, Inuyasha no! I told him to get out! I wouldn't do that to you," tears were cascading down her cheeks, her nose a rosy pink. Inuyasha had one weakness, tears. That weakness was intensified ten fold when it was his own girlfriend crying. Sighing he sunk down onto the couch and pulled her into his arms.
"I'm sorry for getting so upset Kikyo. You're right, we can get through this," his whispered into her hair as she hiccuped. Looking up at him, she gave him a shy smile that was so unlike her. It had him thinking back to the previous night, vaguely remembering the girl from the club giving him a very similar one.
"Thank you," she used the back of her hands to rub the tears away, "you're still coming to the family brunch tomorrow right? My cousin and his fiance will be there, you haven't met them yet."
"Of course I'll be there," Kikyo beamed up at him before leaning up to brush her lips with his.
"I love you."
"And I love you Kikyo."

Kagome sat curled up on Sango's couch. Her hair was wrapped up in a fluffy pink towel that matched the fluffy pink robe Sango kept at her house especially for her. There was another matching robe for Rin as well. The TV was on but Kagome's mind was far away. The previous night kept replaying it's self in her head. She didn't even remember meeting the silver haired mystery man. The last thing she remembered was marking the 5th shot on her arm. It didn't take much to get her drunk, so not only was she in shock over her sleeping partner but also at seeing blue marks all the way up her forearm.Sango returned holding two steaming mugs in her hand. Reaching over Kagome gratefully accepted the mug, inhaling the sweet aroma of her coffee. Strong and black, just the way she always took it, and boy did she need it today.
"So let me see if I can get this straight," Sango started after savoring her first sip of coffee, "you can only recall taking your 5th shot last night, and the next morning you wake up in a hotel room,"
"Motel Sango, that...that was defiantly a cheap sleazy motel," Kagome covered her mouth to keep the cry of agony from escaping. Every time she recalled the smoke stained wallpaper and gritty carpet she cringed and had the urge to shower yet again.
"Ok, so a motel room. You wake up there, in bed, naked, with the guy you left with last night?"
"Only I don't remember him at all Sango!" Kagome took another sip of coffee, trying to settle her nerves.
"Well I remember him, he was defiantly a nice piece of work," Sango winked at her causing to Kagome to choke on her coffee. "Oh calm down, it happ..." she trailed off seeing the tears once again in Kagome's eyes.
"It doesn't happen to me Sango! I'm engaged to Hojo. My high school sweetheart," she set the mug down, pulling her robe tighter around her, "how do I tell him something like this."
"Easy, you don't," Kagome's eyes widened, "Kagome, it was an accident. You will never see this guy again, so why cause both you and Hojo stress over this?" Kagome worried her bottom lip between her teeth as she processed that possibility.
She had always been so honest with Hojo, the idea of keeping her infidelity a secret shook her to the core. But Sango was right. She hadn't even gotten the man's name, how was she ever to run into him again? Tokyo is such a large city the chances of running into the handsome, tanned and toned silver haired man were slim to none. Wait what? Handsome? What is wrong with me! He was a pig headed jerk who had the notion that the lack of inches between his legs counted as an acceptable size.
"You're right, I'll never see him again!" Kagome declared retrieving her coffee once more, "Hojo will never need to know." she nodded while taking sip after sip of her coffee, not really tasting it. But I will, I can only hope it won't eat me inside out.

"You forgave her?" Miroku exclaimed in shock. Inuyasha wouldn't meet his eyes as he pushed around the t-bone steak on his plate. Kikyo had left a few hours after showing up at his house. They had spent every minute of it re-christening his apartment, and helping him forget about the mystery lady from the previous night.
"Yeah man, so let it go," Inuyasha stabbed at the hunk of meat with vigor as Miroku just studied him in silence.
"So how was she?" Inuyasha "keh'd" and rolled his eyes.
"The same as always," Miroku chuckled and took a sip of his water.
"I wasn't referring to Kikyo," Inuyasha looked up at him startled, fighting to keep the rising heat from his cheeks. "The girl from the club last night. I don't mean to sound like a fruit but you're glowing man, and you haven't been beaming inside like that since you lost your virginity."
"Fuck you man," Inuyasha once again prodded his steak, "funny thing about last night is, I don't remember it."
"Wait what?" he choked on his bite of chicken, "you had that fine specimen of a woman drunk and willing and you don't remember it? Did you even get her name? Contact information? Anything?!"
"I'm sure I did, but I don't remember that either," he sat back with a huff, "I remember you handing me the bottle of tequila and from there it's bits and pieces until she suggested we leave. After that, it's all blank until I woke up this morning from her screaming and crying."
"I take it she didn't remember either?" Inuyasha shook his head and Miroku grimaced, "That must have been a hard one to handle."
"She was rude," Miroku's eyes widened, "oh yeah. That sweet girl crying was all an act! She was insulting and said she wasn't to blame for anything that happened between us."
"She must either be a complete bitch or remembers even less then you," Miroku swirled around his drink, "the girls she came in with are regulars. I've never seen her before, but those two are dolls. I'm sure she was just frightened."
"Yeah right. Lets just change the subject ok?" Inuyasha finally pushed his plate away all together, "what are you doing tomorrow around ten in the morning?"
"Most likely sleeping, and not by myself," Inuyasha rolled his eyes before picking up his water.
"Kikyo's family is having a brunch, she mentioned Yura being there and not having an escort," at the mention of one of Kikyo's cousins, the hair demon, Miroku perked up.
"I think I can be free, I'll go ahead and give Yura a call," he smirked taking another large gulp of water, "though dealing with the whole Mori family so early will not be an easy feat!"
"Exactly my friend, that's why we use the buddy system," Miroku chuckled and clinked glasses with Inuyasha.
`~`
Inuyasha tried to hide his smile at Miroku's discomfort. They had only been at the Mori's for less then a half hour and Yura had already introduced him as her fiance to the whole family and would not detach herself from his side. Kikyo would normally be sewn to his hip as well, as she always is at family events, but today she seemed preoccupied. The family chatted about, exchanging jokes across the table and comparing family photos. As happy a family they seemed, they were vicious to one another behind their backs, and some to their faces.
"Oh! They're here! I'm so excited for you all to meet them!" Kikyo's aunt gushed. Kikyo's face suddenly lit up, under the false smile Inuyasha could see the evil sinister look lurking beneath. She stood up, rushing in front of everyone to greet her cousin and his fiance.
"Hojo!" She flung her arms around his neck, pecking him on both cheeks before moving further into the hall, out of sight. "Kagome! So glad to see you! Have you been reading any good magazine's lately? I must say Sacred is amazing! You know how I love to pass along good referrals for reading material." What? Inuyasha strained to see past the see of people as introductions were exchanged and warm welcomes for Hojo.
"Oh let the poor girl breathe!" Hojo's mother shoo'd everyone away, clearing a path for Inuyasha to see. His heart stopped and the air was suddenly thicker then before. No way... him and Miroku both exchanged looks, horror evident in Inuyasha's eyes and an understanding of Inuyasha's not so distant death in Miroku's.
`~`
Kagome froze, her eyes locking on wild amber ones. Every one's chatter was suddenly drowned out by her out heart beat in her ears. This wasn't happening to her. First she was being forced into a dress that looked like it was meant for a 6 year old flower girl, then she had to suffer through brunch with Kikyo Mori and now the object of her recent secret scandalous activities was sitting at the dinning room table clad in an argyle sweater. Hojo's hand on her arm caused her to jump and rip her away from her own thoughts.
"Peanut you look pale, are you ok?" Kagome could only nod and give Hojo a watered down version of her usual smile. She was going to kill Sango. Why had she listened to her? She should have just told Hojo the moment she realized what she had done. At least she wouldn't be sitting here facing the two people who had managed to make it on her black list.
"Kagome, this is Inuyasha Takanashi, Kikyo's boyfriend," Oh God could it get any worse. He gave her a small nod but would no longer make eye contact with her, "Inuyasha," he looked up at Hojo, "I know we've just met, but Kagome and I are getting married in a few months, all my other cousin's are being part of the wedding as well as their significant others, I was wondering if you'd be interested in being one of my groomsmen?" Yup, it can.
