Drunken Silver Night

Chapter One: Getting over my lost life.

“Sango!!!” Kagome shouted through her telephone to her best friend Sango on the other end of the line. “Why...” she closed her teary chocolate eyes for a long moment, trying to control her built up rage that she had accumulated since she had gotten out of the mansion and realized that no one was there to take her home. She was on the verge of lashing out at the girl over the phone. “Why didn’t you look for me Sango? Come get me? Something, anything, why?!” she pleaded as she opened her eyes and flopped down on her full-sized bed, exhausted both mentally and physically.

Around Kagome’s room was the average 15 year old teenage room with white walls that were cluttered with posters of celebrities that she either thought was the most unbelievably sexy man on earth or the girl that she most admired above all others or her favorite bands and singers. She had royal blue carpet and a normal baby blue quilt that went on her bed but was in the floor at the moment. She was rather messy and had clothes strewn all over her room.

“Kagome, what on earth are you talking about? I thought that...” Sango was cut off by the classic phone interruption called the “beep”. Kagome heard Sango give a frustrated sigh over the phone. “Hold on a second Kagome, please.” There was along pause as Sango switched over to answer the beep. Kagome chewed her jaws as she waited as patient as someone in her predicament could be. After about five minutes. “Kagome?”Sango finally returned.

“Yeah I’m here Sango.” Kagome said in a low, tired voice. She was entirely to exhausted after everything that she had went through. She had finally made her way home after walking about a mile before a red Toyota car pooled up and Kagome recognized it as one of her friends from school, Yuka. Yuka had given her a ride home for the price of asking one question after another about the reason she was walking home from a guys house. Kagome side stepped the questions as best as possible, saying things like ‘I don’t wanna talk about it.’ and ‘It’s not what your thinking either.’ Yuka was very noisy but Kagome didn’t think that she would go around starting rumors. She didn’t think anyways.

“Well anyways, what are you talking about? I thought that Rin took you home?” Sango told her. Kagome could here paper rustling then Sango chomping food. She had no manners over the phone, and she hated it when Kagome told her to chew with her mouth closed.

“Why would you think that? I was suppose to be coming home with you and spend the night! That was the plan!” Kagome exclaimed to her. “And quit chewing through the phone!” Sango hated it when Kagome would remind her of her manners.

“Sorry...” She stopped chewing and swallowed. “Me and Miroku...” there was a pause. “Me and Miroku looked for you and Rin but couldn’t find you or her so we just assumed that you guys left with each other already.”

“Well I didn’t...” Kagome sighed.

“Well then what did happen that you are so upset about being left?” Sango asked unknowing.

There was a very long hesitation as Kagome panicked over what to say. Should she tell Sango what happened? Tell her that she got drunk, thought she saw something magic and followed it and ended up in the bed with a stranger that she thought in her drunken stage that she loved. Could she really tell Sango that? Sango was her best friend and in being her best friend Kagome knew that if she told Sango, the girl would want to hunt down the guy that took advantage of her and tear off his nuts then feed them to an unseen force that would destroy all other parts of him for a small fee. That was Sango’s favorite way to kill things, especially Miroku. Of course she could trust Sango with it but could she herself say it? It seemed like some horrible nightmare that someone let happen.

“Kagome...?” Sango asked after not getting an answer for a while. She was getting worried. Something must be wrong because if there wasn’t, Kagome would be yapping a mile a minute about everything that happened, down into detail too.

Kagome choked. Tears welled up in her eyes and she could hardly muster enough strength to talk. “S-sango?” she bit her lower lip and allowed some tears to fall and trail down her soft, flushed cheeks. The tears glistened as Kagome closed her eyes.

Sango gasped. There was something wrong she knew it! “What’s wrong Kagome, tell me?” Sango started to panic. Kagome was hurting and it was killing her. She was her best friend and loved her like a sister! If Kagome was hurting she was hurting, if Kagome was crying, she was crying. And that’s when Sango started to cry as well when she heard her best friends helpless sob.

Kagome knew she was worrying Sango but she couldn’t help it. She needed to tell someone and she couldn’t very well tell her mother now could she? “Sango... Could you please...” she started to cry noticeably. She said between large cries, “Could you please come and get me?”

“Sure Kagome. Yes. I’ll be right over.” Sango’s face was completely wet now with tears that she had gotten from hearing Kagome cry. What in this awful world could have happened to her.

“Thanks Sango...” Kagome hung up her phone and put it on the side table of her bed. She laid back on her bed and cried for all she was worth. The shock of things came all at once when she thought. It was shocking too, when she first realized what happened but it was really hitting her in full force now after she was getting over the other emotions such as anger and frustration. “ Sango please hurry...”
-scene Change-

Sango was driving 80mph all the way to Kagomes house in her white SUV that she got for her sixteenth birthday. Kagomes house which wasn’t really that far away. About maybe five miles or so.

She turned a sharp turn and almost ran over a shaggy looking dog that looked like it had mange. But Sango didn’t really care about the dog. Kagome was the only thing on her mind. And now Miroku since she passed his house and he was happily mowing his lawn with his shirt off. Stupid him for taking her concentration off of her best friend and being so freaking sexy...

She turned again and was being honked and beeped at by the other cars that she was passing and pulling out in front of. She rolled her window down and stuck her hand out and flipped them off. “Fuck you, assholes!” she told them before pulling in swiftly and making the tires leave the ground as she pulled into the Higurashi drive way. She got out of the car and slammed the car door. She noticed that Mrs. Higurashi’s car was gone and so figured that she was gone with it. She ran up the walkway and to the front door and noticed that it was locked so she went around the house to the back door and opened it with ease. She glanced around and then darted for the stairs and directly to the place she knew best, Kagomes room.

Kagome was laying down in her bed with her face in her pillow crying. Sango’s heart gave a sharp pang at seeing her like this. She walked over and set next to her on the bed. She reached her hand out and smoothed Kagomes hair back and stroked it. Kagome felt Sangos touch and lifted her face from the pillow to look at her. Her eyes were swollen from crying and her nose was running. Sango held open her arms and Kagome turned to her and cried in her lap as Sango sat there quietly, stroking her hair. This was all that she could do for the girl at the moment and that was all that she did do for at least an hour.

The crying girl finally lifted her head to look at Sango and smiled slightly. “Thank you. Thank you so much Sango. I love you!” She hugged Sango and Sango hugged her back tightly.

“I love you too Kagome.” she told her with an extra squeeze. “You ready to go?” she asked.

“Yeah, just let me get my shoes on, okay?” Kagome told her.

“Yeah, sure.” Sango said and walked over to the bedroom door as she waited for her to get her shoes on.

“Okay I’m ready.” Kagome said as she walked over to Sango. Sango smiled in acknowledgment and walked out as Kagome followed.

They walked down the stairs and to Sangos car. Sango got in the driver seat as Kagome got in the passenger side. “Where do you want to go Kagome?” Sango asked her as she pulled out of the driveway of the Higurashi’s home.

Kagome thought for a long time and finally decided where would be the best place. But first she wanted to go and get Rin and let her know as well. She was her best friend too. “Sango, can we go and get Rin? I want her to know as well.”

Sango nodded. “Sure Kagome, if she’s home.”

They drove down the street that they knew that Rin lived on and ended up at her house which wasn’t one of the best houses since she only lived there with her drunkard of a uncle. They pulled into the driveway and got out of the car. They both walked up to Rin’s door and knocked. They waited as they heard dogs bark. Rin had always loved dogs with a passion and she had five and one of the females was pregnant. The two girls heard yelling over the dogs’ barking then a loud bang as the back door was slammed. Rin was coming around the back of the house and stopped when she saw Kagome and Sango.

“What are you guys doing here?” She asked with a slight blush. She thought that they might have heard her and her Uncle in another fight.

Sango and Kagome walked off the small porch that lead to Rins door and over to her, standing by her car holding three big duffle bags.

“We were wondering if you want to come with us, Kagome has something to tell us.” Sango told her and Kagome looked away.

Rin blinked in confusion at Sangos words and looked at Kagome. She saw the sadness in Kagome’s eyes and knew something had to be wrong because Kagome never looked like that. She was always smiling and being the big goof that she was.. “Sure... But um...” she looked down at the bags. “Can either of you give a place to stay for a while?”

Kagome smiled at Rin. “I will, Mom won’t mind.”

Rin smiled back at her. “Thanks Kagome.” Rin threw her bags in her car. “ I have to take my car so where ever your going we have to drop my car off or have me follow you around. If that’s not a problem that is?”

Sango looked at Kagome for the answer and Kagome shook her head. “I don’t mind. We can drop it off at Sango’s since that was were we were going anyway.”

Rin nodded got into her car as Sango and Kagome got into Sangos. They drove to Sangos house as Rin followed. They reached her house and parked. They got out and Sango and Rin were heading into Sangos house when Kagome shouted for them to stop. They both turned around and looked at her. She stood there with a slight smile on her face and tears in her eyes.

“We’re not going into Sango’s house....” Her smile widened. “We’re going to the secret place.”

Rin and Sango looked at each other and then back to the other girl. It was shocking. They hadn’t been to the secret place in years and she wanted to go now?

The secret place was located in the mountains behind Sangos house since her house was in the middle. Kagome lived a little ways down the road and Rin lived a little way up the road. It was the place they met in the middle of the night to figure out something or the place they went to when something extreme was about to happen or had already happened. It wasn’t anything special, just a big flat rock in the middle of a wide creek that hardly ever got wet. In the middle of the rock was a name carved there. The name was unique and each of them fought over who was going to get to name there first child daughter that when they were younger. And if Kagome wanted to go there now then whatever she was about to tell them was very big news.

“Are you sure Kagome?” Rin asked. Truthfully she was afraid of whatever Kagome was wanting to tell them. Because she knew it was big and it wasn’t going to be good.

Kagome nodded and started walking her way up to the back of Sangos house and up the mountain hill. “Come on!” She hollered to her friends..

Sango and Rin shrugged and followed Kagome. It took about two minutes for them to fully reach their sacred rock and when they did they held there breath in remembrance of all the good and bad times that they had had here. Kagome was the first to set down and then Rin and Sango followed. The looked at the carved name and as a ritual when they were younger, they traced the name on the rock.

Kagome let tears fill back up into her eyes and she sniffed to keep her nose from running. She looked back up at her best friends with a fake smile. “Well... I guess your both wondering what I’m going to tell you.”

They both nodded like it was obvious.... and it was. Rin was especially clueless.

“When I was dancing with you guys, Sango. My throat started getting really dry and I went to go get something to drink to sooth it and so I went to the punch table.” Kagome paused some and then continued. “I poured me a glass and drank it, ignoring how it tasted. I thought it was punch and it was but it had been spiked so I guess I just can’t hold alcohol down because I started feeling really drunk and funny after merely a glass. I can’t remember a whole lot after that just that I almost tripped and this really hot guy caught me. He was really pretty but he had to leave for some reason I don’t remember why. After he left I thought I might go to the bathroom and wash my face and then ask Sango to take me home that I didn’t feel well.” There was yet another pause from Kagome and the two girls wondered whether she was going to continue. This was really getting suspenseful and they wanted her to continue. She did, “I never made it to the bathroom... I was in the crowd making my way there when something caught my eye. It was silver..” she stopped again.

“Silver what?” Sango and Rin asked in unison.

“I don’t really remember but I followed it and then I woke up alone in a bed... naked.” She looked up as her friends gasped. “I do remember some parts and I can remember his face some too. I fount his wallet but it didn’t have anything in there as far as information just on the front of it it said Inuyasha.... in silver.” By this time Kagome had tears fallen from her eyes.

“Kagome...” Rin said softly as she stroked Kagomes arm.

“I’ll kill that low life son of a bitch! I’ll tear his nuts off and feed it to an unseen force! I swear if I ever meet him he will be in a world of hurt. Seriously. Let me see him!” Sango was stopped by Kagomes loud sob. She looked down at her being held by Rin, crying. Sango set down beside them and stroked Kagome back. They all held each other and let Kagome cry. The poor girl...

A/I hope you all like this chapter n.n It didn’t take me as long to write this one really. It took a long time to put it up but not write it. Well see ya!! -smiles and walks off-
