Jason watched as he was enveloped but the blue light, as though he was in free fall, he cursed as he felt Kagome disappear. He landed lightly in the bottom of the well, he launched out, crouching on the rim of the wooden well, as he looked around. He checked his cell phone, and groaned. No Service flashed on the screen but he figured as much. He shut it off and pocketed it. He looked up in time to dodge a miko arrow, and put his agility, endurance, and speed training to the test, as the old woman that Taisho, and Kagome called Keade shot at him.

“Miko Keade!” Jason growled, finally pouncing and pinning the old bag. “I am under Lady Kagome's protection.” He said, looking straight into her eye.

“Ye are a demon, ye are not Lord Inu Taisho, ye are not under her protection.” Keade said.

Inu Yasha stood and assisted the old woman to her feet. “Shoot me.” Inu Yasha backed up about twelve feet, held out his arms, and stood still.

Keade did as asked, and as her job demanded. She released her bow, the arrow glowed with miko energy, and the arrow struck home, just above his heart. It sunk in, and Keade watched as the pink glow of the miko energy absorbed, and she could see it travel under his skin up to the rosary.

“Ow.” Jason ripped out the arrow. “That kinda tickled…” He looked down at it, and then looked at the old Miko. “You made me bleed on my favorite shirt.”

“You are under Kagome's protection… What have you done with her?!” Keade asked.

Shippou shook his head, as he saw Kagome land in a crouch at the bottom of the well. “Dad's almost always right, the old fart…” Shippou grumbled. “Stand to one side, I don't wanna land on you.”

Kagome did as she was asked, with a sigh.

Shippou dropped, and disappeared in the blue light.

“Cra-“ Resonated through the well house, as “Ap!!!” echoed through the meadow where the ancient well stood.

Jason froze, his ears went back. He would have laughed, if the situation wasn't so depressing…

Shippou popped up beside Jason. “Sup.” Shippou said, as he looked at the Hanyou. “I do not like that hole in the ground…”

Jason shook his head. “I was just making progress with Keade-baba, and then you show up, thank heaven she's out of arrows, I'm not taking shots for you.” Jason rolled his eyes.

“How do ye know my name, and what have ye done with the Priestess Kagome.” Keade demanded.

Jason glared out of the top of his eyes at Shippou. “That's it, you're coming on this quest with me, no way in hell am I dealing with this without some one who knows what the hell I'm talking bout. Turn off your cell phone, there's no signal, don't waste the battery.”

“Keade? My Name's …” Shippou paused looking at Jason. “Shippou. I'm Kitsune Youkai, I'm a friend of, a friend of your priestess.” He bowed as was the custom.

“Name's Jason, half Inu Youkai, of the western clan. Consider us guards, we are escorting you to Lord Inu Taisho, to deliver the message that Lady Kagome was supposed to deliver.” Inu Yasha said, handing Keade the note that Kagome had written.

The note explained everything, leaving out the fact that Miko's didn't exist anymore, and that Jason was the son of Inu Taisho.

Keade looked up at the two boys, and then back at the note.

“How far do you reckon the palace is?” Shippou asked.

“About two klicks that way, and fifty stories up.” Jason said with a smirk.

“Okay smart ass, I meant the one from this time…” Shippou said, crossing his arms.

“About three days, slow run, if we stop at night, for lazy kitsune, who don't run as much as they used to…” Jason smirked.

“Rock, Paper, Scissors, for who carries her first?” Shippou suggested, after flaunting his tongue and stud, at Jason's taunt.

“Remember what dad taught us, `don't stick it out, unless you plan on using it', and if you try to lick me I will tie you to a stake, run to the village, get arrows, run back, and let the Miko use your disgusting carcass as target practice.” Jason said. “You are carrying her for now, I saw you file your claws, with this Naraku, maraku, faraku whatever the hell his name is on the loose, and looking to kill the old man, I need to be able to get to my sword fast without worrying about dropping the woman.”

“I thought his name was Danaku? Screw it, well call him Gilligan.” Shippou said.

Jason smirked. “Right on.” He thought for a moment. “Better yet, let's call him Squishy.” Jason said, sarcastically.

“I'll see your squishy and raise you a Mr. Squishy.” Shippou offered.

“Nah, let's stick with Gilligan, lets hit the road…” Jason smirked.

A few hours later Jason and Shippou were leaping from tree to tree, and running.

“You know… I always hated long trips…” Shippou said.

“I am not playing the alphabet game.” Jason said firmly.

“Hmm… I know…” Shippou said. He smirked, clearing his throat, as he shifted the Miko's weight a little. “I'M ON THE HIGH WAY TO HELL!” Shippou started singing at the top of his lungs.

Jason missed the tree he was aiming for, and landed in a tumbling heap, he looked up at Shippou, as he dusted himself off, glad that he had put his sneakers back on before he'd left his time. “Shippou, you have to have a tongue to have a tongue stud.” Jason growled, popping a few inches of Tetsusaiga out of the sheath at his hip.

“Yes, sir!” Shippou, returned to his silence.

Jason growled something about wishing he was an only child as he took off again, with Shippou at his heals.

Kagome was sitting cross legged in the bottom of the well, meditating, when Sesshoumaru found her, about three hours after Jason and Shippou had left.

“Aye, Miko.” Sesshoumaru called.

Kagome slowly looked up at him. “Lower a rope, please?” She asked, getting to her feet.

Sesshoumaru did, smirking all the while.

Kagome climbed up. “Shippou jumped in to retrieve me, but he disappeared just like Jason. I've been down there for a while.” She said with a soft smile. “I felt Keade shoot your brother, but he is safe.” She said thoughtfully.

Sesshoumaru rolled his eyes. “Damn.”

Kagome smacked him in the chest. “He is a nice guy from what I have seen, unlike some pompous brat I knew.” She smiled up at him.

Sesshoumaru shook his head. “Kept me entertained.”

“You were my voice when I couldn't speak…” Shippou sang, hitting all the high notes, as he ran with Inu Yasha. The only reason the Kitsune was alive was because Jason was currently carrying the old Miko.

“Hang tight for a second, please, Lady Keade.” Jason whispered.

Keade did as she was asked. She'd never traveled demon back, but these two were fast and in their prime, the Jason one looked like Inu Taisho, and Sesshoumaru, and the Kitsune made her laugh.

“Alright, runt, you wanna play the obnoxious song game?” Jason asked, a challenge in his voice.

“Hit me with your best shot, Yash, I'll roll with the punches!” Shippou taunted.

“You asked for it.” Jason smirked, as he kept pace with the Kitsune. He started in…. “SAVE A HORSE RIDE A COWBOY…”

Shippou's eyes went wide, as he looked at Jason, he forgot to land, he slammed into a tree, tumbled, crashed, and tumbled some more. “Oh God Noo! Save me! Kami have mercy!” The Kitsune screamed in agony…

Jason suddenly landed, sliding to a stop, he gently set Keade down behind him, and he had a hand on Tetsusaiga's sheath, and his other hand on the hilt.

Shippou staggered over. “What?”

“We've been followed, and we are currently surrounded. Protect Lady Keade, runt.” Jason whispered.

“No prob, prince.” Shippou whispered, as he dropped the spell that concealed his katana, and his chain scythe.

“I'm a no body here, just like you, don't forget that.” Jason growled at Shippou.

They were surrounded but they couldn't see their enemy, till one man came walking up. It was a fifteen year old Sesshoumaru…

“Aw Damnit, this is just my fucking day isn't it, Miko's, Gilligan, Dad, now this pompous asshole… “ Jason ranted his ears drooped, he stood there his weight on one leg. “Okay, Fluffy, what the hell do you want?”

Shippou snorted, holding back his laughter.

Keade raised an eyebrow at Jason, and then looked to Shippou for an explanation.

Sesshoumaru was barely six foot, at fifteen years old. He growled drawing his sword on Jason. “You have trespassed on the Western lands, you are not welcome here, and you have insulted a prince, prepare to die.” Sesshoumaru said, growling.

Jason looked to the sky, praying for patience. “Congratulations, you're a fucking genius, the fox and me are body guards to Lady Keade, sent by Lady Kagome to give a message to your old man.” Jason said.

“You will not insult the Lord.” Sesshoumaru growled, lunged, and tripped over his hakama, and his tail, he face planted the ground.

Jason crouched beside him, and lifted the twit back to his feet. “Right… Give it about five hundred years, and you'll laugh at it… Look, `Lord Sesshoumaru' may we have permission to give this message to the Lord Inu Taisho…” Inu Yasha asked. `Note to self: Beat the crap out of dad when we get back to Kansas, Toto, and smack Sesshoumaru…'

Shippou was smiling like an idiot.

“You, you smell of Inu Taisho, and of me.” Sesshoumaru said, growling at Inu Yasha.

“So your nose does work… Look I'll explain if I have to, to your father, now please, may we accompany you back to the palace?” Jason asked. “A man, he does not want this message to reach your father, I think his name is garaku? I dunno, the Kitsune and I have been referring to said man as Gilligan.”

Shippou had his hands clenched at his sides, oh he was going to have fun holding this over the two boys' heads for years.

“Naraku.” Sesshoumaru supplied. “Lady Kagome sent you?” He asked, blushing ever so slightly, only Jason could pick it up.

“Okay, I still like Gilligan. Neway, yeah, she is safe, and she will not be back for a while, she is unharmed, and she did survive the fight with the dragon demon.” Jason said, seeing his brother's eyes light up, so this was what the man was like before the ice prince was born…

“If Lady Kagome sent you, then we will return to the palace, and get the message to my father, but I would like to know, why you did not defend yourself when I came at you?” Sesshoumaru asked.

“Death isn't anything to be afraid of, and you, Destroyer of the Circle of Life, well in another life we were as close as brothers.” Jason smirked.

Shippou lost it, he covered his mouth with his hand to hide his smile, as he did his best to hold back his laughter.

“What are your names? And are you a Hanyou? I've never met one…” Sesshoumaru asked.

“Call me Jason, I am a prince in my own land, but I prefer Jason, and we'll leave it at that. The Kitsune is Nick, and you've met Lady Keade, several times I believe.” Jason smirked, as he remembered hearing some stories his father had told him of Sesshoumaru's child hood. “Yeah, I'm a Hanyou, Half human, half royal Inu.” He smirked, shaking his head about something.

Shippou looked to Jason as he called him Nick. He wondered why then realized that they weren't supposed to know about time travel till Lady Kagome showed up. Inu Taisho was the only exception.

One of the full blooded Dog demons, that was one of Sesshoumaru's personal guard, carried Keade, as two guards, including the one carrying the miko, Shippou, Sesshoumaru, and Jason torn off for the Palace. They had reached the base of the mountain by the end of the second day, which was faster then Jason expected.

“We'll be there before the moon reaches it's peak.” Sesshoumaru said.

They entered the castle or palace, and Shippou, on guard, the sleeping Miko, and Jason waited in the main hall.

Inu Taisho, in a white silk Kimono, and Hakama with his family crest on the back came storming out with Sesshoumaru jogging to match his father's stride.

Shippou, and Jason hit one knee, heads bowed…

Lady Keade leaned on her bow slightly as she inclined her head to the dog demon. “Lord.” She greeted.

“Lady Keade.” He bowed his head slightly. “Raise.” He growled at the Hanyou and the Kitsune.

Shippou did as he was told, Jason being brave, bold, and daring, looked directly into the Lord's eyes as he stood slowly. “My lord.” The Hanyou said.

Lady Keade explained what she knew to the Lord, about Kagome, and Naraku's forces in the Lord's court, wanting to kill Taisho.

“Yeah, this dude really wants you dead.” Shippou said.

Jason's eyes flashed as he growled a command to Shippou, who immediately snapped his mouth shut.

“Dude?” The lord asked.

“Please, excuse the incompetence of my poor orphaned, and adopted brother. He is as you say, not the smartest flea on the dogs back.” Jason said.

“Who are you, and your brother, how do I know that you can provide any protection for my Lady Kagome.” Inu Taisho said.

“Well the way she tells it, she isn't anyone's. Two My brother and I were trained by a Lord, since we were old enough to bleed. Three, My name is Jason, and His is Nick.” Inu Yasha said.

“Those are not your names, I can smell the lie on you.” The Lord said.

“Fair enough. I've had many names, I prefer Jason, because it isn't my real name, and people don't call me for the prince I am with the name Jason. Call me the Worthless Hanyou if you must.” Jason smirked.

Shippou stared at Jason's back, Jason had never okayed anyone to call him that.

“You want proof I take it that I can protect the priestess. Come with me, away from Sesshoumaru.” Inu Yasha lead the way into the `living room'.

Inu Taisho followed.

Jason closed the door, with him, Shippou, a Guard, and the Lord in the room.

“My name is Inu Yasha.” Jason started, and explained as little as he could about the well, and how he was the Lord's second son. “Shippou was an orphan you took in… You want proof that I am your son?” Jason offered. He drew Tetsusaiga, and closed his eyes for a moment, it shifted into the great fang. “You carry this on your hip, it was made from your own fang, and it can slay one hundred demons in a single stroke. I have mastered all of the attacks. You gave this to me on my 18th birthday. You gave Sesshoumaru a similar sword with very different powers.” Jason said.

Inu Taisho touched the blade, and looked at Jason. “Keep her safe, and I will heed well her warning. Thank her for me, I will send guard with you to make sure you, and Shippou make it to the well safely. I will keep the miko here, so that I may protect her.” The Lord said.

Kagome was asleep on the couch at Nanna Higurashi's. Inu Taisho poked her gently, sensing his sons would be returning soon.

“Nooooo. Bad Kitty, my pot pie.” Kagome mumbled. Needless to say she'd been introduced to modern food, and Television.

Lord Inu Taisho laughed deeply, causing Sesshoumaru, and the others to look at him…
