Fate
The sun was shining brightly through the hospital windows. Kagome shifted and opened her eyes. Wow, I slept so well. I wonder what these pillows are made of? Just then a loud knock came on the door and a nurse in a white uniform entered the room.
“How are you feeling dear?” she asked.
“I…I feel fine” Kagome mumbled.
“That's very nice, we really where worried about you when your mother called, she was hysterical and saying…um…well you made a very, very good progress.” The nurse smiled, walking up to Kagome's bed.
Kagome was stunned. If she remembered correctly when she last woke up, her body hurt so much she was sure that she had a couple of broken bones, and her ankle did hurt at all anymore.
“How long have I slept for?” she asked in a weak voice, almost afraid to hear the answer.
“Only three days, since you have been admitted here, dear” The nurse was starting to give her the creeps, standing there staring at her as if she was a rare caged animal, and smiling. Maybe I just look weird. Who knows maybe it's a payday?
“Only three days!” The though just hit her. “But, but what about my bones I was sure, I mean it hurt so much and the blood…” as the memory came to her, she started to tremble and lost control of her voice.
“Hush honey, its ok” The nurse assured her. “you are completely healed. By the gods I do not know how it happened but it seems that only the memory will bring you pain. You know the doctors where too so confused, we where sure that you would live long, but then comes the next morning and you are healed! Well there very still some scratches and bruises but it was like magic. You must have a guardian angel.” She smiled again and offered her a hand to help Kagome get up.
Kagome just sat there listening, not believing her ears, well her rational mind couldn't believe but then again anything was possible. She looked at the nurse and the hand that was offered to her.
“Th...thank you” she said taking the hand and getting up. Her head begun to spin and she felt like the world was crashing.
The nurse saw her take an unsure step and then as Kagome began to swing from side to side. “Take it easy, you have been in bed for the last couple of days, its only normal to feel weak, let your body adjust” she said and help Kagome to sit back down on the bed.
Well this isn't all that bad, after all the fights I've been through I can take a bit, I wonder if the jewel healed me?! She sat up straight her eyes shaped open. Why haven't she though of this before? Of course it was the jewel's work. She, Kagome, was the jewel's guarding and the jewel was not going to let her die…even if it was becoming corrupt by her unsure heart. They must really think that I am weir, how the hell am I going to explain to them my miraculous recovery, Kagome mused. Think Kagome think! She nudged her mind.
“Your mother visited you yesterday, I must say that she is a wonderful and a strong woman, Kagome. You know if anything like this happened to my daughter I would die from a heart attack.” The nurse laughed.
“Mother! How is she? Oh when can I go home?” Kagome was snapped back from her thoughts, Oh my god! Mom! She must be so upset and what about Sota?
“Oh she looked just fine, quite tired so we send her home, there was nothing to be worried as we saw that you felt much, much better, I must say again….that we don't know how you where able to heal but all that matters is that you are alive. And if you want to can go home today, that's if you are sure that you are feeling absolutely fine.”
Kagome smiled, this was her day, they where even going to question her or put her in the lab to find out the secret behind her swift recovery.

InuYasha was pissed.
“No it just doesn't work!!!” he screamed.
“Now, now please calm down, your temper is not going to help us solve this mystery and bring Lady Kagome back.” Miroku insisted. It's been four days since InuYasha returned telling them, or rather snapping and screaming in his case, that the well would not let him travel to Kagome's time.
“There got to be something…something…” Kaede closed her eyes and tried to concentrate on the problem. This was not good, not good at all she thought.
“Oh come on grandma! Kagome might be in trouble she might even be DEAD, for all I know and that's why that damn well would not let me through!” InuYasha yelled, walking around the hut. He clenched his fists. What if she was really dead?
“RELAX InuYasha. The matter might be not with Kagome, well not in fact either that she is dead or alive, but in the jewel. I believe it was the jewel that let you and no one else to pass through the well with Kagome.”
“So what you are saying grandma is that the freaking jewel changed its mind?” he retorted.
“So to speak, yes, changed its mind.” Kaede stated looking at InuYahsa. He shot her back a glare and stormed out of the hut, saying that he had to have sometime to think.
“Is there anything that we can do to…” Miroku hopefully looked at Sango as his voice failed him.
“…to bring Kagome-chan back” she finished for him, as she was quietly sitting and watching the drama unfold.
“The best that ye can do I believe, is to continue to collect the remaining shards and to even face Naraku. I will wish ye luck and try to help as much as I can. I know that this is hard for all of us, but please if our spirits will fail us now… then the future does not look so good.” Kaede finished getting up. “Now ye must go and don't waste anymore time” She said ushering them outside “come back when u have more jewel shard then maybe I might think of a trick to bring Kagome back.” with these words Miroku and Sango got up and left. Their hearts where filled with worry for Kagome and InuYasha. What did future hold in store for then, they didn't know, and could only hope that it will ease the pain and let them see that better side of things to come.

Kagome got back home and spend the next few days sulking in her bed, which made her mother worry for her even more. Well she was greatly pleased to see her daughter safe and whole, as she was sure that she might have lost her on that day, but seeing Kagome so upset was making her hear ache.
“Honey are you awake” her mother called slightly opening the door.
“Hu..m..m” Kagome mumble something, and shifted in her bed.
“I am going to open the window dear and really have to get up or are you planning to spend the rest of your days ling in this bed feeling sorry for yourself and…” She could finish her sentence as Kagome screamed.
“NO!”
“Dear?”
“I am getting up mom.” Kagome sat straight up and rubbed her eyes.
“I ..I will just forget about everything and I really want to feel better, I will not feel sorry for myself or anything” she proclaimed climbing out of her bed and going to the closet. `and to day, I am going shopping!” she said smiling.
In an hour she was ready to go. She called her friends and they agreed to meet each other at the mall. They all of course wondered in Kagome gotten all better and if her lungs where not bothering her anymore. Another one of her grandfather excuses to explain her frequent absence from school.
She assured them that she felt completely better, skipping the part that she just got out of the hospital, but what she was to say as she didn't have a scratch left.
Kagome walked down the shrine steps and around the corner to the bus stop. She did not have to wait long and about in five minutes she was on the bus. The trip didn't take long and about in ten minutes she was already only two blocks away from the mall. She got of the bus and started looking for her friends. She knew that she was early but maybe they already where waiting for her?
Well it looks that they are no here yet, she thought, making her way through the crowd of people who where gathering to see a man play a violin in the center of the mall. Just then something caught her eye, or to be exact someone.
A tall man was leaning against the door of the clothing shop. He looked completely normal, well except that he was taller then most of the people and that he had silver hair?
“Sesshomaru” the name left her lips as she froze, she blinked, but he was gone.

Well that took me long to update, please do not kill me o.o ok?
The plot will just get better from here. I do not think that I will be mentioning Miroku and Sango any more, unless to explain what happened. I just wanted to say that this is not Kag/Sessh or Kag/Inu fic, although it may turn out to be if you want that is…in the latter chapters ^_^
For now please enjoy and R&R!!!
