Here's the next installment of our Kagome/Naraku saga…sorry for the wait , this semester was rough and half of my home town burned to the ground back in October, anyway things are much better now. Chapter 4: Lost But Not Forgotten

“You can't hide forever Kikyou, You're not supposed to be here, let me send you to the afterlife in peace” said Sango with a growl as she leaned against a tree and held her bleeding arm, she'd already pulled the arrow out but the wound continued to bleed, She tied a piece of cloth around it to stop the bleeding and kept her eyes open for the priestess who was lingering in the trees.

After a catfight earlier Kikyou narrowly escaped with her half-life. Sango was a deadly opponent as she could not be purified and Kikyou was tiring fast.

Luckily for Kikyou, Sango was distracted when a yokai came out of the forest and attacked the women, Kikyou did nothing hoping the yokai would kill the human off then she would kill the yokai but it was dispatched by Sango very easily, much to Kikyou's dismay.

“I know where your precious kagome is…..she is with Naraku, I can feel it in our soul we have found him….Kami I felt such delicious pleasure from his touch when he carried me into his castle long ago when I gifted him with his new body, I begged him to take my body and show me what it is like to know a man, but he would not, he snarled at me with disgust….I knew then that it was Kagome he desired” she said with a shiver

“I hated him…..he hated me, but kami I loved him too…..I died so long ago to become Kagome because my soul yearned for its mate….Naraku. It was not him who needed me, it was I who needed him…. But he hates Kikyou…..always has…..yet his soul knows Kagome is his” she said strangely

“LIAR!” roared Sango as she looked for Kikyou in the trees in a rage

“hahahahaha, I wish…. Kami slayer I wish I was lying, I wish it was I whom he loved with such passion, but it is not…….he loves her and I know she loves him….. Inuyasha was a distraction….. a toy to pass the time with….Naraku is the real thing” said Kikyou sinisterly

“When this piece of soul returns to Kagome I too will feel what it is to know true love….even if I Kikyou will not know….at least my soul will know true love through Kagome” said Kikyou as she laughed.

“It's all I ever wanted….” She chuckled dejectedly

“Give it up slayer, I will go to hell when I am ready” called Kikyou from behind a tree with an Arrow notched. She'd shot Sango four times, each time closer to the target of Sango's heart, this night Kikyou would have no problem dispatching the little friend of her reincarnation.

Kirara went back to and stayed with Miroku upon Sango's orders because unlike Sango Kirara could be purified, and even though it was a low blow she did not put it past Kikyou to purify the fire-cat that once belonged to Midoriko herself.

“You'll go to hell now you BITCH!” roared Sango as she sent her Hiraikotsu hard at the clay golem who did not see her coming.

The priestess was weakened substantially already because Sango had dispatched her soul stealers. She had not had a fresh soul in too long and knew if she did not get one soon she would die.

The Hiraikotsu hit the clay priestess head on ripping her clay body up upon impact setting what souls Kikyou had left in her body free, with a brilliant light .

“Rest now” breathed Sango as she came and retrieved the bone weapon from the body.

“te….tell….tell Ka…Kagome I….I'm sorry” said Kikyou before she let out a long breath, suddenly in an instant all that remained was a pile of ash and bones.

Sango gathered the remains in her apron and stowed them away so she could return them to Kaede.

“NOW!” roared a voice from behind Sango as she felt something hit the back of her knee. She'd been up for over 24 hours and was running on adrenaline up until she killed Kikyou, now she was spent and not ready for this fight but she would give it what she had.

She turned hard and released her hidden weapon lopping off the head of her attacker who she identified as a wolf demon.

She immediately backed down “What is the meaning of this? Where is Kouga?” asked Sango as the demons chuckled.

“Kouga is no longer in power” said a female voice from behind her.

“Ayame?” asked Sango in wonder,

“Yes” she said with a smile, suddenly a dart hit Sango's neck and all was black.

“Take the stench pellets from her and take her to the den, she will help lure Inuyasha to us” she said.

“Can we play with her?” asked the demon who held the limp woman as he massaged her round backside.

“No, not yet” said Ayame giving him a warning look as he continued to touch the female.

“Come , we will drop this one off at the den and then we have business in the west” said Ayame as she led her pack North.

OOOOOOOOOOO The Next Morning in the central lands OOOOOOOOOO

Kagome awoke to a soft snore and air rhythmically hitting the top of her head, she smiled into the broad chest of her bed mate and nuzzled his soft skin.

“mmmm” she murmured against him as he tightened his hold of her and rolled them over a bit so she was under him, in a playful attempt to make her go back to sleep, he'd never had such a delicious sleep in all his life, he'd had a wonderful sexual release the night before followed by a deep restful sleep with his chosen female in his arms, her scent relaxing him fully.

She whined and snuggled into his pillow before she yelped as he picked her up out of bed and kissed her pink lips before planting her on the floor.

They dressed for the day, he helped her into a beautiful blue kimono he'd brought for her and she dressed him in his usual blue Kimono and Hakama with little green and yellow swishes on them.

It felt so good to help his female dress and have her dress him in return, it was so intimate, he ran his fingers through her hair after she brushed it then turned to brush his.

They went to the main chamber to find it empty, he sat at the table as she prepared tea for them.

“this is what it is like to have a mate' he thought as he watched his little female prepare some tea, eggs and rice for breakfast.

His thoughts drifted to the moments before and how she'd dressed him with such care and brushed his long hair securing it into a high pony tail and kissing his lips lightly and lovingly before they left the room.

She went to him and placed the steaming cup in front of him, stirring him from his thoughts, he caught her wrists and pulled her into a searing kiss, she fell into his lap and kissed him with the passion she'd been holding back since the morning.

He felt his soul ignite when she kissed him, he deepened the kiss as he felt his Jaki meld with her Miko-ki making them both feel euphoria.

She opened her eyes and withdrew for air looking into his eyes, climbing into his very soul and soothing it. He breathed hard as he felt their essences connect, it was like nothing he'd ever felt before, the only thing that came close was his other kisses with his Kagome but now after having experienced such pleasure at her hands….or mouth his soul gave in completely, they were one.

She looked into his eyes and he into hers, they interlaced their fingers slowly and gently almost like a dance, her small hands wound with his as he brought them up. He lowered his head to her shoulder where he took her scent in fully , his eyes rolled back before he kissed her soft skin lightly

“You do not have to….” he began realizing he'd let his guard down a bit too much but stopped mid sentence when her finger covered his lips to stop him from speaking as he looked into her hopeful blue eyes , he'd said too much but he did not regret it because he meant it.

She looked up at him for a split second, which seemed like an eternity for him. Her lips turned up into a smile and she touched his face tenderly with her other hand

“I love you” she mouthed tracing his lips with her soft finger before she pulled him into another soul binding kiss, waves of light and love surrounding them.

Each gave the other everything they had to give, binding them in a way they had never been bound to another.

He shifted her so she was now in his lap straddling his thighs as he sat cross legged and she wrapped her legs around his waist. The hit was intended to inflict pain on a demoness, it was too much for Kagome's little human body to take, she fell unconscious immediately and Naraku's eyes filled with worry and guilt as he picked her up and cradled her in his arms.

“FOOL!” hissed a voice from behind Kagura, the witch had seen it all and was irritated with her pupil's carelessness and inability to control his rage.

“Don't you know a mother will do anything to protect her child….especially this Miko, you gave her a child without asking for her permission, you made her child attack her and her comrades on numerous occasions, you punished and beat her child. When the Miko heard that this woman was hers, her daughter a demoness, she did not harbor anger or resentment, she gave this woman , unconditional love and you would do well to remember that she is your child as well, she will not let anyone harm her child while she is capable of protecting her ” said the witch

Naraku was stunned and realized the witch was right, his beautiful little Miko loved the child he'd given her, regardless of the circumstances. She loved him and she loved their child, he had to be sensitive to her if she was to be his mate.

“Leave us and do not return until you've learned the meaning of restraint.” said the witch forcefully as he put Kagome down gently after he kissed her forehead.

Kagura glared at him as she picked kagome up herself and snuggled into her protectively

Naraku was gone in an instant.

Kagome awoke a couple of hours later with a raspy groan

“Child….he did not mean to strike you” said a voice , the witch looked at kagome who nodded

She understood he was angry at Kagura but she needed to protect her. Kagome put her hand over her heart and mouthed Kagura's name.

“yes I know, you wanted to protect her” said the witch with a smile

“You will make a fine mother to your offspring” she said as she handed kagome a bowl of broth

“….I believe you must heal from the pain in your heart first, the pain caused by the hanyou dog” said the witch

“only after the hanyou dog is gone from your thoughts can you heal yourself completely” she said pointing to Kagome's scarred neck

“the clay Miko must also die, her pull on your soul is draining your power.” she said as Kagome nodded absently thinking of what Inuyasha might say to her upon their next meeting.

`hmp, he'll probably be too busy with Kikyou to notice I'm even there…to think I settled for that….half-love….Kami I was stupid' she thought

OOOOOOOOOOOO northwest of the central lands OOOOOOOOOOOO

Miroku awoke with a dark head plastered to his chest, her breath was foul, her hair was coarse and she was snoring loudly, he finally remembered he'd brought the ugly woman from the night before into his bed.

He cringed as he remembered how badly she stank when he took her but he needed to sate his lust and Sango was still not willing to help him so he had to look elsewhere. He knew Sango smelled delicious from the times he stole the panties Kagome had bought her.

Kirara mewed at Inuyasha and he nodded

“Kirara thinks the wolves took Sango” he said as Miroku paled

“wh…why would they take her?” he asked

“I don't know monk but I ran into Kouga not too long ago, he gave me his shards and told me to give them to Kagome. He seemed like he was running from something, that wolf stink I smelled ain't him neither, it stinks of northern wolves.” He said

“These shards and the one's you have are all that remain of the jewel besides the ones Naraku has, I feel we should give them to lady Kagome” said Miroku

Inuyasha nodded “ I want Kagome back, I'm gonna get her back, and I'll give her the shards” he said taking the shards Miroku was offering him and placing them with the one's from Kouga.

“What about Kikyou?” asked Miroku cautiously.

“I dunno, Kikyou left me again, I smelled her when I was looking for Kagome but I lost her scent near where Sango's is” he said with a shrug

“keh, She's going to hell without me” he said looking down.

“I….I love Kagome anyway” he said as he began to walk with Miroku

“Let's find Kagome then we'll look for Sango, she's with Ayame's men, they wouldn't hurt her, maybe she was injured by something and they're helping her, don't worry we'll get kagome and we'll find her” said Inuyasha

“Like….old times” he added

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Central Lands OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Upon waking up Kagome realized two things; one she could not talk after all and her attempt at it had brought on a coughing fit, and two she was completely and utterly madly in love with Naraku because she forgave his accidental transgression against her instantly as she knew the blow was not meant for her.

After a few hours of Naraku not coming kagome became a bit somber ,she forgave him, she knew of his nature and knew he was used to abusing Kagura, something she hoped he would cease to do from now on.

“Kagome are you still angry with Naraku?” asked Kagura

Kagome shook her head “no”

“NO!” she mouthed as she put her hand over her heart and then pointed at Kagura

“I know you were protecting me…thank you” she said with a smile

Kagome pointed at herself and mouthed “mama”

“I know” said Kagura

Kagome shook her head and Pointed at herself again “NOT Kagome! MAMA” she mouthed as Kagura smirked

“You want me to call you mother?” she asked cautiously

Kagome shook her head “yes” vigorously.

“Ok…mama” she said strangely but it felt right and she smiled

“Do you miss Inuyasha and the others?” asked Kagura as she ate a bit of stew with kagome

Kagome shook her head yes and sighed

“What's wrong?” asked Kagura

“goodbye” she mouthed as she put her hands up like dog ears

“you want to say goodbye to them?” asked Kagura

Kagome shook her head no and made another dog eared sign

“you want to say goodbye to him” she said

Kagome nodded yes then she mouthed “KIKYOU” and “HELL” to Kagura who got the gist of it

“you want to say goodbye to him before Kikyou takes him to hell?” asked Kagura

“Do you love him?” she asked

Kagome nodded yes without hesitating

At that moment Naraku's chest tightened as he watched in the mirror he was about to break it when kagome mouthed a word

“FRIEND” she mouthed as she made the doggie ears again

“he's just your friend?....you love him like a friend” asked Kagura

Kagome nodded yes

“I see….so you don't love him like a lover?” asked Kagura

Kagome grimaced and shook her head “no”

“Got Over It…..” she mouthed with a shrug

“is that why you were gone for so long?” asked Kagura

Kagome shook her head yes and flicked Kagura's head and mouthed “Smart Girl” before running her hand through Kagura's hair in a motherly way

“I can't quite figure out why that brings me so much comfort” Kagura confessed

“MAMA” mouthed kagome as she pointed to herself proudly

Kagome sighed and looked at the table where her lover brought her such pleasure in the morning.

“you miss him?” asked Kagura

“Naraku” she added as Kagome nodded “yes” softly and put her hand over her heart

“you love him?” asked Kagura and Kagome shook her head “yes”

“For Eternity” she said softly in her normal voice when she looked up in shock

“I can talk” she rasped bringing her a light coughing fit as she frowned and Kagura frowned with the exact look Kagome had on her face. Kagome looked into the mirror just to the side of them and noticed

She pointed at the mirror with mirth in her eyes as Kagura looked in the mirror and noticed the similarities in their features

Kagome tapped Kagura's nose then her own before she ran her hand through Kagura's hair and looked at her with the same look her mother gave her. Kagura thought she would melt from all the comfort and love she felt from one look.

Kagome pointed at Kagura's eyes and mouthed “Naraku” with a playful frown. It was true the only thing she got from her father was her eyes and the wavy texture of her hair.

Kagura laughed as did kagome as Naraku watched and couldn't help but smile…really smile , the guilt still racked him as she looked at the mark on kagome's beautiful face

“gods I need you” he ground out as he looked at Kagome's form in the mirror, he quickly told Kanna to go, he prepared himself to visit the west, he'd hoped to get into the castle of his enemy undetected as he knew Sesshomaru was out of the castle at that point with the toad, his mate and the ward.

He found comfort in the fact that Sesshomaru had a mate, he would have less competition for Kagome once word got out of what she was. He would mate her, she was his and no others.

He remembered her touch and feel of her silky lips against his, her sweet scent and the feel of her little body against his, her cold little fingers finding warmth against his chest, the heavenly taste of her nectar.

He hissed out a breath at the thought of coming home to Kagome later that night to gain her forgiveness. His thoughts returned to the palace of the western lord.

All who were home were the staff and guards, with luck he would just slip in undetected and take the scrolls, he had it handled…..or so he thought

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Western Lands OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

“LOOK MAMA!!” roared Rin as she ran up with a handful of flowers and handed them to a beautiful inu demoness

(A/N : don't freak out about this mysterious demoness, she's got history with Rin too, we'll find out later)

“Pretty” said the woman with a smile as she picked Rin up in her arms and rested her on her hip.

“when the baby comes out of your tummy can we still play in the flowers?” asked Rin as the demoness nuzzled her chubby cheek.

“Of course, the pup will love the flowers just as much as you” said the female with a giggle

Sesshomaru looked on at his family and smiled softly. He never thought he would find a female who would accept his adopted human pup, his mate was sent from the heavens for him, of that he was sure.

He snuck up on them and took them in his arm, he cursed the missing left arm but his mate didn't mind and that too made him sure she was meant for him as he had been met with looks of disgust on every demoness he'd approached since the loss of the limb, thought it did not stop the title hungry whores from trying to land him as a mate.

“It is a beautiful night tonight is it not my lord” said the demoness with a smile

“Not as beautiful as you my mate” he whispered in her ear before he kissed her lips softly

The demoness was of the very powerful golden Inu clan, her hair was a golden hue, her eyes were large and blue like the sky, her body was luscious and curvy while lithe and slim at the same time. Her face bore a brilliant translucent sun on her forehead and a deep blood red stripe on each cheek

She was the heiress of the house of the sun, her brother was one of the most powerful tai-yokai in the land, ruler of the northern isles, just above the wolf territories.

The male pup in her womb was the proof that the houses of the sun and the moon had been reunited since their split at the beginning of time, it was an auspicious event and Sesshomaru could not be happier or more excited for the birth of his heir.

A large clawed hand rested on the slightly swollen belly of the female demoness as the lord rested his head against her hair and inhaled the sweet scent of his mate and their pup, with faint traces of their adopted pup interlaced.

“My lord can we sleep under the stars?” asked the cherubesque human pup perched on his mate's hip

“Ask your mother” he said silkily in the female demon's ear, he knew she loved to be referred to as “mother” and it made him happy as well.

“Of course we can angel” said the demoness before planting a kiss on her human pup's cheek and setting her down to run in the flowers

“Papa, will hunt for dinner and I will prepare a fire for you ok” said the demoness as she kissed the top of the child's head before the girl took off into the clearing

“Jaken see that Rin stays near” said Sesshomaru as Jaken bowed and hurried after Rin

The female turned in her mate's arms and stroked his cheek as he looked down into her blue eyes

“I Love you” she whispered as she traced the stripe on one cheek

“And I you” he breathed on her lips before he captured them, he kissed his mate thoroughly and held her flush against him before she broke for air, he nuzzled her face and took in her scent once more

“I will hunt for diner my mate” he said breathily as he traced her pouty lips with a clawed finger

“What does my mate desire?” he asked as he kissed her ear lightly

“hmmmmm, Boar” she said as she licked her lips

The female found a spot perfect for a fire and used her fire whip to start a nice fire for roasting dinner for her pup.

She couldn't wait for her dinner, her mama cooked the best meat and always made sure Rin ate enough.

Sesshomaru butchered the animals and handed his mate two leaves with cubes of meat on them, she took some rosemary skewers she carried with her in her satchel for Rin's meals ad skewered the meat for her pup.

Rin watched as her meat roasted in the fire while her mother and father ate their meat raw.

Rin was not squeamish at all about her parents eating raw meat, she was used to it and knew it was just how they are their food.

She smiled as her mother handed her the leaf with steaming meat cubes on skewers, deer on one side and boar on the other.

“Go ahead and Rin and I will catch up, she will be groggy and I don't want her to wake up crabby in the morning, leave Jaken and Ah Un with me and we will be fine” she said with her radiant smile as the lord groaned at the thought of leaving his beautiful mate and dealing with his brother.

Naraku sat in the study wide eyed with shock at what he was reading in the scrolls of the Miko, there were several spells pertaining to the Miko after her sealing, mostly for healing or combat, many strong purification incantations were included but the ones which called his attention most were the last spells in the book, the spell of sealing and wish spells…….

A Shikon Miko must be sealed by a full demon, if her virgin's blood is taken by a hanyou or a human, her body will be tainted and the jewel will reject her. The female must be entered and pumped full of the seed of her intended mate, he must mark her and she him with the sacred dagger, she must drink of his blood to complete the seal.

If a Miko cannot seal her jewel, the jewel it self may be used for a wish, She must be killed with the sacred dagger, the blood of the Miko harvested after she breathes her last breath must be drizzled over the jewel and the jewel held in the hand of the wisher, the wish made and then granted, the wish must be sealed with the Miko's remains being burned and drizzled into the sea.

Naraku as so distracted he did not hear the commotion Inuyasha was causing outside, he stood up with anger in his eyes.

He could not seal her and if he wanted to be a full demon he would need to kill her…… he was distraught and upset as he wandered the halls in search of a way out.

“My Lord Sess…” began a maid whose scent reeked of lust as she looked at Naraku in the form of Sesshomaru, he turned and Snarled at the woman who yelped.

I CANNOT HAVE!!! ” he roared as he used his claws to tear out the bitch's throat and finished her off with a harsh miasma melting her into a pile of slime and bones.

Several other servants came to see what happened only to meet their ends at the claws of an angry Naraku, he killed several guards and maids, tearing their throats out before melting them into festering piles of slimy flesh and bones before he reached a room with a large balcony.

Sesshomaru was livid as he made his way to the palace of his ancestors.

He cleared the tree line and crashed his energy orb hard into the insipid hanyou half-brother who dared sully his doorstep with his presence.

Both inus were oblivious to the chaos ensuing inside of the palace walls as Naraku killed off the servants and guards who crossed his path.

“How dare you?!?! FILTHY HANYOU!” roared the great lord as he punched his half brother thrusting him hard into the dirt.

“Where's Kagome asshole?” roared Inuyasha as he steadied his sword.

“You stupid whelp, you interrupt me and invade my home to discern the whereabouts of your stupid little weak Miko” he roared as he punched his brother again

“She's with Kagura, you should know where she is….don't' you and Kagura have a thing” he said holding his face

“you assume wrong little brother, I have no interest in such a creature, this Sesshomaru has taken a mate and as custom calls I have waited the proper period for challenges, she is with pup now and This Sesshomaru will announce her in three moon cycles, I have just sent invitations” he said in his usual tone

“A mate? You mean you lord of the western snowflake up his ass has found a female willing to put up with him forever?! HAHAHAHA THIS I GOTTA SEE!!!” he barked with laughter.

A double of Sesshomaru who had no scent flew down from a window, suddenly both the inus growled as the false Sesshomaru took to the skies in a cloud of miasma

Naraku shifted into his normal form and turned, he was ready for a fight, he looked down at the object of his hatred, the hanyou who scarred and maimed the only woman he ever loved.

The filthy dog hanyou whom his beloved still loved, even if she did not love Inuyasha as a lover she still held affection for the filth and that did not sit well with Naraku…..he could not have his mate…..he was hurting and this hanyou would suffer as well.

He smiled and set down in front of the brothers eyes narrowed and expression sinister, ready for a fight.

Rin stirred as she was shifted in her mother's embrace. The demoness walked over to ah un as she loosened her mokomko-sama to leave it with her pup.

Suddenly she smelled something that made her snarl “wolves” she spat as she turned quickly and took out the first two who lunged at her with her deadly poison claws.

“Leave now and you will leave with your lives” she spat as a red headed demoness emerged from the group

“well well, if it isn't Hikarimi Hime, the princess of the sun…. *sniff..sniff * and pregnant with the heir of the house of the moon, how auspicious, and to think I only came for the ward, now I have something much better to lure your one armed mate out of his palace, and your delicious older brother as well” she said with a sinister smile

“I am warning you Ayame, you know well I could kill you where you stand” said the demoness through her teeth.

“hahahahahaha, you know you probably could take all of us out right now, you are a very powerful demoness but I have something even you are not immune to” said the demoness sinisterly

“NOW” she yelled as every wolf who surrounded the princess of the sun threw scent pellets they stole from Sango on the ground in front of her

She covered her face with her sleeve and took out a few more wolves with her claws but being a pregnant Inu and overly sensitive to scent she felt her vision going hazy as she turned back and roared at Jaken

“TAKE RIN AND GO! NOW!!!” she commanded as she released her sun fire whip and began cutting down wolves at will.

“MAMA!!!!!” Roared Rin from Ah Un's back as the demoness cringed and turned to look at her pup.

“I'll be right behind you pup, go ! be good for master Jaken” she said as she turned back.

“Be safe my lady” said Jaken in a worried tone, he cared for the well being of his mistress, she was very kind to him and loved Rin like her own.

“Come Rin we must go find Lord Sesshomaru” said Jaken as he and Rin disappeared into the skies

Hikarimi killed the wolves who tried to go after Rin easily but the fumes form the pellets worked at her slowly, she turned and narrowed her eyes, her fangs began to elongate and her inner bitch was taking over when another wave of scent pellets was released and all was black.

“Pick her up gently, I want that dog in her womb, it will be powerful, I'll either mate it or use it as an heir” said Ayame

“Come we will return to the den, you three find the brat and the toad and kill them, I don't want Sesshomaru to know we have his mate just yet” said the she wolf as she sped away to the den with her captive in tow.

She smirked and thought `well at least he's nice to look at…if nothing else' as she continued to scan the western lands

She landed in a clearing near where Sesshomaru's scent lingered along with a few others.

Kagura's eyes suddenly widened as she caught the scent of something familiar

“Wolves” she breathed, suddenly she felt a sharp pain in the back of her head and then all was dark

“HEY!! Haruki look what I caught!” said an oafish wolf

“The wind bitch?” asked the other wolf as he licked his chops

“Strip her down and lets have a go at her, she has a sweet little pussy” he added

“Wait shouldn't we take her to lady Ayame first? She's supposed to be dead remember” asked the oafish wolf

“Yeah I guess so, maybe she'll forget about us killing that human brat, I can't smell her anywhere” said Haruki

Ayame had entrusted the task of killing off Rin to her two most inept guards, they'd been searching for a scent of Rin for a few minutes and were growing bored at this point.

Kagome roared back “NO!” before she launched herself on top of Naraku , suddenly there was a pink light that enveloped them and Naraku's wounds began to close, his body began to heal and his breathing evened out.

The witch watched in awe as kagome slumped over on top of Naraku and they were both passed out.

The witch chuckled and levitated the two to the futon on the floor , letting out a cackle

“it has begun” she mused

She put his baboons pelt over them as kagome rested on his chest in the crook of his arm as he unconsciously gripped her to him tightly , not to be pried away.

“Remarkable” said the witch as she took the Miko scrolls from the floor where they'd fallen

“I will decipher these and see if we can't figure our little Miko out” she said under her breath

“LET ME GO YOU BASTARDS!!” roared Kagura as she smelled wolf, she fought hard to try and hide the terror she felt.

Memories of the atrocities the northern clan committed against her flooded back to her as she fought back the bile and tears.

There was a shroud over her head and she could hear they entered a structure or cave, the oaf carrying her had been moving his hand steadily up her thigh a she struggled against him

“Well well, if it isn't the bitch incarnation of Naraku” hissed a familiar male voice, it was Takehikomaru, Ayame's younger brother, he'd been the roughest in his assault of Kagura, he was actually the one who took her the fist time, stealing her virginity roughly.

Kagura was grateful that she would not be subjected to the original plan but had to wonder what was so important about her scent and why Ayame had decided she needed her unspoiled, she also felt guilt for the humans who would suffer in her place.

She recalled the day he called her into his chambers and ordered her to wear the jade earrings and never remove them. She liked them so she obeyed but never thought about the reason she was made to wear them.

And now as she sensed they neared their destination she heard voices and wondered who the other “Bitches” were. She only hoped the others were friendly since she was badly injured and not equip to fight.

“Jaken tend to Rin and see that she is ready to depart soon” he said hastily as he went to the armory to ready his armor for the impending journey to locate his mate.

He could sense that Rin was more shaken than harmed, most of the blood on her belonged to wolves, no doubt those who attacked her, killed by his mate, what worried him was that there must have been a large number of them for his mate to have been captured.

His mate was a very powerful bitch with tai-yokai blood like him and she was heavy with his pup, which made her all the more vicious.

Sesshomaru continued to tend to his wounds, the fight with Naraku was a tough one. Naraku was uncharacteristically quiet and seemed a bit angry. He fought hard , almost killing Inuyasha twice, Sesshomaru was certain that if he had not been there to defend his little brother the foolish whelp would be dead.

Though neither would ever admit that they finally worked together to wound Naraku severely, he fled by the skin of his teeth but Sesshomaru was sure he would not survive his wounds.

He looked around at the mess Naraku left behind, he'd killed well over half of the palace staff before he left.

“Whatever you say kid” he said with a shake of the head as Sesshomaru loosened his fire rat kimono and pulled a gauze from ah-un's satchel along with herbs, he wrapped his brother's wounds as the hanyou looked at him with shock.

Inuyasha was too weak to fight him off and knew he needed his wounds tended to.

“This Sesshomaru would not let his prey, no matter how pathetic and weak, die from wounds inflicted by one such as Naraku, I will kill you on my own terms hanyou” said Sesshomaru as Inuyasha's face softened at the thought that maybe his brother did care about him.

“See uncle, my Lord will take good care of us and find mama” said the little girl as she offered the hanyou a canteen with tea

“Let's just hope we can find Kagome too” he muttered taking a sip of tea as Sesshomaru finished patching him up.

“Don't worry Uncle, Lady Kagome is strong she'll be ok” said the little girl

As soon as he was gone she cowered in the corner of the cage-like structure made of rocks and metal bars on all four sides, it was enchanted so as not to be seen or smelled and she could tell the bars were draining her Jaki.

She shivered and covered herself up tightly hugging her knees to her chest. She pulled something out of her sleeve, it was her mother's hair ribbon, one she'd lent her after their bath the previous day, she smelled it and calmed a bit taking in the scent of her mother.

She noticed there were others laying unconscious on the other side of the cage but decided to stay in her corner, she looked up clutching her mother's hair ribbon and noticed there were no stars in the sky, tears fell freely down her face as she shivered, it was very cold in the cage and she held her knees tighter to warm herself.

“ain't no stars in the sky tonight bitch” said the rough voice of the guard outside of the cage as Kagura blinked hard and choked back a sob.
