3 in one day! what is going on! I guess I like this story. I woke up this morning dreaming about Kagome and Sesshomaru maybe I'm a little obsessed lately?
*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*
*Saturday 5:00 AM*
Sesshomaru laid in his bed on his back staring blankly at the ceiling. How could he be so forgetful, his ultimate goal was to know her name! Or at least that's what he thought, his beast had other plans in mind. He growled and rolled over staring at the clock as if daring it to change, the number blinked over to 5:02 spiting him. He narrowed his eyes at the stupid thing and swiped at it, making it clatter to the floor in a very satisfactory manner. Why was this girl so captivating! He would admit for a human she smelled clean, she was so compassionate which he wasn't used to, she was also very emotional another thing he wasn't used to. But something about her made his blood boil for her. He groaned and flopped over onto his stomach closing his eyes and hoping sleep would claim him. He was frustrated. She was frustrating! Couldn't even answer when he'd see her next. He grumbled, would he even go back next Friday? Would she even be there? His mind was full of too many questions and not enough answers!

He managed to doze off for a couple hours before his cell vibrated on the table next to him. He lifted his face from his pillow and snatched up the phone, not even looking at the caller. "Taisho." he spoke into the phone. Someone with an obnoxious voice answered on the other end that he was needed at his firm. He groaned and smashed his face back into the pillow, it was Saturday for fucks sake! Money takes the weekends off! "Why do I need to be there and why are you there." He growled into the phone two hours of trouble sleep! He couldn't get that girls face out of his mind. The voice on the other end of the phone told him something about missing paperwork that he supposedly had. "I'll be right in." he ended the call and growled loudly into his pillow. Was a little sleep too much to ask?

*Monday 7:15 AM*
Kagome batted her hand around her night table for the clock searching for the snooze button for the second time. Groaning she sat up and opened her eyes. With blurry eyes she looked at her nightstand not seeing the noisy clock, she leaned back to see that she had pushed it behind the nightstand. She sighed and swung her legs out of bed, it was the first day at a new job after all might as well get up early. She reached behind the night table and turned off the offending clock. She stretched and made her way to the bathroom, after turning on the shower she stripped down and let out a contented sigh under the hot droplets. This would be by far the best part of today. First days at new jobs were always stressful.  Kagome hopped out of the shower and quickly dried herself off. She left the bathroom wrapped in a fluffy pink towel and opened the drawer to pull out some new soft lavender  scrubs. Smiling at the feel of them she walked back to the bathroom to brush out her hair and put it up into a bun.

Mr. Higurashi greeted his daughter as she emerged from her room, gesturing to the seat across from him beckoning her to join him for breakfast. She smiled, "American breakfast today huh!" There was nothing she loved more than waffles with whipped cream and strawberries. Her father had everything all set out for her, butter, waffles, strawberries, and of course the most important part of the whole thing, whipped cream! "I'm beginning to thing whipped cream is my weakness." She giggled and scooped some of everything onto her plate.

"So what time do you have to be in? Are you excited? What are you going to be doing?" He asked her all at once. His daughter neglected to tell him about anything pertaining to her new job.

Swallowing the bit of waffle in her mouth she began to explain her new job duties, "Well I get to work in the maternity ward finally! I won't get to birth children on my own yet but it's a step in the right direction at least!" She said with a soft smile. "It's my dream ya know. To be an obstetrician. I know I'll have to get some other certifications or go back to school but it's what I really want to do. So of course I'm excited and I have to be there at 9"  She finished the last of her waffles and washed her dish.

"Then you know you need to get going don't you!" He smiled at her, standing up to give his daughter a hug. "I'm really proud of you Kagome, you pulled yourself out of a dark place and now you even have a little pep in your step. I hadn't even seen this when you were with Koga."

"Thank you daddy." She smiled and gave him a kiss on the cheek. As she turned to go out the door she looked back at her father, "I love you Daddy." He smiled and she left for work.

*Friday Night :)*
Kagome was excited, she was at the bar again, half an hour early just to make sure she was there. She had a new outfit on and the way people were looking at her kept stroking her confidence. Her new outfit consisted of a creamy purple corset top that exposed just the right amount of cleavage, not so much that she looked desperate but enough to show she was a woman. She picked out a flirty pink skirt that stopped about 5 inches above the knee. She felt cute and sexy, she couldn't keep a smile off her face.  As she stood up to take her place on the stage with her guitar she saw her silver haired man walk in. She smiled brightly at him and waved.

Sesshomaru immediately locked eyes with his blue eyed princess. His beast purred in delight when she smiled brightly just for him. 'What interests you so much about her?' he growled to his beast but no response. He sighed, his beast still wasn't talking to him. He walked over to the bar and ordered his usual whiskey and walked over to a table slightly to the left of center stage.

"Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you all for coming to see me again." She announced once she looked around and noticed her usual crowd was back. Looking back at Sesshomaru she smiled and began to sing.

I just want to be ok, be ok, be okI just want to be ok todayI just want to be ok, be ok, be okI just want to be ok todayI just want to feel today, feel today, feel todayI just want to feel something todayI just want to feel today, feel today, feel todayI just want to feel something todayOpen me up and you will seeI'm a gallery of broken heartsI'm beyond repair, let me beAnd give me back my broken parts
Sesshomaru quirked his brow at her first song of the night, was she not OK? She seemed fine last week, maybe still a little sad but isn't that OK?  His beast may not have been talking to him but Sesshomaru could tell that he wanted to make this girl feel a lot better than OK.  He watched her sing, she seemed to have some sort of pep to her tonight. He smiled as he listened to her and made a promise to himself that she would always be at least OK around him.
I just want to know today, know today, know todayI just want to know something todayI just want to know today, know today, know todayKnow that maybe I will be okJust give me back my piecesJust give them back to me pleaseJust give me back my piecesAnd let me hold my broken partsI just want to be ok, be ok, be okI just want to be ok todayI just want to be ok, be ok, be okI just want to be ok todayI just want to feel today, feel today, feel todayI just want to feel something todayI just want to know today, know today, know todayKnow that maybe I will be okKnow that maybe I will be okKnow that maybe I will be ok

She sang a couple more songs smiling the whole time. At 9:30 she leaned forward to announce she was cutting it short tonight as she had just started her new job and wanted to be fresh in the morning. Babies didn't stop coming just because the assisting doctor was tired!

Sesshomaru stopped her as she hurried out the front of the bar. She smiled at him brightly and he found himself at a loss for words. "I'll see you next week!" She quickly ran out of the bar. He growled at himself and left the bar himself to see if he could catch her only to see her little Subaru drive off.
"What can I call you..." He whispered to the night air.

Kagome drove home in a cheery mood, her silver haired companion was there to see her again, he seemed to make her night perfect. She realized she was probably being rude rushing off like that but she had to work early in the morning and she would have loved to have been able to stay and talk to him, and learn his name. Her brow furrowed as it occurred to her she didn't know his name. As she pulled up in front of her father's flat she thought it curious that all the lights were on. She left her guitar in the car and rushed up to the front porch. She stuck her key in the knob and turned realizing it was still unlocked. That should have been the first sign something was wrong but it didn't deter her. She pushed open the door and called out to her father. "Daddy I'm home!" Something clanged in the kitchen after she called out, she just assumed she scared her father, maybe he wasn't expecting her for a while. Kagome nearly pranced into the kitchen, "I think I met a boy daddy! He's really attractive, and..." She rounded the corner into the kitchen and noticed she wasn't talking to her father at all. There was a man standing in the middle of the kitchen over her father's body. "Why..."  She looked between the man and her father's lifeless eyes. He was laying face down in a large puddle of his own blood, his head turned to the side frozen with a frightful expression.

The man standing over her father charged past her shoving her onto the floor. She reached out to catch herself but her hands slid out from under her due to the blood on the floor. "Yokai lover!" He yelled back at her.

Kagome nearly felt her heart stop, why was this happening! Things were starting to turn around! She found a new job, her almost dream job even! She met someone, sort of she didn't know his name but she loved being around him! Why was this happening now! Before she completely lost her ability to think properly she picked up her phone to call the police, however before she could call her phone buzzed in her hand. The screen lit up with a picture of her little brother and his name. Clumsily she accepted the call and brought the phone to her ear, "Souta! Daddy's.... Daddy he's..." She couldn't say it. she didn't want to believe it.

"Kagome You have to get over here now. There's police and a lot of blood. I think it's mom! They won't let me through!" Souta screamed at her, not having heard what she said.

"I can't Souta, Daddy's been murdered..." Kagome whispered into the phone. "I can't... He can't...Why is this happening!" She heard Souta drop his phone in shock. "Souta! Don't do this. I need you..." Sobs rocked Kagome's frame. She could hear Souta picking up his phone and start talking to an officer. The tone of his voice was shaky. She had never heard him so forlorn before. Souta shouted at an officer to send some people to her location as well. Kagome heard his phone clatter to the ground again and a gruff voice tell him to go away.

" 'Gome you'll need to call the cops from you're end. They won't listen to me...keep me in the loop ok? I want to know everything." Souta closed his phone so Kagome could call the police from her end.

With shaky fingers she dialed slowly, when the operator picked up she explained her situation with a hollow voice. The operator assured her help would arrive quickly and that she could stay on the line if she liked. Kagome mumbled a no and her arms fell to the side, her phone clattering across the floor when her hands hit her sides. She leaned back against the fridge, completely devoid of emotion and waited for the flashing lights to appear through the window. The door was already open so she wasn't worried about having to let them in.
