He can remember her smile. Soft and delicate, beckoning him to come to Earth. Ever since she was born he has watched her. Ad when she finally blossomed into a beautiful woman, he fell in love. With each passing day, he longed more to be part of that reality-- her reality and live freely. He was tired of living so immaculately and being in eternal bliss. He wanted to feel the rush of taking foolish risks, the terror of danger, and most of all love.

He was finally able to experience it, the day heaven decided to make him her angel. He would devote himself completely, protecting her night and day, until it was her time. But he wouldn't let her go, when heaven said she needed to go. He fought them and begged, trying anything to get them to think again, but alas, he couldn't change their mind. He decided to take matters into his own hands, and spare her life. Only 3 other lives were taken in her place.

Heaven was furious. He deliberately disobeyed them and in effect, destroyed other peoples lives. They still took her life, regardless. She passed and he was banished from heaven. Inuyasha. A name never to be spoken. Kikyo. A name etched in his mind forever. Kikyo, the one who changed him for good. Kikyo, his only love.

Since he was banished, he decide to make his new home the underworld, where the rest of his family was. They didn't accept him, his was still to pure. Being a hanyo and all. So he's been stuck in limbo, his home for over 50 years, because neither realm wanted him. Stuck because of what he was, not good enough for heaven, not bad enough for hell. Until one day, when opportunity decided to visit him....
