Falling For Her

Chapter 3

Three months. Kagome has been in Shikon University for three months. Three months since she met Sango. Three months since she realized she is gay. Three months of meeting new people and confiding in Inuyasha and Kikyo and Jakotsu. Three months of new memories; laughing, crying, studying, falling... Three months since she unknowingly met the person, the woman, that she would fall in love with.

Love. An emotion she has felt before but never in the context she is currently feeling for one specific woman. She loves her mom, her grandpa, her brother, Inuyasha and Kikyo. She loves Jakotsu, Miroku, Ayame and even Koga. But the one person who is always on her mind, in her dreams, in her heart.. Sango. She loves her more than she would have thought possible.

What started as an attraction, to an infatuation, to a crush, to deep feelings, turned into her falling hopelessly and deeply in love.

She hasn't told anybody this. Obviously Inuyasha, Kikyo and Jakotsu know of her feelings for the older woman, but she is unsure if they know how deeply she has truly fallen. After that first dream she had about Sango crawling into bed with her and kissing her.. It filled her mind with thoughts. New and embarrassing but also insanely fun and exciting thoughts. She thought about that dream daily. She had it more than once, and more than once that dream escalated into uncharted territory. She thanks the Gods that she doesn't talk in her sleep or she would truly die of embarrassment.

She hasn't tried to kiss her since that day in the ocean. They got so close. Their wet skin glistening in the sun. Their breasts pressed up against the each other. Their dark eyes shining with desire for the other..

She should have kissed her. She thinks back on that moment more than she would care to admit. Why did she hesitate? Now, it seems like it is too late. She hasn't had a chance like that again since then and now she fears she never will. Her bravado from that millisecond she almost leaned in, completely vanished the second that wave crashed over their heads.

Everyday they grow closer in their friendship. Everyday she falls deeper and deeper with desire for her. Desire to be near her. Desire to touch her. To hold her hand, to kiss her, to feel her writhing beneath her. To love her. Gods how she has never felt this way about anyone before.

Now, it's her birthday and her friends kept asking her what she wants. The only thought that comes to mind when Sango asked was, 'you.' The only thought when anyone else asked was, 'Sango.' She doesn't dare say that outloud though. She smiled and just replied that she doesn't want anything. She wants to just hang out with her friends and relax. They argue that they do that anyway on weekends but she won't take no for an answer.

So currently, it is 2:00pm on a Saturday, her nineteenth birthday, and Sango is leading her to her 'surprise birthday party.' Of course it's not truly a surprise. Kagome guessed pretty much immediately what they were doing, but she rolled her eyes and promised to act surprised anyway.

"Are you going to tell me where we are going, Sango?"

Sango laughed. "You already guessed the party part. I'm not gonna tell you where it is."

Kagome turned to her friend and gave her her best puppy dog face. "Pleeaasseeee.'

Sango shook her head in amusement. "You're impossible."

Kagome crossed her arms and grunted.

"Now you are being a child."

"No I'm not." Kagome continues to pout.

"Are too."

"Am not." She turned back to face Sango with that sparkle of amusement in her eyes.

"Are too." Sango smirked. Kagome is just too adorable for her own good.

Kagome growled in exasperation. "It's my birthday. Shouldn't I at least know what we are doing?"

Sango giggled. "So now you are using the birthday girl card?"

Kagome smiled as if she won the whole argument. "Yes. Yes I am."

Sango laughed. "You're lucky I love you." She shook her head in amusement, not noticing the change in her friends demeanor at her choice of words. "Fine. We are going to Inuyasha's dorm to have a pizza and ice cream party, since you didn't want anything big but we all know how much you like pizza and ice cream."

Kagome barely heard half of what Sango said after the words, I love you, came out of her mouth. She knows what she meant, but.. she couldn't help but wish she meant it in a different way. Her heart broke slightly at the thought of that never happening. Sango still hasn't shown any sign that she is into girls. She never wanted to ask because, that just seems like a weird question to ask out of no where. So now she is in love with her best female friend, with no way of knowing for sure if she could possibly feel the same way.

"Kagome?"

Kagome shook her head of her thoughts and turned back to Sango. "Huh?"

Sango's eyes twinkled in amusement. Gods how Kagome loved looking into Sango's eyes. "Did you hear a word I just said?"

"Uhh.." Kagome blushed and looked away.

Sango started laughing. "Well, I told you where and what we are doing so it's not my fault you didn't hear me. I guess it really will be a surprise because we are almost there."

"Wait. What?" She looks forward to where Sango is pointing. "This is the guys dorm." She looked over at her friend incredulously.

"Yes. You said you wanted to just hang out. So everything is down in the main area. Come on." She grabbed Kagome's hand and led her through the front doors.

As soon as they entered, hand in hand, a crowd of students yelled, "SURPRISE!"

Kagome smiled hugely when the first person to greet her was Inuyasha. She pulled her hand from Sango's not noticing the slight frown on her friends face when she did so, and gave Inuyasha a big hug.

"You know I don't care too much for parties, Inuyasha."

"Keh. It's not just any party. It's a pizza and ice cream party." He smirked when Kagome pulled away quickly and was practically buzzing with excitement.

"Pizza and ice cream!?"

"You are so predictable, 'Gome." He shook his head in amusement.

After her initial greeting with her main group of friends, she continued to go around the party to say hello's and thank you's to all of the guests. After about thirty minutes of mingling and three slices of pizza later, she found herself gorging on a large bowl of ice cream.

"The mutt wasn't kidding when he said you like your ice cream."

Kagome turned to her right and saw bright blue eyes. "Oh. Hi, Koga." She sits down her mostly finished ice cream and focused solely on the ookami.

Throughout the months, they have become good friends, but Kagome can't help but feel a little awkward around him. She did have her first kiss with him and now he claims to be in love with her. He is not even the littlest bit shy about it either.

Koga grabbed Kagome's hands in his and gave her a fanged grin. "What could I give you to make your birthday wishes come true?"

Kagome blushed. "Uh.. I really don't care for presents. I just like being here with everyone." She gave him a shy smile.

He leaned in close and smiled bigger. "Are you sure you wouldn't want to give me a chance, Kagome? It's been a few months now and I can't help but fall more in love with you each day."

Kagome pulled her hands away from his and backed up slightly. "I'm sorry Koga, I like you, but as a friend."

Sango came up and put her arm around Kagome's shoulder in a small protective embrace.

"Koga, didn't Kagome tell you she wasn't interested?"

Kagome couldn't help it. The way Sango wraps her arm around her. Protects her. Shows up at just the right moment. It does things to her. She tried to tamp it down. She knows Inu noses but she doesn't know how strong ookami noses are.

Koga growled lightly and looked back into Kagome's eyes. His nose twitched and his eyes widened. Kagome blanched at his reaction and quickly went to turn and leave with Sango, but as they turned around a tall woman with short black hair was standing there.

"Don't you worry, wolf. There isn't anything wrong with you. It's Higurashi."

Kagome turned back to Koga and noticed his eyes showing a bunch of emotions. Love, confusion, hurt, betrayal, relief. She turned back to the woman and stealed herself for the interaction.

"I don't know what you are talking about, Yura. Well, we gotta go."

Kagome pulled Sango away by the hand but before they were far enough away, they heard Yura shout back, "no wonder you've turned down all these guys. Right, Higurashi?" Her laughter drowned out the beating of her own heart.

No. no no no.

What the hell is she supposed to do, now!?

Back with Koga and Yura. "What the hell, Yura!? Why did you say that? Obviously it wasn't meant to be known."

Yura scoffed, "you're really defending that queer?"

Koga growled and his youki flared slightly in challenge. "I love her. I'll always defend her."

Yura laughed. "You love her? Even after finding out about her abnormal attraction? You could do much better, wolf."

"Shut up! You don't know anything about her or me. Why don't you get the fuck out before I throw you out."

Yura smirked. "You can't make me do anything."

Immediately, they felt a strong and angry flare of youki from a few feet away. They turned to see a very livid, growling hanyou. His eyes tinged red.

"Yura. You were not invited her. Leave."

Yura huffed and turned around. "Whatever. Tell the dyke I said happy birthday." She smirked before storming out.

Inuyasha and Koga both growled in anger. Inuyasha's claws are peircing the skin of his palms and he is trying everything to rein in his anger.

"What the hell just happened, wolf?"

Ignoring the question, Koga asked one of his own. "Kagome's gay?" He knew the answer but he needed confirmation.

Inuyasha growled louder. "That's none of your damn business." He took a deep breath in to calm his nerves. "Keh. I'm going to make sure Kagome is alright." He turned and left without another word.

What the hell is she supposed to do, now!?

Kagome froze in place, not quite sure what to do. Suddenly she felt Sango's arms around her.

"Kagome?"

Kagome immediately pulled away and shook her head. "I uh.. gotta go." She ran in the opposite direction until she found an unlocked Janitor's closet. She opened it and rushed inside, sitting down on an upside-down bucket and putting her face in her hands.

'This is not how I wanted today to go. I don't think I'm ready to come out just yet.'

Tears silently fell down her face as she thought on the last few months. She really can't lose Sango as a friend. She loves her. Even if friendship is all there ever will be, she will take that happily. But now that Sango most certainly knows what Yura meant by that.. Tears fell more feircly as near quiet sobs echoed throughout the small closet.

Suddenly, the closet opened and there was Sango. Sango silently closed the door and turned on the light. She sat down next to Kagome and didn't say anything for a long while. When Kagome finally stopped crying, she wiped her eyes and turned to look at Sango.

"Are you okay, Kagome?"

"I .." She shook her head in the negative as more tears fell. She tried to turn away but Sango reached her hand out to cup her face. She wiped Kagome's tears away with the pad of her thumb and then took a deep breath in and let it out slowly.

"Kagome. Why did what Yura said get to you this much?"

Kagome closed her eyes and cupped Sango's hand with her own. She took a calming breath in before opening her eyes again.

"Only three people know."

Sango gave her a small smile and pushed lightly. "Know what?"

"That I'm.." Kagome pulled Sango's hand away from her face and held her at a distance but didn't let go. She looked away and steadied her uneaven breaths. "There's a reason I never liked Hojo or Inuyasha or Koga. It was never them. It was always me. I.." Kagome let go of Sango's hand to run her own hands through her tussled hair. "Gods, why is this so hard to say out loud?"

"Kagome."

Kagome turned to see the caring eyes of the woman she couldn't help but fall in love with. Her own eyes softened in response.

"Kagome. You don't have to tell me if you aren't comfortable with it. I just want you to know, you can trust me." She grabbed Kagome's hands in her own and squeezed reassuringly.

Kagome swallowed the lump that formed in her throat and stealed herself for what was to come next. "I'm.. not.. completely straight."

Sango gave Kagome a reassuring smile and then pulled her into a hug. "I'm not going to judge you, you know. Can I tell you a sort of secret?" Kagome nodded against Sango's neck. "I'm not completely straight either, Kagome."

Kagome pulled back quickly to look into Sango's eyes for any sign of a lie. All she saw was sincerity. She gulped.

"I.. I've never liked guys at all, Sango. I'm about as straight as Jakotsu."

Sango let out a snort laugh at that. "And there is nothing wrong with that. Did you think I would just stop being your friend if I found out?"

Kagome blushed slightly, "I guess it was kind of stupid of me, huh?"

Sango moved a strand of hair from Kagome's face to behind her ear. Kagome's breath catches slightly at the movement. A memory of Kagome's first dream of Sango all those months ago, flashed in her mind.

Sango climbed in bed next to her, mere inches from her face. Kagome's breath catches when Sango moves a strand of hair from Kagome's face to behind her ear.

"S-Sango?"

Sango puts a finger to her own mouth in a 'sshh' type of gesture before leaning in and catching Kagome's lips with her own.

"S-Sango?"

"You aren't stupid at all, Kagome. I understand your hesitation. I haven't come out fully yet either and I've known I'm bisexual since I was fifteen."

"I.. I guess." Hot. It's so hot in this damn closet. She can't think straight. Sango is so close and smells so fucking good. More memories flood her brain.

Kagome wanted to kiss her. She wanted so badly to feel the softness of Sango's lips pressed against her own. She wanted to taste her and savor her. But she was nervous. What if she is reading the situation wrong? What if there isn't actually anything romantic or sexual between them and this is all just her own crazy fantasy?

Searching Sango's eyes with her own, she made a decision. She wants to kiss her. If not now, then when? Sure they lived in the same dorm room, but they have never had a moment quite like this one. She just hopes that what she plans to do won't make everything weird between them. They do have to live together for the rest of the year.

As soon as she gained the confidence to do what she has been wanting for weeks now, a large - but not as large as before - wave smashed into them. They both quickly closed their eyes and held their breath as they went under. Their bodies were separated, their hands tried to stay connected but were inevitably pulled apart by the current.

Kagome shook her head of the memories and stared longingly into Sango's eyes. Three months. She can't wait another god-damned minute. Kagome moved closer just and inch.

"Sango, I -"

The door to the closet swung open, Inuyasha ran in and crouched in front of Kagome worriedly. Kagome and Sango both turned quickly when Inuyasha appeared.

"Inuyasha?"

Inuyasha pulled Kagome away from Sango and into his arms. Kagome allowed some of her reiki free to calm the raging youki within him.

"Inuyasha, are you okay?"

"Damn, women are so complicated."

Kagome pulled back and glowered at the hanyou. "What the hell is that supposed to mean? What's going on?"

"Are you okay? I heard that Yura bitch talking to the wolf. She said some pretty shitty things, Kagome. Did she say anything to you?"

Kagome shook her head. "I'm fine. Really."

Inuyasha gave her an incredulous look. "Kagome. I can smell your tears. What the fuck happened?"

Kagome let out a puff of air and crossed her arms defiantly. "She outed me to Koga and Sango. But it doesn't matter. I could tell Koga had just figured it out and Sango is my friend so it's really okay."

Inuyasha growled. "I'm gonna kill that hair bitch."

Kagome tentatively scratched Inuyasha's ear. "I'm fine, Inu. Really. Hiding who I am is getting a bit tiring anyway. I think I'm gonna talk to mama tomorrow."

"Are you sure, Kagome?"

Kagome nodded her head in the affirmative and turned to a quiet Sango. "Well? Let's go enjoy the rest of the party." Kagome stood up and took Sango by the hand, coming out of the closet with her. (Pun intended)

Inuyasha smiled as he followed the two women back to the crowd of people.

Three hours later, lots more pizza and ice cream eaten and energy expelled, the guest's made themselves scarce. Now the group of misfits remain; Inuyasha, Kagome, Sango, Miroku, Kikyo, Koga, Ayame and Jakotsu. They all cleaned the place up and then sat down on the comfortable furniture; couches and comfy chairs. On the long couch is Sango on Kagome's right. Miroku on Sango's right. Koga on Kagome's left. Ayame on the other side of Koga. Inuyasha and Kikyo sitting in one of the love seats and Jakotsu is sitting in a single seat.

"Kagome?"

Kagome took a steady breath in, she was waiting for this conversation. She turned to Koga and smiled awkwardly.

"Yes, Koga?"

"Why didn't you tell me? You know how I feel about you."

Ayame growled lightly. "Tell him what?"

Everyone was silent for a moment, not wanting to out their friend. After no one said a thing for a good twenty seconds, Kagome couldn't take it anymore.

"Ugghhh. I didn't tell him that I'm gayer than Jakotsu."

Everyone bursted out laughing at the way she decided to word that. Everyone except for Ayame who just sat there dumbfounded and confused.

"Is that a challenge, Honey? Lord knows I'm as gay as they come." Jakotsu looks straight at Inuyasha. "Come here my handsome doggie and let's show 'em just how gay I can be."

Inuyasha blanched while everyone else laughed so hard, the scent of tears came from each person in the group. Inuyasha growled.

"Hey! It ain't funny! He's serious!"

Kagome snorted. "That's why it's so funny. Why don't you humor him Inuyasha and give him what he really wants?"

"Bitch." Inuyasha snarled. Kikyo affectionately rubbed his back to try and calm him down.

Kagome turned to face Jakotsu. "Just because I'm not as out as you, doesn't mean I'm not gayer than you. You kissed a girl when you were thirteen! Way before I ever kissed anyone."

Jakotsu laughed. "Yes, but have you ever had sex with a girl?" At Kagome's blush he continued, "have you ever even kissed a girl?" Kagome flushed even more crimson. "Honey, I've banged a handful of scrumptious man ass and I am not afraid to flaunt that. Maybe we can have a competition once you have sex with a girl. Oh! You gotta give me all the juicey deets!"

Kagome's face rivaled that of a tomato. "Jak! I am not giving you any deets!" Everyone started laughing again. Kagome looked around at all her friends and momentarily forgot her embarrassment. She finally found her crowd. No matter how odd or crude some of them can be. She is definitely happy here.

Finally, Ayame spoke up. "So.. Koga never had a chance with you?"

Kagome looked over at Koga and gave him an apologetic smile before turning to Ayame, "No. I am definitely not into guys."

Kagome turned and looked at her friends once again. Inuyasha, her best friend was understanding from the start. Her cousin Kikyo didn't bat an eye. Jakotsu was a huge help in her understanding her sexuality. Sango came out to her about being bisexual. Ayame is definitely more than happy since Koga is 100% available. Koga was definitely hurt but he seems overall, okay and understanding. Even Miroku hadn't cared at this little reveal. If she were honest with herself, he seemed a little too excited at the new revelation. 'He probably watches lesbian porn.' She inwardly smirked. All these people really mean a lot to her.

"So, Kagome. What do you want to do for the rest of your birthday?" Sango asked.

Kagome turned to face Sango and smiled. 'You.' "I don't know. Let's play a game." As soon as Kagome had turned to face Sango, Ayame, Koga and Inuyasha all smelled the desire emenating off of Kagome. They didn't dare mention it though.

"I vote for strip poker!" Miroku yelled.

Sango turned to the preverted monk. "Of course you do."

Inuyasha growled. "Did you forget Miroku, that you would also have to see me and Koga strip!?"

Jakotsu's face lit up like a Christmas tree. "I most certainly vote for this game."

Miroku smiled. "I agree. As long as the lovely ladies are involved I can overlook the men."

Jakotsu nodded in agreement. "And as long as these sexy men are included, I am on board. How could I say no to seeing a human, hanyou and demon all naked at once!? This is a dream come true!"

Kagome spoke up. "Uh, yeah. We aren't playing that."

Jakotsu and Miroku pouted silently while the rest of the group tried to come up with something different.

"Truth or dare?" Ayame asked.

Sango responded this time, "we overplayed that. There's not much else we can ask about or dare people."

"We could play would you rather." Kagome said. "We haven't played that one yet."

"I like that. And how about if the person doesn't want to or can't answer the question, they have to take a shot." Miroku stood up and left only to come back moments later with a bunch of shot glasses and vodka.

Jakotsu grinned as he took his shot glass. "Let's make this more interesting. Let's play dirty would you rather. So we ask questions that have something sexual involved. It could be as simple as asking if they would rather kiss their ex or their teacher, or it could be as raunchy as asking if they would rather have a threesome with people that do not appeal to their sexuality or never have sex again."

Everyone looked at him with wide eyes. Inuyasha spoke first.

"Is there anything that you don't make into a sexual game?"

"Sex it love, honey. I like to keep things interesting." He winked at Inuyasha, making the hanyou scowl.

Kagome sighed. "Alright. I think that sounds kinda fun. You all know my sexuality now anyway so.." She looked over at Sango and forgot that not everyone knows hers. "Uh.."

Sango put a hand to Kagome's shoulder. "It's alright Kagome. It's not a big deal." She turned to the group and smiled. "I guess you will all know eventually since we have all gotten so close. I'm bisexual."

Jakotsu squealed. "I knew it! Didn't I tell you all that my gay-dar was flawless!? So, are you and Kagome dating?"

Kagome and Sango both blushed and their heads snapped to Jakotsu's grinning face. "NO!" They shouted in unison.

Jakosu laughed, "calm down girlies. I'm only messing with you. You two would make a lovely couple though."

Sango and Kagome both blushed and looked away from each other. Kagome is fuming. She knows exactly what her so called friend is doing and it is not funny! Just because Sango is bisexual, it doesn't mean she will automatically want to be with her!

Kagome quickly changed the subject. "Okay. So are we all in agreement then? Drinking dirty would you rather?" Everyone nodded their heads in agreement. "Okay, let's do it this way. I'll be right back." Kagome left and came back a minute later with an empty glass soda bottle from the party. "We'll all sit in a circle and spin the bottle one at a time, whoever it lands on answers the would you rather question and if they don't want to answer, they take a shot."

Everyone easily agreed and they all sat on the floor in the center of the room, in the same order they were on the furniture. Miroku, Sango, Kagome, Koga, Ayame, Jakotsu, Inuyasha and Kikyo, back to Miroku.

"Alright, 'Gome. You go first since it's your birthday and you came up with the game."

"Uh, okay." She really didn't want to have to come up with something dirty before listening to others first. She tentatively spun the bottle and it landed on Inuyasha. She laughed and put a finger to her chin to show she is thinking. "Would you rather... have your roommate catch you masterbating or having sex?"

Miroku burts out laughing while Inuyasha growls. Before Inuyasha could say anything, Miroku spoke up. "Coming from his roommate. He has been caught in both acts."

"Damn it, Miroku! Sex. That is the stupid answer to your stupid question." Kikyo was now hiding her face in her hands, Inuyasha is growling lightly and everyone else is trying not to laugh.

"Why sex?" Kagome amusingly asked.

"Enough questions. My turn." Inuyasha spun the bottle and it landed on Miroku. "Would you rather see a naked photo of the person to your left or to your right? Answer carefully, monk."

Miroku looked to his right and saw Kikyo and then to his left and saw Sango. He smirked and put his arm around Sango. "Why this is easy. I would rather enjoy and savor a nude picture of my dear Sango."

Sango rolled her eyes and pushed his arm off of her shoulder. "In your dreams, Miroku."

"Every night, Sango."

The demons easily smelled the jealousy in Kagome as she spoke up through gritted teeth. "Okay. Spin, Miroku."

Miroku spun the bottle and it landed on Jakotsu. "Hmmm.. Would you rather be single for the rest of your life or have to be with the person you had your first kiss with forever?"

Kagome laughed, knowing his first kiss was with his female friend when he was thirteen.

Jakotsu answered quickly, "as long as I can have one night stands for the rest of my life, I will live in solitude."

Jakotsu quickly spun and it landed on Kagome. She immediately paled at his evil smirk. "Kagome." She does not like his sing-song voice. "Would you rather walk on literal eggshells or have to text your crush that you love them right now."

"Eggshells!" At her immediate response, she blushed bright crimson. "Uh.. moving on." Jakotsu snickered as she glared at him before spinning the bottle and having it land on Sango. "Okay, uh.. would you rather.. make the first move on someone you like or receive the first move from that person." Kagome could not keep the blush off her face. She knows she is being obvious to the people who know her secret but damn it if this game doesn't at least give her some insight!

Sango had to think for a moment. "Hmmm. I guess it depends." She looks into Kagome's eyes as if no one else is there listening. "If it is a guy, I prefer to make the first move." She glares at Miroku before looking back at Kagome. "If it's a woman, I would prefer her to make the first move."

Kagome gulps as she slowly hands the bottle to Sango. Their hands brush against each other and they both look away quickly. Sango immediately spins the bottle, ignoring the tingle from Kagome's touch. Kagome holds a hand to her racing heart and ignores the way her friends are openly staring at her. The bottle lands on Kikyo.

"Would you rather have morning sex or late night sex?"

Kikyo blushed but responded quietly. "Late night. I am not much of a morning person." She takes the bottle and spins it. It lands on Ayame. "Would you rather.. give up kissing or give up sex."

"Easy. Kissing."

Koga scoffed. "How would you even know? You smell untouched."

Ayame glared at him. "Maybe I've been waiting for a certain wolf to touch me."

Kagome interrupted before it could get out of hand. "Okay! Ayame, your turn."

Ayame grumbled as she spun and it landed on Jakotsu. "Would you rather.. lick someone at this party or your ex?"

Jakotsu immediately made eye contact with Inuyasha and licked his lips. "I would much rather lick someone at this party." He gave the hanyou a wink. Inuyasha growled and rolled his eyes. Everyone laughed. Jakotsu spun the bottle and it landed on Kagome. Kagome groaned and silently asked what the hell did she do for the Gods to torture her like this. "Okay, Kagome. Would you rather tie someone up or be tied up in the bedroom?"

Kagome is now worried about being permanently red from embarrassment. Not only from the question but now that those thoughts are in her head, no doubt the canines can smell her arousal.

"Uh.. I think I'm gonna take a shot instead of answering that question." She reaches for the bottle but Jakotsu snatches it up. "Hey!"

"Come on Kags. No one else has had to take a shot."

"That's because no one else has to answer such ridiculous questions!"

Miroku snickered, "I would rather be tied up."

Kagome blushed even more. "I Don't think we needed to hear that, Miroku."

Miroku shrugged his shoulders, "Just showing you it's not too hard to answer." He smiled at her reassuringly.

Ayame spoke up next, "I'd rather tie the person up." She grinned at Koga who actually blushed.

Kagome covered her face in her hands. "Okay okay. I'd rather.." She mumbles the last part and no one, not even the demons could hear her.

"What was that?" Jakotsu asked.

Kagome lifted her face back and glared at him. She answers through clenched teeth. "I said. I would prefer to be tied up. Happy?" Could her body be any hotter from this conversation? Sango's body pressed up next to her is definitely not helping. "You know, I'm getting tired. I think I'm gonna go to bed."

Sango stood up with Kagome, "I'll come with you."

They said their goodbyes and thanks for coming before heading back to the dorm. On their way back, they thought quietly about the evening. They now knew something big about each other.

Kagome stops Sango by the arm in front of the campus fountain. "Sango."

Sango turns and steps closer to Kagome. "What is it?"

Kagome closed the gap between them so they are standing only a few inches apart. Their hair is slightly blowing in the evening wind. Their eyes are sparkling in the moonlight. They stare into each others chocolate gaze for a moment without saying a thing. Two times, Kagome has almost kissed her. Two times, she was interrupted. Now that she knows Sango is bisexual and wants the woman to make the first move, she won't hesitate.

"Sango, I.." 'Fuck it.'

Kagome reaches forward and pulls Sango to her by the back of the neck, their lips connecting for the first time. Sango gasped but no more than a second and a half passed by before she wrapped her arms around Kagome's waist and moved her lips along with hers.

Kagome was in heaven. She had to have died in that ocean. It's the only explanation for these feelings right now. She died and went to heaven. Sango's lips are just so warm and moist and soft. Kagome puts both if her hands to Sango's cheeks to pull her in even closer. She can taste Sango's cherry chapstick. The taste of her is amazing and she wants more. She lightly, hesitantly, licks Sango's lower lip. Sango moaned lightly and returned the favor with her own tongue causing Kagome to gasp. Sango used that brief moment to plunge her tongue into Kagome's mouth. Kagome immediately tangled her tongue with Sango's and they both moaned into the kiss.

After a few minutes of the most amazing kiss that either of them could have imagined having, they had to break away for air. Kagome rested her forehead against Sango's and they both smiled.

"Sango I..I.."

"I love you, Kagome." Sango couldn't wait another second to tell Kagome the truth.

Kagome pulled back slightly to look deep into Sango's love filled gaze. "I love you too."

Sango pulled Kagome closer to connect their lips for another wonderful kiss. This one was much more heated then the last. Their tongues met almost expertly and they moaned together as the kiss became more fervent. They were so wrapped up in each other that they didn't even notice the footsteps getting closer and closer.

"Didn't you say you were tired, 'Gome?"

They broke away from the kiss to turn and see a smirking Inuyasha, blushing Kikyo and a dancing Jakotsu.

Kagome and Sango both blushed. Kagome spoke first. "I.. uh.." She looked back at Sango, who looked back at her. They both smiled and reached over to hold hands. "I was just going to bed. Goodnight guys."

They turned to leave and as they were walking away, they heard Inuyasha chuckling and Jakotsu yelled out, "sleep well love-birds!" Then they heard him singing but it got quieter the farther they walked away. "Kagome and Sango sitting in a tree..."

Kagome and Sango started to giggle uncontrollably as they made it inside their dorm room. Kagome sat down on her bed and Sango sat down next to her.

"So.."

"So." Sango replied. She turned Kagome's face by the chin to look at her. She leaned in and lightly brushed their lips together. As she more forcefully started to kiss her, Kagome backed up.

"Wait. What uh.. are we, exactly?" Kagome asked shyly.

Sango smiled. "I was hoping you'd be my girlfriend."

Kagome blushed adorably. "O-okay." She smiles before leaning in closer, "Best birthday present ever."

Sango sealed that deal with yet another kiss.
