Victoria sat alone in her room, her mind was reeling from Sesshoumaru’s actions. She played with his name over and over again. No one ever said anything about her lisp. Let alone liked it. Victoria cursed herself and her feelings. What would happen if she was to tell him, she cared for him. There was a gentle rap on the door and Sesshoumaru entered.

“Wow, you knocked first. Uh-oh, who died.” Victoria joked.

Sesshoumaru didn’t seem to get the joke as he narrowed his eyes and towered before Victoria. “Woman, you did not come to training.”

“I know.” Victoria responded softly.

“Why?”

Victoria stood and smiled brightly at Sesshoumaru. “Aw, did you miss me, sensei?”

“Don’t be foolish, woman.”

Victoria’s smile faded and she took a deep breath. “Sesshoumaru, I didn’t come because I didn’t want to face you.”

“Explain.”

“You aren’t a big talker, and you never smile. I hear that you’ve ruthlessly killed thousands of humans and youkai. I should fear you, but I don’t.” Victoria felt her tears come forward, she was afraid of the eminent rejection she was likely to face. “Sesshoumaru, can I ask you something?”

Sesshoumaru nodded sharply, his face stern.

“Why haven’t you ever, you know, found a mate.” Victoria tried to hold back her tears, but failed miserably. “Why haven’t you had children of your own?” Victoria wiped away her tears and smiled back at Sesshoumaru once again. “No, I’m sorry. It isn’t my place to ask, forgive me.” Sesshoumaru chuckled lightly, Victoria frowned. “What’s so funny.”

“You will be dressed for dinner by seven o’clock. Understand.” Sesshoumaru turned to leave without waiting for a response.

Victoria stood in silent shock as she watched Sesshoumaru leave her to her thoughts. Did he just say that they were going out. She could hardly suppress her jump for joy. Oh what the hell, she preceded in jumping and squealing on her bed, like a kid on Christmas morning. But there was enough time for that, right now she had to find something to wear.

Breakfast was a quiet occasion in the castle. Inuyasha and Kagome looked in each other’s direction on more than one occasion smiling and staring in each other’s eyes. Miroku and Sango noticed the change in their friend’s disposition and were very curious. Sesshoumaru never looked at any of his guests and Rin only smiled while trying to find a way to break the tension in the room.

Finally Rin cleared her throat and looked at Victoria. “So Victoria-san, from what country do you hail from?” Victoria looked up and smiled, she always wanted to know her family from the old country. And now she was face to face with her dear Grandmother.

Victoria wanted her to know everything and know how wonderful her children were. But decided that it wouldn’t be such a good idea since Rin and her grandfather had only just met.

“I come from a country far away and across a great ocean.” Victoria smiled, feeling quite melancholy.

Rin smiled and look at Victoria thoughtfully. “You remind me of someone, but I cannot place my finger on it.” Victoria smiled and shifted nervously in her seat. She was feeling nauseous from her pregnancy and clutched her stomach. Sesshoumaru raised his brow and reached for his new mate. Victoria looked up and smiled.

“So sullen and so sweet.” Victoria said softly. Sesshoumaru jerked his hand back and sat up in his chair. Victoria almost laughed if it wasn’t for the nausea. Quickly she excused herself nearly barreling into a servant who came to inform Rin of Ken’ichi appearance. Rin excused herself and bounded out the door to her suitor. Sesshoumaru contained his hidden smile for his young daughter.

Kagome got up to follow her cousin, but Inuyasha latched on to her arm. He couldn’t stand one waking minute without Kagome. Kagome gave him a reassuring smile and gently kissed his lips, must to the surprise of their friends. Inuyasha reluctantly let her go to follow Victoria. Everyone was silent until Kagome left the room.

“Um, what was that all about Inuyasha?” Miroku smiled slyly.

“Humph, don’t be perverted monk. It’s not like that!” Inuyasha turned his nose up to his friends.

“Do not wait until it is too late to take the miko as your mate.” Sesshoumaru said and left the table without another word.

Inuyasha flattened his ears and looked away without a response.

Sango rested her head on her palms and looked at the hanyou sitting across from her. “Inuyasha, you told Kagome how you really felt?” She asked.

“Keh, of course.”

“But you haven’t bound yourselves to one another?” Miroku questioned.

“Not like that’s any of your business but no.” Inuyasha frowned.

“Are you respecting Kikyou. While she’s still alive you feel like you are bound to her, don’t you.” Sango said.

Inuyasha winced at the remark that was right on the mark. He stood with his ears still flattened to his head. “Just stay out of it,” he said sounding more hurt than his friends have ever heard. With that last statement he left the room.

Shippou watched as Inuyasha left the room. “Kikyou tried to kill him, why does he still feel bound to her.”

“He made her a promise, Shippou.” Sango answered.

“Although Inuyasha loves Kagome, he still feels as if he must save Lady Kikyou also.” Miroku finished for the slayer.

“Hmm, I’ll never understand love.” Shippou murmured.

Miroku reached over to ruffle the kit’s hair and laughed. “You will someday.” He smiled.

Shippou laughed and left the table finally leaving Miroku with Sango and Kirara. “Love can be difficult indeed.” Sango smiled.

“Don’t worry Sango, it will be over soon. Naraku will be defeated and we can tell everyone the good news.” Miroku placed his hand over the slayer’s womb gently. Sango smiled and placed her hand over his.

“It will be a boy, I just know it.” Sango said softly as she kissed the father of her unborn child.

Kirara mewed happily for her growing family.

The restaurant was beautiful and looked very expensive. Victoria stood at the entrance with her long backless white gown. It was lovely and Sesshoumaru was speechless when he saw her walk down the stairs. His eyes dance across her body stopping every few moments at the low neckline. She giggled at his awe struck expression, bringing him up from his reverie. Without a word he presented her with a necklace box. He opened it revealing a beautiful triple moon necklace with a ruby in the middle. Victoria didn’t know what to say, she settled with giving him a small kiss on his moist, delicious lips. Sesshoumaru didn’t know how to react, it was only a necklace. He tried to convince himself that it didn’t mean anything to him. But that would be a lie, if it didn’t mean anything, he wouldn’t have kept it safe over the centuries. And he wouldn’t have given it to the stunning creature standing before him if it meant nothing.

Could this be the thing he was searching for. This woman, who stands so proud, and fights with all her strength. This woman who trusts him, and touches him so gently. She crawled her way into his heart and set up camp. And it doesn’t appear that her fire will be going out anytime soon. And although in many ways she reminded him of his dear Rin, the strong attraction between them was undeniable and seeing Victoria as a daughter was simply out of the question.

Victoria played with the charm between her fingers as they sat the table waiting for their entrees to arrive.

“The necklace is beautiful, Sesshoumaru.” Victoria smiled a brilliant smile and Sesshoumaru almost forgot how to breath. Her eyes were full of this kind of innocence and beauty and Sesshoumaru could only stare at them and wonder how he could be so lucky to have such a creature look at him with such admiration.

“Your grandmother used to look at me like that.” Sesshoumaru said suddenly.

“She did?” Victoria smiled brighter.

“But somehow, it’s different with you.” Sesshoumaru confessed.

Victoria looked down on her necklace. “I wish I would have thought to give you something.”

“You already gave me a gift.” Sesshoumaru said, feeling a little embarrassed for thinking that the kiss was a wonderful gift.

Victoria knew exactly what he was talking about. “But it was such a small kiss, and you barely returned it.” That was true, Victoria’s parent’s were standing right there, and Ryuu didn’t seemed to pleased with his daughter going out with the perfect killer. But he didn’t argue and gave his daughter the best wishes for the night.

“If given the opportunity, we wouldn’t have made it even to the car.” Sesshoumaru said with a low, hungry tone. Victoria blushed at the comment and looked away.

“You would take me, Sesshoumaru.” Victoria asked softly, barley meeting his gaze. “Me, who is more human than demon.” For some reason, her body felt hot and she brought her fingers to her pink crescent moon. It almost burned her fingers.

“You know as well as I, what that means. Your demon blood is reacting to me. We may very well be destined mates.” Sesshoumaru said. He had felt it, every time they touched, or even looked each other in the eyes, he felt the urge to take her as his. But he suppressed it. Things worked differently now, and simply taking the female of your choice back to your den was frowned upon. And besides, he cared for the girl and she deserved someone who would respect her and love and protect her.

“Is that the only reason. Because our youkai are destined.” Sesshoumaru looked up suddenly at the woman across from him. She looked sad and far away.

Sesshoumaru reached over and pulled Victoria’s fingers from the necklace. “I control my youkai, it doesn’t control this Sesshoumaru. Even if my youkai didn’t choose you, I would.”
Victoria didn’t know what to say. She would never have imagined Sesshoumaru speaking those words, and with such adoration in his voice. “You would take me as I am?”

“Would you have me, as I am?” Sesshoumaru gave her a secret smile, and Victoria knew it was there.

“I would.” She said softly.

This time he smiled, he smiled for the whole world to see.

Victoria sat alone in Sesshoumaru’s garden, her nausea had passed and Kagome had left to find Inuyasha. She found that it was easy to love the miko, although Victoria had lied to her, Kagome had still accepted and cared for her like they been close for years. Over the past two days everyone has become comfortable in the castle. Although Victoria had yet to really speak with Miroku and Sango, she felt sad for their story. Naraku’s curse is still alive and Miroku’s line still battles the dreaded hanyou. She was good friends with one of Miroku’s and Sango descendants. And now there is only one left. Victoria still has hopes for the family line to finally be at peace.
Victoria sighed and smiled softly as she placed a gentle hand on her womb. It was firm and beginning to show. She knew because of her and Sesshoumaru’s inu blood, it would be a quick pregnancy. Victoria twitched her ears at the sound of silent footsteps.

“You can hear me coming, even with weak human ears?” Sesshoumaru said as he sat against a tree next to Victoria.

“They aren’t so weak, Sesshoumaru.” Victoria said defiantly. “My Grandfather’s blood was once dormant within me. But something that powerful can’t be contained forever.”

“You come from another time, that will be valuable in the future of our kingdom.” Sesshoumaru stated.

Our kingdom?” Victoria said quietly. “You accept me as your mate?”

“It would seem that I have at one point in time. I cannot ignore the mating mark, now that you are here the youkai blood within me is calling for you.” Sesshoumaru clenched his jaw, every since he smelled her scent, he craved her. He didn’t like the feeling of not being in control.

Victoria took a deep breath and reached over to lay her hand on Sesshoumaru’s. He didn’t react at first and she began to pull away. At that moment he took her hand and brought it to his lips. The kiss he laid on her knuckles nearly took her breath away. Victoria shifted and pulled away only to lay her lips upon his. Sesshoumaru quickly fell into her. He parted her lips with his tongue and found hers, Victoria wrapped her arms around her mate’s neck as Sesshoumaru entwined his hand into her raven locks. Victoria took this an invitation to go further. She moved and straddled his lap without breaking the kiss, she didn’t care that they were out in broad daylight. She needed him, she been miserable without his touch. Sesshoumaru didn’t seem to mind the open either as she slipped his hand into her yukata and slid it off her shoulders. Victoria made a small noise in the back of her throat as Sesshoumaru grazed her hardened nipple with a deadly claw. How she loved those claws.

Victoria moved against Sesshoumaru’s hard member causing Sesshoumaru to moan into her mouth. Victoria finally broke their kiss and looked into Sesshoumaru’s soft eyes. Sesshoumaru’s almost gasped as he felt emotions he didn’t think he could ever feel, he never wanted anyone more than he wanted her. He did gasp once she laid a gentle kiss on his crescent moon. Victoria slid her hands under Sesshoumaru kimono as he kissed her again. The kimono slid easily off his armless shoulder and Victoria smiled sadly as she kissed his shoulder. Sesshoumaru closed his eyes as he felt the tingling of his growing arm, he bothered him every once and awhile but it was only a sign that it was growing just fine.

Sesshoumaru bucked his hips against Victoria as she laid steaming hot kisses across his chest, they both growled as she fumbled with his hakama beneath her. She finally got her prize as Sesshoumaru was exposed in all his glory. Victoria backed up and took him in her mouth she inwardly smiled as he snarled and tangled his hand into her hair and bucked into her mouth. She remembered the first she took him in her mouth, he had never had that done to him because youkai aren’t to familiar on oral sex. He had enjoyed returning the favor or doing it at the same time. Victoria didn’t expect the favor returned this time, so she was just enjoying having him. She wasn’t surprised when Sesshoumaru pushed her back. He held her shoulder tightly as he caught his breath. Before she knew it Victoria was on her hands and knees with Sesshoumaru behind her. Sesshoumaru leaned over as he massaged her breast gently, Victoria leaned back eagerly as she felt Sesshoumaru’s shaft pressing against her folds.

Sesshoumaru groaned as Victoria squirmed beneath him. He couldn’t get in to the promised land with her moving so much. He reluctantly pulled his hand away and brushed the hair from her neck. There he saw the mating mark his future self gave to her. Upon seeing the mark he lost control, with blood red eyes he bit down on his mate and plunged into her opening with no mercy. Victoria cried out and dug her elongated claws into the grass. Sesshoumaru could taste the coppery taste of blood as he continued to thrust into her, her blood was getting hotter as he sensed her demonic aura growing stronger. He went deeper into her as she screamed for more. He held her tighter as he came close to climax, but she surprised him by snatching herself from him. He didn’t let go of her neck as he tried to regain entrance, he bit down harder trying to get her to submit to him but she whispered softly to him.

“Please, I’m not running. This female wants to please her mate.” Victoria’s voice was dark and seductive. Sesshoumaru growled and released the unruly female’s neck. Victoria turned and smiled with purple eyes and sharp fangs. Sesshoumaru’s eyes widened as she pushed against him until he was on his back and she was on top of him. Sesshoumaru closed his eyes with undeniable pleasure as she lowered herself on him, she was in control now and he found that he didn’t mind at all. Her movements, her pace and the beautiful sounds that escaped her were perfect. He opened his eyes and focused on his mate, her eyes were fixated on him and her hair was swaying in the gentle breeze. The entire world dropped away and time had stopped only for them. She had brought him out of the dark void and he smiled. It was a smile of pure unadulterated happiness. He never thought that kind of happiness existed for a beast such as him. As Sesshoumaru spilled his demonic seed into her he shot up and slammed his lips into hers. Finally he fell back completely satisfied with his mate falling almost immediately asleep on top of him. He chuckled as he stroked her hair, he reached into the pocket of his sleeve on the ground and pulled out his mother’s necklace. Carefully he slipped it around his mate’s neck and followed her in blissful sleep.

Kagura had watched from the trees, she had found herself frequenting Sesshoumaru’s lands more often, when she was supposed to be looking for Kikyou she was really spying on Sesshoumaru. And although this time it was a direct order from Naraku to go to the castle and spy on Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru she wish she hadn’t. She felt something strange on her cheek and reached up to touch it. It was wet and it came from her burning eyes. When did she start crying?

Kagura watched Sesshoumaru’s sleeping face and smiled.

“Happiness, it must be wonderful.” Kagura said softly as she plucked a feather from her dark hair and flew away.

Naraku watched Kikyou sleep peacefully, he was pleased with how easily she took to evil. She seemed happier, he suspected that she always had darkness within her, she just suppressed it for the good of her people. Naraku tenderly stroked a raven tendril from her creamy face and smiled evilly.

“I win.” He said, as he fell asleep besides his mate.

Kikyou woke with a start, she was sick and ran to a bush to vomit. It’s been over a month and she suspected that the hanyou had impregnated her. She wanted to be happy, but she was more fearful than that. Inuyasha could kill her and her baby. So she had to kill him first.

“Kikyou, my love. You are ill.” Naraku said from behind the dark miko.

“I am not ill, Naraku. I am with child.” Kikyou turned and wrapped her arms around her mate. Naraku returned the hug and smiled.

“I am pleased, I have an heir. He will be powerful indeed.” Naraku whispered. “Come, rest now. We will need our strength in defeating Inuyasha and his friends. It would seem that they have a new demon on their side, Sesshoumaru’s mate I’m told. We do not need another threat, especially from Sesshoumaru.”

Kikyou looked up with a smile. “Inuyasha’s brother has a mate, and undoubtably Inuyasha has taken my reincarnation as a mate now that he cannot have me. This could prove useful.” Naraku smiled at his mate’s cunningness.

“I understand.” Naraku smirked.

Kagome was getting frustrated, it’s been a little more than a month since Inuyasha expressed his feelings but they had yet to take her completely. And just making out wasn’t doing it for her anymore. She was nineteen for goodness sake! She always wanted Inuyasha to be the one that she made love to for the first time, but they were still at the castle and he was still moping around. Sesshoumaru seemed comfortable with his new house guests and he and Inuyasha haven’t fought since they arrived there. Inuyasha was even getting involved with castle affairs and the servants recognized him as the son of the Inu no Tashio and younger lord of the castle. Kagome thought he would be happier but he seemed to avoid the topic of them being a couple.

Kagome had always thought she and Inuyasha would get together before Miroku and Sango. But the way the slayer and monk have been acting lately she would be wrong. Just that morning she saw Miroku and Sango standing in one of the halls admiring the decor, then out of the blue Miroku fondled her bottom and she didn’t slap him. Sango just giggled and pressed herself closer to him. Whenever Kagome would ask what was going on, Sango blushed and said that nothing was going on. They were engaged to be married, and she was happy about it. That’s all there was to it.

Kagome wished she could feel the same way. Her life was in danger and all she wanted was a little love from a certain hanyou.

“You shouldn’t wait for him to go to you, Kagome.” Victoria told her as she played with Shippou’s hair. Shippou found himself drawn to Victoria and her Motherly ways and would always be found with his head on her now large stomach. Her cheerful and strong nature reminded him of his own Mother just like Kagome. But the miko seemed wrapped in her own thing and she wasn’t youkai. So Shippou latched on to Victoria during the day and Kagome at night. He wasn’t allowed in Sesshoumaru’s bed chambers with Victoria anyway.

“Yeah, Kagome.” Shippou agreed as he sat patiently waiting for Victoria to finish brushing his hair. Kagome couldn’t help but feel a little jealous. Shippou never sat still long enough for her to play with his hair. He always said that he was wild and didn’t need a girl to style his hair.

“I don’t know what to say to him.” Kagome confessed. “What if he regrets his decision, you know to be with me instead of trying to get Kikyou back.”

“I don’t think he does, Kagome. But as long as Kikyou is still alive he still must feel bound to her alone, no matter his feelings for you. Inuyasha may be brash at times be he is very honorable.” Victoria said.

“I know that.” Kagome didn’t mean to snap and Victoria knew it.

“Just tell him what you want, I’m sure he’ll give it to you. He doesn’t want to live with regret. You need to let him know that you understand his feelings. Trust me, he wants you, he just needs to know that it’s alright to want you.” Victoria continued.

Kagome stood and began to leave the room. “I guess I should thank you.”

“You don’t have to thank me, Kagome. I’m only the narrator.” Victoria smiled.

Kagome laughed, then suddenly she turned, a trail of tears following in her wake. Victoria allowed her cousin to wrap her arms around her tightly. Shippou was crushed between the two women but stayed silent as he heard Kagome cry into Victoria’s hair.

“Thank you, for everything.” Kagome wept.

“Thank you, Kagome. For loving my Uncle Yasha and for loving me.” Victoria smiled as a tear fell from her eyes.

Shippou was relieved that he could breathe when Kagome finally let go and left the room. “One day, she’ll leave and never come back. Then I’ll be alone again.” Shippou sighed.

Victoria hugged him close. “I don’t think Kagome would ever leave you, but if anything ever happened I’ll be there for you.” Shippou face lit up at Victoria’s words and hugged her close.

Inuyasha sat across from Sesshoumaru in his study. Inuyasha had barely made eye contact with his brother after he repeated what Victoria had told him five hundred years in the future.

“Why would I ask you for forgiveness?” Sesshoumaru asked.

“I don’t know alright!” Inuyasha quipped. “All I know is that you asked for it. Maybe you can tell me why, why do you hate your own flesh and blood!” Inuyasha slammed his fist into the ground. “It’s not fair! You live in this castle with your servants and soldiers. While my Mother and I were exiled, you could have stopped it you bastard!”

“Enough!” Sesshoumaru snarled. “I need not explain myself to the likes of a worthless half breed. Especially one responsible for my Father’s death.”

“What! I didn’t even know the old man!” Inuyasha growled. “My Mother said he was powerful, how could an infant kill him!”

“He went to save the life of you and your Mother, even when injured he sacrificed himself and his lands for filth.” Sesshoumaru looked down on his Brother with distaste.

Inuyasha flattened his ears and was silent for a brief moment. “You are stronger than me.” Inuyasha said in a whisper.

Sesshoumaru had heard him perfectly, but he remained silent.

“You could have killed me...many times. When Sou’unga attacked me, you pushed me out of the way. When I lost control of my youkai blood, you didn’t kill me. You saved me. And when I was a child, alone, you were there protecting me. I could smell you around me, I knew you there.” Inuyasha looked up at his older brother.

“What is your point, half breed.” Sesshoumaru softened his features.

“You wanted to know what it was like, didn’t you?” Inuyasha said. “You wanted to know what it was like to feel, like our Father did. You envied me for that. You don’t need tessaiga, you never wanted shikon shards. And you never wanted me dead. I forgive you brother.” Before Inuyasha could take another breath, Sesshoumaru was upon him, his claws were around Inuyasha’s throat and holding him in the air.

“What makes you think I need your forgiveness!” Sesshoumaru snarled angrily. Inuyasha didn’t fight he only looked down on his brother with soft eyes. Sesshoumaru closed his eyes and turned away. He dropped his brother and tossed him a scroll.

“Can you read?” Sesshoumaru asked.

“Yeah, why? What is this?” Inuyasha asked as he opened the scroll. Inuyasha eyes widen as he read the faded parchment.

“It is a declaration, made by our Father before he died. Our Father not only ruled the western lands, he ruled all of Japan. And if he were to die he would leave the western lands to his eldest and the eastern lands to his youngest.” Sesshoumaru explained. “You are the Lord of the Eastern Lands, Inuyasha.” Sesshoumaru said nothing else as he walked out of the room, leaving Inuyasha dumbfounded on the floor.

Victoria sighed happily as she read the poetry Sesshoumaru had given her. She had her head in his lap and he was gently stroking her belly. The energy within her was strong and Sesshoumaru knew that it was not one but two pups she was carrying. Sesshoumaru stayed close to her over the last few days. After he gave Inuyasha the scroll he stayed away from the hanyou and his adoring looks. He suspected that Inuyasha now looked up to him, and that he would now have to be a true older Brother.

Sesshoumaru thought about his mate and their future, he had learned much about her since she moved into his room. Victoria always insisted on late night chats about their life in the future. But lately she seemed to forget certain things, it started when Inuyasha and Kagome began training for the fight with Naraku.

“I think the future is changing.” She said as she put her poetry down. “I don’t know what will happen if Naraku is destroyed is this era.”

“Do you think the future will not occur?” Sesshoumaru questioned.

“I don’t think I will be able to stay here.” Victoria confessed. “I don’t belong here, I belong with you five hundred years from now.”

“Lets not think about that now. Things will be fine, you will bare my pups and live as the Lady of the Western Lands.” Sesshoumaru said quietly, as if he himself didn’t believe it. Just then the sky grew dark and Sesshoumaru narrowed his eyes at the ominous clouds above them. He felt Naraku jyaki approaching and his only thought was to protect his family. Victoria dropped her poetry and pulled Shippou against her as Sesshoumaru lifted her into his arms and sprinted into the castle. He took her to their room and put her down, before he could speak Inuyasha and the others were behind him. He didn’t have to worry about Rin, she went with Ken’ichi and Takashi to their country to tour the lands. Sesshoumaru knew Rin would be safe with her future mate and his Father. What he had to worry about was his own mate and Brother right now.

“It is Naraku.” Sesshoumaru said angrily. He was pissed that the evil hanyou had he nerve to disturb the peacefulness of his castle.

Inuyasha turned to his new mate, the mating marks on her shoulder proved it. She was flushed they were enjoying a peaceful sleep with Naraku’s jyaki made an appearance. “Kagome, I want you to wait with Victoria and Shippou. Naraku wouldn’t dare to come into the castle, he’ll be trapped.” Kagome wrapped her arms around her mate.

“Inuyasha, come back to me safely.” Kagome whispered.

“Keh, of course I will. Have a little faith in me will ya.” Inuyasha smiled sadly. He knew Kikyou was with Naraku, and that he needed to protect Kagome at all costs.

Miroku turned and took Sango’s hand. Sango opened her eyes in shock. “No, Miroku.” She said with tears in her eyes. “You can’t ask me to stay behind.”

Miroku sighed. “Please Sango, if not for me. Do it for our child.” Miroku placed his hand on her womb and smiled. “Trust me, he will have a Father and a Mother. I will break Naraku’s curse and save Kohaku.” Sango gasped at Miroku declaration. She hugged him tight and cried. “We just found each other.” She said quietly.

“And we’ll have each other, for always.” Miroku smiled.

As the women were left behind Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha and Miroku left to confront Naraku. Shippou even snuck from Victoria’s watchful eye to help the other men.

Victoria noticed that Shippou was gone and panicked. “Shippou’s gone!” Kagome and Sango noticed and headed for the door.

“Stop!” The voice came from the window. Kagome and the others turned to see Kagura and Hakudoshi in the room with them. Hakudoshi smiled at Kagome as Kagura glared at Victoria. Then Hakudoshi spoke. “If you leave this room, Inuyasha and the others will surely die.” Kagome gasped and thought of Inuyasha and their moment only a few hours ago.
