The enraged half-demon delivered the killing blow to his opponent with a relish. Burying his claws into Naraku's chest and pulling out his heart. The crazed hanyou squeezed the still beating heart until it burst. Then with a smile of satisfaction at his enemies defeat, he moved across the battlefield calmly en route to his soon to be mate. His ruby eyes were fixed on her and he felt the anger well up again. How dare that filthy fool lay his hands on his Kagome?

Kikyo made a quick and barely noticeable escape. It was not a safe place any longer. Without the half-breed there to keep her safe from Inuyasha, she decided it would be in her best interests to exit stage left.

Kagura watched from her feather as her master drew his last breath and then collapsed in a pile of tentacles and body parts. She blinked slowly. She was free. Yet she felt no different. How odd that something so long wished for had no effect upon her. Her crimson gaze moved to the form of the regal demon lord as he stood stoically on the battlefield.

Miroku made his way to Sango's side, carefully avoiding the bodies of numerous dead demons that were strewn across his path. He felt incredibly weary. It was remarkable how tired he was. His curse was gone and now there was only one more thing he wanted before he could be totally happy. His gaze rested on the demon slayer who was checking their friend over. Yes, just one more thing.

Sesshomaru was not the happiest demon in the world. His brother had dealt the blow he, Sesshomaru, had planned on dealing the hanyou. It just was not fair. And yet the demon lord couldn't help but feel proud of his little brother. He certainly would have made their father proud. The demon shook his head to clear his head of such thoughts. He was becoming weak, the next thing he knew he would be spouting sonnets to wind-demons and such. Sesshomaru mentally grunted. Then with a quick turn on his heel, he made a graceful exit.

Sango surveyed Kagome's injuries and decided that she needed a healer quickly. Kagome's blood lie in a puddle by sango's feet, and the puddle was farm to large. She glanced up and saw Inuyasha making his way towards her. She felt a shiver of fear at the gleam in his eyes but she knew that the hanyou was reasonably calm. Thank kami for small favors.

Kouga glanced at Kagome and fought his need to see if she was okay but he knew his friend would be fine. In the meantime his honeymoon had been interrupted, Kouga turned his amethyst gaze to the his fiery mate. He sent her a sexy smirk, and then ran to gather her in his arms and whisk her back to their cave for some `quality time'.

Ayame shrugged off the worry and let her mate carry her off into the sunset. Wait sunset? Umm..carry her off into the sunrise.

The boy looked around him trying to figure out once again where he was. Then with a sigh and a shake of his head he headed back in the direction of the Tendo's house. Little did the misguided Ryouga know but he was very lost, but what else was new.
