I Always Will

Ten years after that day in the rural town of Okayama a 27 year old Kagome walked inside a big beautiful french normandy style house (more like a castle) "Ken'ichi I'm home!'' yelled Kagome hearing her echo. A ten year old boy with long silver hair and grayish-blue eyes ran downstairs and embraced his mom. "Don't hurt the baby.'' Kagome said rubbing her enlarged stomach. "Sorry." "Where's your father?'' "I'm right here." Kagome looked up to see the older version of her son. Kagome ran to InuYasha and they indulged themselves in a kiss. "Ewwww." Ken'ichi said. InuYasha stopped the kiss between him and his wife and looked at the little boy. "What do you mean "Ewwww!"." Inuyasha said trying to imitate his little boy. "Sorry, I meant to say, Ugggghhhh!!" InuYasha smiled. "You say that now but you'll be in the same situation and maybe if you're lucky enough you'll find a great girl like you mother here."
"Never, Dad!" "Okay, anyways, it's time for you boys to go get packed and ready to go visit my mom" "Wer're going over grandma's house." Ken'ichi smiled and ran upstairs. "What are you waiting for. Go follow you're son." "Hey. Don't boss me around, woman." Kagome smiled and gave InuYasha a kiss that soon evolved into touching. Kagome pulled away making InuYasha whimper. "You really have to go get ready or we'll be late." InuYasha gaver her small chaste kiss before walking up the stairs. Kagome smiled and slapped his butt as he was going up the stairs. InuYasha turned around with a sly grin on his face. "Okay, if keep that up we'll never get out of here."

Later on the small Taisho family rode in the rural roads heading north towards Kyoto. "I can't see why I can't drive. Hell, it's my car."
"First off, you said the farrai was mine also and the reason I'm driving is because you can't." InuYasha stared at her in astonishment. "I'm a terrible driver! Who was the one who nearly careened off of the cliff at Senera Creek." Kagome looked at him like he was crazy. "InuYasha, that was you who nearly killed us." InuYasha squinted his eyes then smiled. "Yeah, that was me. Well...." InuYasha put his finger up trying to having a good comeback. "Honey, just give up and let me drive." Inuyasha admitted defeat and leaned in to give Kagome a kiss on the cheek. "Mom? I have to go to the bathroom." "Oh, great. Now? There's no restops out here. Honey, just hold in until we get to the next town." "But, Mom? I can't wait any longer." little Ken'ichi whined as held his crotch. "Yeah, honey I gotta go the bathroom." InuYasha said. "You, too? I guess I just got one little kid and one big one." Kagome said looking over to InuYasha. "Please!!" The two of the Taisho boys whined. Kagome looked at their golden puppy dog eyes and their ears drooped adding to the already umbearable cutness. "Alright." Kagome said as she swurved over and Ken'ichi and InuYasha dashed out of the car and relieved themselves. Kagome sighed. "What will I do with them."

Later on when they arrived at Mrs. Higurashi house. She went up to the door and her husband and son followed . She used her key to get in the house only to find her mother, Kikyo's mother, and Kikyo drinking tea at the breakfast table. Mrs. Higurashi eyes lit up she ran and greeted her daughter. "You're pregnant again?!" Kagome nodded. "Yeah, it's a girl, finally" She began to rub her stomach. Then Mrs. Higurashi turned to InuYasha. "Hey, how's the law firm." InuYasha smiled. "It's great. Nice to see you again, Mrs. Higurashi" He said as he bent down to give her a hug. She smiled. "Mrs. Higurashi? You're making me sound old. Just call me mom." "Alright, mom." InuYasha said as he released his mother-in-law from the hug. "Is this my little grandson. Last time last time I saw you, you were knee high You've grown up to look like such an handsome young man." Ken'ichi blushed. "Hi, grandma" Mrs. Higurashi faced Kikyo and her mother. "You know Kikyo and her mother Aki." "Hello, Ms. Aki." "Hello, Ms. Kagome. It's been a long time."

Kikyo approached Kagome. "I'll leave you guys alone." She turned to Ken'ichi. "Wanna help grandma and Ms. Aki" Ken'ichi smiled and followed Mrs. Higurashi. "Um, I'll think I'll come also. Hey, Kikyo." InuYasha greeted then left in Mrs. Higurashi's direction leaving Kikyo and Kagome alone staring at each other nervously. "Hey, Kagome. It's been a long time." "Uh huh" Kagome said staring off into space as Kikyo babbled on. Kagome turned to face Kikyo now with a serious face. "Why are you in my house, Kikyo?'' Kikyo was silent for a moment. "Your mom and my mom were having brunch so I decided to join them. It's been a long time since they hung out. I think we should maybe do lunch some day." "I think we shouldn't" Kikyo sighed. "Kagome, I am sorry for what I did in high school but that was a long time ago and I changed." "Yeah, I heard that before when you videotaped you and InuYasha.'' "I am truly sorry. But I have a daughter and a husband. I don't have time for childish games like that anymore. And all I want is a truce from you.'' ''I do believe that you changed Kikyo but I'm not ready yet for us to hang out. Even after 11 years I am still shook up from what you did and how you treated me." Kikyo sighed. "I understand. But when you ever get ready give me a call." "It won't be soon.'' Kagome glared Kikyo and walked pass her.

Later on that night Kagome and her mom was sitting on the couch talking and Ken'ichi was sleep in Souta's old room and InuYasha was asleep in Kagome's room. ''So why did you treat Kikyo like that? She's changed of her ways and you have to learn how to forgive." "It took you 30 years to forgive Aki of what she did with daddy. I think I have a 2 more decades." "Well, I was married to your father you were not married to that Hiroshi guy. You two were friends since your crib days." Kagome sighed. ''I'll see what I can do.'' "Thanks. So you're leaving tommorrow afternoon." "Yeah, I'm sorry that I couldn't stay longer but Ken'ichi has to go school and InuYasha has a big court date." "So how are you and everything. How's your marriage." Kagome smiled. "Everything's great. Me and InuYasha sometimes get into small fights but that's it." "Have he ever hit you because if it did I would....." "Mom, calm down. InuYasha has never attempted to hit me it was just few small arguements over little insignificant things."

"Okay" Kagome yawned and stretched. "I guess I better get to bed. I miss it." Kagome sluggishly walked upstairs into her old room. It was in the exact same shape she left it. Kagome knew it would be because her mom wouldn't dare disturb anything in there. She went to her drawer and pulled out some of her old pajama's but could barely fit them because of her pregnancy. She looked over watching a sleeping hanyou on her bed and smiled. Kagome snuck into ned not trying to wake up her peaceful husband but failed at the attempt. "Mmm." InuYasha groaned. "You and your mother sure can talk." Kagome turned around to face her husband. "What do you expect. I haven't seen my mother in seven years. We had a lot of stuff to catch up on." InuYasha kissed Kagome lightly on her brow. "So what are we doing tomorrow before we leave." "Um....I heard that Miroku's moved back into town. We have to go see him." "Well, we have to go to sleep. It's a must." Kagome said as she kissed Inuyasha and sure enough they fell into a slumber.

The next morning Kagome was dressed in a nice blue summer dress, Ken'ichi had a red sleeveless shirt with khaki shorts, and InuYasha had on a dark blue pin-striped button-down shirt and khaki pants and they were at the door giving kisses and saying their goodbyes to Mrs. Higurashi. They left the house and got into the red farrai that was glowing in the Sunday sun. "I have to make a quick stop" Kagome said driving off and parking in front a loft building. "467 Roxbury this is the place.'' Kagome said. "Really?" InuYasha said. Then they got out of the car with Ken'ichi right on his father's heel and they proceeeded the door. They took the elevator up to the 2nd floor and went over to a door that read A4. "Why are we here?'' Ken'ichi asked worriedly. "To meet an old friend of ours." She knocked at the door and a tall shirtless guy opened the door rubbing the crust from his eyes. "Who is...." the guy's violet eyes grew with excitement. "Kagome?!'' He embraced her. "God, put a shirt on, man." "InuYasha, how's it going." Miroku said shaking his hands. "Miroku, it's been a long time." Kagome said "Please come in." Kagome, InuYasha, and Ken'ichi ,who was hiding behind his father, came in the giant loft. "I see you haven't changed since the last time I've seen you." Miroku pointed to her stomach. Kagome smiled timidly.

Then a lady with long raven hair that was rustled amongst her head came out with nothing but a sheet covering her. She came to discover her lover and her best friend sitting down laughing. "Kagome? InuYasha Is that you?'' Kagome got up and embraced Sango. "Still pregnant?" Kagome chuckled. "Hey, Sango." InuYasha waved from the chair not bothering to get up. "Hey, InuYasha. I heard about your law firm." Then Sango turned to Ken'ichi. "And who is this handsome young man looking just like father." "I'm Ken'ichi." "I know who you are. I knew you when you just came into the world. I was there." Sango hugged little Ken'ichi small fragile body. He blushed and smiled nervously as he felt Sango's breast rub against him through the thin fabric of the linen "Well, I'm gonna put on some clothes." Sango skipped happily to the back room. Kagome turned to Miroku and smiled. "I can see you two still have your old ways." Kagome sat down across from Miroku.

He sighed at the comment that Kagome made and changed the subject. "So you guys are still married, huh?'' Kagome and InuYasha smiled at each other then she raised her hand showing a 14kt white gold wedding band next to the pink princess cut diamond engagement ring that InuYasha gave her on their anniversary. "Well, you know the married life. So how long have you and Sango have been married." Miroku lowered his head. "We're not married." "You've guys been together this long and not yet gotten married." "I did get married.....to another woman." Kagome gasped. "Does Sango know?!'' ''She knows perfectly well of my situation." "Why are you two having sex if you're married. I'd never think of you as that type of person." InuYasha said. "I'm not! It's just that after high school I went to France and Sango stayed here. We thought it would be best if we didn't have a long distance realationship. There in Paris I met this smart, elegant, beauty of a woman, her name was Amelia. We got into a serious relationship and got married. And about 3 years ago we moved here to Kyoto, she's learned perfect Japanese just so I can live near my family." "She's sounds sweet." Kagome responded.

Miroku sighed. "She is and when I moved back I bumped into Sango and I couldn't help myself. I needed and craved her. It was like being 17 all over again." Miroku said. "So what are you going to do." InuYasha said. "I don't really know. Even though I love Sango I also love Amelia." Then Sango came out with some pajama pants and a tank top. "What'd I miss?'' ''Miroku's been telling me about how he's married." Sango stood wide eyed then sighed. "Kagome, you know I wouldn't usually do this but Miroku's something special to me." She went to stand beside. Miroku looked up at her and smiled gently. She looked at her watch. "Look we have to go." "Yeah, it's a busy day today." InuYasha said as he got up walked towards the door and his family followed. "Hey, drop by when you guys are in town." Kagome smiled as they left and Ken'ichi eagerly followed.

They got into the car and drove off. It was a silent drive then it was broken by InuYasha. "Would you ever do that to me?" He asked. "Do what?" "You know cheat on me." "No! Of course not you're the only man I love." (A/n: Even though she didn't cheat on InuYasha in this story she will in my other fic, Let's Get Away.) "Good, because I was getting worried." Kagome smiled and leaned in to give hima chaste kiss. "Well, you shouldn't have to." "Mommy, I'm getting hungry." "Well, where shall we go." Kagome asked. "I've got an idea." InuYasha smiled

Later on they arrived at Kirei's small little diner. They walked into the restaurant as the heard the bell. Kirei heard the ringing of the bell and swiftly tunred around to find InuYasha, Kagome, and Ken'ichi. "InuYasha?''
He smiled. "Hey, auntie Kirei. I see the place haven't changed. "InuYasha!!" she screamed as she ran over to hug him. "Oh my god, I haven't seen you in ages." "Where's uncle." The gracefully aged woman waved her hand. "He won this cooking contest that was out in Tokyo. I just hope he's alright. That city life ain't built for his country habits. Anywho, I see that Kagome is still the best looking pregnant woman I've ever seen. Come here and give me a hug. " She said as she leaned i and hugged Kagome. "It's nice to see you again, auntie Kirei." Kirei then looked down to Ken'ichi. "And who is this handsome young man looking just like his InuYasha when he was a boy." Ken'ichi blushed. "Hi, my name is Ken'ichi." Kirei bent down and gave him a hug. "Mmm. You're such a sweet boy." "Thank you."

"Anyways, I've got a table just for you two lovebirds" Kirei lead them to the exact table that Kagome and InuYasha had their first alleged date at. "Kagome, you remember this don't you?" InuYasha said with a grin on his face as they all sat down. "Oh, how could I forget when you cursed me out and stormed off." She said as she opened the menu. "I said I was sorry what I meant to say is when we...." He leaned over the table and began to whisper in her ear. Kagome giggled like a little schoolgirl. Then she hit him on his shoulder. "I don't believe you brought that up." InuYasha began to chuckle as he eased back into the other side of the booth next to his son who was looking puzzled at his parents. "What....what you guys do here?" "You're too young to know but anyways let's order. Um....we'll take three chili dog specials with coke please." "That'll be right up, but I don't know because our new cook is slow."

Then Kirei walked off. Kagome looked over to the table and watched her two favorite boys in the world. "What's your problem?" InuYasha asked. "Nothing, it's just I'm so happy to have you two. My father would be proud of me right now. I know he believes that your a worthy enough man to where his necklace. Thank you, InuYasha!" Kagome leaped over the booth and hugged him and then kissed him. "Whoa! What's gotten into you." "I just realized how much I love you." InuYasha smiled. "You just realized that. Wow, you're slow." He said sacastically. "It's not funny, InuYasha. I'm serious!" "I know you're serious. I love you, too, and I always will." Then they kissed again.
