Chapter 2;Brittany to Mika and Kagome to Kikyo
Inuyasha stared at the two girls sleeping in front of him. Both, as far as he could guess, were from the future. But they were both totally different in every way. Kagome was kind, gentle, loving, and compasionate. And this Brittany girl was rude, ill- tempered, stand-offish, and high-strung. Once Inuyasha and Kagome entered the village Inuyasha placed the girl down and Kagome went to sleep. Inuyasha remained were he was watching the two girls. Something was different about this new girl. And it reminded him of Kagome.
~~~The next morning~~~
Brittany woke up to Inuyasha and Kagome staring at her. "Wa-What.... Who are you guys? Oh man so it wasnt a dream..." Brittany began looking around. Sango and Miroku walked into the hut and stopped dead when they saw Brittany.
"Who is she?" Sango asked Kagome.
"She said her name is Brittany."
Brittany looked up at Kagome. "Can you please tell me how to get back to Tokyo now?" Kagome stared at the girl. "Well what year is it where your from?" Sango asked her. "2005 duh!"
Kagome smiled at her. "Finally! someone from my time! See Brittany your in the Feudal Era."
Brittany was on her feet by now. "Are you insane girl? This is just a really bad dream." Brittany stood up and walked out of the hut grabbing her bow and arows as she left. She walked over to the middle of the village and looked at the tree that was about 1500 feet away. "God... I really need a vacation." With that said, Brittany shot her arrow at the tree. Her arrow, Just like Kagomes', had an aura around it. But instead of being pink like Kagomes' it was red. She began walking towards it with the entire Inu gang beside her. Once she reached the tree everyone, minus Brittany gasped.
"Her arrow... it hit that knot in the tree dead center! You cant even see the knot from were she was shooting from!" Inuyasha stammered.
"Feh. Of course it did! I cant miss... It just doesnt suit me." A smile crossed her face.
"Feh! Dont get cocky!" Inuyasha replied.
Miroku turned to Sango, "Does this girl remind you of someone?"
Sango laughed. "Yea she's just like Inuyasha."
Kagome ran back to the spot that Brittany had shot her arrow from. 'I want to try to' Kagome thought with a smile on her face. Kagome stood at the same place Brittany had and shot her arrow. It was flying straight for Brittany! Inuyasha jumped up and grabbed Brittany around the waist, pulling her out of the arrows path.
"Hey Kagome!" Brittany yelled, "Next time, how 'bout we try not to, oh try and kill me?"
Everyone in the group laughed even Kagome did. "Sorry Brittany. I really am... Hey I think you owe Inuyasha a thanks! He did just save your life you know!"
Brittany turned toward Inuyasha and smiled. "Hey thanks for knocking me out of the way of Kagomes' clumsy shot!" Everyone laughed again. "No seriously! Thanks for rescuing me."
~~~With Kikyo~~~
"AH! So you have returned Mika! I thought you were dead. After all Naraku did kill you."
~~~Back with Inu gang~~~
"Morning all!" Brittany smiled as she greeted all her new friends. "I made breakfeast... My personal faves only! If you dont like it then you dont have to eat it." Inuyashas' eyes widened as he saw all the food. But what made him the most excited was the four bowls of Ramen that were in the center of the many different dishes. Brittany smiled, "Im just going to grab some water okay?" Inuyasha noddedas Brittany skipped off and was about to grab the bowl of Ramen when he caught a scent that was only to familiar. Inuyasha looked up right as Kikyo stepped out of the woods.
"Where is she?" Kikyo asked Inuyasha.
"Who?" Inuyasha asked through a mouth full of food.
"Mika! I know she's here!" Kikyo began walking into all the buildings looking for the girl. Both Kikyo and Brittany saw each other at the same time.
"God Kagome! Could you look any more scary? I mean I've heard of dressing as the dead for Halloween but that is just crazy! Kagome w-"
Kikyo cut Brittany off. "Dont call me by my reincarnations name!"
Brittany stared at Kikyo in shock. then she looked over to Inuyasha. "Who's the witch?" Inuyasha looked from Kikyo to Brittany. "That's Kikyo."
Kikyo stepped foward. "Is it really you Mika?"
Brittany stared at Kikyo. "My name isn't Mika! It's Brittany! BRI-TTA-NY!"
Kikyo looked at Brittany for a long while before turning away. "She's right! She is another misfit in our time. She is just like Kagome. A reincarnation of someone who has passed on who has chanced apon this world of ours. Mika is dead. And you are just lucky to be the reincarnated miko... You will never be Mika. but you have already claimed your life as a misfit for comming back."
