Chapter Seventeen: Pack lands

“What do you want ‘Sesshy’?” InuYasha mocked as he paced the study of Sesshomaru’s castle.

“Rin. She needs to go somewhere else.” Sesshomaru said as his hand twitched to rub the sore spot on his face. He ignored the name.

“Where will she go then?” InuYasha asked not caring his older brother was showing a weakness.

Sesshomaru sat on the edge of a table. He pulled a strand of silver hair behind his ear and said, “I can tell Jaken to take her to your wench, pup.”

“ I. Am. Not. A. Pup!” InuYasha growled at Sesshomaru.

In a flash Sesshomaru knocked InuYasha to the floor and growled in Inu-Yokai >you are a pup until you form a pack worthy of our father! Submit to me your elder!<

InuYasha cringed and showed his throat. He forgot about the Inu Yokai pack rules. Sesshomaru growled softly and stood. InuYasha spoke in Inu-Yokai >Sorry pup bad, forgive pup< InuYasha whimpered, hating himself for giving in to Sesshomaru.

“Get up, InuYasha.” Sesshomaru said. “First I need to know all the members in your pack at the present time and what area you currently claim as your own.”

“Eh?” InuYasha said as he crouched on his hindquarters.

“Your pack as in who is it that you lead? Don’t tell me you had no clue you formed a pack.”

“I did?” InuYasha said.

“Yes.” Sesshomaru said tiredly.

“I guess I am the Alpha male, Kagome as soon as I claim her will be the Alpha Female. Shippo is the pup and Sango, Miroku are the hunters and pack mates. Kaede and Myoga are the pack’s elders I guess. I really didn’t know. And my territory is InuYasha Forest and Kaede‘s village.” InuYasha said holding his head in his hands.

“I would name your pack as an official pack and I Sesshomaru give you these lands as a part of your mother’s original lands.” Sesshomaru pointed at the map and saw a large portion was outlined. InuYasha’s forest, Kaede’s village and Sango’s village were also in the area plus a castle; InuYasha sadly noted that belonged to his mother.

Sesshomaru noting his gaze said “it is abandoned but in good shape, father would have never allowed me to live if I didn’t keep the promise to protect her sacred lands until you sought to claim them for your mate.”

“What?” InuYasha softly said.

“You heard me,” the powerful Inu-Yokai said as he walked around the desk and to the doorway. >Pup is good, just like Father leader was. < Sesshomaru growled to him.

Suddenly InuYasha’s legs tingled and his beads pulled him straight into the stone floor. ‘just great.’ he thought to himself as he lied in a 5 inch crater.

***Kagome***

“Koga why are you lying?” Kagome asked the semiconscious wolf demon. She had wrapped his wounds and sat next to him holding Shippo in her lap. Yasha was lying on his side, bruised but fine. His amber eyes followed Sango’s pacing as she waited for the lump covered monk to wake up.

“I didn’t lie.” Koga said wincing with every word.

“I was just wonder how you came and then the ox just showed up.” Kagome said sneezing at Koga’s scent.

“Hentai!” Sango screamed and Shippo giggled as the monk fell to the ground covered in more lumps. Yasha jumped up and gnawed on Miroku’s ear. Mizu leaned against the tree sound asleep waiting for her Yokai energy to replenish itself.

“Koga just rest.” Kagome stood holding Shippo in her lap. “Shippo are you sure your okay?” she asked for the thousandth time in the last hour.

“Yes. But I’m tired.” Shippo said with a great big yawn.

“let’s rest and finish searching tomorrow.” Kagome said as she pulled her sleeping bag from the pack and unrolled it. She set the kit down and crawled inside of it followed by Shippo and Yasha. “InuYasha Sit!” Kagome yelled and smiled as the ground shook.
