I’d like to give thanks to all that have read my lowly story and made me wish to continue it purely for the sole purpose of pleasing you my readers. I want to say thank you to those who reviewed and showed me that my story was indeed good. Again I would like to thank the readers who actually reviewed. For the rest of you unnamed readers I am sorely disappointed that you read my story and leave it without a comment.

Since I have thanked all f my loyal reviewers and I know some of you have reviewed more than once and I acknowledge that I will go on with the story.

Chapter 23: Monsters

Miroku put his hand down on the cold stone of the ground beneath him while holding a hand to his head. “She hit me harder this time.” he said to himself. A loud screeching noise caused him to look wildly around and he noticed he wasn’t in a forest anymore. In front of him on a black river looking thing a large monster had growled at another monster in front of the that monster. Miroku frantically ran to Sango and pushed her awake just as the monster screeched again. Sango jumped up and held her giant boomerang at the ready. Shippo and Kirara jumped up and ran to hide behind Sango.

“What is that?” Shippo asked Sango. “It’s not any type of demon I’ve seen. And it doesn’t smell like it either.”

“I don’t know but if it screeches like that again I’ll throw my Hiraikotsu at it.” Sango nearly hissed. The monster screeched again, “HIRAIKOT…”

“STOP!” Kagome screamed as she appeared in front of Sango waving her arms in front of them. Watching as Sango put her weapon down Kagome panted as the looked at her oddly. “How did you get in my time?” she asked them as soon as her breathing was normal.

“I don’t know.” Sango admitted as she set the giant bone boomerang on the ground, her arm supporting it.

“There was this dog demon and he said a few things then Miroku said he was a ‘ dark haired and friendlier version of Sesshomaru.’” Shippo said launching himself at Kagome. She caught the kit with a soft ‘oomph’ and hugged him.

“I went to the well house and found I couldn’t go through. I was worried then I heard your voice Sango and came to see. I just got to you when you were about to attack that car.” Kagome said as she hugged the orange furball. Shippo purred and cuddled closer to her.

“What’s a carrr?” Miroku asked as he looked back to the black river with the strange monsters. Kagome looked at him and restrained a giggle.

“Car. It’s what we use to get around now. Only a few of us still walk and ride horses.” Kagome said as Shippo buried his nose into her shirt.

“Is InuYasha okay?” he asked when he caught his scent on her. As if to prove he wasn’t dead, InuYasha called from the house.

“KAGOME!” He bellowed.

“Seems like sleeping beauty finally awoke. Come on guys lets go to my house. My mom would sure like to meet you four.” Kagome said as she walked up the shrine’s steps.

“WHY CAN’T I MOVE!” InuYasha bellowed.

“I guess he found my charms.” Kagome said as she rubbed the back of her head.

“AND WHY DO I SMELL THAT MANGY WOLF!” he yelled as they came closer.

“Is he talking about Koga?” Miroku asked.

“Yeah see Koga’s here in my time. It’s his future self. Not his past.” Kagome explained as she opened the door to her house.

“Kagome!” InuYasha growled as they entered the living room. He was laying on the couch and his hair looked odd and Miroku couldn’t place what was wrong with it.

“What?” she asked as she smiled cutely.

“Why does Koga smell mated?” he asked his eyes narrowing.

“Are trying to say I mated Koga!” she growled at him her hands on her hips.

“No! because you don’t smell like it! Though you smell like that wolf! Go take a shower I will not have that wolf stench in my pack!” InuYasha growled from the couch. He sat up and his long silver hair fell forward and Miroku’s eyes widened when he saw it was wavy. And had pink things in it.

“I will not take a shower because you tell me to!” Kagome growled back.

“Um InuYasha what’s with your hair?” Miroku asked hoping the barrier he was held in would prevent InuYasha from attacking him.

“Wench! What did you do to my hair!” InuYasha growled as he began to pick the pink things out and throw them at the barrier.

“I wanted to braid it and put clips in it?” she said as Yasha bounded in to the room. (Okay I failed to mention that Kagome had brought Yasha with her and InuYasha when they went through the well. I might have to fix that chapter.) the puppy held a thin piece of clothing and he passed through the barrier and put it in InuYasha lap. InuYasha picked the clothing up and held it up for all to see.

“InuYasha!” Kagome screeched as she dove for the clothing, her face tomato red. Miroku watched as the barrier reflected her and he chose that moment to say something.

“Are those the things you wear under your clothes, your panties?” Miroku asked innocently. Kagome turned to look at hi with murder in her eyes. He wasn’t protected in a barrier. (the barrier won’t allow demon blood pass through it. Only when Kagome takes it down can she go through it. And InuYasha is like a bubble boy…..)

“Miroku?” she asked sweetly as he gulped and backed away and into a body of a short and soft something he brought a hand behind him and rubbed up against a soft lump. Sango screeched and whacked him over the head causing him to fall to the ground, out cold.
