Kagome slowly snapped out of her flashback. She often had those when she was sitting with her back to the tree where she and Inuyasha first met. She drifted to sleep and had

Flashbacks as dreams. She had just dreamt/flashbacked about her favorite memory. The Beginning. *I wonder how long I was out for this time...2:30!! I was out for 3hours and that nuisance hasn't woken me up yet?!* Kagome yawned and stretched using the tree for support she slowly got up on her numb limbs and started to head back to lady kaede's hut. It had been 4 years since kagome had come to the feudal era and freed “the nuisance”. *hahaha who am I kidding im in love with “the nuisance”* kagome thought bitterly. She had long since admitted to herself at how much in love she had fallen with Inuyasha. Its not that she minded being in love and she really enjoyed traveling with her, its how he played her heart like a harp. He was always pulling the strings then slowly snapping them. Sometimes he acted like he was a love struck puppy but others he would go chasing after that damned Kikyo. * I shouldn't hate her, we both want the same thing…Inuyasha…she's winning though…oh well I knew it all along, who am I to wedge between them…* kagome thought her sourness turning into one of sadness.

 

 

“Finally you back wench, took you long enough, enjoy your nap?” Inuyasha asked, startling kagome, from his spot in the tree. “What are you doing here? And why didn't you wake me?” kagome shot back mimicking his tone. *** I wanted to watch you sleep…you looked so peaceful and you were smiling I just couldn't wake you or leave for that matter*** Inuyasha replied in his head out loud it came out as “you were to tired you and your damn human stamina, cant ever keep up and I need you rested to find the jewel shards”. “Right I forgot can't do anything without your precious jewel detector” kagome snapped her bitterness and anger showing in her voice and stare. Inuyasha flinched. *** I forgot how scary she can be*** * arg I hate my job…he doesn't care who I am kidding…* “well see you back at kaede's you can just go ahead and leave now!” kagome said hiding her face. “And leave you out here alone? Ha you wish!” Inuyasha said while jumping down to land right next to her. “Well, thank you “she said finally looking up at him but he was turned away and all she got for a reply was “feh” which seemed to be Inuyasha's saying. “Alright, hop on my back kagome and we'll get going” he said as he turned his back to her. She nodded and hopped up.

 

 

They were soon back at kaede's hut thanks to Inuyasha's half demon speed. “Kagome!” shouted a small kitsune. He was like kagome's child and he loved her just like a mother. “We missed you!” Shippo shouted. “Ship I was only gone 3 hours” she said smiling down at him lying in her arms. “Ahh lady kagome and master Inuyasha are back” Miroku the perverted monk said peering out though the door and talking to the demon slayer and old priestess still in the hut. As Sango, the demon slayer and kagome's best fried, walked by Miroku to get to kagome she felt a hand grip her but and squeeze. She wouldn't deny how good it felt or the feelings she had for the one who did it but she wasn't some easy hoe! She turned around and hit Miroku over the head with her fist and stormed away as he fell to the ground unconscious and with a large bump on his head.

 

 

Will he ever learn* kagome thought as she watched the scene play out. She knew the two liked each other but neither would admit it. * I wish it was that simple for me and Inuyasha…* she smiled sadly at the thought and greeted her friend as she walked up red as a beet. “Hey Sango, how was he while I was gone?” she said jerking her thumb towards the regaining conscious monk. “The usual perverted self, how was your walk?” “Nice I fell asleep at the tree though.” “And he didn't wake you?!” Sango said sounding surprised. “No but he might not have been there the whole time…” “Ohhhh kags he went with you to “keep an eye on you” “she said with air quotes. *Inuyasha was watching me sleep the whole time…?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!

 

 

 

 

“Hey… wench you just took off u pathetic human!” Inuyasha said coming into view and out of the forest. She sighed and looked at the inuhanyou approaching her. *god damn he looks cute!!* “sorry Inuyasha” she said but she didn't put any feeling into it. “I guess its time to go” said the come to monk. “Ok” kagome said hopping on Inuyasha's back. “You expect a free ride you never give a thank you I mean…” Inuyasha started to rant as usual but as he said this he leapt off the ground in gigantic leaps leaving Kirara and Sango and Miroku behind a little. Suddenly, kagome and the group heard a long sad ear-splitting howl from the left. “I smell blood” Inuyasha said seriously before taking off after the howl.

 

 

“There Inuyasha, I see something white!” kagome shouted through the trees as she looked down. “I see it, hold on kagome” he yelled over his shoulder. (a/n- I have decided to exclude most of their thoughts now because the new main character is about to enter and its going to be just her thoughts) kagome gripped his red fire rat robe tighter as they descended toward the odd shape and the strong smell of blood.

 

 

“Oh my god!” kagome said as she took in the scene. There in front of her was Naraku a dead kaugura and a dead kanna. Also a poor tattered lump of white-quickly turning red with blood-fur. “Inuyasha do you think that” she pointed to the fur “defeated kanna and kaugura!!! Cause not even we have done that yet!” kagome said astonished. “I don't know but if it did and is still alive we might not want to mess with it.” Inuyasha said sounding slightly afraid. “if I wasn't so damn injured because of that-that beast I would stay and fight but as u see im not in the condition so for now, Inuyasha” Naraku said as he took off in a whirlwind of miasma. “Damn” Inuyasha said but not really meaning it, his gaze was still on the mound of fur. Kagome slowly approached it before Inuyasha could stop her.

 

 

“Kagome get back here…!” Inuyasha shouted but kagome ignored him. As she got closer the mound moved and turned a fluffy head her way. It snapped long sharp fangs at her but kagome held her ground. It looked at her quietly took a sniff of the air and then slowly laid its head and closed its eyes and passed out feeling it was finally safe. “Inuyasha!” kagome yelled as she watched the creature pass out while accepting her. “Yea, im coming” he said slowly taking his time since he could see she was safe.

 

Kagome studied the creature closer. It was actually quite magnificent. It seemed to be an impossibly large dog like wolf. That wasn't the only thing that was odd, the color was too. It was a gray, no silver. A striking in your face silver all over. It seemed to be more silver than Inuyasha's hair, maybe, no icily and exactly, like Sessouhmarou's hair! And it was hurt, very badly. Its lovely color was distorted by crimson red blood splashed all over it. “Inuyasha we have to help it!” kagome pleaded to the hanyou who was now right beside her and peering at the silver creature too. “Alright, ill carry her u gets on my back too!” Inuyasha said getting over the shock. Something about this silver large dog affected him and he didn't like to see it hurt…

 

 

When they were back at kaede's hut and they had explained the situation to Miroku, Sango and Shippo, and Kirara, and they had set the dog down and cleaned it off did they all gather around it to stare. They all couldn't help it; she (as they had learned) was beautiful. They all stirred as the creature started to come4 back and it opened its eyes. They all gasped. Piercing light purple, violet, eyes stared back. Not only that but they could see a lot (and I mean a lot *wink wink* behind those eyes. “Oh Inuyasha, can I keep her!” kagome pleaded. “What! Kagome she could hurt you and she would be a huge burden, good for nothing flea bag” he said not really MEANING IT. But to all their surprise the beautiful, peaceful turned to Inuyasha and let out a small growl; like it had understood Inuyasha's name calling. It then got up slowly and walked to kagome in a smooth flowing gait.

 

 

 

This sent another round of gasps though the companions. She was clearly bigger then Kirara and probably went all the way up to Inuyasha's shoulder, about the same height as kagome! “Wow” the word slipped from Inuyasha's lips before he could help it but everyone just meekly nodded along. She walked over and nudged kagome's shoulder affectionally. “Please Inuyasha” she looked the inu-yokai with large eyes while bringing her hand high to scratch the dog behind its ear. *** Damn*** “alright fine you can keep the mutt” he muttered. The dog shot him a look of displeasure and he quietly muttered sorry only loud enough for the dog to hear. She nodded and turned away and he stared at her dumbfounded.

 

 

 

 

“Feh” he mumbled but kept his glazed face. “I'll call her….. Ichiru” kagome said looking at ichiru. The dog nodded in approval. “I guess that's it then” Inuyasha said. The dog that sat by kagome's side then got up in its enchanting gait and walked over to a grouching cross-legged dog demon and nudged him affectionately. “Aww I think she has a crush on you Inuyasha…aww” kagome said in a baby voice. But before the startled and lightly blushing inu hanyou could reply a sharp but distinctive growl was heard from ichiru, to protest that statement. “Oh well umm… maybe …not” said a flustered Sango.*gulp* “umm yea I agree” continued an amazed monk, Miroku.

 

When it was time for sleep the group decided to sleep for the night then continue there journey tomorrow. Ichiru was rapidly healing and would be able to travel with the group at a regular pace, off to find jewel shards and Naraku. While Inuyasha was watching his friends ichiru quietly crept out of the hut. Inuyasha, our curious little friend, followed. He saw the great ichiru sitting and staring at the moon. An almost sad look to her eyes. He came over and sat with her. “Its pretty isn't it? I always like to come out here too, clear the head, ya know?” he continued on in personal rattling never expecting an answer but letting his weak side show because of … well ichiru seemed to understand yet wouldn't tell a soul, even if she could talk.

 

 

This went on for quite some time, until the sun started to rise. He had actually fallen asleep on ichiru and she had let him.

 

Kagome woke at daybreak, the others weren't up yet. She noticed ichiru and Inuyasha gone though. She decided to see if they were close. She walked a few paces and saw them. A smile lit her lips. Inuyasha looked sweet and innocent a rare face for him. He was curled up his head on ichiru lounging form, but her eyes on kagome. “Morning ichiru” she said as she smiled at the beautiful creature. The dog nodded and its eyes seemed to smile back. *what a wondrous creature, so pure and untainted* thought ichiru. (This is whose thoughts its gonna be from now on kk, kk) the great ichiru didn't leave the sleeping inu's side though. Kagome went to fix breakfast and soon everyone awoke ready to start the journey, including the grumpy Inuyasha.

 

 

On the road, kagome was on Inuyasha's back, Miroku and Sango on Kirara long with Shippo. No one knew of ichiru's abilities yet so they were all waiting to see what she could do. They were in for much more then they bargained. On land ichiru was easily just as fast as Inuyasha and running on all fours. They were impressed but not as impressed as they were when she took off with a flying leap and was soaring in the air partially lapping them all.* hah I love all of their shocked faces…if only I wasn't injured I could get a real reaction out of them * she thought as she dog-smiled and glided more slowly to let them catch up.

 

 

 

I am sorry for any mistakes hope you could understand it all!! Hi please review like I said before was just her flashback to start off the story and prep it up a little fluff beginning u see, like I said if u have come this far and are still with me then …THANK YOU I know the beginning was a tad bit boring but hey I had to lead up so I hope you enjoy and im sorry if im a tad bit slowweeerrrr but school is a huge pain I mean a teacher got arrested for sex w students eww much oh speaking of it, it will be coming up but it is a adventure not just a sex thing so if there is a scene it wont be to long =)

Oh a new character in play mwhwahahaha oh her real name is ichiru which is a specific name 4 a reason but kags calls her, her own name she made up so hey!
