Chapter 5~Girls Night Out!

"Fuck!" InuYasha cursed, as he sat in his car across the street from the little italian place Kyoto and Kagome had finally settled in for dinner. He had discretly followed them from place to place as Kagome showed his little sister around the nieghborhood, and of course they had spend endless hours in the book store, shoe store and this one particular boutique that dealt with clothes that spanned centeries it seemed. He picked up his cell and called his brother.

"Sess we gotta problem." InuYasha stated, the minute his brother answered the phone. No one but Sess ever answered it so there was no worries that it was someonelse, even if he hadnt heard Sess's voice on the other end.

"Whats the problem?" Sess asked in an all to calm tone that really drove Inuyasha nuts sometimes.

"Hojo paid a little visit to Kagome tonight..from the bug I have planted in her apartment, things didnt sound too lovely dovey or cozy, in fact Kagome pretty much kicked his butt out and threw a wad of cash at his head." Inuyasha replied, a small smirk on his face, at the recollection of the way Kagome had thrown the envolope of cash on the arrogant ass' head then bolted the door behind her. He had to admit the woman had guts, and a back bone to boot.

"Cash?? What was the cash for?" Sess asked, toneless as ever.

"Apperantly the jackass got her fired from her job and shes low on funds..shes going to loose her place I think and he was giving her money as a sorry for causing you hell so to speak, but basicly she refused it and shoved it back at him...and lets say Hojo didnt look to happy by all this."

"So whats the problem?"

"The problem is, that Hojo never left hes been following Kagome and Kyoto all around the nieghborhood and Ive been following him."

"So he knows Kyoto's there?"

"Yes and that sort of screws the plan dontcha think?"

"Not nesaccarily..Kyoto can give a believable story."

"Ya well the more I think the more Im convinced Kyoto's right..I dont think Kagome has anything to do with any of this..I mean if she did wouldnt she have money to pay her own damn rent?..and if she was in cohoots<sp?> with him wouldnt they be on friendlier terms?..I honestly dont think she had anything to do with this..I guess it really is all a coincidence dontcha think?"

"Perhaps..but I think we should still try to go ahead with our plans but modify them a bit so that we might be able to protect Kagome..wether she is in it or not she is our best link to Hojo right now."

"I dont like using her Sess."

"You didnt have a problem with it before little brother."

"Thats when I thought she might be up to her pretty neck in all this..now I dont think she is and I dont want to put her in danger."

"Ohh for Kami's sake dont tell me your attracted to her Inuyasha?" Sessh asked with an exasperated tone. Inuyasha growled.

"No Im not, but even if I was that aint none of your damn business..you know family comes first and I wouldnt let ANY piece of flesh come before that."

"See that you dont little brother." Sesshoumaru warned as he cut the link from his end, leaving Inuyasha growling and looking at the phone as if he wanted to throttle it. Just then something caught his eye. Hojo was making for the place where Kyoto and Kagome were.

"So what do you think about the neighborhood so far Kyoto?" Kagome asked with a huge smile as she took a bite of her pizza. Kyoto's face was lit up and Kagome couldnt help but think how beautifull and child like she looked with that smile on her face.

"Oooh Gods its fantastic..I mean everyone is soo nice, they say hi and hope you have a great night and stuff..the vendors offer you samples and give you flowers and..well Ive never felt so alive before Kagome..this is like nothing Ive ever encountered..these people were nice to me because thats the way they are..not because of who I am." Kyoto said with delight. She was still amazed how the streets were crowded, but with friendly people both young and old. Even the shop keepers were great, asking if you needed anything but in a way that showed as if they were actually concerned with the purchasers delight and not making a fast buck. It was all too wonderfull.

"Im glad you liked it..thats why I love this neighborhood..the people here really are the best and you should wait till the Sunday..theres this part of the park that allows vendors to sale thier wares in an open market..its really nice, theres entertainers and food and just soo much to see and do, not to mention all the freshest of fruits and veggies around." Kagome replied.

"Ohhh I sooooo cant wait." Kyoto responded with sincere eagerness. Just then her cell phone went off. She frowned, looked at the caller I.D and frowned more.

"Sorry Kagome but I have to take this..will you give me a sec?" Kyoto asked apologeticly.

"Sure no prob, Im headed for the ladies room anyway, see ya in a few."

"Thanks Kagome..for everything..especially tonight." Kyoto replied gratefully and Kagome smiled waving it away as being her pleasure.

"What is it Yash?" Kyoto asked with a little snarl, the minute she picked up the phone. How dare her brother intrude on such a great evening, she just knew he did not have good news.

"Well hello to you too Sunshine." Inuyasha replied sarcasticly.

"Anyway thought Id give you heads up baby sis..Hojo's been tailing you and Kagome all night..and hes about to walk into the restraunt you two are in now..give me a few and I'll meet you in there just to make sure Hojo behaves..stick to the plan k? You know the story, why your there etc etc etc." he replied monotonly, and Kyoto rolled her eyes.

"Ya ya It was my idea remember? but I gotta go I wanna catch Kagome coming out of the ladies room before Hojo has a chance to get her alone...see ya in a few bro." she said as she hung up the cell and made her way threw the small but quaint little eatery.

~~~Kyoto made it to the ladies room before Kagome had even come out which was good. When she got in she saw Kagome by the mirrors over the sinks washing her hands. Kagome smiled up at her.

"Sorry I needed to wash my hands..never knew pizza could be soo.....messy." Kyoto grinned sheepishly. Yes she had had pizza before, but frankly having pizza at your house in a mansion was way different from having it like regular people. At her house you did not eat anything with your hands, which included pizza.

"Youve never eaten pizza before?" Kagome asked with a surprised face.

"Yes I have, but eating pizza with my folks was way diffrent than eating it here, I prefer this method the best." she giggles as she washed her own hands.

~~~They finished and were out the door and headed to thier table when they almost bumped into someone. Ten guesses who, Kyoto thought. Why he even bothered to act like it was an accident was a mystery to her. Then when he looked down a them with an apologetic look on his face, then was of suprise? Well the boy could win an Oscar for his acting abilities.

"Kyoto?..is that really you?" Hojo asked in a very surprised tone and a smile on his face. If Kyoto hadnt known he was there, she just might of believed he bumbed into them by accident.

"Hello Hojo..wow what brings you here?" Kyoto asked, faking a friendly tone.

"I was just about to ask you the same thing."

"I live here..In fact meet my new next door nieghbor Kagome..Kagome this is an old family friend Hojo." Kyoto introduced, as if they had never met before, she felt Kagome tense but Kagome smiled tightly.

"Why hello Kagome..very nice to meet you." replied Hojo with an overly sweet voice, that gave even Kyoto a toothache. So we're going to play the dont know each other act? Kyoto thought, till Kagome blew that idea out of the water.

"We've met..If you'll excuse me Kyoto I'll let you catch up, Im going to be at the table ok?" she stated, not even waiting for an answer as she weaved her way towards the table.

"So you know Kagome? Wow what a coincidence, from where Hojo?" Kyoto asked with sweet innocense.

"Ya we did...I met her at this store she was working at about two years back." he said absently, acting like it was no big deal. Kyoto knew better.

"So what are you doing down here Kyoto?" he asked in a very kind curious but friendly manor which Kyoto knew was a load of crap.

"Actually long story short??..my parents went off on a world wind trip..got lonely at the mansion, wanted my own place, but living at the penthouse suites right next to my brothers was not what I wanted..you know how over protective they are?..so I wanted some space..I liked this nieghborhood and moved in..I got lucky to find my next door neighbor was such a sweet heart and offered to show me around the area."

"That was sweet of her."

"Wasnt it??..speaking of brothers..dont look now but here comes Inuyasha." Kyoto said, as she rolled her eyes and gave a fake exasperated sigh. But inside she wondered what the heck had taken him so long. She didnt like talking to Hojo.

"Hey sis." Inuyasha grinned as he walked up to her and gave her a peck on the cheek.

"Yasha?? havent I told you about keeping tabs on me?? I mean doesnt that sort of defeat the purpose of moving from home and away from you and Sess?" Kyoto asked him with a frown and a deep fake sigh.

"And your point is? You know Sess and I werent too crazy about you moving down here, soooo get used to it brat." he stated before looking at Hojo, then quirked his eyebrow at him.

"Hojo? What are you doing here?" he asked, in all surprise. Kyoto keep from rolling her eyes at his acting abilities.

"Just passing threw actually..I was going to grab a pizza."

"You drive all the way down here for a pizza?" Inuyasha asked him with an incredious look on his face.

"Actually when Im in the area I do, its great pizza, but as I said I was near by so decided to stop..I was actually really surpised to see Kyoto here."

"Ya I know Sess and I tried to talk sense into her but she had her mind made up about moving down here..and you know how she can get when she makes up her mind?" Inuyasha smirked, Kyoto elbowed him and Hojo laughed.

"Well it was nice running into you guys..tell Kagome I said goodbye Kyoto." Hojo added with a perfect smile as he left the eatery. Niether of the siblings made a comment on his lack of a pizza, which he claimed to come get. They made their way over to the table and Kyoto introduced Kagome to Inuyasha.
