Chapter 12~Out At Last!

~~~~That was it! Kagome had had it. Kyoto went out on a business dinner with an overseas client, and Kagome was bored out of her ever loving mind. She hated being inside too long, she need to be outside. Her brusises were gone, the yellowing had been covered with Make up and she looked totally normal. So she decided that she was going out for the night. Kyoto had given her a pass key to the penthouse and gavet he gaurds at the door her name so she could go and come as she wished, although Kyoto had cautioned her not to go anywhere outside of the company alone. But what was a girl to do? She needed out. Thus getting dressed and grabbing her purse and a casually dressed in a spegettie strapped dress and low heels she went out the door and pushed the button on the elevator. Just as she had pushed the button a door down the way opened and out popped Inuyasha.

"Ohh great!" Kagome moaned. Why was he always butting in? Didnt he have a life for goodness sakes. She eyed him warily as he practically stomped over to her. Damn elevator takes ages, Kagome thought.

"And where the hell do you think your going?" Inuyasha growled in her face, ticked off that she was going anywhere without someone to protect her. Kagome fummed.

"First of all that isnt any of your damn business..Your not my boss..your not my brother and you sure in the hell aint my warden..I can go where ever I want to and I dont have to answer to you." Kagome replied with supressed anger. Who did this guy think he was? Were rich guys like this everywhere? Thinking they owned everything and everybody?

"Look Kagome I thought we went over this...we arent trying to keep you here against your will you know...we just want to keep you safe." Inuyasha replied with a sigh. He let all his anger fade and calmed himself down. She was right. She didnt have to answer to him, as much as that galled him to admit.

"Look Inu...I know you all mean well..and I thank you all for that, but Im fine and I really really need to get out for awhile..ive been cooped up in this place for 9 days now and if I dont get out Im going to loose my mind...I just wanted to go out to dinner." Kagome replied softly as she too let her frustration and anger fade. She knew they were just looking out for her and it was sweet, suffocating, but sweet.

"Do you mind if I come with you?? I dont have any plans and it would be nice to get out as well...in an unbusiness related outing." he explained when she gave him a sour look. Kagome sighed.

"Fine..right now I just need to get out of here..if you wish to come, if it will make you feel better then come along..just lay off the bossiness k?" she asked.

"I aint bossy" Inuyasha smirked.

"Give me five minutes to throw on a change of clothes and grab my things ok?" he asked but was already headed down the hall towards his place. Kogome sighed and waited not to patiently by the already opened elevator door. As promised five minutes later Inuyasha came out wearing some really nice casual black slacks, black shoes, and a black button up shirt with the top two buttons undone and the sleeves carelessly rolled up at the elbows.

"Ready?" Inuyasha said huskily when he saw Kagome checking him out, her eyes lingering on the spot he had left the top two button open on his shirt. He took a very satisfied inner chuckle at that. Finally the wentch shows something other than anger towards me. Dont worry Kagome I plan to make you drool with want for me soon enough. He inwardly vowed.

~~~Kagome blushed ten shades of red as she realized that she had been checking him out. What the hell was wrong with her? She did NOT see Inuyasha like that. He was Kyoto's brother and a rude annoying jerk. So why the hell did she momentarily think he looked absolutly sinfully gorgeous in all black? She was a sucker for a man in black thats why, she scolded herself. Inuyasha chuckled lightly and took her arm and led her into the elevator. They didnt say a word as they rode down and got out the lobby. It wasnt till they were in his car that either of them spoke.

"Uhh Kagome?"

"Ya?"

"Where are we going?" he asked, unsure of where she wanted to go or what she wanted to eat, he would go anywhere she wanted to.

"I..I have no idea..i was just going to walk around and take in the night air as I found someplace I could grab dinner." she replied. Inuyasha quirked an eyebrow at her.

"You do know the closest open eating place around here is like 2 miles?" he stated, thinking that if she had thought to walk around at night for over two miles he was going to ring her pretty little neck.

"Really? I didnt know that..well good thing your coming and you got a car..now i dont have to walk to miles." she smiles and he would of shot her a death glare if that smile didnt make him want to kiss her badly.

"Can we go someplace that serves food outside Inu??? I want to be outdoors for a little while ok?? Ive been cooped up for so long I just want to enjoy the night outside." she asked giving him another one of those killer smiles that was sorely tempting his will power.

"Sure..I know this cute little place...its a old fashioned place where alot of the customers can eat outside if they wish to enjoy the landscape..its a rendition of a Japanese Tea Garden." He stated as he started up the car and pulled out and into the street. (Ok guys dont know if they have those anywhere in Japan, thinking its more than likely but I saw the place im thinking of in San Francisco..God it was beautifull..sighs happily at the memory)

~~~It didnt take to long to get to the place, although it was like miles and miles away almost at the outskirts of Tokyo. Even being as far out as it was, she saw it didnt lack for business. Then she realized why. It was a very ritzy restraunt and it seemed like only those of higher class society that could afford such a place was eating there. Of course it was open to the entire public but the reservations were at least made two years in advance. She couldnt blame anyone for wanting to eat at such a lovely place though. It was enchanting. The dinning area and restraunt itself was an old shrine like structure with brick colored walls, that stood in the dead center of a very beautifull garden. A large pond on each side of the building seemed much but when you thought about it the nice secluded eating area's spaced about the garden offered a wonderfull view and privacy. Sakura trees in bloom were everywhere adding a very nice aroma to the air. In the ponds you could hear the crickets and frogs and hear fish jumping. There was lilly pads and lotus blossoms floating carelessly on the serene surface, and over each pond was one of those old quaint little archec wooden bridges. (ok so I dont know what they are called and if you do it would be much appreciated if ya told me..ty ty) It was the most beautifull place Kagome had ever seen, and the scariest. She didnt mingle well around the wealthy.

"Inuyasha?" Kagome hissed, glancing down at what she was wearing, feeling her face heat up as he told the guy at the gate, yes gate, since the whole beautifull structure was surrounded in a brick wall with green shingles at the top. Inuyasha leaned over and whispered in her ear.

"Dont worry Kagome you look beautifull..besides contrary to what you might think this is a casual dress place..we could of come in jeans and a t shirt if we had wanted to." he explained as he looked at the guy at the gate.

"Welcome Mr. Takashi..your usual table?" the guy asked, already familiar with the Takashi family, they had an open reservation, since the owner of the place was Inuyasha's aunt Kaede, she was old but a very wise and gentle woman. She was his fathers oldest sister. And he had 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

"Not tonight Jun..Id like a table for me and my guest outside by the west pond." Inuyasha replied.

"As you wish sir...Yuu will meet you at the entrance of the main dinning room to escort you to your table by the time you reach the door." the man replied giving Inuyasha a bow, which Inuyasha returned. Kagme watched as the man picked up a phone and informed someone on the other end of Inuyasha's request. By the time they got up the cobble stone pathway to the front of the shring like building someone was outside waiting for them.

"Good evening Inuyasha.." The older man smiled brightly and warmly as he bowed towards Inu. Inuyasha blushed and bowed back.

"Hello Yuu..this is Hiragashi Kagome..Kagome this is my cousin Yuu." Inuyasha made introductions. Kagome gulped and bowed. Cousin?

"Nice to meet you Kagome." Yuu replied with a genuine smile and heart felt welcome as he too bowed to her and she returned it with her own smile. This man was older than Inu but he was sweet and good natured, it showed in the laugh lines around his face and mouth, the twinkle in his eyes. He motioned for them to follow him as he led them down another path skirting the main building.

"Wheres Aunt Kaede?" Inuyasha asked his cousin. Yuu chuckled.

"Where else? In the kitchen making sure that every plate that leaves her kitchen is the best quality, she says people wait for months just to come eat here and although the prices are reasonable they do wait for years sometimes to eat at her place and they deserve the best." Yuu replied chuckling at his mothers need for perfection. Inu chuckled too.

"Ya know you didnt have to meet us at the door Yuu..your not a mateirdee<sp?> or a waiter ya know." Inu told him.

"Ya right..you know mom would kill me if any of her family showed up at the door of this place with out being greeted by family.." Yuu replied with another fit of chuckles which Inu joined in.

"When Jun phoned the front mom sent me out to greet you...she told me to tell you that she will stop by your table later and to be prepared for a lecture, shes not happy that you galavant all over the world being a playboy and rarely visit her." Yuu told his younger cousin and watched Inuyasha sweat. He couldnt help but grin. Of all Inuyasha's aunts Kaede was his favorite and the only one who ever dare scold him. He loved her alot and respected her. And she was always on his and Sess's butts about getting married and having children so she could play with her great grand nieces and nephew before she passed away. This was standard guilt trip for her, she was healthy as an ox and would no doubt outlive them all. In essence she was more like a grandmother to them all since thier own grandmother had passed away long before Inuyasha was every born.

"Well enjoy..I would sent a waitress out to your table but you know mom...shes already preparing you your favorite meal and sampler platter for you lady friend so she had the oppurtunity to taste all of her wonderfull recipies." Yuu laughed as he bowed and left them alone at a beautifull lace covered table with a sakura blossom candle at the center of it. The moon was full and the place was like a magical place and Kagome adored it.

"Sorry bout that but my aunt Kaede who owns this place can be really pushy." Inuyasha explained as he looked at kagome. Kagome smirked.

"So thats where you inherited it from huh?" she teased and Inu playfully growled at her. She giggled and felt light headed as she took in all the stimuli around her. This place was meant to cater to the sight, the hearing, the smell of ones senses, and she had no doubt the food would take care of the taste part of it. It was the perfect place. Unknown to them both, a woman with a friend of hers had seen them sit down and the woman at the table smiled with a cold look. She knew all about Kagome Hiragashi, and knew that she was Hojo's ex girlfriend. As Hojo's current girlfriend she had a plan to make it clear to the lower class female that she was no competition and to stay clear from Hojo if she knew what was good for her. After all this was her chance to get herself one of the richest unmarried men in the whole city and no one was going to blow that for her.
