Chapter 20~Frustration!

~~~Inuyasha was frustrated beyond anything he had ever been in his life. He hadnt see Kagome since the day they had taken her to her parents almost a week ago. He knew she had contacted his sister Kyoto and Kyoto had said that Kagome was doing good. She was feeling better and feeling at home and at peace with life. He still didnt understand why she just didnt come back to the penthouse. He remebered her words that night. No. He could not and would probably never understand how it felt to be homeless and not belonging here or there. To feel like you didnt have a place in the world. Yes he was a rebelious one but he knew he had his families love and that they worried and cared about him. He had a home, he had all the money and perks that came with being an heir and one of the heads of a huge company like his families. Yes Kagome's family loved her, but he was sure that they had had thier share of problems in thier life, problems he would never understand or hope to sympathize with.

~~~But he wanted her. He felt empty without her around and he missed her. He really couldnt explain why he thought of her as much as he did or why he did. But he didnt really queastion it, he went with his gut most times and his gut was telling him that Kagome was more than just a passing fancy to him and if he let her go, he would regret it. But how to go about seeing her without going to her and straight out telling her how he felt?? He wanted to but he knew she was leary about men and relationships, didnt really trust them. And although that grated on him, he understood it. He didnt want to be one of the men she fell for and quickly discarded because she couldnt trust him or believe he truelly cared for her, and untill he could actually tell for certain wether he loved her he wanted to keep quiet.

~~~Again this did not help his situation. He was totally frustrated. He had a man watching Kagome where ever she went, to keep her safe, or at least that how he justified it. But mostly he liked hearing daily reports on her and what she was doing. It made him feel connected to her in some small way and even a tiny connection to her was better than no connection at all. He totally knew about Hojo going to visit her the next day after she had gotten out and how her step dad had handled the situation. Inuyasha had taken it upon himself to get a restraining order against Hojo and told Kikyo to inform Kagome..telling her it was her idea not his. He didnt want her to know he was watching her and how much he cared for her, not yet anyway.

~~~As far as Inuyasha knew Kagome was happy again, or at least at peace for now and was looking for a job. He wanted so bad to get her one at the company, but how would he explain that to her and to everyone else?? He was sure Kagome was not the type to take what might be construed as charity so he didnt even bother. So as you can tell it was a major shock to find out she had found a job, at a temp service that was well known and well respected. They had sent her to be a private assistant to a very busy and well known businessman. She was going to be working for his big brother Sesshoumaru temporarily, till he could find a permanant replacement for his last assistant. He wondered if Kagome wondered if this job was some sort of pity or make up job to get her to be by thier side? But as far as he knew it was a legit job and Kagome just happened to pass the test the temp service had on file for applicants that applied for Sess's assistant. And ooh boy did Sess need an assistant bad he thought.

~~~Today was Kagome's first day at the company that Kyoto and Inuyasha worked at, as well as owned via thier dad. Of course she would be working for thier older brother Sesshoumaru which frankly she hadnt met once in all her time there. He was a loner and a busy guy. And from what she had heard from Kyoto since they had met, he really did need an assistant. So when the temp service had sent her to this job, she knew it was legit, even if at first if she had been suspicious of it, thinking Kyoto had gotten her the job out of pity. But in her gut she knew that that was not the case.

~~~But knowing this did not make her feel any bit easier about her first day. Frankly she was nervous. She had been surprised she had passed the rigourous test that the temp service had made her go through, but she had all on her own. She knew it hadnt been rigged because it had been rough, but she had known the answers, had solved all the hypothetical questions set out to the best of her abilities. Her score had been the highest and she was surprised but did not doubt it as being a rig by Kyoto or even Inuyasha. If she had to peg someone for rigging it she would most likely blame Inu. She wasnt sure why but Inu seemed to want her around and didnt want to be out of the loop so to speak. Ok. She had a clue. She felt the vibes. She knew Inuyasha had a sort of attraction to her. And although she admitted to only herself that he was growing on her and had some odd attraction to him as well, she would not let anything happen between them. She couldnt. She knew his playboy ways. Knew his temper. His foul mouth and moods. And she was affraid. Affraid that she might like him alot more than he liked her. He might be attacted to her but that could just be lust not really any real liking as far as beyond a night. She really didnt mind spending just one night with Inu. She knew that probably sounded bad, but she was a healthy red blooded gal who enjoyed the oppisite sex. But the problem was, she had a feeling she could fall for Inu hard and one night might not be enough for HER. And that was a bad thing. A really really bad thing.

A/N~Okies next chap its really really short and im sorry, but I wanted to get something out and get some of Inu and Kags feelings out a bit. It will start to get more intense hopefully soon. Tell me what ya think k?? much huggles and smiles Mija..:-)
