Chapter 34~The Morning After 2!

 

 

 

 

~~~To say Inuyasha was in a good mood was a way missunderstatement. In fact he was in a rather foul mood. The moment he had woken up he had known. Kagome had not been in bed beside him, as she had been the night before. For a moment he had wondered if last night of incredible sex and passion had really occured, but the scent of Kagome filled the room, the scent of him and her, of thier lovemaking. Why had she left he wondered. She had left no note, no message on his answering machine. This was very new to him. He most times was the one to leave women's beds, not the other way around, and for a moment he thought that this was karma. But he would get answers, she would be at work today and he would find out why she had left without a word.

 

 

~~~But when he finally managed to go to Sesshomaru's office and see Kagome things werent as they should of been. First off, Kagome had asked him if he had some information for Sesshomaru, when he said no, she asked if he had an appointment, which really riled him. She was acting so cold and with drawn from him, as if what they had shared had not occurred.

 

"Kagome? why are you acting like this?? we need to talk." he told her in a cold cool tone. Kagome lifted an eyebrow in question, which really got on his ever loving nerves.

 

"First of all Inuyasha if you have not come to see Sesshoumaru and dont have an appointment then you cant see him, and as you know there is no fraternizing with fellow employee's while working, those are Sesshomaru's rules, and as for me, I am acting as I should, like a proper assistant to my boss." She replied cooly. Only inflaming his ire.

 

"Cut the crap Kagome, you and I both know we have alot to talk about...especially about last night.." For a moment he saw a nervous tick in her eye and a slight blush, but what she did next so made him feel like it had not occurred at all.

 

"Look, to take care of this once and for all, I will say this, I do not regret what happened, but it was a one night thing and that is it, it will not occure again. Now please Inuyasha I have alot of work to do, so please, if you dont wish to see Sesshomaru then I have to ask you to leave." she replied in a cool tone.

 

"A ONE NIGHT THING????!!! . " Inuyasha all but yelled but before he could get into it further Sesshoumaru came out of his office and he did not looked pleased.

 

"Have you come to inform me of something Inuyasha?" he asked.

 

"No." Inu replied dryly.

 

"Then why are you here?? I am sure there is much to do in your own department I am sure..and what is all this yelling I hear?" Sesshoumaru asked, giving Inu a look, that said he would not tolerate any personal stuff during business hours.

 

"Yes I have work to do, just thought I would talk to Kagome for a bit, but as youve reminded me ohhh brother of mine, business before pleasure....or anything else." Inu replied sarcasticly and with anger in his tone, before he left he looked at Kagome.

 

"We will talk later....this is not over." he added as he walked out into a huff.

 

~~~Sesshoumaru lifted an eyebrow and looked at his brothers retreating back then back at Kagome. She looked awfully quilty, sad and embarrassed. He wondered about that, but would not ask.

 

"I am sorry Sesshoumaru this will not happen again." Kagome said in ways of apologizing, even if she still looked stricken and quilty, and sad.

 

"Im sure that it wont." He replied as he walked back into his office, wondering what had occured between the two. Last time he had checked they had been getting along very well. But although it was family, he was not one to pry, This was something they would have to get through on thier own.
