Chapter 1
The star and the lost wish

The woods silence was broken by one word. “Sit!”
“What the hell did you do that for?” yelled Inuyasha from the ground.
“You shouldn't have said that to her,” Sango replied. Shippo shook his head in agreement. Once Inuyasha finally pulled himself up to find Kagome gone.
“Where did she go?” he yelled.
Kagome stormed off towards the old well. “That jurk! I am going home!” she yelled. Inuyasha jumped in front of her. She screamed from being caught off guard.
“Where do you think your going?” he asked.
“I am going home,” she replied walking around him.
Inuyasha exploded. “What?!” he yelled.
“You heard me. I AM GOING HOME!” she replied louder.
“No you are not!” he yelled jumping in front of her again.
“Sit boy!” she yelled. Inuyasha's necklace glowed and he was forced to the ground again. She stepped over him and to the well.
“Bye!” she smiled jumping into the well going back 500 years to her own time.

In the past
Inuyasha sat next to the well thinking of what to do next. Miroku came up from behind him. “You know, you could go and bring her back,” he added to Inuyasha's thoughts.
“Yeah, but she seemed pretty mad this time,” replied Sango. Kerara `meowed'
“She'll come back on her own!” Inuyasha yelled angrily jumping over a tree and sat on its branches.
“It wouldn't surprise me is she never came back. The way you treat her Inuasha,” yelled Shippo from the ground.
Inuyasha jumped down. He bent down and looked Shippo in the eyes. “Is that so?” he said.
“OW!” Shippo yelled rubbing his head.(Which now had a bump on it.)
Inuyasha then jumped back into the tree.

In the future

“Mom! I'm home!” yelled Kagome walking into her house.
“Hello dear! Is Inuyasha with you?” asked her mother.
Kagome sighed, “No mom,” she said walking into the kitchen.
“What is wrong dear?” her mother asked.
“Inuyasha,” Kagome sighed. Her mother smiled.
“You two will work it out sooner or later. You always do,” she replied.
Kagome sighed and walked to her room. She laid down on her bed and looked up at the ceiling. Before she knew it she was asleep.
When she woke up she was starring into two big golden eyes. “Inuyasha,” she whispered. Surprised to see him.
“Kagome,” he started, “…uhh we need to find the jewel shards.”
`Why didn't say it!' he yelled at himself.
“Oh how nice of you!” Kagome yelled. “Is that all I am to you? A tool?” she questioned angrily. She felt hurt.
“No,” he said slowly but still couldn't get his words out right.
Kagome's brown eyes flashed. “What?”
“Nothing,” he said jumping out the window. Kagome sighed when she noticed it was dark out. She got out of bed and went outside to find Inuyasha. She found him sitting in the Sacred Tree. He jumped down and said, “I am sorry,” he glanced at the ground.
`Did he just say he was sorry?' thought Kagome who couldn't believe her ears. “You didn't do anything. I am the one who should be sorry,” whispered Kagome.
Inuyasha's ears twitched as he pulled her into his arms. Kagome was taken my surprise, blushed, but liked the feeling of it. She felt safe. They stood there watching the sky. Inuyasha was thinking, but also couldn't say what he really wanted to say to Kagome. Kagome saw a star in the sky that seemed to be glittering. she made a wish. She then closed her eyes and moved closer to Inuyasha. He breathed in her scent that he loved.
“We will go back tomorrow,” she whispered. But, Inuyasha was too deep in his thoughts to hear was she said.

Kagome woke up the next morning back in her bed and her room. She was even more surprised when she felt Inuyasha's around her. But, she didn't mind. She smiled and instead of getting out of bed she moved closer to him. He opened his eyes and tightened his grip around her.
“Good morning,” she said.
“Good morning,” he replied back.
“Thank-you for taking me back to my room,” she said getting up. Inuyasha unwilling let her go. Kagome grabbed a new uniform and went to the bathroom to change. When she returned Inuyasha was sitting on her bed playing with her cat Buyo (uhh is that how you spell it?) “Don't you remember the last time you did that?” she asked. But, Inuyasha kept on laughing. Kagome shook her head as she grabbed her yellow backpack. She then grabbed her arrows and her bow. “Are you coming?”
It took him a minute to notice what she said. “Yeah, let's get going!” he said as he jumped out the window. He waited for her at the well.

In the past

“Where did Inuyasha go?” Miroku asked.
“I saw him go into the well last night,” Shippo said.
“He couldn't stay away,” Miroku laughed.
“You have room to talk monk,” Sango said.
“I know, I know,” he said.
At that moment Kagome and Inuyasha came back. “Kagome!” Shippo yelled.
“Hey guys!” Kagome said happily.
“Kagome, back so soon?” Miroku asked.
“Yeah,” she said looking at Inuyasha.
“Anything happen?” Miroku asked.
“No! You perverted monk!” yelled Inuyasha. But, at the same time he went pink, no one noticed but Kagome. She winked at him.
“So, Kagome which way?” asked Sango.
Kagome didn't answer right away. “Well…there are three shards coming towards us fast.” Inuyasha sniffed the air. *Sniff Sniff *
“That wolf!” growled Inuyasha.
“Kouga,” Kagome sighed. Then there was a rush of wind and Kouga the wolf daemon was holding Kagome's hands. “Uh, hello Kouga.” She said.
“Take your hands off of her!” Inuyasha yelled.
Kouga smiled, “Shut up mutt!” He walked over to the half-daemon. “You smell like Kagome!” he exclaimed. Kagome grew bright red.
“So? What are you going to do about it?” Inuyasha asked.
Kouga thought about it, then he was back at Kagome's side. “Who would you rather be with?” Kagome said nothing.
“She doesn't have to answer to you?!” Inuyasha yelled almost fearful that she might chose Kouga over him.
Kagome looked from Kouga to Inuyasha and back to Kouga. “I am sorry Kouga, but I chose Inuyasha.”
Sango smiled, Miroku laughed when he saw Inuyasha's bright red face, and Shippo jumped into Kagome's arms. “I knew you would chose Inuyasha,” he said.
“Any day,” she whispered low enough that only Inuyasha could hear her. He smiled than turned around. “Something is coming,” she said.
Inuyasha looked around, “I don't sense anything. Are you feeling okay?” he asked worried.
Kagome also felt worried, “Yeah.”

Later that night Kagome and Inuyasha were sitting by the fire when she looked up into the shy. “That is the same star I saw last night!” she said pointing to the glittering star.
“Really?” he asked looking at it.
“They say if a person sees the same star twice that their deepest wish will come true,” she said.
Inuyasha looked at Kagome. “Did yours?”
“No,” she said looking back into the fire. “I am sure my wish will never come true,” she said out loud.
“Kagome,” Inuyasha said. His golden looked very sad.
“Don't worry about me,” she said then yawning. “Goodnight,” she said sleepily.
“Good night,” he whispered. He then looked up at the star Kagome pointed out.
