Rin sighed but continued to trudge along the forest as the rain started to pour down even harder. Two weeks had past since she had left, all the others were probably worried about her, maybe she should send them a letter next time she passed by a village. She sighed as the pain in her chest grew. She missed Inuyasha terribly, she missed his eyes, his hair, his lips, his hands, his arms, his tummy, and his ‘talents’. She nibbled on her bottom lip and looked around, through the pouring rain, to see if she could find where she could stay this night. Last two nights she stayed in the trunks of some kind tree demons.

She smiled as she spotted a cave and jogged slowly towards it. She peeked in and could detect no life in it. She walked in and saw that no one had been in there for a long time but maybe some really big birds. She smiled, happy to be out of the rain, and noticed a pile of old wood in the corner. It looked like a large nest and it looked like it had been there for a long time too. She centered it in the middle of the large cave and searched for something Inuyasha called a ‘plastic bag’ and took out a rock that created fire quickly. The fire came to life and she placed her wet bag and clothes near the fire. She waited for one pair of clothes to dry before she took off her wet ones to set them out to dry too.

She looked out he mouth of the cave and saw it had finally stopped raining. She sighed and walked out to see if she could find some more dry wood. She went out into a edge, the air becoming humid as she ducked into another cave. She followed the rapidly warming air in the cave and smiled as she ended up in front of a hot spring. She looked around and saw that there was another exit on the other side, though you could barely make it out. There were dry vines on the wall, two other nest like the last and dry moss farther down the cave. In the entrance in where she came from she had noticed many deer and rabbits along the side. She wasn’t sure how to kill the deer but the rabbits would be a snap.

She grinned and walked to the first cave she came across and waited for her clothes to dry. She had finally found her new home.

Inuyasha sat in the corner of his hut holding one of the few things Rin had left behind, and inhaled her lingering scent. Her scent was fading quickly and he wasn’t so sure he would stay sane when the scent of his little Rin disappeared and turned into his own. He felt like sobbing and just curling up in a ball. Did he really upset her so? Was she that mad? Is this how it felt like for Sesshomaru when she had run away from him? Did what he do to her even compare to what ever Sesshomaru did to her?

His heart ached longingly just to have her back, even if she wanted nothing to do with him. Even if he had done his damage and she took another for her mate, or husband if he was human. She had a taste for demon blood. He acted strong for the others, he acted as normal as he could, considering this was the third time he had lost someone dear to him because of his stupidity. Though Kagome chose her own path he had done his damage to her as well. Making her doubtful and cautious when giving her heart.

“Inuyasha?” a meek voice called out.

Inuyasha frowned, Izumi should be sleeping, it was extremely late, “ Yeah?” he asked his voice gruff.

“ Are you okay?” he voice filtered out gently as she peeked her head in past the door.

Inuyasha blinked, was he really that bad?

“ Keh.”

She came in and sat in front of him. “Don’t be sad. We’ll find her.” she cooed her voice coming out in a purr, trying to sooth his frazzled nerves.

He rolled his golden eyes and leaned against the wall and sighed, she was only trying to help. She was obviously worried about him, she seemed un sure what to do. So she slinked next to him and hugged his mid section and held him tight. Inuyasha sighed slightly annoyed but placed his arm over her shoulders and tried to relax. Which came easy, surprisingly, maybe that’s what he was missing, Rin’s shy love, her body next to his. Izumi made a fine substitute, his head slowly dipped so his chin was resting on the crown of her head, Izumi sighed in relief and looked out the window. Miroku, Shippo, and Kohaku watched through the window. Inuyasha’s senses had been out of order since she left, so much that the three had watched the whole exchange without being noticed.

They smiled and Kohaku pouted slightly but winked at Izumi, she rolled her eyes and held Inuyasha tighter, who in turn snuggled closer. Kohaku glared jealousy getting the best of him, “ I Changed my mind! Get your ass out here!” he hissed in a low voice. Both, Miroku and Shippo elbowed him and dragged him away, Izumi snickered, and wrapped her tail around him.

He had been so sad, though, you could barely tell at all. But if you took the time to look into his eyes, they way all of them did, you could see him slowly crumbling apart from the inside out.

She got comfortable and went to sleep.

It had stopped raining for a long time, it had slightly washed away Rin’s soft scent. Much like Sesshomaru, she had a two headed dragon. Though their names didn’t flow like Ah-Un, their names were Kim and Kira, the left head named after a friend that used fire. The right head could spit out lightning bolts and the other flames from hell, or so they said.

Anna looked around a found a large cave. Rin’s scent was strong. She walked around, walked on a wide ledge and into another cave. The air was humid, so there probably was a hot spring at the end of the cave. The girl was smart at least. The sun was high, so she had plenty of time to get Luna and talk to Rin. The scent of smoke filtered through her nose causing her to sneeze.

“Who’s there?”

“Anna.” she responded with another sneeze.

Rin frowned, she would sense no ill will from her and her necklace seemed to respond nicely to her. When ever she would be in danger it would pulse red. This time it hummed with power and glowed a light blue. Anna walked in and blew gently, causing a soft breeze to blow the smoke out. Rin eyed her, but when she sat down and threw her sword to one side and lifted her hands, as if to make peace.

Rin sat on the other side slightly confused, “Um, how can I help you?”

“ Well I would like you to come with me. Your hanyou is quite depressed.” her icy blue eyes softened as she spoke of Inuyasha.

“ What? No, he can’t be. Not about me.” Rin nibbled down on her bottom lip and held in her tears.

“ Oh he is little one…would you like to see?”

“How?” she asked slightly confused again.

“ Do you have a large bowel?”

“Hai.” she said and gave her a large bowel.

She then somehow filled it with water with a snap of her fingers, mumbled something and dipped her finger in the water. Slowly a picture began to form and it showed Inuyasha curled up in a ball in the god tree. His eyes had deep bags under them, his face tired.

“ I do believe the last night of sleep he had was two days ago when your friend went in to comfort him. He has been quite sick without you.”

Rin’s tears finally fell as her face pitched up and she stared to cry. What had she done?! She had been so selfish she didn’t even think of the damage this could have done to Inuyasha. Having been left three times already, he was probably giving up love. She was so stupid!

“Can you take me back?” she asked through sobs.

“ Of course that is why I am here little one…And I see you still have my necklace?”

“Yours?” Rin asked meekly at the Goddess like creature before her.

“Hai. I gave it to you long ago, you will not age or die any time soon. You had quite the life before you lost you memories. It protects you. It senses danger when you do not. When it is red and you have no one to come and save you, such as now,” Anna gave her a disapproving look, “ hold it tightly and I shall come as fast as I can, more or less in the snap of my fingers.”

Rin nodded, happy to know she had many friends, “ Can we go now?”

With a smile Anna nodded, placed her and on her shoulder and one on the ground and snapped with the one touching Rin’s shoulder. Suddenly they were in a meadow filled with flowers, Rin squealed in delight and dove in.

“We will wait for the Lady of the West.”

“ Inuyasha’s brothers mate? Kagome?”

“ Oh, God no sweetie!” a different voice came threw the forest.

A small woman with silver hair and soft golden eyes smiled at Rin, “ I’m Lady Luna, Sesshomaru’s mother.”

“Oh, I’m sorry.”

“No need to apologize! You don’t really know the government of yokai, no need to fret.” she responded with a smiled and a kiss on the cheek. The woman was warm and motherly.

“Shall we go?” Anna asked.

“Please?” Rin smiled.

Anna nodded, “Jiro!” she called out and then there was a warm breeze out of no where.

Suddenly across the meadow a extremely large snout appeared. Then the body sprouted forward into the sky.

Rin watched in Awe, “ Wow.”

Anna smiled her face beamed with pride, “He is quiet pretty, no?”

There was a scoff from the dragon circling in the sky content to be free from his motionless wait.

“We will go on him and you’ll be back with your hanyou in a day.”

Rin beamed herself and then frowned, “How do we get up there?”

Luna smiled, “ I’ll jump with you!”

“…okay?” she said uneasy.

Luna scooped her up, bent her knees, and jumped. It felt like she was flying in the sky. Thy landed on the top of his snout. They were little bugs compared to his large size. His eyes crossed to look at her and he threw his head up sending them flying onto his back. Lady Luna huffed but said nothing else. Anna had somehow stayed on his nose, relaxing between his eyes. He purred lovingly and moved faster. There was something like a barrier around them because there was not much wind and he was defiantly going faster then Ah-Un.

She snuggled up next to Lady Luna and cuddled the black hair that ran down the dragon’s back to keep warm and slowly drifted into sleep.

Kagome sighed as she cleaned the rooms next to hers and Sesshomaru. She was getting super bored and Sesshomaru was no where to be found. The only times he would appear were when she was going to sleep, and when she bathed.

Sesshomaru had taken a sudden moody behavior after his mother had come by. She always glanced at her tummy like there was something wrong with her. She was on birth control, so no ‘pups’ as he called them would come unexpectedly. She didn’t know what the hell he wanted. She paused as she heard foot steps walk in her direction. She paused and waited for him to grace her with his presence.

He walked up to her and raised an elegant brow.

“ Miko, what are you doing?” he asked his voice mono tone, though his words teasing.

Kagome smiled and giggled, “ Cleaning. You don’t ever entertain me anymore. Your always sulking. About what? Who knows!”

“Sulking? This Sesshomaru does not Sulk.” his face softened slightly, before it turned slightly grim.

Kagome frowned, she adorable face pinching at the brows, “What’s wrong?”

She handed her a letter, apparently from his mother.

Dear Sesshomaru,

I have a feeling your going to use this letter to explain things to your human. So I will speak to her instead of you.

Well, I’m currently tired of having my family reproduce like damned bunnies with humans. I love hanyous don’t get me wrong, love, I just don’t like humans taking the spot light from those who disserve it. And you my dear are stealing the spot light. So, I have changed my will a bit. I have made Inuyasha an active participant in my little game to earn what each disserves.

Part of this game of mine is my precious grandson or daughter. I want a pure blooded heir, but not only that, I want the mother of this child to be the mate of whom ever the father is. You might be thinking about how Inuyasha could give me a full blooded heir? And I have your answer. I never said it couldn’t be pure human. And since the jewel has granted the life of the human children prolonged life it fits perfectly. And as you know you are not Demon, so you cannot give me what I want. There for you must step aside and let Sesshomaru fulfill his duties as the Lord of the West. If not he will only get a simple third of what Inuyasha is to get if he gives me a grandchild first.

Yes, this is a race my beloved human. Put your ego, honor, and pride to aside, or I will move it for you. For if Inuyasha wins this race, after I die, where you live, the land, and everything Sesshomaru prides himself will be lost to a lowly hanyou as he likes to call them. He will get a small patch of land in the south where I live if he loses and he will have to fight for his land again. If he wins he will get to keep everything and a little more, my own personal swords, which will belong to Inuyasha if he keeps it up.

I hope you understand that this is something he has to do, not what he wants to do. Let him have his heir, and he can toss aside his mate, and disgrace his honor and the honor of his family just for you. So, have fun picking out a mate for him!

Lady Luna!

“Oh. Wow.” Kagome said as she let out the breath she had been holding.

“ Yes. She has quite the sense of humor doesn’t she?”

Kagome smiled, “Hai, very witty.”

Sesshomaru’s lips pulled downwards, “Kagome?”

“ I’mma go to bed okay?”

He sighed inwardly and nodded as she locked herself inside their room.
