THE BEGINNING:

 

“Hey Kagome, are you coming?” said one of the girls in a group waiting for her. She came running up over the hill towards the group of girls.

 

Kagome is a girl of 17, not aware of her historic priestess powers. She has dark raven hair, soft sapphire eyes, and a slim petite form. She is the most popular girl in her school, but also one of the brightest.

 

Kagome had caught up to her friends when her cell phone began to go off. Ring…Ring…Ring... “Hey, Kouga!” She said. She knew who it was Kouga never failed to call her every morning just before school.

 

Kouga, the jock who is head over heels in love with Kagome, had gotten the guts up about a year ago to ask her out. To his surprise she had accepted and they have been a couple ever since. They are the envied couple of the school and everyone admires them.

 

“No Kouga, I don't need a ride, I can walk just fine, plus I hate driving with you. Your driving is horrible.” Kagome liked him, but was not about to let the maniac drive her this early in the morning.

 

Kagome and her friends arrived at the school only to be interrupted by the over protective Kouga. He ran up to Kagome and picked her up and gave her a gentle peck on the cheek. She just smiled and gave him a hug in return. He set her back down. Holding hands they began walking into the school.

 

Kouga had his schedule set so that he had all his classes with Kagome. She didn't mind much, but thought that he shouldn't go out of his way so much just for her. It made her friends jealous, but it never got in the way of their friendship. Her friends are loyal to her just as she is to them. They loved the way Kouga treated her.

 

Fourth period was over and it was time for lunch. During lunch Kouga took Kagome and some friends off campus. He always bought lunch for Kagome no matter how much she protested. They had almost an hour for lunch so they would eat then head to the park near the school. They would mess around and play football or soccer. Kouga would swing Kagome on the tire swing.

 

“Hey Kouga, I think I'm going to be sick, you think you could get me off here now?” Kagome was getting dizzy and it was making her sick. She hopped off and would have fallen if it weren't for a pair of strong arms holding her. She got her balance and was almost suffocated by the kiss Kouga was giving her, but she smiled inside and kissed him back.

 

“Hey guys get a room... Come on guys it's time to head back, we don't want to get in trouble.” Their group of friends said almost in unison.

 

“Okay, Kagome let's go!” Kouga said while lifting Kagome up bridal style, and began running towards the others. She laughed then jumped out of his arms and ran ahead. It had turn into a game of tag and he was gaining on her. She was running out of breath and fell ever so gracefully to the ground. Kouga came running up to her and had sat on top of her, pinning her to the ground. He chuckled in his triumph. “I caught you. Now you're mine.” Kagome laughed and to Kouga's surprise she had managed to push him over and she had a head start to the car. “Hey, I thought you said you got me?!” She said panting heavily her back leaned up against the car. She laughed hysterically.

 

When everyone had piled back up in the car they were on their way back to the school. Everyone was satisfied with their break and was not looking forward to going back to school. When they arrived the bell rang and they all went their separate ways to their classes.

 

The final bell rang and school was finally out for the day. Kouga had offered to give Kagome a ride, but she wanted to walk home with her friends.
