From Demons to Dementors

“one” they heard a whisper from the other side of the door

“two” Kagome was not happy about this little count down, especially mixed with the power they had, she decided to take matters into her own hands.

I wasn't going to do it but you pushed me to Kagome thought tiredly. Souta was looking a little frazzled at the thought of their first meeting but he would not have to wait much longer

“three!” she whispered and grinned as her eyes flashed red. the big door swung open to reveal four middle aged men with sticks pointed at them. The closest one within range was Lupin and he had his wand pointed at Kagome's heart but that didn't matter because she had both her swords out. One pointed at his heart and the other was drawn up against her own throat, her eyes flashed red and she grinned, licking her lips.

“ahhh! Guys stop it!” Souta yelled frantically but they just ignored him

“go ahead, kill me” Kagome whispered in a smooth voice but lupin remained silent

“hmmmm lets think this out shall we? You do some sort of mumbo jumbo with your stick, I rip through your weak human heart before you finish saying the magic words, you bleed to death, then I pull my sword out of your lifeless corpse, wiping the blood off on your nice shirt.” Kagome said in a low seductive voice

“but what about the three fully trained wizards behind me?” Lupin asked equally quiet. Kagome smiled

“that's what this is for” she ran her other sword against her throat, making a paper thin cut along it. Lupin watched as a thin line of blood dripped from the wound.

“I don't understand” he said simply

“Kagome stop it!” Souta begged his sister but she ignored him

“I suppose you wouldn't, typical human” she sighed

“that's the problem with playing with mortals these days, they just don't make them like they used to” Kagome continued talking to herself while the voices in her head chuckled

“why don't you enlighten us then” Lupin said a little shakily. Sighing again Kagome decided a little information would do them good

“if I cut my throat what do you think will happen?” she asked as if she was teaching a small child

“Kagome!” Souta was trying to pull her away, but she just kicked him aside.

“I would guess that you would kill your self, am I correct?” Lupin continued with the conversation after giving Souta a glance

“hmmm you might be” she teased, deciding that it was a waste of time to teach them the ways of blood.

“Professor Lupin please put down your wand! You too Kagome, put down your weapons, stop fighting!” Souta yelled at them. Lupin looked at Souta before slowly lowering his wand and putting it back in his robe. Kagome also glanced at Souta but did not lower her swords.

“you would leave your self defenseless at the whims of an untrained child?” kagome asked

“would you attack and possibly kill an unarmed man?” Lupin asked hoping that she was honorable. Kagome made a quick slash and then sheathed her swords.

“of course, it hasn't stopped me before” was all she said. Lupin put his hand to his cheek and felt wetness, drawing it back in front of his face he saw a smudge of blood on his fingertips, his eyes widened. Thunder clashed out side followed by a flash of lightning.

“oh you poor dears! Just look at you, your soaked through to the bone!” Mrs.weasley shoved past Lupin with fresh, dry towels in her arms, spoiling the moment. Lupin looked back over his shoulder to see every one was in the room and only moody and Sirius had their wands still out. Mrs. weasley pulled Souta and Kagome into the house and shut the door.

“oh your all wet! Here let me help” she wrapped Souta in a large fluffy towel and then threw a big pink one over Kagome's head. Souta saw this and burst out laughing.

“oh…..oh...this is too great! Behold the almighty and powerful Kagome! Not so scary are you now huh!” he laughed hysterically. Kagome glared at him from under the towel. She ripped it off and whacked him upside the head with her sheathed sword.

“owwwwww” he howled and rubbed his head

“damn it Kagome you didn't have to hit me with your sword!” he yelled and pouted, making a face at her. Kagome ignored him looking around and checking her surroundings.

Hmmm let's see, 4 grown males, 2 grown females, 2 boys and 2girsl……not much defense……but a large house……too many places to check…too many places for things to hide…I hate when they hide. She broke out of her thoughts when she felt most of the attention on her self.

“and you are?” Mrs.Weasley asked. Kagome looked at her and frowned

she has a caring heart, you should stay away from her, you don'twant them to get attached to you incase youhave to kill themthe male voice purred in her head

Souta opened his mouth to answer but was cut off with a swift wave of Kagome's hand

“Kagome” she said coldly, schooling her emotions and pushing back the voices

“Kagome, what a beautiful name!” Mrs. weasley cooed not noticing Kagome flinch or the lack of a last name.

“well introductions are to be made after you go upstairs and get changed into dry clothes, then we can all sit around the fireplace and you can have some supper” she went to shove Kagome up stairs but Kagome evaded it and glared at her

“I would appreciate it if you would all refrain from touching me” Kagome said glaring at everyone with cold steel in her voice

“oh!” Mrs. Weasley was startled

“oh, ah, oh course! …ah well then, your room is the 3rd door on the left, souta you have the same as Ron and Harry ok?”

“yeah that's fine” Souta said sadly, thinking of Kagome. He turned, noticing that Kagome was already gone and walked up the stairs with his trunks. A few minutes later Mrs. Weasley had herded every one into the living room for some tea, waiting for Souta and Kagome to come down. With every one settled, the madness began.

“How do we know she isn't going to kill us in our sleep! Huh?” Moody barked

“what if she's one of HIS followers!” Sirius growled back

“are we even safe here any more?” said Tonks

“How do we know she's not crazy! You all saw how she handled Lupin” moody barked again

“You don't” said a quiet, emotionless voice from the corner. They all jumped and turned to see Kagome in a chair furthest from the fire, furthest from the light, furthest from…the door.

How did she get there with out us noticing her? They all thought at the same time

“you don't know any of that and nothing I say or do will change your opinion on the matter” Kagome stood up and walked slowly and silently towards them.

“you'll never know. in the past I have been insane, I have betrayed, I have killed” she took another step, slowly walking into the light, reveling her figure.

“for all you know I could just run you through with my swords right here and now and not think twice on it” she said coming fully into the light and unsheathing one of her swords. They all stiffened and a few of them rose, ready to pull out their wands.
