AN- last chapter was a funny one and this one is just kind of a filler but the next one will be very important so pay attention my little readers!

From Demons to Dementors

The cab stopped abruptly and jerked kagome out of her thoughts

“were here now so please leave...twitch….. and…..and…. never bother me again!...crazy…..twitch” the driver ran out the car and chucked their trunks out of the back and on to the grass, leaping back into his car he locked his doors and speed away faster then he had ever driven before, mumbling about new medication and never drinking again. Leaving kagome and souta out on the side of the road with their trunks a couple feet back. Looking around they found they were in some abandoned park, kagome looked to souta hoping that he knew where he was, shaking his head he went a gathered their trunks and brought them back to stand next to kagome.

“well at least it cant get any worse” souta joked. No sooner had he said it, the heavens decided to open up and let a flood of rain pour from the sky. Glaring at souta she looked to the sky to find the placement of the sun to tell the time. Souta noticing what she was doing slowly inched away as he knew it was just after sunset and it would be completely dark soon.

(AN- I know, I know, totally cliché)

“oh souta……” kagome said it a sing-songy voice.

“well look at the bright side….” Souta started

“WHAT bright side? There is no bright side” kagome sat down on a bench deciding that it was futile to try and stay dry for she was already soaked to the bone.

“NOW it cant get any worse” souta grinned and sat next to her.

“BOOM, CRACK, CRASH!” thunder shook the earth as kagome glared at him again shortly followed by a bright blinding flash that lit up the entire park for a split second.

“oh how I love you my little brother! come here so i can give you a hug to show just how much i love you” kagome smiled sweetly(AN-i say that to my brother like 6 times a day )

“ah heh heh heh…now, now kagome let try to figure out what were going to do ok?” souta slowly made his way back to the bench. For a good half an hour they sat in the rain, silently contemplating where to go from here. They couldn't just up and ask where the wizard house was. they were on there own for the time being.

“I got it!” kagome stood up, grinning at her brilliance.

“souta do wizards have a certain aura?” kagome asked

“ahh let me see…hmm yeah I think they do” souta was still a little confused but knew that kagome would find some way to make things right.

“what to they feel like?” kagome asked

“ummm kinda like mikos and monks but not….i mean… they feel like magic but not pure…but also not tainted….ummm ..hmm….like a low level yokai but not with the demonic aura…ahhh…man this is hard” souta stumbled trying to describe the feeling of a wizards aura.

“don't worry souta I think I got it, I was wondering what that power was for a while now” she smiled and helped him up

“huh?” souta was confused

“about 7 miles south of here is a small power source, like a group of people” kagome turned and faced the direction that she felt the wizard house.

“you up for a walk? I wonder how out of shape you are?” kagome teased

“hey I'm not out of shape! And I'll do any thing to get out of this weather” souta grabbed his trunks and waited for kagome to lead the way.

“ok souta it's about 7 miles that way” she pointed to a road and started walking that way, trunks in hand.

“ok sis” he followed behind looking worriedly at the sky.

“he kag, I think I should get out my wand, I mean is kind of dark out and I cant really see” souta fumbled with his bag before he felt a hand on his arm.

“don't worry about it souta, I can see just fine so just hold my hand and we'll be there in like 30 minutes” kagome started walking again so souta had no choice but to keep up.

“but how can you see in this dark?” souta asked

“all those years in the feudal era, do you think we had flash lights or street lights…no, so I had to learn how to see in the darkest of darks” kagome sped up a bit at the thought of a warm bath and dry clothes. Well it's sort of true she thought guiltily. They were quiet the rest of the walk as they listened to the sound of the thunder and rain. Kagome suddenly stopped and looked at the large house with doubt.

“so this is the great and wonderful house of black! It looks like a crap shack to me" she shrugged, slowly walking up the path to the door and rung the door bell.

~on the other side of the door 5 min earlier~

Mrs.Wheesly (AN- shit I know I spelled her name wrong! Any one want to send me the correct spelling for Mrs.W ! it would be greatly appreciated) and Tonks were in the kitchen making supper while every one else was in the living room anxiously waiting for souta and his friend to appear. Lupin looked out the window and frowned at the weather. It was getting late and there was no sign of them, the storm was getting worse and there were no signs of it letting up or souta and his friend coming. They were starting to give up hope that they would come tonight, when Sirius heard a noise outside.

“what the hell was that?” he whispered and ran to the window to see.

“damn! I can't see anything!” Sirius grumbled

“it's too dark to see anything, we would know if it was some one, they would need some form of light to get here” Lupin had come up behind him.

“hmmmmm….I guess your right” Sirius walked back to his chair as Mrs.wheesly came into the room with a tray of biscuits for every one.

“DING DONG DING DONG….DONG DING DING DONG” the old chime rang through the quiet house

“Ahhhh!” Mrs.Wheasly jumped and dropped the plated with a crash.

“is it them?” she asked shakily from the floor, picking up the shards of glass

“Sirius, Lupin , Moody and Mr. Wheesly took out their wands and made their way to the front door.

“the rest of you stay here!” Lupin whispered before disappearing behind the door.

“DING DONG DING DONG….DONG DING DING DONG” the bell rung again. The wizards looked at each other.

“OH JUST OPEN THE GOD DAMNED DOOR ALREADY!” a voice yelled from out side making the wizards falter.

“on the count of three” Sirius said slowly approaching the door as they all nodded, wands ready

“one….”

“two…”

“three!” Sirius whispered

~back on other side of the door 3min earlier~

“I still say it looks like a crap shack” kagome grumbled because she was hungry, wet and tired (AN-come on people give her a break…I mean jet lag …its gotta be like a 8 hr difference or something…if you give me the time difference between ENGLAND and JAPAN I'll give you a cookie)

kagome looked towards a window as the curtain was moved and some one peaked out frustrated that they could not see because of the weather and the dark. Kagome smirked, ahhh so their waiting for us…hmm..this should be fun…yes the element of surprise, but on the other hand….. she thought happily. She decided that she was too wet to do any thing too ….what's the word……murderous?...sinister? whatever, so she settled with just ringing the door bell. she wasn't expecting a loud chime to ring through the quiet house making it seem louder than it really was. groaning she rubbed her wet forehead and smirked when she heard a plate shatter and the surprised yelp of a older woman. Her grin got wider when she sensed the apprehension, curiousness and fear coming from the people in the house. Things just keep getting better and better kagome and souta thought at the same time when they both felt the power behind the door, the wizards were getting ready, ready for an unknown power, a power that was her.

Ringing the bell again, she was hoping that they got the message "we want to come in" soon, she was getting kind of cold, she had endured much colder but come on! it doesn't mean she enjoys sitting in the cold rain for hours in the dark.

That's it, my patience is gone she thought angrily

“OH JUST OPEN THE GOD DAMNED DOOR ALREADY!” she yelled

after some rustling around she finally heard some foot steps coming closer to the door.

oh this is going to be so much fun! kagome smiled at the plan already forming in her evil little head.

“one” the heard a whisper from the other side of the door

“two” kagome was not happy about this little count down especially mixed with the power they had, she decided to take matters into her own hands. I wasn't going to do it but you pushed me to kagome thought tiredly. Souta was looking a little frazzled at the thought of their first meeting but he would not have to wait much longer

“three!” she whispered and grinned as her eyes flashed red.

AN- ah ha! so we have finally come to the "crossing of paths" as i like to call it. things should get crazy from here...well i mean more crazy then it already is...not that i'm crazy or anything...twitch...crazy? puhh not me...twitch...I KNOW NOTHING!...twitch...lack of coffee is taking its toile on me...must regain life force at local Dunkin Donuts!...strength failing...senses dulling...cant see, cant breath, cant ...think...must go on...to write more chapters...or readers will hunt me down and kill me while i sleep...not that i'm paranoid or anything...CUZ IM NOT!...(slowly glances around and runs out of ...where ever the hell here is)
