Ghostly Love

Kanna looked up towards the stars and wished she was a little girl again. Back then she could see the stars so brightly. But now, centuries later they were clouded… She sighed and went back inside her apartment.

The phone rang and she answered it with her monotone voice.

- Dear sister, are you alright? asked Kagura on the other end.

- Yes, why do you ask?

- I just felt a wave of … something.

- Don't worry sis, I am ok, said Kanna and looked out the window again.

- Shit sis, you need to get over him, scolded Kagura.

- I know I should but I can not. He is all over my brain and memory.

- He was just a half demon, he is not around anymore, said Kagura.

- I know, I just can not…

- It's ok little sister… Call me later ok?

- Ok oneesan.. said Kanna and hanged up.

"He was just a half demon… " her sister's words hanged over her head. "No, No, I refuse to believe it. He is still out there I am sure of it. I can feel it." She went into the bathroom and took a quick shower. It was Saturday night and she wanted to get out of her apartment. She dressed herself in a white silk dress and put a white cape over her shoulders. Everything to add to the ghost-title she already had. She had turned from one little shy girl to a slim young woman. Her white hair reached her knees and she braided it to have it out of the way. She put her eternal white flower behind her right ear. She smiled softly and got out of her apartment, heading towards her favourite place - Hecate's basement. It was a good place for odd people like her to gather. She knew several demons often met there, not that she would participate in any of their meetings, but she knew they were there. She would just sit there and listen to the dark music and drink her small drinks and forget who she really was.

She got her usual table in the darkest corner of the gothic pub, only one candle lit up the place, but it was enough for her. She ordered a vodka lime from the waiter and she sat down. She recognized several people; she smiled when she saw the wolf demon Kouga make a scene about some male looking at his woman. "You will never change will you Kouga-san?" she thought and paid for her drink.

Kouga was actually one of the reasons she came to Hecate's basement. If the wolf prince was here, maybe he would come here too? Ask the wolf about the hanyou? Out of the question, she did not want to hear the answer - especially not if he was dead, she was not able to live with that answer. She was not even sure that anyone paid any attention to her being at all at this place. She would just sit there and drink and yearn for her secret love.

In contrast to what Kanna may have believed, her presence was surely noticed by several persons in the club. Kouga had been utterly surprised the first time she had appeared in the basement, but she seemed peaceful enough and he let her be. And then he saw her come back over and over, and every time it looked like she was searching for something, someone. "Jerk face, may be she wants to get away like every other demon you know." Said a voice inside his face and he remember the hanyou that used to hang around his woman. Inuyasha, where the fuck was he now by the way?

Kanna sipped at her drink and blushed lightly when she saw the wolf prince gaze. "Please Kami, don't let him come over here." she prayed. And her prayer was heard because the wolf turned her back against her again. "Thank you Kami." She praised and ordered in a new drink to her self.

As the night went on people came and people went. As for Kanna, she was thinking about leaving too. It had been way too long for her this night and she had one drink too many she thought as she stood up on wobbly feet. "Who cares anyway?" She took her cape and put it around her shoulder and began walking towards the door when someone grabbed her arm and pulled her around.

- May I have this dance? asked a deep rough voice.

Kanna looked at the person who dared ask a ghost to dance with him and her breath was caught in her throat and she nodded like she was in a trance.
