"He is alive… He is alive.." She looked into those golden eyes she had dreamt of so long and she was lost again. She felt his right arm encircle her waist and he took her hand with the other.

- Kanna, it has been a long time since we saw each other, he said and looked into her black eyes.

- Yes, it has Inuyasha, she answered and blushed under his heated gaze

- You have grown to be quite a beauty, indeed you have, he snickered.

- I am only a ghost to most people.

- A very beautiful ghost then.

- I got a call from your sister the other day; she told me some very interesting things?

Kanna was ready to sink through the floor with embaressment. And she was a bit surprised too, she had no idea that Kagura had been searching for Inuyasha too.

- She is very worried about you Kanna, very worried.

- I know, but she has no reason to be. I am capable enough to take care of myself, said Kanna and looked hurt.

- I am sure you are, but I don't think she was thinking about that… So you have been searching for me?

Kanna blushed deeply and looked away from his face. But Inuyasha put a hand under her chin and made her look back at him.

- Please tell me, why have you been searching for me?

- I wanted to know if you still existed, she answered truthfully.

- Why did you not ask Kouga or Kagome? They knew where I was.

- Because I was afraid to get the wrong answer from them. I am not sure I am able to live with the knowledge of your death Inuyasha-san, she said shyly.

- For how long have you been feeling like this Kanna-chan? asked Inuyasha and took her outside the club.

- As long as I can remember. From the moment I became a woman I guess.

- You must have been a woman for a few centuries now… have you not?

She nodded and looked up towards the stars.

- And you have been looking for me all this time? Why?

- I rather not answer that question, she whispered.

He cupped her face and made her look into his eyes again. He could see tears in her black eyes and his heart broke. This was the emotionless girl he had known in the past, but she was all grown up and she was no longer without emotions. And he could see that his appearance had her upset, but she refused to show any of it. But her dark eyes, yes her eyes told him everything he needed to know.

- I have been looking for a mate for a long time now, but I have not found anyone who was suitable, not until tonight, he said.

- Ohh, I hope you too will be happy together, said Kanna and felt her heart sink to the bottom of her stomach. "He is alive, that is enough for me."

- I am sure we will, if she will have me that is.

- Why should she not want you? You are a very handsome, gorgeous and strong male, she said with a heated voice.

- You really think so Kanna-chan? he smiled brightly.

Kanna stuttered out an excuse and blushed. She began walking towards her apartment, but Inuyasha would not let her walk alone, he followed her.

- So you think I am gorgeous?

- You know what you are Inuyasha-san, she pouted, embarrassed that he had made her flame out like that.

- So what have you been doing to make your way through the centuries?

- Scare people half to death, she said and smiled shyly.

- O really? Sounds like a nasty kind of work, he chuckled and laid his arm around her shoulder and pulled her close.

Kanna felt the warmth from his arm and she melted on the spot. All she wanted was to stay in his arms forever.

- Say Kanna-chan, where do you live?

- Not far from here, I found an old house and I have managed to do some repairs to it so I can live there. Thanks to oneesan's advice I have been able to get me a small fortune from stockholdings.

- Good, I work for Sess, you know my older brother, the cold scumbag.

- Yes I remember Sesshoumaru-sama.

- Keh, -sama nothing. But he pays well, said Inuyasha.

- So what do you do?

- I get to demolish things, when he needs to clean out a building he calls me, said Inuyasha and flexed his right hand to show off his claws.

- Oh I understand.

They walked in silence until they reached her house. Inuyasha understood why she could scare people away, it was a ghostly house, and seeing her in one of the windows, hell even he would piss his pants.

- Inuyasha-san, why did you follow me home? Should you not be courting your intended mate? she asked and unlocked the door.

- I thought I already did that… "My dear Kanna, are you really this uncertain of your own potential?"

- W-what? Kanna almost fell over but Inuyasha took hold of her hand.

- Have you not looked in the mirror? You are a very beautiful woman Kanna.

- I don't have a mirror anymore, I don't like them.

- Bad memories huh?

- Something like that.

- But you are still very beautiful.

- I am just a ghost, she whispered and walked into the hallway.

She took off her cape and was surprised when Inuyasha took it from her and laid it over a chair. She looked into his golden eyes and she was about to melt into a puddle of white goo when he pulled her close to his form. She was amazed by the way he had grown, he was strong and handsome and all male. A male who currently had her in a strong grip.
