Chapter 1: I Hate Men
Disclaimer: Don't own any of the characters except for Denise, nor do I own the story Inuyasha. Although I do wish Sesshomaru were mine, and one day he will be.
All I gotta do is fall down an enchanted well right?
"Hey babe, waz up?"
Denise Nishi glared with death in her eyes at the wanna be black punk.
"Get away from me," she said with pure ice in her words.
The punk's eyes got wide, "Uh-uh, Bye!" then he ran.
Denise rolled her eyes. All men are alike. As soon as they know she is no easy lay they loose all interest in her, and she likes it that way.
She looked up at her knew High School.
"Wow! It's big."
Denise had come from America. She is fluent in Japanese, and her parents were born in Japan. Her parents had been planning to move back since Denise was a child, but never had enough money for the move.
A few weeks ago, Mr. Nishi ran off with a girl not half his age. He had been seeing many women younger than his wife for years, but Mrs. Nishi was too much in love with him to divorce him. Now he has divorced her.
Mrs. Nishi took the risk and moved to Japan to get away from the memory of Mr. Nishi. Mrs. Nishi was going to change her last name, but waits awhile before undergoing yet another change in her life. She is now working as a maid for hotels.
Denise told her father right before she left, "I hate you. You're scum, and I never want to see you again!"
If your father turns his back on your mother and you, wouldn't you become a little untrustworthy of guys? Well, Denise thought if your father is bad, then all men are bad.
Ding-Ding! Class was about to begin, and Denise didn't know where the office was. She went into the school to try and find it. Pretty soon she was lost.
She tapped a girl on the shoulder, "Excuse me, where's the office?"
The girl turned and pointed, "It's down the hall. Last door on your left."
"Thanks."
Denise speed walked to the office, hoping against hope the bell wouldn't ring.
Ding-Dong! No such luck.
She walked up to the receptionist, "Hi, I'm Denise Nishi. I'm new here and I need my schedule."
The receptionist smiled, "Well hello Denise, welcome to Japan. How do you like it here?"
Denise shrugged, "It takes awhile to get used to, but it's okay."
The receptionist gave Denise her schedule along with a map of the school.
"As you've probably noticed, it's easy to get lost around here. The map helps, but the school thinks it's better if a guide is with you too. A nice, young gentleman will be your welcoming buddy, until you get the hang of things."
Denise frowned, "I think I can handle it."
The receptionist shook her head, "Trust me, you'll need a guide. Hojo will be more than willing to help you."
Denise sighed, "So where is he?"
The receptionist quirked her eyebrow, "He's standing right beside you."
Denise glared to her right, "Oh, hi."
"Hello! My name is Hojo, and I will be your guide for as long as you need me."
Hojo was okay in looks. Brown hair, short stature, all in all pretty plain looking. His personality, shy, yet enthusiastically loud.
"Hi, I'm Denise. The new girl."
Hojo kept smiling, even though she obviously didn't give a good impression.
"Follow me to first period," he said as he started to walk away.
Denise rolled her eyes, but followed. Oh great, the happy, jolly boy is in my first class, and I'm not a morning person. After a second, she thought about something.
"So…how many classes do we have together?" she asked, fearing the answer.
"Hmm? Oh, all of them."
Denise crossed her eyes, "You're joking."
"Nope," Hojo didn't see her face "Isn't this going to be exciting?"
"Exciting isn't the word for it."
Denise massaged her temples. This is going to be a long day.
