Chapter One: Dreams
"Bye guys! I should be back in a few days!" Kagome's voice called back from the well.
"Good bye Kagome! See you soon!" Sango called, waving bye to her friend.
"Piu!" Kirara cried from next to Sango, waving her tails.
"Mphhhmpffft," Inuyasha said, face full of dirt from being sat a few times.
"Bring me back some Pocky!" Shippou yelled whilst jumping up and down.
Miroku laughed at the young kitsune, but then shouted, "Me too!"
Kagome smiled as she jumped down the well and was transported back to her era. 'I'm really gonna miss them,' she thought as she climbed up out of the well, walked out of the well house, and then made her way towards the front door of the shrine. For once Kagome really hadn't wanted to leave them, but she had to get some studying done, a very important Geometry exam was coming up, and if she missed it she was for sure not going to pass. And considering she got, hmmmm… ZERO studying done in the feudal era, she had to force herself to come back to her own time. 'Kinda funny,' she thought, 'forcing myself to come home, be with my family, and go to school with all my friends.'
"Hello Kagome! How long will you be home this time?" her mother asked as soon as she walked into the kitchen.
"A few days at least Mom, I have that Geometry test I have to study for," Kagome replied, stopping to give her mom a quick hug.
"Hojou stopped by yesterday with all the notes you missed," her mother told her.
"Oh, um, I better get to studying then, so uh, if he drops by again, tell him thanks and that I'm… busy," Kagome said while running upstairs to her room.
"Alright honey, study well!" her mom yelled up to her.
"Phew," Kagome said, closing the door behind her, "The last thing I need is Hojou stopping by to give me more treatments for my "sicknesses", considering I don't even know what Grandpa's been saying."
~*~Brief Daydream~*~
"Oh, uh, hello Hojou!" Kagome stuttered.
"Hello Kagome! I heard about your terrible yeast infection, so I brought you some medicine!" Hojou said cheerfully.
Kagome sweatdropped.
Hojou then handed her a few boxes of Monistat 3. "There are directions inside if you-"
Kagome's grandfather chose that exact moment to walk out and grab what Hojou had been trying to give Kagome.
"Oh, what's this?" he asked, looking the box over, "Some food to help with your sickness?"
Suddenly Kagome was unable to speak. She could only watch as her grandfather opened the package and took out all of the things inside. Luckily, he unfolded the direction pamphlet and read that first before trying to eat anything.
Hojou transformed into a large pink bunny and he picked up Kagome and her grandpa and hopped off to America where they became superheroes!

"What was I thinking about again?" Kagome said. She set her backpack down next to her desk, glanced at the 3-foot high stack of notes, and then collapsed on her bed.
"Oh bed," Kagome said wistfully, "How I have missed you so. Your soft fluffiness soothes me like nothing else. Oh how I wish you could be with me always." The afternoon sun drifted into her room through the window, lighting it softly and making it seem dreamlike. 'Dream,' Kagome thought, 'what a good idea.' The exhaustion of the feudal era caught up with her, and she fell asleep.

"You really shouldn't try to stop her from leaving Inuyasha," Miroku said as he picked his friend up off the ground, "You know this will happen every single time."
"Shut up monk," Inuyasha said, brushing dirt off of his clothes.
"He's right though Inuyasha," Shippou said, "It's almost as if you LIKE it when Kagome punishes you. Aaaaaaaah!"
Sango hastily picked Shippou up before Inuyasha could do him much more harm. "The same could be said of you Shippou, you know better than to say things like that to Inuyasha," Sango said to the little kitsune.
"I forgot Kagome wasn't here to sit him again," Shippou pouted as he hesitantly felt the bump on top of his head.
"You little-" Inuyasha said, ready to hit Shippou again.
"Both of you, stop it NOW," Miroku said forcefully, causing everyone to look at him strangely.
"Sorry Miroku," Shippou said quietly, slipping down from Sango's arms and then walking slowly towards Kaede's hut.
"Piu," Kirara cried softly. She then scampered off after Shippou.
"Um, yeah," Inuyasha said, also leaving.
"Miroku, what's wrong?" Sango asked, looking at the monk worriedly.
"Huh? What?" Miroku asked, smiling cheerfully at her.
"You just, it was, don't you remember?" Sango asked, getting even more worried.
"Remember what? I'm sorry, I'm awfully tired, I could have just drifted off," Miroku said, rubbing the back of his head nervously.
Sango studied him for a little while. 'He really doesn't know,' she decided. "Let's head back to the village," she said, smiling at Miroku.
"Of course my dear Sango, whatever you say," Miroku said with a smile. The two then headed into the village.

"Kagome, dinner's done!" Kagome's mother called up to her daughter.
"Hm? But it's only like 2 o'clock," Kagome mumbled, half asleep. "Wait, what?!" she exclaimed, sitting up quickly. She looked around her room, and sure enough, her room was barely lit up by the setting sun. "Wonderful!" Kagome said as left her room and went downstairs. "I wasted hours of studying time!"
"Did you sleep well honey?" her mom asked as Kagome sat down at the dinner table.
"You knew I was asleep?! How come you didn't wake me up Mom!" Kagome asked her mom, getting a little bit angry
"I'm sorry honey, but you needed it, so don't be angry," her mom told her softly.
Kagome sighed. "You're right mom, I'm sorry, thanks for being so understanding," Kagome said, and then hastily began eating. "I've missed your food so much Mom, you have NO idea," Kagome said with her mouth full.
Her family just smiled at her, slightly disturbed, yet glad that Kagome was home.
