Author's Notes: I'm happy! I posted chapter one and like, 3 minutes later I got my first review on it, even though ff.net was being really stupid for me. Yay! So, time for Chapter Two, *grins evilly* this is going to be SO much fun. This would have been posted like, a week ago, but I had internet difficulties. It's here now though!

Chapter One Recap:

Dreams

Kagome goes back to her time to study for a very important Geometry test. After a brief daydream, she falls asleep. Back in the Feudal Era Miroku experiences a brief moment of weirdness. Kagome wakes up from her nap and eats dinner.

Chapter Two: Nightmares

Miroku sat up. He had been pretending to sleep for an hour, waiting for Shippou and Sango to doze off. Now he finally had his chance.

He walked slowly up to Shippou and nudged him softly. "Hey Shippou, wake up," Miroku whispered.

"Whyyyyy," Shippou whined softly.

"I found Kagome's secret Pocky stash," Miroku lied, knowing this would get the kitsune up.

"Really?!" Shippou cried a little too loudly.

Miroku quickly shushed him, and then gestured for Shippou to follow him. They left Kaede's hut and started to walk to the well.

"Of course she would hide it around here," Shippou whispered to himself, "She could have easily stashed some everytime she came back here without any of us seeing." He continued to mutter to himself as they drew closer to the well.

"It's just through those trees past the well Shippou," Miroku said, "See that tree with the broken branch? There's a box of Strawberry Pocky hidden in a hole in its trunk."

Shippou started running towards it as soon as Miroku finished.

'Perfect,' Miroku thought. "Did you find it Shippou?" Miroku called to his young friend.

"Sure did! Woohoo!" Shippou squealed.

Miroku could distinctly hear the sounds of Shippou eating the Pocky, and knew that now was his chance. He walked slowly towards Shippou, loosening the beads around his right hand as he drew closer. "Shippou," he whispered when he was just feet away from the kitsune.

Shippou looked up at Miroku happily. His gaze then shifted to Miroku's right hand, which was slowly being raised in his direction. "Miroku, what are you-" Shippou said, frightened.

"Shhhhh," Miroku said, "It won't hurt." He then opened Kazaana, and in a matter of seconds, Shippou was gone, along with a few trees in the surrounding area.

'Not even a scream,' Miroku thought as he walked back towards Kaede's hut.

Miroku looked back once more at the forest. 'You can't even tell there are trees missing,' he thought, smiling as he turned back around. "Now for my dear, dear Sango," Miroku said, his voice sounding venomous.

"No!" Miroku yelled, shooting up off the floor.

"Miroku? What's wrong? Are you okay?" Sango asked worriedly as she rushed over to the distressed monk.

"You're okay, good," Miroku panted, "Shippou! Where's Shippou?!"

"He's right over there Miroku, next to Kirara," Sango whispered, nodding her head over to where Shippou was still asleep.

Miroku laughed softly. 'He's alive,' he thought, 'Thank God.' "He could sleep through a youkai attack," Miroku said light-heartedly.

Sango forced a laugh, "Yeah, he probably could, and I'm pretty sure he has actually…" She shook her head. "Miroku," she said, "What happened? Why did you yell like that? Did you have a nightmare or… or what?"

Miroku looked up at her. It probably wouldn't be a good idea to tell anyone that he dreamt he killed Shippou. They would ask him lots of questions, and Shippou would probably be afraid of him. "I guess you could say that," Miroku said, choosing his words carefully.

"Do you want to talk about it or anything?" Sango asked, gently placing her hand over the Miroku's, which was gripping his robes tightly.

Now of course Miroku wasn't going to not take advantage of a time like this. "Oh Sango!" he cried, putting his arms around her and pulling her to him, much to her surprise, "It was terrible! The time had come for you to choose your husband, and instead of me, you chose Shippou!" Miroku sobbed here, for effect. "Then," he said, "Then at your wedding, I had to be the maid of honor!" His hand slowly slid down Sango's back, and when it was almost down to it's goal… *Thunk*

Sango had somehow managed to grab Hiraikotsu and hit Miroku over the head with it. She stood up and walked away from him furiously, then lay down on the floor to go back to sleep.

"You are quite limber Sango dear," Miroku whispered before he laid back down as well. He chuckled as he closed his eyes, completely forgetting about the dream he had just minutes before.

"Okay," Kagome said out loud to her empty room. "It is now 8:30, which gives me 2 ½ hours of studying! No, 3 ½, because I took a nap earlier!" She clapped her hands and sat at her desk, ready to attack her notes. After staring at them for a few minutes, she blinked twice. "No!" she yelled, "I must study!" She picked up the first paper, which had lots of numbers and little Xs and Ys and graphs and then even MORE numbers. She read through the introduction, attempting to understand whatever all this crap meant. "Well, I don't understand that one bit," Kagome said, her eyes scanning the second page of notes. "Weird," she said quietly as she looked at a huge, complicated-looking graph on the page, "It looks like it spells 'Miroku'…" She shook her head quickly. "I must be tired!" she said loudly, "I will sleep some more!" Kagome set the notes down and grabbed her pajamas to change into. "Well," she wondered out loud, "I suppose I should take a bath first, considering I'm really not that sleepy at all…"

"Aaaaaah," Kagome groaned, leaning back into the tub, her hair held up securely in a towel. "One of the things I miss the most in the feudal era is being able to take a loooong, hot, bath every day." Kagome giggled, "At least without having to worry about anyone peeping." 'Although,' Kagome thought, 'everything else kinda makes up for it. Sango and Kirara are always there if I need to talk about boys or school or family or just about anything. Miroku's there if we need some comedic relief. Shippou's there for me to take care of if I ever start to feel insignificant.' Kagome sighed. "And Inuyasha's there to piss me off," she said quietly. "No," she said, immediately regretting ever saying something like that, "Inuyasha's there to take care of all of us. To protect us. And we're there to do the same for him." Kagome smiled slightly and after stretching out in the water once more, she sat up and got out of the tub.

After drying off and getting changed, Kagome sat down at her desk, hoping maybe, MAYBE, she'd be able to study. "No way," Kagome said, setting her notes back down on her desk. 'Ugh, what's this feeling,' Kagome thought, rubbing her stomach. "I hope I'm not actually getting sick…" she said, "Although… then I wouldn't have to take the Geometry test…" 'And then you would FAIL,' her conscience yelled at her. "Yeeeaaaaah," Kagome said, "But I'm still gonna go to bed now. It's probably just me freaking out over this test. Maybe I'll feel better in the morning." She then snuggled into her bed and fell fast asleep.
