Head to the past, to save the future

Chapter 4

 

Still feeling hot and flustered Linzi blushed again as she stepped out of the cold river and dried off, her mind coming to grasps with what Lucretia had told her while she was out cold that morning.

 

My life has gotten so much worse! This heat is going to be the death of me, I just know it. I kinda feel sorry for Sesshoumaru though, it'll hit him the worst when he's trying to help dad train me. I'll just play everything by ear, no way I'm gonna rush this along.

 

Letting out a heavy sigh Linzi slipped into her underwear and quickly donned a sleeveless cream kimono that stopped at mid thigh and was held together with a black obi with golden flowers and vines stitched into it. Slipping on her comfy sandals she gathered her things and headed back to camp, to see that everyone had nearly packed up and was getting ready to leave. With brush in hand she headed to her father, who silently braided her long hair before heading off.

 

All these changes are hitting dad the hardest. I know how much he leans on me, even if he doesn't say anything. I can't really blame him, I've done the same since I've been with him. I'll have to talk to him.

 

Half an hour later they were all back on the road again, or path in their case, as they trudged close together through the thick forest they had just entered, which surrounded the base of the mountain where the demon sword smith Totosai lived. Walking at the back this time with her father by her side Linzi was quick to see that Hotaru wasn't present, but could easily pick up her aura from further behind them in the trees.

 

“Hey dad?” Linzi broke in as she moved closer to him, her voice dropping lower so the others could not hear. At his grunt she carried on. “Why is Hotaru not walking with us? What did you do with her the other night?”

 

Growling at being reminded of the shouting match then beating with the bitch Mamoru gave her a curt reply before quickly changing the subject. “She stepped out of line so I disciplined her. How are you feeling now Linzi? Any urges yet?”

 

Groaning about being reminded about that again Linzi couldn't stop the deep blush that stained her cheeks at his later question and looked away. With a prod in the side from her father she growled in annoyance and finally mumbled her reply.

 

“Its like being constantly aroused dad. Every time I even think about Sesshoumaru it worsens. I don't think him training me is a good idea. He maybe strong but he's still a male, and no matter how cold and detached he looks my heat and the season combined will be hell on him.”

 

It'll just be like Naraku to attack now, when we're like this.

 

Mamoru could only sympathise with her at how she was feeling. Even though he was a couple of hundred years old now and not mated he could still remember his first mating season. Even though males didn't go into heat because their seed was constant at first before they learned control, when the season had first called to him he had locked himself away in fright until it had past. He was a sorry sight to see when he finally emerged from his self imposed prison.

 

“You are strong willed girl, and will do well. Just remember I am here if you wish to talk. I'm sorry to say I do not have any remedies to cure your discomfort apart from the obvious one.”

 

Nodding her head in silence Linzi suddenly stilled and looked to her left where a familiar demonic aura was fast approaching them. Behind that she could make out three weaker ones, one of which smelled like a human girl.

 

Growling a curse under his breath Mamoru pulled Linzi by the arm after him as he walked faster to catch up to the others that had wondered further ahead. “Lord Sesshoumaru will catch up with us. We must get to Totosai's cave before night fall. I will go and speak with Inuyasha, and hopefully the three of us can leave the others behind and go there ourselves.”

 

When they caught up to the others her father quickly pulled the hanyou aside and explained the new plan of action. Only agreeing to it if he could take his mate with him the four in formed the others that they would come back for them and set off, Inuyasha carrying Kagome on his back as he zipped over the tree tops, Mamoru turning into his huge wolf form with Linzi clutching at his back as he easily kept pace with the hanyou along the forest floor. They both could sense that the demon lord had parted from the rest of his pack, which were now with the others, and was pursuing them in the air on his youkai cloud.

 

An hour later of travelling at their high speeds they found themselves outside the giant mouth of Totosai's cave, and could clearly hear the old demon banging away as he forged another weapon.

 

“Oi old man!” Inuyasha yelled as he walked up behind Totosai and stood in a menacing manner over him. “Someone here wants ya to make him a weapon.”

 

Putting his work aside Totosai turned around and looked at the others stood before him. Seeing that Sesshoumaru was with the group the old smith became worried and started to sweat. “What brings you here Sesshoumaru? Nothing wrong with Bakusaiga I hope?” Then seeing the two new demons, a wolf and a young beautiful Inu demoness Totosai instantly became excited when he saw her bright aura. With his keen eyes he could easily see the angel wings that sprouted from her back as he looked further into her soul. “Hot damn, hot damn! Well this has been a long time since I've been in the presence of such a being as yourself girl. Come her child and let Totosai take a good look at you.”

 

Blushing at the critical eye he was giving her Linzi could see no harm in the request and stepped forward. She eeped in alarm though when the old sword smith grabbed her chin in a rough firm grip and turned her head this way and that, before letting go and walking around her. Hearing a low growl she knew it was him without looking, and could feel his youkai swell as Totosai continued to look her over and touch.

 

“Totosai…” Sesshoumaru growled again. “I do not see the purpose of this treatment of the girl. She is here in need of a weapon forged.”

 

Chuckling Totosai stepped away from the girl and went and sat in front of his heath, which he blew fire into and prodded. “Calm down Sesshoumaru and quit your barking. I can forge the girl a weapon, but it will not be easy and will take a week at the most to craft. Plus, I need a few things before I start.”

 

“Totosai-san, whatever you need I will gladly give you.” Mamoru stepped in, wanting to get this underway and started. The longer they dawdled the harder it would be for Linzi's training.

 

Waving the wolf demon away the sword smith went on. “What I need you can not give me. That goes for Inuyasha and his mate. Could you three leave so I can have a word with Sesshoumaru and the girl?”

 

About to protest Inuyasha was silence by a strong warm hand on his shoulder, and looking at Mamoru he gave in and followed the older demon out of the cave, pulling his mate behind him.

 

“Well, out with it Totosai. What do you need?” Sesshoumaru growled again. Even his patience was starting to wear thin.

 

“Simple Sesshoumaru. I need two fangs, hair, and blood from the both of you to crafted what I have in mind for the girl.”

 

“That is all?” The demon lord queried with a hard look. Seeing the nod Sesshoumaru quickly pulled two fangs from his mouth, which would grow back by the end of the day, and cut off a long silver lock of his hair. Placing them in an empty pot that Totosai held out he turned to Linzi, to see her staring back at him with wide frightened eyes.

 

Having just watched the stoic demon pull his own fangs from his mouth Linzi suddenly felt a little light headed and clamped her mouth shut, slapping a hand over it as he stalked up to her.

 

Nu-uh…no fucking way! If I hated going to the dentist when I was young then I'm not gonna like this.

 

Seeing that Linzi was not going to open up for him Sesshoumaru sighed silently in his head and quickly appeared in front of her. Before the startled girl could react and lash out at him he grabbed her tightly and pressed a main vein in her neck, swiftly rendering her unconscious as she slumped in his arms. Prying her now slack jaw open Sesshoumaru wasted no time and yanked out the two dainty fangs he could see in her upper jaw. No sooner had they come out that two more popped in place.

 

Hmm…interesting.

 

Placing the plundered fangs with his in the pot he held the sleeping girl one handed against him while the other hand swiftly undid her long braid and cut off a long lock of her hair. All that was left was to take some of their blood.

 

“I know you are there Myouga the flea.” Sesshoumaru growled lowly as he fought his rising beast that was threatening to break free from the close proximity to the girl in his arms. Hearing a stuttered reply he quickly felt the tiny sting in his neck and the flea youkai sucked some of his blood, before he went and did the same to Linzi.

 

Jumping away Myouga emptied the combined blood in a sealed jug that Totosai had pulled out. All tasks completed Sesshoumaru swallowed thickly and reluctantly he carefully laid the still out of it girl on the stone and dirt floor, before backing away and storming out of the cave. A few seconds later Inuyasha, Kagome and Mamoru came running in, the later of which was at his daughters side in an instant and had pulled her into his arms.

 

“Do not worry yourself, Linzi-sama will be fine.” Totosai informed them before getting up and heading further into the back of his cave. “Now if there is nothing else that you need I have work that needs to be done.”

 

Mumbling their thanks the four left and headed back to their friends, though Sesshoumaru was nowhere to been seen.

Tonguing her teeth again just to make sure her little fangs were still there Linzi growled lowly under her breath and gripped the tree branch that she sat on, her near bronze eyes narrowed as she watched Sesshoumaru talking quietly with her father in the distance on the other side of camp. It had been several more hours since they were at Totosai's, and when they had all met up again with her father carrying her still form they had continued on travelling in silence, until the demon lord finally joined them again before dusk and led them all to a safe spot to rest.

 

I can't believe he did it! Just you wait Sesshoumaru, you'll have to sleep sometime, an when you do…

 

Growling again under her breath she tensed up and glared back at the demon lord when he looked up and locked eyes with her, a tiny smirk twitching the edges of his perfect mouth before he continued to speak with Mamoru.

 

“Hey Linzi, your not gonna stay up there all night, are ya?” Inuyasha queered as he gazed up at the agitated and still growling girl. He tried not to flinch at the cold glare she gave him and settled for swallowing the lump in his throat instead. “Come on girl, you need to eat to keep your energy up. If you don't your more likely to loose control of your beast.”

 

With her growling turning into a defeated sigh Linzi softened her gaze and just nodded back, before jumping down and heading back to the fire where the others were sitting around talking and eating. No sooner had she sat down than the little girl called Rin, Sesshoumaru's ward, came up to her and handed her a pot of ramen and some dry bread.

 

“Here you go Linzi-sama. Rin is happy you finally came down from that tree.” The little child spoke softly as she sat down beside her. Lowering her voice she added. “Rin thinks you should not be too mad at her lord. He didn't want to cause you too much pain and did the only thing he could.”

 

Blinking slowly in surprise at her Linzi swallowed the food in her mouth and thought about it. If he hadn't done what he did we could still be in Totosai's cave right now, and in a lot more worse condition. At least I didn't feel any thing and my fangs grew back quick, just like his.

 

With another sigh Linzi thanked the girl again and went back to eating, her eyes trailing over the group and landing on the back of Sesshoumaru, while he and her father discussed god knew what, but knew she'd find out later.

 

Men! They're so confusing.

Two days later found the Inu taichi coming across their first jewel shard possessed demon, which happened to be something crossed between a bull and some other mammal they couldn't identify. They all were finding it difficult to subdue and kill the beast, as the thing had one imbedded in each of its razor sharp horns and another two in its hind legs, making it incredibly fast for its large frame and deadly with the blasts of youkai energy that would burst out of its horns.

 

“Dammit!” Inuyasha cursed loudly as he jumped out of the way again from another blast, giving his brother a chance at the creature as Sesshoumaru cracked his knuckles and attacked with his poison claws.

 

Hearing a familiar twang behind him the hanyou stopped his forward rush and watched as a glowing pink arrow whizzed past him. With the bull like beast too occupied with fending off Sesshoumaru's attacks to his soft belly and chest it didn't sense the danger it was in until it was too late. Hitting its target in its lower back the demon roared in pain as it was purified from the waist down, the two jewel shards that were in its hind legs falling forgotten to the ground as it keeled over. Using its arms the beast tried to pull itself to safety, which gave Inuyasha time to hit it with his Wind Scar. With a final yowl of pain the rest of the demon was obliterated, leaving behind its skull with the jewel shards still in its horns.

 

“Man…no fare!” Linzi whined as she picked up the shards on the ground while Sesshoumaru pulled the ones out of the creatures horns. Holding her hand out she waited for the demon lord to hand them over. She watched him hesitate for a second before he quickly dropped them into her hand as he walked past.

 

Yep, my heat is definitely getting to the guy.

 

As they'd travelled further east Linzi and her father had started her training, Sesshoumaru being present but keeping his distance as he barked out commands to them on what to do. At first it had been embarrassing and awkward, but after a while Linzi had gotten used to his presence and even gone so far in tormenting the stoic lord on purpose. She had a sinking feeling he knew what she was up too, but Sesshoumaru had not said a thing and had continued on. She still hadn't found out what her father and him had talked about that night, as Mamoru would look away and change the subject. At least her heart to heart with him had gone better, as she was no longer worried about his state of mind over her future, and he was more settled with the thought that even if she did become some ones mate in the future she would still be his daughter. Nothing could stand in the way of their bond.

 

“Thanks Linzi!” Kagome smiled happily as she took the four shards from the miko/demon/angel and put them in the empty little bottle around her neck.

 

Just then Hotaru appeared from the tree line and bowed in front of her father, her face and body language remaining pleasantly blank which instantly put Linzi on edge.

 

What are you up too Hotaru? What do you get up to by yourself when you leave us at night?

 

“What is it Hotaru?” Mamoru asked in an emotionless voice. He too had picked up on the difference in the demoness's posture and wondered what she was up to.

 

“There is a traders village not far from here. While scouting it out I heard rumours of a demonic aura passing by not long ago. Do you wish to go and investigate this place more?”

 

Nodding his head Mamoru didn't have to ask the hanyou if they were going, as he already had his mate on his back and was heading in the direction Hotaru had come from. “Come on you lot! We should be able to reach it before it gets too dark.”

 

Mounting their rides again the rest of the group took off after him, Sesshoumaru steering his youkai cloud closer to Mamoru's wolf form as he galloped along with Linzi secured on his back.

 

“I do not trust that woman Mamoru.” Sesshoumaru whispered so only he could hear. “She will be trouble. Why not end her life now and make it easier for the rest of us?”

 

Mamoru growled back at the words. “She still has some use my lord. Do not worry, I am keeping her in line.”

 

Snorting under his breath the demon lord looked at the girl clutching the grey fur of her fathers back, her head turned in his direction and her eyes watching his every movement.

 

I know what you are up to little wench! I will not give into your wiles yet little one. You still have a long way to go yet.

 

Giving her his most devilish smirk that promised her sinful pleasures beyond anything she could dream of Sesshoumaru returned to his previous position of flying in front of Ah-Un, least the heavy spike in her heat scent from the previous action cause him to loose control over the thin chain he had wrapped around his inner beast, which rolled and stretched lazily inside him, biding its time till it was set free.

Sure enough as dusk was approaching they all made it to the outskirts of the village Hotaru had mentioned, the demoness of course no longer in sight but could still be felt. All dismounting their rides the group headed for the still busy village. The only ones that stayed behind were Sesshoumaru and the rest of his pack, who stayed out of sight amongst the trees.

 

Wearing the traditional robes of a miko this time and with her hair down to hide her ears Linzi followed her father as they split from the others to look around the traders market. She blushed though when passers by would either stop and talk or bow as they passed. Even though the humans were wary and fearful of youkai they seemed to understand without being told that the demon male at her side was her protector, so any questions they asked about past disturbances they answered as good as they could, until finally they met up with the others outside what appeared to be the villages inn. Night had fully fallen by now but the traders were still up and running.

 

“Any luck Inuyasha?” Mamoru asked as they either sat or stood on the front steps leading up to the inn.

 

“Keh, by what we could gather Naraku has definitely passed over here recently. The villages said they saw a large youkai cloud pass over head as the sun set, about two weeks ago. That would put it in the same time frame when the bastard fled the last time we fought.” Inuyasha replied thoughtfully.

 

“Yes, that's what we found out too Inuyasha.” Miroku cut in. “Though me and Sango managed to find out Naraku's cloud was heading in the direction of the mountain range further east. Some travelling monks that came from that region said they feared for their brothers there. It seems there is an old temple at the highest peak that has been there for hundreds of years. I have only vaguely heard of it though. It is reported to hold great powers within its walls.”

 

“Do you think Naraku went there to recoup like with Mt Hakurai?” Kagome asked worriedly as she looked to the east, though couldn't see the mountains that Miroku mentioned because of the dip the village was in and the surrounding trees.

 

“More than likely.” Inuyasha growled. “If he did it once then he can do it again. Come on Miroku, lets see if we can get some rooms here. I've got a feeling they'll be no more comfy places to sleep once we leave in the morning.”

 

Lucky for them their reputation had gone before them, and the innkeeper was honoured to have them staying in his inn. With rooms secured they each went about their own ways, some of them staying in their rooms while others either went to the bath house or wandered some more around the village. I'll let you guess who.

Sat alone in the bathhouse Linzi sighed and sank lower into the steamy water. The sound quickly turned into a whimper though when her heat came rushing back with a vengeance, and had her body flushed and tingling from head to toe, and her lower regions clenching so hard it made her breath hitch.

 

Oh god…what the hell am I supposed to do now? Dad's gone to talk with Sesshoumaru, and Inuyasha and Kagome are probably fucking like bunnies in their room by now. Lucky bastards. Ug…don't think about that…

 

Whimpering again Linzi pressed a hand between her legs to try and ease some of the ache there, and gasped out loud as the most wonderful feeling shot through her body.

Worrying her bottom lip and darting her eyes around the room Linzi did it again just to make sure, and bit her lip to stop the loud moan from escaping as the same sensations shot through her again. Getting up and darting quickly and silently to the only door to the bath house she was in, which was the furthest from the rest of her party, she found the length of wood by the door and slotted it into place, stopping any unwanted guests from intruding on what she was about to do. Going back to the sunken tub she picked up her towel and laid it near its edge before sprawling herself ontop.

 

God…I can't believe I'm actually gonna do this. But if this takes some of the edge off of my heat, then so be it.

 

Letting out a slow breath Linzi let her hands wander her body, realising vaguely that other than washing herself she had never had the chance to explore it. Closing her eyes she bit her lip again as an image of Sesshoumaru giving her that same look from earlier came rushing back to her, just as her fingers brushed over her already stiff nipples. Growling and whimpering in need she let one hand play with the peaks while the other slid down to the space between her legs. She was so wet down there, and not from the water, that she could easily slid two fingers into herself. Not being able to think any more she gave herself over to the feelings as her mind continued to taunt her with the demon lord while her hand found the nub she was looking for and started to furiously rub. After what seemed like an eternity to her Linzi gasped and couldn't stop the howl from leaving her mouth as she had her very first orgasm, which rocked her body so much that she literally passed out from the intensity of it.

 

Coming to slowly and panting for breath she smiled lazily and curled up on her side, feeling very sleepy and content at the moment, and vaguely realising that her heat had abated like she thought it did. Chuckling and shaking his head Mamoru found it really hard not to burst out laughing at the sight of the shocked and beyond aroused lord next to him, so saving face for both of them decided to leave Sesshoumaru where he was and went off to collect the now asleep girl. It was not difficult for him to remove the block from the other side, and when he entered the quiet bath house where Linzi was he chanced a glance at the window he and Sesshoumaru had been spying through since they picked up the increase in the girls heat scent, and found the lord had already gone.

 

I will not be surprised if he is now jacking off somewhere in the woods. Poor Sesshoumaru, you would have to make it hard on yourself. Even with the little gift I gave you, you still refuse to claim her and ease both your pains. Waiting till she finished her Inu training indeed!

 

Finished dressing the girl and belongings under one arm he picked her up and headed for her room, chuckling softly along the way when he past by the hanyou and miko's room and heard the not so silent cries of their passion from within.

Tuckering Linzi in her futon once they were in her room Mamoru let out another amused chuckle and positioned himself against a far wall, and was still lightly shaking with mirth as he drifted into a light sleep.

Sat alone in the forest not too far away from where the others were resting in the village Sesshoumaru snarled to himself as his blood burned within his veins, and his beast paced frantically and pushed against the thin chains that held it.

 

I will not…give…in…

 

Letting out a rumbling growl which scared away the surrounding wildlife the taiyoukai finally gave into his bestial desires and grasped his large throbbing demonhood with both hands, some part of his brain glad that he'd already removed his weapons, armour and clothes earlier when he needed to cool down. Snarling again he started pumping madly away, the image of Linzi in the bath house pleasuring herself and having her first climax making his body sweat buckets as he rocked heavily against himself. The heavy burning sensation in his blood burst throughout his being and out his cock in streaming torrents, while his mouth dropped open as far as it would go, his fangs flashing dangerously as he roared to the heavens above. This will only make it worst. With a heavy sigh Sesshoumaru stood up on slightly wobbly legs and walked the few feet to the small pond that he'd previously used to cool off in, then once he was satisfied he was clean enough he donned his clothes and other things then headed back.

Joining the rest of his group Sesshoumaru was silently glad both Rin and Jaken were already asleep, and that Ah-Un only opened one pair of eyes to regard him before going back to her nap. Sitting down at the base of a nearby tree the demon lord closed his eyes, determined to catch some much need rest and sleep.
