Head to the past, to save the future

Chapter 5

 

Slogging along at the back of the group Linzi growled in discomfort as she wiped again at the steady stream of sweat that bathed her face. They had only left the traders village behind a few hours ago, yet her entire body was already covered in the salty liquid and she had already changed out of her miko garb she'd left in, and into the skimpiest pair of clothes she'd had in her bag; black shorts and a white vest, the later practically see through now. Hence why she was walking at the back of the group. So disgruntled she was that she had even waved off her fathers comforting presence at her side, and choose to be by herself instead. Until he jumped from his position all the way at the front and started walking beside her. If she hadn't noticed that the stoic lord was in the same predicament she would have sent him away too.

 

Oh come on Sesshoumaru! Just claim me and get it over with. I know your not getting off on torturing me like this, cause its driving you nuts too! Just swallow your pride for godsake.

 

Finally cracking under the pressure she was under Linzi stopped in her tracks and growled in the most threateningly way she could, and glared at the back of the demon lords head, who only stopped when he both heard and felt her growl, but did not turn to look at her.

 

“Is something wrong?” Sesshoumaru asked in a cool detached voice, his eyes taking in that the others had finally heard her growl and were looking back at them from the top of the hill they had been slowly climbing. He could see Mamoru making his way down to them while the rest remained where they were.

 

Cracking her knuckles and baring her teeth, her fangs of which had elongated slightly with her rage, Linzi growled again. “You are what's wrong Sesshoumaru!” Tired and angry of being ignored the enraged girl launched herself at his unprotected back. She faintly heard someone yell her name, but she was too far gone to care. Before she could even sink her long claws into his shoulder the taiyoukai had turned and backhanded her away.

 

Sliding on her back on the ground and coming to a skidding halt a few yards away Linzi snarled and locked her blood red eyes with Sesshoumaru's pink tinged ones, his control being a little more better than hers over his inner beast, but with her growling and snarling insults in the Inu language it was steadily melting away.

 

When Mamoru saw the red had bled into his daughters eyes and was slowly bleeding into Sesshoumaru's as well he stopped dead in his tracks, and with a sad defeated sigh he turned and walked away, but before he went he reminded Sesshoumaru of his promise he'd made.

 

“Remember what I told you Sesshoumaru.”

 

That parting comment strengthened and tightened the chains that held his beast just a little bit more, removing some of the red haze that had clouded his mind and helped him think more clearly. Staring down at Linzi in full demon mode Sesshoumaru felt the guilt of what he'd done crash down upon him, the strange foreign feeling making him feel sick to his stomach. Realising she was still barking and snarling in Inu he sighed in defeat to himself, and mentally prepared himself for what he was about to do.

 

I have to make the bitch submit to me. She has over stepped her boundaries and under minded my authority by trying to take hold of the courting process. I only hope she can forgive me.

 

Standing tall and proud Sesshoumaru stared the girl down and taunted her into attacking. “Is that the best you can throw at this Sesshoumaru bitch? I will not soil myself with low level scum like yourself, that has no control over her current state.”

 

Snarling like the bitch in heat she was Linzi fell for it and blindly attacked head on, clawed hands raised and cocked, poised to sink into his flesh when she reached him.

 

Allowing his poison whip to form the demon lord stood still and lashed out multiple times at her, pushing her into defending herself as she raised her arms to cover her face from the stinging blows. With her distracted thus he appeared in front of her in a blur of colour, one hand fisting and striking her in her unprotected stomach and the other snapping out to grasp her neck when her arms feel away in reaction to the first blow. Digging his claws into her soft neck Sesshoumaru hoisted her thrashing body into the air and shock her, while growling back in Inu.

 

“Submit to your alpha, and show me how sorry you are, and I will forgive your transgressions to my person and let you go.”

 

“It hurts…bitch want mate…” Linzi managed to whimper out only loud enough for him to hear.

 

His gaze softening slightly as he watched some of the red in her eyes fade away Sesshoumaru steeled himself and shook her again, driving his point home. “Then submit bitch to your alpha, and I will make the pain go away.”

 

Whimpering and whining Linzi let her body go limp, and if he wasn't holding her neck at the moment her head would have lolled to one side.

 

Seeing her submit Sesshoumaru growled softly and woofed his compliance, before lowering them to their knees on the ground and releasing her neck. Nudging her head to one side with his nose the demon lord licked the puncture wounds there, his strong saliva closing and healing them up until all blemishes were gone. Rumbling contently back at her as she continued to let out little apologetic whimpers and pleading whines Sesshoumaru pushed her top up so he could see the large bruise forming there. As he lathered it with his tongue he pushed his youkai into her, taking away the pain and reducing the swelling until all colour faded away. Satisfied that her wounds he'd inflicted upon her were dealt with the taiyoukai pulled her into his arms and held her, her head tucked under his chin as he continued to rumble softly.

 

Watching all this from the top of the hill Mamoru held the tears at bay, as well as some of the humans that thought to intervene, until with a commanding bark Inuyasha told them to stay where they were. At their questions the hanyou promised to tell them all later when they made camp, but for the time being they would wait until his brother had calmed Linzi down.

 

Opening his eyes Sesshoumaru could tell by her breathing that Linzi had drifted to sleep, and with a soft sigh he rolled to his feet with her still held safely in his arms and headed to where the others waited.

 

“Mount your rides, we will look for a safe place to set up camp and bed down early for today.” Sesshoumaru in formed, before taking to the air on his cloud, with the others not too far behind him.

Night was fully underway when the Inu taichi were finally settled. Full and clean from the days travel and events not all of them were ready to give up and surrender to sleep.

 

Feeling like that little scared eight year old again Linzi ignored the worried and sympathetic glances the rest of the pack gave her as she picked up her blanket and the old dolly she'd managed to keep from long ago, before scurrying over to her fathers place. Looking up into the dark branches of the tree the girl let out a very soft whimper before Mamoru leapt silently down and scooped her up then back up onto his perch.

 

“Shush little one, I'm here.” Mamoru whispered so only she could here. Wrapping her blanket firmly around her the older demon had to smile at the little bundle of wool and cloth that she had smuggled along with her. “I thought it was lost?”

 

Snuggling closer to her father Linzi pulled dolly closer and idly played with the toys scraggy red wool of hair. “I lied. I didn't want her taken away, so I hid her from view.”

 

Raising a brow at her that she'd actually lied to him all these years Mamoru buried his head in her hair and breathed in her calming scent. Even though she had bathed with the other females he could still detect the taiyoukai's musk under her own.

 

“I am not mad that you lied. I'm glad she is still with us.”

 

Linzi went silent for a long time after that comment, and Mamoru had thought she'd drifted to sleep and was just about to take her back to her bed when she nearly startled him out of the tree they were in.

 

“Daddy?”

 

Regaining his composure Mamoru grunted in reply, then waited for her to continue.

 

“I…I thought I was ready for this…but I'm not. I…I'm so scared daddy!” Linzi wailed after burying her face in his hoari, her near silent tears and cries still loud enough for him to hear.

 

“Linzi, Linzi…” Mamoru cooed, as he felt those familiar tingles at the back of his eyes again. “I can not fault you for the way you feel. Even the greatest fighters, both demon and human, have felt the cold grasp of fear. That is what makes us strong my girl, that you feel these emotions and acknowledge them. I'm so proud of what you've accomplished so far. I feel honoured and humbled to call you daughter.”

 

Her crying dieing down to little sniffles Linzi snuggled further into him as she let all her insecurities wash away with the soft rumblings he produced. Mumbling her thanks the girl closed her eyes and finally let sleep claim her for the night.

 

Satisfied that she was indeed asleep this time Mamoru felt eyes upon him as he pulled Linzi closer before jumping down from his post. Looking out of the corner of his eye to the left as he marched over to her bedding, he found Sesshoumaru was staring intently at them, in full view of everyone else, and the other demon could not help but see the guilty look that crossed the taiyoukai's face before he turned and disappeared.

 

Be patient with her Sesshoumaru. She may be one hundred in demon years, but to herself and others, including me, she's still a sixteen year old human girl. Part of me hopes that Naraku is not at that temple, so it gives her more time. But I know that that is a luxury we can not have. You will have to be strong for both yourself and her.

 

With a weary sigh Mamoru slipped the sleeping girls body into bed, and it wasn't until he was sat on his perch in the tree again that he noticed that the girl had somehow slipped her dolly into the folds of his hoari. Smiling and shaking his head Mamoru decided against returning it to the girl and held it close, as he too drifted into a light sleep.

Deep within the vast mountain that the temple our Inu taichi was headed for Naraku continued to sleep, his nearly obliterated form slowly rebuilding itself while the poison ness insects that he used to see the rest of the land lured low level demons to his resting place. Even though he was in a deep sleep his mind was fully alert, replaying the last battle with his enemies and continuing to plot against them.

 

I will have the completed jewel in my possession again!

“Linzi, behind you!”

 

Sensing what the others had seen coming towards her the miko/demon/angel ducked the swinging clawed arm that had aimed for her head, and jumping up again after it passed over she turned and delivered a solid roundhouse kick to the beasts head. With a loud `crack' the ogre's head whipped to the side with such force until it was facing the other way. Staggering as its arms flailed about Linzi flexed the claws of her right hand and slashed the demon from shoulders to feet. With a wailing roar the beast toppled to the ground with a shuddering thud. Turning to look at the others Linzi caught a glimpse of Sesshoumaru using his poison whip against a horde of the butt ugly creatures before running off to help Miroku and Sango with the ogres that they were battling against. Inuyasha and Kagome were meanwhile fighting against the leader of the monsters, who happened to have two jewel shards embedded in each hand.

 

After travelling for two more days towards the temple in the east and encountering nothing short of miner demons that even Jaken could take care of, it came as quiet the surprise when they suddenly found themselves in the midst of an ogre battle, the leader of which was fighting against the others of his clan as they all wanted a piece of the shards it had. Even Kagome was surprised she hadn't sensed the two shards, and they all quickly found all the ogres coming at them at once.

 

At least I'm getting a decent fight this time. Linzi thought smugly, slashing at the enemies necks with her miko imbued claws as she zipped past the slayer and monk, then headed to Inuyasha and Kagome when she saw that their opponent was being mighty frisky and would not go down.

 

No sooner had she reached their sides and lended a hand that Sesshoumaru appeared by her side, a small smirk gracing his face as he released his poison whip again and proceeded to distract the creature along with Linzi, long enough for the other Inu and his mate to join attacks and slay it. With a roar of wind and miko energy the leader ogre was obliterated from sight, the only evidence it was ever there was the two glittering jewel shards that fell to the ground at their feet.

 

“Well, that was rather entertaining.” Miroku joked as he and Sango joined the rest of the group.

 

“Certainly got my heart pumping.” Kagome smiled back as she went and retrieved the shards. Adding them to the others they all looked to the bushes as they rustled, but not one of them pulled a weapon out. A few seconds later they could hear a familiar squawk followed by two childish giggles, before the rest of the group came bounding into the clearing, followed closely by Ah Un.

 

Tuning out the voices of the others around him Sesshoumaru scented the air as his golden gaze rose heavenward, his eyes narrowing when they alighted on the approaching storm clouds in the distance, which were fastly coming from the south. Catching Inuyasha's eye the brothers silently agreed that it was time to move swiftly, and started barking orders for the others to mount their rides.

 

As Linzi was about to head towards her father who had moved further away to change into his wolf form she was stopped by a gentle but firm grip on her right wrist. Tensing slightly at the touch she didn't have to look behind her to know who it was, as the scent and aura alone in formed her that it was Sesshoumaru. Locking eyes with a now wolf Mamoru she caught the nod of his head before he turned and lumbered off after the hanyou and miko. With a sigh Linzi relaxed and let the taiyoukai pull her against his chest before taking flight on his youkai cloud.

 

Swallowing the sudden lump in her throat Linzi wondered how to breach the mental gap between them, and held herself back from slapping herself when she remembered.

 

Duh! Idiot. Don't have to use words.

 

Slumping against him Linzi turned her head and tilted it back, before licking the underside of the taiyoukai's chin with quick little flicks of her tongue. A soft rumble and the tightening of the arms around her waist was her reply, so she sighed happily and nuzzled into him.

 

“This Sesshoumaru thought you would never forgive him.” The demon lord rumbled into her hair, his nose practically buried in the soft, silky pale yellow strands as one of his hands started to rub her lower belly. “Your heat has not affected you since then?”

 

Purring in response to his ministrations Linzi let her fingers lazily trace the markings on each of his wrists. She grinned though when the demon behind her moaned very softly and proceeded to grind something very hard into her backside.

 

“I haven't been paying it much attention lately.” Linzi replied honestly, and innocently bumped back against him. Sesshoumaru growled lowly in her ear and nipped it, before his hands grasped her hips and held her very tightly against him.

 

“Bitch…” Sesshoumaru rasped throatily as the sky around them lit up with approaching thunder. Looking up and around him the taiyoukai was slightly worried when he saw that the once blue and patchy sky was now totally covered in storm clouds, that were so dark it appeared as if night had come and greeted them early, when in fact it was still some seven hours away. Scanning the ground that raced past beneath them Sesshoumaru was grateful when he spotted that his half brother had found a group of caves in a small hillside they were just about to cross over and quickly made a landing.

 

“There pretty small so we'll have to split up.” Inuyasha barked at him as the heavens finally opened up above them. Taking his mates hand the hanyou tugged her into one of them while the others divided up amongst themselves.

 

As if seeing a good opportunity to spend time with the girl still in his arms Sesshoumaru ordered Mamoru to go with the younger members of their pack before leaping into a higher cave up the hillside. No sooner had they entered that the slow drizzle that had started came down in a thick down pour, obscuring every thing from view.

 

“We timed that well.” Linzi remarked as she watched the rain come down from the entrance. Turning her back on it she looked around the cave they were in and noticed that this wasn't as small as Inuyasha had claimed it was.

 

“Stay here, the hanyou did not check this one yet.” Sesshoumaru commanded her, before heading off into the darkness at the back of the cave.

 

Linzi jumped though when a few minutes later two squeals could be heard, that suspiciously sounded like pigs to her ears. Scenting the air she growled in annoyance though when all she could pick up were the smell of the rainstorm outside, herself, and Sesshoumaru's musky odour. Said taiyoukai quickly emerged with two gutted pigs in each hand.

 

“Thought I heard a couple of pigs squealing.” Linzi replied upon his return, one brow raised in a silent question when the demon lord dropped the carcasses to the floor and built up the remains of the fire pit in the centre of the floor. Her other eyebrow went up though when Sesshoumaru pulled straw, twigs, leaves and other such bedding materials from inside his bulging hoari, and she watched in silent awe as he proceeded to light the built fire with a flick of his claws, in the same way you would use two stones.

 

“How the hell did you do that?” Linzi asked while the taiyoukai went to retrieve something else from the back of the cave.

 

Looking over his shoulder Sesshoumaru gave her a nonchalant look and brought up his right hand, as if to examine it. “Practice.” Before the rattled girl could question him further he had disappeared again, coming back a few minutes later with bigger pieces of dried wood. He then proceeded to skewer the pigs and place them in spits.

 

“What in god name is back there?” Linzi asked as she stepped past him to take a look. Stepping behind a boulder she realised it had blocked the back entrance from sight, so it would look to people looking in that this was just a small cramped cave. Whistling softly to herself Linzi was grateful for her enhanced vision and started to explore, her eyes making out where the pigs had been living in a small little alcove, while the rest of cave was untouched. Hearing the telltale dripping of water she headed to a corner and found that through a large crack in the wall she could see a small pool of water.

 

This is too good to be true! I wonder if the others caves are like this. Hmph, probably not. From what I glimpsed as Sesshoumaru jumped up our cave was the only one on top of the others. Looks like we got the best of the lot.

 

“What are you looking at, little one?”

 

Too much into her thoughts Linzi quickly found herself on top of a surprised and smirking taiyoukai, who had caught her so by surprise that she'd reacted purely out of instincts and had decked him, pinning his body beneath hers.

 

“Shit Sesshoumaru…don't do that!” Linzi growled, the sound deepening when the male under her only chuckled in light mirth. “What the hell is so funny?”

 

Still shaking in silent laugher Sesshoumaru rested his big hands on the girls hips, holding her in place while at the same time pulling himself up, until his hot breath tickled against the skin of her neck. “You, my dear, are so funny. I think you will keep me on my toes for a very long time.” Giving in to his urges the taiyoukai flicked his tongue over her pulse point, and liking what he tasted latched the rest of his mouth over it. Sucking and nibbling he had silenced the protests that he knew were rising in Linzi's throat and quickly had her panting and moaning on top of him. Raising his arms to support her back he rolled and quickly had her beneath him, his mouth never leaving the place on her neck as he started to rock his hips against hers.

 

“Oh…Sesshoumaru!” Linzi gasped out, one hand gripping the back of his head while the other fisted the back of his hoari. Bucking up as much as she could she rubbed her aching heat against his, and as if a switch had been flicked on inside of her the heat blasted back, roaring like a fierce furnace inside her belly that quickly spread to the rest of her body. “Oh god!”

 

Growling in approval and lust as he felt her body heat up Sesshoumaru kissed up to her little pointed ear and suckled on that, causing a shudder to streak through Linzi's body at the pleasure she received from the small act. Licking over her cheek the demon lord ran his tongue over the girls bottom lip then dipped it inside her mouth when it opened in a gasp of surprise.

 

I will not leave her this time. No more hurting, no more pain. The only thing we shall feel is immense pleasure.

 

Pulling back after kissing the girl breathless Sesshoumaru sat back on his haunches and pulled off his hoari, tossing it carelessly onto the remaining straw bedding he had rebuilt before she came in to explore. Leaning back in to kiss her senseless he groaned in approval when he felt her small hands dive into the gaping hole of the white yukata he still wore, her dainty claws scratching lightly over the smoothness of his chest and upper abdomen. He gasped and flung his head back when those same fingers found each of his nipples and tweaked them roughly.

 

Smirking and panting and seeing her chance Linzi got her legs under her and pushed herself into a kneeling position, her hands never idle as they pushed the white silk wider and over his broad shoulders, exposing the maroon slashes there and more of his front to her hungry gaze. Locking her heated eyes with his glazed ones she quickly latched onto one of his rock hard nipples and sucked it mercilessly, pulling strangled cries and dog like whimpers from her lovers throat. Before she could even think of moving to the next one Sesshoumaru had swiftly taken control again, and in his haste of wanting to see her naked body he quickly ripped the white t-shirt and black shorts from her body. Seeing the skimpy pieces of material that still covered her breasts and private area only made his body pulse and throb more, and his own heat to surge back more fiercely than ever. Just as he raised his hand to rip the last pieces of clothing from her Linzi let out an angered growl and wrapped her smaller hand in his.

 

Seeing that her favourite white lace and silk undies were going to end up in the same predicament as the rest of her clothes Linzi quickly stilled Sesshoumaru's hand, and before he could protest she arched her back and reached behind her, undoing the hooks in the back before tossing the article aside. Not having enough room to remove the panties she brought her knees closer to her chest and quickly rolled over until she was on her hands and knees. She quickly went still though when she realised just exactly what position she'd put herself in.

 

Fuck! Was all she could think before the horny Inu behind her swiftly mounted her from behind, his chest rumbling happily as he draped himself over her back while his hands gripped her hips tightly and pulled her flush against his rampant naked arousal.

 

When the hell did he get naked!!!

 

When Sesshoumaru had seen Linzi assume the position he had quickly shed the rest of his clothing with his demonic speed. He managed to laugh silently to himself though when he saw his intended still, and knew what had crossed her mind as he moved himself into position, the only thing in the way now was that little piece of cloth between her legs. Feeling merciful Sesshoumaru hooked his thumbs into each side and very slowly pulled it down. Scowling when he saw the cloth would only inhibit his progress his gaze feel on the make shift bed where the rest of his clothes were, and with a wicked grin he wrapped his arms around her waist and hoisted her up.

 

With a squeak of surprise and ignoring the panties as they fell the rest of the way off her legs Linzi didn't have the time to react as she quickly found herself in the same position again, only on the soft bedding of straw covered in the silk of Sesshoumaru's clothes. Feeling her legs being nudged further apart Linzi lowered herself until her head rested on her crossed arms, her hands gripping the silk beneath her tightly when she felt the taiyoukai dip and lick at her cleft with his long tongue.

 

Suckling on her clit mercilessly Sesshoumaru growled in approval at the cries and moans she let rip, and rewarded her by plunging two fingers into her cunt, quickly followed by a third and fourth when he felt her tight channel start to loosen slightly. His hand practically dripping in her juices the taiyoukai used that same hand to fist himself, coating his large pulsing clock in her cream and lubricating it. Moving closer he rubbed the head over and around her opening, making the girl squirm and moan louder and let out growls letting him know that this is what she wanted. Giving into the demands of both his and her bodies Sesshoumaru plunged his entire length home, his eyes bleeding red as his beast rose to the surface and took control. He didn't have to look at Linzi to know hers had done the same, and didn't cease in his movements as he pulled out then thrust back in faster and faster.

 

While he continued to pump away Sesshoumaru rested himself over her back, his chest rumbling in a high growl of pleasure as her walls rippled around him, signalling her impending orgasm. Fisting and wrapping her long hair in one hand he pulled her head to one side roughly, letting his tongue snake out to lave her left shoulder before he set his teeth. With the hand in her hair as an anchor it allowed the other one to move to rest in front of her open mouth, which as soon as she scented it Linzi had latched her mouth onto it, sucking and nibbling but not sinking her fangs into the skin.

 

Feeling the tightening in his loins reaching a peak Sesshoumaru sank his fangs into her flesh at the same time he came, her shuddering inner walls milking him for all he was worth while her own fangs sank home into his arm. Sucking the blood that flowed to the surface Sesshoumaru rumbled contentedly as he felt Linzi do the same, and holding her tightly he rolled to the side, so they were both laying on their right sides on the bedding. Realising he had locked within her it quickly reminded him about the interesting talk he'd had with Mamoru one afternoon, and the little present he had given him. Reaching into the folds of his hoari Sesshoumaru pulled out a wrapped silk bundle, his fingers easily feeling the small stiff squares inside.

 

Sorry Mamoru, looks like I didn't keep your promise. Not as if I would have wanted to wear these `con doms' of yours anyway.

 

Chuckling quietly at the memory and shaking his head Sesshoumaru tossed the package away in some random direction and pulled his new mate closer to him. With his chest continuing the soft rumble he slowly followed Linzi and fell into a light sleep.
