Decided to chapter 2 for now. and get used to lack of periods and question marks cuz this thing hates wordpad!
Chapter 2
The day hadn't exactly gone as Sei had planned but it was better than most. First he went to school and pissed his teacher off which was always fun, then he'd met up with Kagome and after deciding to meet his dad for dinner that very weekend he'd decided to get off a few stops early to visit Kagome where he'd gotten into yet another fight with people who'd been tormenting him for years and he was glad to at least snap a guys shoulder and give another head problems for a while, even if it cost ha couple of bruises and cuts but now his day had gone from great, to okay, to now a living nightmare. After her mother had fixed him up Sei decided to wait for Kagome outside in the well shrine.
He'd spent alot of time in there as a kid playing hide and seek with Kagome and it was always a place they had used to meet up if one needed to talk in the middle of the night so he knew he would be safe in choosing it as a waiting spot. But, he'd been wrong since no sooner had he got there and looked into the well a blur of red, white, brown and green had erupted from the well and he'd been kicked in the back of the head forcing him to go through the portal that had taken Kagome away for weeks at a time for the better part of 3 years and now he'd experienced the magic of the well first hand. It was just as Kagome had described it, deep blue with flecks of white light appearing everywhere and you couldn't help but feel a bit calm floating down the well.
But his landing had been less than graceful and now he stood staring up at the dark sky, rubbing his butt and saying"Damn that hanyou." Looking around he found a ladder and climbed out of the well to find himself in a dark forest. He knew from Kagome's description that this was the area that would house the Higurashi Shrine in the future but he was still worried about where he should go. According to Kagome all he had to do was jump in the well but he thought it'd be fun to get Inuyasha in trouble by staying on the other side of the well for the night and return to his time in the morning. Looking around he decided that the best way to go would be straight north and hopefully he'd run into the Village of Inuyasha Forest and made his way through the dark woods.
Travelling through the forest wasn't as dangerous as Kagome had described it last year, well how could it be with the death of that demon Naraku and Inuyasha scaring off or killing most of the demons that threatened his territory. But, Sei wasn't stupid enough to think he was completely safe from harm as there were still wars going on and he knew that bandits and rouges would more than likely cut him down or sell him into slavery so he was on the cautious side as he saw a fire about a dozen yards in the distance. Crouching down he saw the forms of a man and woman embraced around the fire and they seemed to be kissing, while the woman giggled and tried to push the man off and say"Honestly, you can't keep your hands to yourself can you"
Watching from his spot in the bushes Sei heard the man say"Only, when it's you my dear and lately you've gotten more beautiful than ever." The woman let out a small gasp as the man knipped her neck as she said"Miroku, we really shouldn't due this with our child do in a few months." Shocked at who he had just stumbled upon Sei stepped back carefully but his caution only brought him hell as he heard a twig snap under his foot and Sango yelling"Kirara, go get it" Sei looked up to see a giant flaming saber toothed cat bounding towards him and despite knowing better he turned and ran off in the direction he had just come from screaming"I'm not a demon" at the cat.
Yet his pleas seemed to only fuel the demons resolve to catch him as he took a left as soon as he cleared the forest with the cat taking to the air and screeching her head off as her prey ran from her. Not knowing what to do Sei continued to run until he caught sight of a boulder and dove behind it as soon as it came into view but it didn't seem to help as Kirara sailed overhead and pinned an extremely terrified Sei against the giant rock. He stood with his back to the stone and was shaking with terror as Kirara growled and snarled at him as he watched her bore into his soul with her eyes.
Thinking it best not to provoke her anymore Sei got to his hands and knees and laid his head down in a sign of submission. It seemed to work as the cat demon stopped her snarling and just watched him carefully until Sango yelled to her"Good job, Kirara." Looking up from the ground Sei could see the two humans standing on either side of the demon, each with their own torches. Hoping the cat wouldn't attack Sei quietly said"I'm not going to harm anyone. I'm a human like you two please just..." But as he started to talk Kirara snapped and he crouched back down into his submissive pose.
Patting the demon on the head Miroku said"Calm yourself Kirara. He speaks the truth as I sense nothing demonic from him nor do you smell any sign of demonic influence on him do you, Kirara" The demon looked to her mistresses mate and transformed to her smaller form and approached the frightened Sei and sniffed him briefly. When she caught a scent like Kagomes the cat mewed happily and started licking Sei's cheek as an apology. When he felt the rough feline tounge against his skin Sei sat with his back against the boulder and let out a loud sigh of relief before asking"Do you do that to everyone who comes walking towards you or just the ones that accidentally snap a twig"
Blushing brightly Sango said"Forgive us but with a child on the way and after many years of being a target of demons we've come to act a bit hastily when alarmed." Waving his hand Sei gasped out"I can understand that but today's been rough enough without being chased by a fire cat." From his lap Kirara let out a sharp meow and purred as she climbed up his arm and rubbed against his face. Watching curiously Miroku aimed his torch at Sei and gasped a little at the sight of the young man and said"You came through the well, didn't you" Looking at her husband then at Sei, Sango caught her breath as she too saw his clothes that were now a bit ripped and mud stained and asked"Are you a friend of Kagome's"
Nodding Sei said"Yeah, I'm Sei Mizutani." Miroku smirked and said"We've heard alot about you from Kagome." Arching an eyebrow at the monk Sei asked"How much has she told you" Elbowing her husband Sango said"Just alot of embarassing child hood stories and also alot of how you've protected her from bullies growing up and about your family too." Still not convinced with their answer Sei asked"What else has she told you about me" But after asking this he didn't need a reply from them as their faces grew blank with confusion as they said"Nothing, only that you're one of her dearest friends and that you're the only one outside of her family that knows about her trips through the well."
Convinced that Kagome hadn't blurted out his secret to them he said"Well, Since you know who I am, I might as well tell you that Kagome has told me about you three as well." Smirking Miroku said"So you know who we are and what we've done on our journies" Standing up and dusting himself off Sei nodded and said while looking at Sango"You're Sango of the Taijiya village and it's current head" and then looked to Miroku and said"and you're Miroku her husband. Your family was cursed by Naraku and after his defeat you lost your Kazanna and are now married to her and expecting your first child." Nodding at Sei's knowledge of them Miroku extended his hand and said"Pleased to meet you finally Sei." Sei took the monks hand and said"Same here. But can you guys take me to the village"
Looking curiously at the time traveller Sango asked"Why do you want to go the village? Why not go home through the well" With an embarassed smile Sei said"Well because Inuyasha knocked me through the well and I thought it'd be fun to get him in trouble for it." He thought the two of them would object to such a cruel deed but Miroku and Sango both plastered grins to their faces and said"No problem." And told him to follow them, but just as he took a step forward Sei let out a loud yell of pain and fell to the ground grabbing his leg.
Rushing to his side Sango knelt down and asked"Are you all right, Sei" Nodding painfully Sei grunted out"I'm fine I probably rolled my ankle while I was running and it didn't hit 'til now. I should be fine in the morning but I gotta stay off my foot." Lifting his pant leg and removing his shoe Sango looked at his foot and noticed the heel was slightly swollen and said"Yeah, it's a bit swollen and you should be okay by morning but we'll take you to Kaede's just in case." Clicking her tounge Sango caused Kirara to transform and with the help of Miroku placed Sei on the cat and they headed towards the village.
As they walked towards the village Miroku asked"So what happened to cause you to fall through the well, Sei" Sighing loudly Sei said"I was at Kagome's house and was waiting for her near the well like we used to do when we were kids but instead of waiting outside I was dumb enough to think nobody would pass through but I was wrong. As I stood there with my back to it I heard a small woosh of wind and as I was about to turn around I felt a foot on my face and go kicked through the well." Giggling Sango asked"I take it Shippou was chasing Inuyasha" Rolling his eyes Sei nodded and said"Yeah, they didn't even notice me as I fell so I thought since they caused me to miss dinner they may as well suffer the consequences for the night."
He smiled as he heard the two laugh and started to laugh a bit until Sango asked"How'd you get bruised up like that? I know Inuyasha's strong but a jump like that off your face couldn't do that much damage, could it" Coughing loudly at his wife's question Miroku gave the distinct signal of"Don't ask that." But Sei just shrugged and said"I got into a fight earlier, I lost but I gave the guys a pretty good beating before they hit me in the head with a board and beat the crap outta me." Shocked at his calm demeanor Sango asked"How can you be so calm after that happened? What'd you do to deserve that" Sei shrugged at her and said"Well why did Inuyasha get treated so horribly by a lot of people? Just because he existed, that's why and the same goes for me in many aspects." Deciding it best to drop the topic Sango fell silent and Miroku just led the rest of the way to the village.
Once there the villagers greeted them happily but a little less enthusiastically than normal as they saw Sei on top of Kirara. Used to such odd looks at him Sei just smiled kindly and made faces at kids who deemed hiim worthy of such teasing and was glad that they ran away laughing or followed closely and began shouting questions at him. He did his best to answer all their questions but their parents thought him dangerous so they grabbed their children and took them back into their homes and the kids waved at him through the small windows as he headed up the small hill to Kaede's house.
Once there Sei climbed off down from Kirara and with some help managed to make it into the old miko's hut where inside the old woman asked"Who is this young boy" Thinking angrily to himself, Who are you calling young boy hag? Sei composed himself and said"The name's Sei, I'm a friend of Kagomes on the other side of the well." Taking in his clothes and odd look as a sign of the truth Kaede nodded and asked"Well then why didn't ye just go back through the well" Despite his best effort to keep from falling, Sei did a traditional anime back drop and said"Guys can you just tell her what had happened to me" After setting him up in a corner, Miroku and Sango repeated the story while Kaede placed a wet rag on his swollen ankle and said"Well I can't see how ye three find this amusing but the chances are that Inuyasha will appear tomorrow with a swollen face from Kagome using the subduing spell on him so I guess I can see how ye might find doing this proper revenge. But as that is over with are ye hungry at all Sei"
Sei shook his head no and said"I'm good but I could use a nice drink if it's not too much trouble." Smiling at him Kaede turned and got a cool cup of water for him from a near by jug and handed it to him. Thanking her he downed the drink in two gulps and sighed loudly before letting out a small burp and muttering a small"Excuse me." before asking"Ummm would it be a problem if I stayed here tonight Kaede-san" Smiling even more at his politeness Kaede said"I see no problem with it. But might I ask how you came by straw colored hair and eyes that are greener than grass"
Choking on the rest of his water Sei got some all over the front of his shirt and said"Well I guess it won't hurt to let this information out. But in the future people can travel all over the world through the air and sea, and because of this people from other lands intermarried and people of different colors and cultures have children and you get people like me who have skin, body and facial features normal to this country but I have different colored hair and eyes than most people. Well sometimes you get people who have mixtures of both parents looks but I just happen to look more like my father except for the fact that I'm way taller than him and have this blondish brown hair and green eyes as opposed to his brown hair and brown eyes."
Taking his answer with only a nod Kaede was about to speak when all of a sudden a gruff voice said"OY SEI! WHY THE HELL DIDN'T YOU COME BACK THROUGH THE WELL" Looking up at the voice and doing his best to keep from laughing Sei said"Well I guess Kagome did what I was hoping she would, cuz you should see your face" The others looked up and chocked back laughter to see Inuyasha's face covered in floor board shaped marks as he stood in the door way looking furiously at Sei. Laughing sarcastically Inuyasha asked"Why you got a rag on your ankle" Looking down at his foot and then at Inuyasha he said"I hurt it running from Kirara so Kaede's letting me stay here tonight." Looking at the old women and then back at Sei, the hanyou shrugged and said"Fine, but be back in two days. Your step mother called on that phone thing and Kagome told her you were sick so you'd be staying there for the night and she made me swear I would remind you about Sunday or whatever you call days in the future."
Downing another cup of water Sei gave the cup to Kaede with a low thanks and asked"Anyone else" Sitting down for a moment Inuyasha scratched his chin and then pounded a fist to his palm and said"Yeah that David guy. He said he wants you to contact him soon." Groaning loudly Sei took his cell phone out and tossed it to Inuyasha and said"Can you have Kagome charge this for me and tell them I'm sorry for not coming through." Sticking the object in his haori Inuyasha said"Whatever, not like I know what you said but I'll tell her. So what's going on with you and..." but he trailed off as Sei mouthed the words"Shut up now." and stood up and said"Okay, I'll give this thing to Kagome. See you guys later."
Despite his positive thinking Sei saw Miroku looking at him when he told Inuyasha to shut up and just said"Well, Sango I think we should be heading home. Sei, Kaede-sama." They waved good bye to their friends and as they left Sei heard Sango ask"Why did Inuyasha stop asking Sei that question" But Miroku's reply went unheard as Kaede handed the injured man a blanket and some pillows and said"Will ye be fine out here" Sei nodded and said"Thank you for your hospitality." Smiling again at the boy she said"Helping people is my lot in life. But having such polite people like you around is always a blessing." Smiling back at the old woman he bid her good night and fell into a deep sleep.
It seemed his sleep lasted only a split second when Sei was woken by the loud crowing of a rooster and he stirred from his spot on the floor and stretched loudly and popped all his joints back into place and exited the hut to find Kaede in her herb garden and said"Good morning." Looking up she nodded and said"A fine morning 'tis. Ye sleep well last night" Nodding and yawning Sei said"Yeah, really well. I'm going to head out for a short walk before I head back, is that fine" Looking up Kaede said"It is fine with me but be careful, as 'tis early morning and some demons be roaming around the woods." Bowing to her in thanks Sei heading off into the woods and once he was sure he was a safe distance from prying eyes he did his morning business with a great feeling of relief. But just as he finished he heard a loud rooting and zipped up his pants and looked behind him to see a giant boar staring at him and said"Shit"
great this guy can't catch a break this weekend. Oh well laters RR please!

But in the future people can travel all over the world through the air and sea, and because of this people from other lands intermarried and people of different colors and cultures have children and you get people like me who have skin, body and facial features normal to this country but I have different colored hair and eyes than most people. Well sometimes you get people who have mixtures of both parents looks but I just happen to look more like my father except for the fact that I'm way taller than him and have this blondish brown hair and green eyes as opposed to his brown hair and brown eyes."
Taking his answer with only a nod Kaede was about to speak when all of a sudden a gruff voice said"OY SEI! WHY THE HELL DIDN'T YOU COME BACK THROUGH THE WELL" Looking up at the voice and doing his best to keep from laughing Sei said"Well I guess Kagome did what I was hoping she would, cuz you should see your face" The others looked up and chocked back laughter to see Inuyasha's face covered in floor board shaped marks as he stood in the door way looking furiously at Sei. Laughing sarcastically Inuyasha asked"Why you got a rag on your ankle" Looking down at his foot and then at Inuyasha he said"I hurt it running from Kirara so Kaede's letting me stay here tonight." Looking at the old women and then back at Sei, the hanyou shrugged and said"Fine, but be back in two days. Your step mother called on that phone thing and Kagome told her you were sick so you'd be staying there for the night and she made me swear I would remind you about Sunday or whatever you call days in the future."
Downing another cup of water Sei gave the cup to Kaede with a low thanks and asked"Anyone else" Sitting down for a moment Inuyasha scratched his chin and then pounded a fist to his palm and said"Yeah that David guy. He said he wants you to contact him soon." Groaning loudly Sei took his cell phone out and tossed it to Inuyasha and said"Can you have Kagome charge this for me and tell them I'm sorry for not coming through." Sticking the object in his haori Inuyasha said"Whatever, not like I know what you said but I'll tell her. So what's going on with you and..." but he trailed off as Sei mouthed the words"Shut up now." and stood up and said"Okay, I'll give this thing to Kagome. See you guys later."
Despite his positive thinking Sei saw Miroku looking at him when he told Inuyasha to shut up and just said"Well, Sango I think we should be heading home. Sei, Kaede-sama." They waved good bye to their friends and as they left Sei heard Sango ask"Why did Inuyasha stop asking Sei that question" But Miroku's reply went unheard as Kaede handed the injured man a blanket and some pillows and said"Will ye be fine out here" Sei nodded and said"Thank you for your hospitality." Smiling again at the boy she said"Helping people is my lot in life. But having such polite people like you around is always a blessing." Smiling back at the old woman he bid her good night and fell into a deep sleep.
It seemed his sleep lasted only a split second when Sei was woken by the loud crowing of a rooster and he stirred from his spot on the floor and stretched loudly and popped all his joints back into place and exited the hut to find Kaede in her herb garden and said"Good morning." Looking up she nodded and said"A fine morning 'tis. Ye sleep well last night" Nodding and yawning Sei said"Yeah, really well. I'm going to head out for a short walk before I head back, is that fine" Looking up Kaede said"It is fine with me but be careful, as 'tis early morning and some demons be roaming around the woods." Bowing to her in thanks Sei heading off into the woods and once he was sure he was a safe distance from prying eyes he did his morning business with a great feeling of relief. But just as he finished he heard a loud rooting and zipped up his pants and looked behind him to see a giant boar staring at him and said"Shit"
