Chapter 13 is now underway..........glad you all liked Seis revenge. I've altered the rosaries power i think cuz i don't think the spell works when dog boy is human.
Chapter 13
"Why go the hell do I have go to this damn thing Kagome?! I don't even know the bastard!" Sei let out a loud groan as he heard Inuyasha complain, yet again about having to go to dinner with Sei and Kagome for the celebration of Michelles prenancy. And while Kagome was attempting to explain the reasoning behind his going, Sei would have just left the hanyou alone since he knew that his friend would follow them to the restaurant dressed in the clothes Kagome had picked out and would be his typical scowling, over protective self. Going to the kitchen he grabbed a glass from the cupboard, and poured himself a glass of milk as Kagome said, "Because it's polite Inuyasha!" Downing the glass Sei popped in a few aspirin and downed another glass as Inuyasha said, "Well then why the hell did you have to cut my hair?!"
Turning on the television now Sei chuckled at something as Kagome said, "Because his father doesn't know you're a half breed and let alone about Sesshomaru so it's best for you to be incognito!" Straining his ears Sei heard the hanyou say, "He better pay me back for having to wear these damn shoes and modern clothes, because I itch all over when I wear them." Deciding to mess with his friends head Sei said, "Oh come on Inuyasha, you look really sexy dressed like that!" He knew that hit a button as Inuyasha poked his head out of the bedroom and said, "Go and rot in Hell." Chuckling Sei looked to his now human friend and said, "Ya look better with the silver dude." Snorting Inuyasha said, "Well at least you don't have to deal with transformations like this once a month. It sucks, one minute I'm strong and the next I'm a weak human like you." Glaring at his friend Sei said, "Well I feel lucky for all the children I'm never going to have."
Staring at his friend Inuyasha opened his mouth to say something but was silenced when Kagome said, "You say anything I'm going to sit you so bad tomorrow." This confused Sei as he should have been sat but when he looked at Inuyashas neck he noticed the rosary was removed and said, "Good thing you weren't wearing the necklace huh?" Smirking Inuyasha walked out and finished buttoning up his shirt and said, "I'm a human right now so the spell doesn't work on me right now." Standing up Sei fixed his shirt and tie before saying, "So I guess she trusts you right now without it." Inuyasha nodded slightly and said, "But she's going to sneak it on in the morning I can almost guarantee it." Chuckling Sei put on his jacket and said, "OI!! Are you almost done in there Kagome?" Opening the door Kagome revealed a stunning black shoulder cut dress and said, "Yup!" And opening the door Sei let them out before himself and locked the door and rubbed the mark on his neck and smiled.
The morning after he and Sesshomaru marked each other Sei woke up and found the demon holding him in a protective embrace and watched as the demon slept peacefully. Judging by the way the light was hitting his chosen Sei guessed that it was well past sunrise and sighed a little bit since he'd been hoping to catch the early morning rays on his lovely face but was content at just seeing his hair shimmer in the morning light. He shuffled a little closer and gently pushed the Taisho on his back and laid on his chest and stared into his face. Sei smirked and watched as the demons eyes creeped open as he asked, "What are you doing?" Sei let out a small laugh and said, "I was hoping to watch you sleep for a bit." Groaning Sesshomaru locked his amber eyes with Seis hazel ones and said, "Why in the name of all that is sacred would you want to do that?"
Placing his forhead on Sesshomarus and straddling his stomach Sei kissed his koi before saying, "Do I need a reason to watch you sleep?" Letting out a small grunt Sesshomaru said, "No, but you do need a reason for why you are straddling my chest." Putting his lips to Sesshomarus, Sei silenced the demon for a moment and upon breaking the kiss he said in a slightly breathless voice, "So you don't get away from me." Not making a remark Sesshomaru leaned up and placed his lips on the boys and pulled him in. Not one to turn his love down Sei returned the kiss gratefully and placed his hand on the demons neck and pulled him in closer. Letting out a throaty laugh Sesshomaru slid his tongue out and was pleased that Seiya opened his mouth almost immediately and began brushing his tongue against Sesshomarus.
The kissing soon turned into a bit of a war as both men tried to dominate one another and it looked the victory would go to Sei, but just as his hand reached the hem of the demons pants they heard the door open and a high pitched voice shout, "My Lord! Where have you been for these past few daaaaaaaaa......." The two men looked up at the toad demon with faces as blank as a new chalkboard. Staring at them Jaken said, "My lord what is the meaning of this?" Getting off of the demon Sei allowed him to stand and say, "He is my chosen Jaken and shall be treated as such." At the sound of that Jaken glared at Sei and said, "You despicable human! You are going to bring nothing but disaster to my lord...." But the toad was silenced as Sesshomaru walked over and grasped the toad by the neck and said, "You will do as I say Jaken! You are to treat him with the same amount of loyalty you give me or your head will be made into a new drinking mug for my tea."
Shaking in his lords hands Jaken nodded and squeaked out, "Forgive me Lord Sesshomaru. I will do my best to be as good a servant to him as I am to you." Keeping his murderous gaze on the toad Sesshomaru dropped him and said, "Apologize to him this instant." Grabbing his staff Jaken limped over to Sei and bowed deeply while saying, "Forgive me for my rudeness, Sei-san." Gazing at the demon from his seat on the floor Sei said, "Don't worry about it. I'd feel the same way if I was you." Turning his head up Jaken saw a small smirk on the humans face and said, " Thank you for accepting my apology." Sei rolled his eyes and said, "Whatever just leave us alone now." The demon backed away and once outside the door bolted into the other room and just as Sesshomaru was about to shut the door Rin walked in with Sesshomarus clothes and said, "Lord Sesshomaru, your armor and garments have been cleaned."
Rin was oblivious to the looks of the two men and walked in and set the clothes next to Sei and smiled the human and said, "Good morning, Sei-san. Did you sleep well?" Not even recognizing the question that was addressed to him Sei asked, "Rin did you see anything when you came in?" Rin looked at him in a confused sort of way and said, "No, Sei-san. I didn't get the clothes this morning, Kagome-san did and said that Sesshomaru-sama needed his clothes taken to him once they were dried." Walking over Sesshomaru crouched down and said, "Rin, I must tell you something very important so listen closely." Looking at her lord Rin asked, "What's the matter my lord?" Keeping his eyes on the girl Sesshomaru said, "Rin, do you remember when I asked you about mating with Shippou?" Nodding Rin said, "Yes my lord but what does that have to do with anything?" Looking to Sei and nodding at him Sesshomaru turned back to the girl and said, "Rin, Seiya and I are in the process of mating."
Her eyes bugging Rin asked, "Is my lord serious about you and Sei-san mating?" Nodding Sesshomaru grabbed her shoulders and said, "I am more than serious, Rin. But are you okay with me and Seiya doing this?" Palastering her typical no problem smile on her face Rin said, "I am most pleased my lord as I was hoping such a thing would happen." Letting out a rare smirk Sesshomaru said, "I am glad that you are accepting of this Rin and I would like to ask you another question." Keeping her smile Rin said, "What do you wish to ask of me my lord?" Without even seeing Sesshomarus face Sei had a strong feeling of what the demon was about to ask and was glad of it even though he was a bit weirded out by it. Keeping his mouth shut Sei heard Sesshomaru ask, "When we are fully mated, I want you to consider us your parents if you like?"
Sei had the wind knocked out of him as he felt Rin tackle him to the ground and said, "Sei-san does that mean you'll be my new father." Gasping for breath Sei said, "I guess in a way although I'm only 8 years older than you." Glancing at the human Sesshomaru said, "It doesn't matter to her because she already considers you a father figure." Hugging his chest Rin said, "Lord Sesshomarus correct Sei-san. You are like a father to me so please allow me to call you father or papa." Pulling her close Seiya said, "Don't worry Rin you can call me that so long as you make sure Sesshomaru and I can figure out who you're talking too." Taking the girl off of the human Sesshomaru said, "You have to go now Rin so we can get dressed." Blushing Rin bowed and said, "Thank you for making me happy today." and dashed off and began talking loudly about what had just happened.
Chuckling at her enthusiasm Sei crawled over to Sesshomaru and kissed him lightly before saying, "I guess I should thank you for allowing me to care for her." Kissing back Sesshomaru said, "Do not worry about it, Koi. But now we need to get dressed so you can get home." Letting out a small groan of disappointment Seiya said, "Fine but you owe me the next time we see eachother." Nuzzling his kois neck Sesshomaru kissed the mark and rejoiced at the humans involuntary shudder and said, "Don't worry koi, you can get your revenge on me next time." Chuckling Sei got up and said, "Don't worry I will get you back." before getting his clothing on.
An hour and a half later, once the two decided to leave the back room and eat, Sei was sitting on the well and was discussing something with Sesshomaru and Rin when Inuyasha and Kagome appeared from the woods and yelled, "Are you ready?" Looking over Sesshomarus shoulder Seiya nodded and said, "I've been ready for the past 20 minutes." Walking up to his friend Inuyasha knocked him in the head and smirked as Sesshomaru let out a low growl at the gesture but was silenced when Sei said, "Don't worry he was just playing around." Snorting Inuyasha said, "He's luck that I don't crack his jaw." Glaring at his brother Sesshomaru was about to say something but wasn't given the chance to since Inuyasha had jumped through the well and was gone in a flash of light.
When Inuyasha was gone Kagome hugged Rin and said, "I'll see you soon, Rin and I'll bring you a gift from my side." Hugging the girl back Rin said, "Thank you Kagome-san for the birthday present." She patted the girls head and turned to Sesshomaru and to everyones surprise gave the demon a peck on the cheek before hopping through the well. Sei chuckled as he heard the gasps of Rin and Jaken, along with Sesshomarus eyes widening a bit at the gesture. Standing up he ruffled Rins hair and said, "You like the picture?" Grinning broadly Rin said, "Yes Sei-san. Thank you for the wonderful barrier around it." Smiling Sei said, "You're very welcome Rin," before glancing at Jaken and saying, "Jaken, I'll be seeing you." The toad demon nodded in response and went to bring Ah-Un closer to the well.
Leaning into his kois face Sei placed his lips on the demons and gave him a light kiss and said, "I'll be back soon okay? Say about a week or so?" Not saying anything Sesshomaru ran a claw on Seis mark and kissed him again and said, "That is fine. But it has to be exactly one week or I will find a way to break through the well." Feeling a slight pang in his heart Sei said, "Don't worry I'll be back in that time." And after giving the demon another light kiss Sei said, "I love you." But was a bit disappointed when Sesshomaru said, "I know you do. Now hurry along or my brother will come through and cause trouble." Letting out a small growl Sei waved goodbye to Rin and hopped through the well and went back home.
And now two days later he was in the front seat of an old style Mustang and was driving through the somewhat fast paced traffic of the evening while Inuyasha said, "So, are you going to break the news to your dad tonight?" Looking in the rearview mirror Sei said, "No I'm not. I may tell Michelle about Sesshomaru but if he can't come through the well what does it matter if my father knows about him or not?" Snorting Inuyasha said, "You people are really dense ya know that?" Smacking Inuyashas head Kagome asked, "What the hell do you mean by that?" Glaring at the girl Inuyasha said, "Well if he can get through the well, what makes him think Sesshomaru can't? I think it has something to do with you but why not have me throw him in the damn thing and see if he comes out on this side of the well?" Looking through the mirror Sei said, "You make an interesting point there, mutt boy. But I'll talk to him about it so you don't do a damn thing to him got it?"
Baring his fangs Inuyasha said, "Fine, but next time you call me mutt boy I get to sucker punch you." Laughing Sei said, "It's not a sucker punch if I know what to expect." Thinking about what his friend had just said Inuyasha remained silent for the last few minutes of the trip since all that was required for the ride to be over was Seiya giving the valet his keys and a tip. The valet just stared at the car and then at Sei who had a weird smile on his face and said, "Be careful with it." and opened the door to let his friends in before following suit. Sei hated going into restaraunts that had a dress code but he bit the bullet since it was his dads idea and telling Kagome and Inuyasha to stay put he headed up to the host and asked, "Is Mr.Mizutani here? He's expecting me and my friends."
The host gave Sei a snide look before checking the list and said, "Yes, he's expecting three people. Do you have proof that he is waiting for you?" Resisting the urge to clock the guy Seiya pulled out his wallet and said, "Recognize this guy?" The waiters eyes bulged as he said, "I'm sorry sir for the problem, please bring your friends with you and I will lead you to his table." Smirking at the hosts reaction to seeing him with his dad Sei whistled over to Inuyasha and Kagome and they followed the waiter to a back booth and walked right up to his dad and gave him a strong hug before giving Michelle a much more gentle hug.
When the host left Kagome walked forward and said, "It's good to see you again Mizutani-san." Chuckling Robert hugged Kagome and said, "You're an adult now so we can go by first names." Stepping back Kagome blushed and said, "Sorry about that.....Robert." When she stepped away Robert gave Kagome over to Michelle who pulled the girl in strongly and said, "I'm sorry I missed you the last time I went to your house." Giggling happily Kagome said, "It's all right Michelle-chan, I had to deal with some things. Mainly this guy right here." Stepping away from the family Kagome grabbed Inuyashas arm and said, "This is my fiancee, Inuyasha.....Taisho." Inuyasha flashed a look at her out of the side of his eye before reaching his hand out and giving Mr.Mizutani a quick shake and a bow before doing the same with Michelle.
Letting out a small cough Inuyasha said, "It's a pleasure to meet the both of you." Smiling Robert said, "The same goes to you Inuyasha. That is quite an old fashioned name you have there." Chuckling nervously Inuyasha scratched his head and said, "It's a family name." Michelle put a hand to her mouth to keep herself from laughing at how cute the hanyou looked while explaining and said, "Nice to see a bit of tradition now a days, well I'm not really one for tradition but it's sort of refreshing to see it sometimes." Inuyasha continued to laugh for a moment until Sei said, "Okay, why don't we get settled in and eat."
Sitting down at the table Sei almost burst out laughing as Inuyasha began scarffing down rolls while the girls started small talk. It took a moment but when the waiter came the all ordered their drinks and were told that they didn't need to order any meals since Mr. Mizutani had already pre-ordered the meal. Left with nothing to worry over Michelle said, "So Inuyasha do you have any family?" The question caught the hanyou off guard and he started to choke a little on his roll and it took a few good swats to the back and a full glass of water before the bread worked it's way down his throat as he said with a raspy voice, "I have a half brother from my fathers first marriage. We're not exactly close but we tolerate each other. But other than that Kagomes family is the only real family I have since my father died the day I was born and my mother died when I was young."
The table grew really quiet at his answer and it was a moment before Michelle quietly said, "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to pry I was just..." but she was cut off as Inuyasha said, "It's all right. I'm over it and there's no point brooding about it so no harm done." He flashed her a reassuring smile and he was glad to see her face relax before Robert said, "You better take care of this girl right here or else this guy will have something to say about it." Inuyasha grinned viciously when he realized that Robert was talking about Sei and said, "Don't worry, we have an understanding and besides I don't plan on leaving her." Kagome blushed as Inuyasha pulled her in and kissed her head and said, "Inuyasha stop it, besides the food's here."
At the mention of food being around Inuyasha looked for chopsticks but was disappointed to find only some knives and forks on the table. He didn't mind using the untensils since Kagome had taught him but he preferred chopsticks or his hands, but since that wasn't an option he used what little amount of table manners he had and ate with the knife and fork. The dinner went well, Seiya was discussing the family business with his father and was glad that he'd helped his dad figure out how to deal with some annoying clients, while Inuyasha was being drilled by Michelle about the food as Kagome did her best to shield herself from Inuyashas hands of fury.
When the meal was done Kagome was sipping at a glass of wine and was laughing at some of Roberts stories, and Seiya had taken to discussing the baby with Michelle. It may seem odd to others but he was twenty-two and was just now getting a younger sibling so he wanted to know everything. Giggling at his latest question Michelle said, "We decided not to know the sex so you won't know anything about it." Snorting Sei looked to his father and said, "Dad, did you really agree not to know the kids gender?" Looking over his brandy glass Robert nodded and said, "Yup, I thought why not let it be a surprise this time around. And this way she can have fun making a nursery fit for either a boy or a girl." Shaking his head Sei said, "I remember when mom told me how she got mad at the fact that I was supposed to be a girl but turned out to be a boy and she had to take back a bunch of things." Robert gave out a small chuckle and said, "Yeah, we later learned that you had turned during the sonogram so the doctor had made a mistake and your mother gave him an ear full." Setting his glass down he took Michelles hand in his and said, "I'm sorry we're discussing this around you." The lady waved it away and said, "It's all right to talk about her how often do I have to tell you that. It's better to discuss her than to deny the fact that she ever existed."
When she finished saying that Kagome coughed and said, "Inuyasha there's a dance floor." Looking at Kagome, Inuyasha said, "What's your poiNT!!!" and the hanyou figured it out as Kagome stepped on his foot and dragged him over to the dance floor. While Kagome tried her best to teach the hanyou to dance Robert asked Seiya to let him out and when he was gone from the booth he blew Michelle a kiss and headed toward the bathroom. With the table to themselves Seiya said, "I didn't mean to bring my mother up." Michelle sipped her water and said, "She was your mother so talk about her all you want. I told you I'm not here to replace her, I'm just here to be a part of yours and your fathers lives." Sei smiled and said, "I know you don't mind so I'll stop apologizing for it."
Michelle gave a curt nod and said, "Good, now have you found anybody?" Sei choked on his own water and said, "You're nosy you know that?" Michelle laughed impishly and said, "I just want to know what's going on, so answer the question!" Shaking his head Sei said, "Yes, as a matter of fact I have." The woman held in a squeal of joy and asked, "So what's this mystery man like?" Chuckling Sei said, "About my height, beautiful eyes, a sultry voice, he's well built and is a bit distant but he's a good man and I'm sure he's the one." Michelle beamed at this news and gripped her step sons hand and said, "So what's this guys name?" Swallowing a big lump in his throat Sei said, "Sesshomaru Taisho is his name." Michelles eyes grew wide and said, "Inuyashas brother?" Sei nodded and said, "Yes, but that's all I'm telling you for now." Michelle knew by the tone of Seis voice that he didn't want to press the subject and said, "All right I understand, it's a new relationship and you're in love so I have all the info I need."
The evening finished without a hitch and soon Inuyasha and Kagome were lying comfortably asleep in Seis bed while the young man held the picture of him and his new, "family," and said, "Good night, Rin. Good night, koi." Five hundred years in the past Rin turned in her sleep to warm her back against the fire while Sesshomaru stared at the moon and pictured his hazel eyed angel and said, "Good night, Seiya."

Rin was oblivious to the looks of the two men and walked in and set the clothes next to Sei and smiled the human and said, "Good morning, Sei-san. Did you sleep well?" Not even recognizing the question that was addressed to him Sei asked, "Rin did you see anything when you came in?" Rin looked at him in a confused sort of way and said, "No, Sei-san. I didn't get the clothes this morning, Kagome-san did and said that Sesshomaru-sama needed his clothes taken to him once they were dried." Walking over Sesshomaru crouched down and said, "Rin, I must tell you something very important so listen closely." Looking at her lord Rin asked, "What's the matter my lord?" Keeping his eyes on the girl Sesshomaru said, "Rin, do you remember when I asked you about mating with Shippou?" Nodding Rin said, "Yes my lord but what does that have to do with anything?" Looking to Sei and nodding at him Sesshomaru turned back to the girl and said, "Rin, Seiya and I are in the process of mating."
Her eyes bugging Rin asked, "Is my lord serious about you and Sei-san mating?" Nodding Sesshomaru grabbed her shoulders and said, "I am more than serious, Rin. But are you okay with me and Seiya doing this?" Palastering her typical no problem smile on her face Rin said, "I am most pleased my lord as I was hoping such a thing would happen." Letting out a rare smirk Sesshomaru said, "I am glad that you are accepting of this Rin and I would like to ask you another question." Keeping her smile Rin said, "What do you wish to ask of me my lord?" Without even seeing Sesshomarus face Sei had a strong feeling of what the demon was about to ask and was glad of it even though he was a bit weirded out by it. Keeping his mouth shut Sei heard Sesshomaru ask, "When we are fully mated, I want you to consider us your parents if you like?"
Sei had the wind knocked out of him as he felt Rin tackle him to the ground and said, "Sei-san does that mean you'll be my new father." Gasping for breath Sei said, "I guess in a way although I'm only 8 years older than you." Glancing at the human Sesshomaru said, "It doesn't matter to her because she already considers you a father figure." Hugging his chest Rin said, "Lord Sesshomarus correct Sei-san. You are like a father to me so please allow me to call you father or papa." Pulling her close Seiya said, "Don't worry Rin you can call me that so long as you make sure Sesshomaru and I can figure out who you're talking too." Taking the girl off of the human Sesshomaru said, "You have to go now Rin so we can get dressed." Blushing Rin bowed and said, "Thank you for making me happy today." and dashed off and began talking loudly about what had just happened.
Chuckling at her enthusiasm Sei crawled over to Sesshomaru and kissed him lightly before saying, "I guess I should thank you for allowing me to care for her." Kissing back Sesshomaru said, "Do not worry about it, Koi. But now we need to get dressed so you can get home." Letting out a small groan of disappointment Seiya said, "Fine but you owe me the next time we see eachother." Nuzzling his kois neck Sesshomaru kissed the mark and rejoiced at the humans involuntary shudder and said, "Don't worry koi, you can get your revenge on me next time." Chuckling Sei got up and said, "Don't worry I will get you back." before getting his clothing on.
An hour and a half later, once the two decided to leave the back room and eat, Sei was sitting on the well and was discussing something with Sesshomaru and Rin when Inuyasha and Kagome appeared from the woods and yelled, "Are you ready?" Looking over Sesshomarus shoulder Seiya nodded and said, "I've been ready for the past 20 minutes." Walking up to his friend Inuyasha knocked him in the head and smirked as Sesshomaru let out a low growl at the gesture but was silenced when Sei said, "Don't worry he was just playing around." Snorting Inuyasha said, "He's luck that I don't crack his jaw." Glaring at his brother Sesshomaru was about to say something but wasn't given the chance to since Inuyasha had jumped through the well and was gone in a flash of light.
When Inuyasha was gone Kagome hugged Rin and said, "I'll see you soon, Rin and I'll bring you a gift from my side." Hugging the girl back Rin said, "Thank you Kagome-san for the birthday present." She patted the girls head and turned to Sesshomaru and to everyones surprise gave the demon a peck on the cheek before hopping through the well. Sei chuckled as he heard the gasps of Rin and Jaken, along with Sesshomarus eyes widening a bit at the gesture. Standing up he ruffled Rins hair and said, "You like the picture?" Grinning broadly Rin said, "Yes Sei-san. Thank you for the wonderful barrier around it." Smiling Sei said, "You're very welcome Rin," before glancing at Jaken and saying, "Jaken, I'll be seeing you." The toad demon nodded in response and went to bring Ah-Un closer to the well.
Leaning into his kois face Sei placed his lips on the demons and gave him a light kiss and said, "I'll be back soon okay? Say about a week or so?" Not saying anything Sesshomaru ran a claw on Seis mark and kissed him again and said, "That is fine. But it has to be exactly one week or I will find a way to break through the well." Feeling a slight pang in his heart Sei said, "Don't worry I'll be back in that time." And after giving the demon another light kiss Sei said, "I love you." But was a bit disappointed when Sesshomaru said, "I know you do. Now hurry along or my brother will come through and cause trouble." Letting out a small growl Sei waved goodbye to Rin and hopped through the well and went back home.
And now two days later he was in the front seat of an old style Mustang and was driving through the somewhat fast paced traffic of the evening while Inuyasha said, "So, are you going to break the news to your dad tonight?" Looking in the rearview mirror Sei said, "No I'm not. I may tell Michelle about Sesshomaru but if he can't come through the well what does it matter if my father knows about him or not?" Snorting Inuyasha said, "You people are really dense ya know that?" Smacking Inuyashas head Kagome asked, "What the hell do you mean by that?" Glaring at the girl Inuyasha said, "Well if he can get through the well, what makes him think Sesshomaru can't? I think it has something to do with you but why not have me throw him in the damn thing and see if he comes out on this side of the well?" Looking through the mirror Sei said, "You make an interesting point there, mutt boy. But I'll talk to him about it so you don't do a damn thing to him got it?"
Baring his fangs Inuyasha said, "Fine, but next time you call me mutt boy I get to sucker punch you." Laughing Sei said, "It's not a sucker punch if I know what to expect." Thinking about what his friend had just said Inuyasha remained silent for the last few minutes of the trip since all that was required for the ride to be over was Seiya giving the valet his keys and a tip. The valet just stared at the car and then at Sei who had a weird smile on his face and said, "Be careful with it." and opened the door to let his friends in before following suit. Sei hated going into restaraunts that had a dress code but he bit the bullet since it was his dads idea and telling Kagome and Inuyasha to stay put he headed up to the host and asked, "Is Mr.Mizutani here? He's expecting me and my friends."
The host gave Sei a snide look before checking the list and said, "Yes, he's expecting three people. Do you have proof that he is waiting for you?" Resisting the urge to clock the guy Seiya pulled out his wallet and said, "Recognize this guy?" The waiters eyes bulged as he said, "I'm sorry sir for the problem, please bring your friends with you and I will lead you to his table." Smirking at the hosts reaction to seeing him with his dad Sei whistled over to Inuyasha and Kagome and they followed the waiter to a back booth and walked right up to his dad and gave him a strong hug before giving Michelle a much more gentle hug.
When the host left Kagome walked forward and said, "It's good to see you again Mizutani-san." Chuckling Robert hugged Kagome and said, "You're an adult now so we can go by first names." Stepping back Kagome blushed and said, "Sorry about that.....Robert." When she stepped away Robert gave Kagome over to Michelle who pulled the girl in strongly and said, "I'm sorry I missed you the last time I went to your house." Giggling happily Kagome said, "It's all right Michelle-chan, I had to deal with some things. Mainly this guy right here." Stepping away from the family Kagome grabbed Inuyashas arm and said, "This is my fiancee, Inuyasha.....Taisho." Inuyasha flashed a look at her out of the side of his eye before reaching his hand out and giving Mr.Mizutani a quick shake and a bow before doing the same with Michelle.
Letting out a small cough Inuyasha said, "It's a pleasure to meet the both of you." Smiling Robert said, "The same goes to you Inuyasha. That is quite an old fashioned name you have there." Chuckling nervously Inuyasha scratched his head and said, "It's a family name." Michelle put a hand to her mouth to keep herself from laughing at how cute the hanyou looked while explaining and said, "Nice to see a bit of tradition now a days, well I'm not really one for tradition but it's sort of refreshing to see it sometimes." Inuyasha continued to laugh for a moment until Sei said, "Okay, why don't we get settled in and eat."
Sitting down at the table Sei almost burst out laughing as Inuyasha began scarffing down rolls while the girls started small talk. It took a moment but when the waiter came the all ordered their drinks and were told that they didn't need to order any meals since Mr. Mizutani had already pre-ordered the meal. Left with nothing to worry over Michelle said, "So Inuyasha do you have any family?" The question caught the hanyou off guard and he started to choke a little on his roll and it took a few good swats to the back and a full glass of water before the bread worked it's way down his throat as he said with a raspy voice, "I have a half brother from my fathers first marriage. We're not exactly close but we tolerate each other. But other than that Kagomes family is the only real family I have since my father died the day I was born and my mother died when I was young."
The table grew really quiet at his answer and it was a moment before Michelle quietly said, "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to pry I was just..." but she was cut off as Inuyasha said, "It's all right. I'm over it and there's no point brooding about it so no harm done." He flashed her a reassuring smile and he was glad to see her face relax before Robert said, "You better take care of this girl right here or else this guy will have something to say about it." Inuyasha grinned viciously when he realized that Robert was talking about Sei and said, "Don't worry, we have an understanding and besides I don't plan on leaving her." Kagome blushed as Inuyasha pulled her in and kissed her head and said, "Inuyasha stop it, besides the food's here."
At the mention of food being around Inuyasha looked for chopsticks but was disappointed to find only some knives and forks on the table. He didn't mind using the untensils since Kagome had taught him but he preferred chopsticks or his hands, but since that wasn't an option he used what little amount of table manners he had and ate with the knife and fork. The dinner went well, Seiya was discussing the family business with his father and was glad that he'd helped his dad figure out how to deal with some annoying clients, while Inuyasha was being drilled by Michelle about the food as Kagome did her best to shield herself from Inuyashas hands of fury.
When the meal was done Kagome was sipping at a glass of wine and was laughing at some of Roberts stories, and Seiya had taken to discussing the baby with Michelle. It may seem odd to others but he was twenty-two and was just now getting a younger sibling so he wanted to know everything. Giggling at his latest question Michelle said, "We decided not to know the sex so you won't know anything about it." Snorting Sei looked to his father and said, "Dad, did you really agree not to know the kids gender?" Looking over his brandy glass Robert nodded and said, "Yup, I thought why not let it be a surprise this time around. And this way she can have fun making a nursery fit for either a boy or a girl." Shaking his head Sei said, "I remember when mom told me how she got mad at the fact that I was supposed to be a girl but turned out to be a boy and she had to take back a bunch of things." Robert gave out a small chuckle and said, "Yeah, we later learned that you had turned during the sonogram so the doctor had made a mistake and your mother gave him an ear full." Setting his glass down he took Michelles hand in his and said, "I'm sorry we're discussing this around you." The lady waved it away and said, "It's all right to talk about her how often do I have to tell you that. It's better to discuss her than to deny the fact that she ever existed."
When she finished saying that Kagome coughed and said, "Inuyasha there's a dance floor." Looking at Kagome, Inuyasha said, "What's your poiNT!!!" and the hanyou figured it out as Kagome stepped on his foot and dragged him over to the dance floor. While Kagome tried her best to teach the hanyou to dance Robert asked Seiya to let him out and when he was gone from the booth he blew Michelle a kiss and headed toward the bathroom. With the table to themselves Seiya said, "I didn't mean to bring my mother up." Michelle sipped her water and said, "She was your mother so talk about her all you want. I told you I'm not here to replace her, I'm just here to be a part of yours and your fathers lives." Sei smiled and said, "I know you don't mind so I'll stop apologizing for it."
Michelle gave a curt nod and said, "Good, now have you found anybody?" Sei choked on his own water and said, "You're nosy you know that?" Michelle laughed impishly and said, "I just want to know what's going on, so answer the question!" Shaking his head Sei said, "Yes, as a matter of fact I have." The woman held in a squeal of joy and asked, "So what's this mystery man like?" Chuckling Sei said, "About my height, beautiful eyes, a sultry voice, he's well built and is a bit distant but he's a good man and I'm sure he's the one." Michelle beamed at this news and gripped her step sons hand and said, "So what's this guys name?" Swallowing a big lump in his throat Sei said, "Sesshomaru Taisho is his name." Michelles eyes grew wide and said, "Inuyashas brother?" Sei nodded and said, "Yes, but that's all I'm telling you for now." Michelle knew by the tone of Seis voice that he didn't want to press the subject and said, "All right I understand, it's a new relationship and you're in love so I have all the info I need."
The evening finished without a hitch and soon Inuyasha and Kagome were lying comfortably asleep in Seis bed while the young man held the picture of him and his new, "family," and said, "Good night, Rin. Good night, koi." Five hundred years in the past Rin turned in her sleep to warm her back against the fire while Sesshomaru stared at the moon and pictured his hazel eyed angel and said, "Good night, Seiya."
Next chapter will be about....Je ne sais quas. R&R
