Chapter 25
Sesshomaru had just spent two days in the hospital awaiting the birth of his mates younger brother, granted he wasn’t too concerned with the birth of the human, but it was making Sesshomaru go over some things that he should have told Seiya when they started courting, yet the demon couldn’t bring himself to tell the boy many of the things he wanted to. The odd thing was that his father had expressed through suggestion that he knew of that the possibility of Seiya becoming a father went beyond adoption or another procedure called artificial insemination.
Robert knew that during certain months male demons were granted the ability to conceive children. The good thing about that was it only occurred if the male was mated to another demon and thus they could reproduce. Yet, should the demon be mated like his brother had mated then that ability never came into play. Sesshomaru however was part of the former and since he viewed Seiya as an equal, Sesshomaru knew that at some point he would be the submissive one. Growing frustrated at not being able to read it, the demon put the items back into the drawer and headed back to bed. I know we just mated and stuff. But in the future do you think we can adopt since we cant’ reproduce on our own?”

Gathering up the clothes, Seiya threw them into the hamper before heading out into the living room to find, Sesshomaru making a small sandwich. Taking a seat on the couch, Sei flipped on the t.v. just as the sound of running water hit his ears. Looking at his room he saw Rin blushing furiously saying, “Sorry about that.” Waving it away, Seiya looked at the girl and said, “Don’t worry about it. I’m just surprised you knew how to use the thing.” Hopping on the couch, Rin watched her adoptive father closely before saying, “Do those hurt, Papa?” Looking down at his chest, Sei shook his head as he said, “No, the memories of what happened after the attack do. You have dreams about it?” Shrugging the girl said, “Sometimes, but they aren’t that bad.” Smiling happily at the girls lack of nightmares, Seiya stopped on a news channel before saying, “Hopefully it stays that way.”
Sitting on the arm of the couch, Sesshomaru pulled the human in close before saying to the girl, “Your papa has nightmares sometimes. But, it’s our job to keep them away from him.” Leaning his head against the demons body, Sei looked at the girl asking, “Can you help with that, Rin?” Moving next to him, Rin laid her head in the lap of her adoptive father and in a giggling voice said, “As long as you stop wrestling in bed, I’ll make sure to keep you safe from bad dreams.” Snorting a bit, Sei looked up at his mate, who in typical fashion remained as stoic as ever, before patting the girls head saying, “You got a deal.”

That is all you need to know at this time.” Snorting a bit, Sei threw his own arm around the demons chest and said, “Well what do you think about kids?” Looking down at his mate, Sesshomaru arched an eyebrow as he asked, “Do you mean in the sense of raising them or just in generalities?” Drawing small circles on the demons stomach, Sei shrugged heavily before saying, “In terms of raising them. I know we just mated and stuff. But in the future do you think we can adopt since we cant’ reproduce on our own?”
Feeling a pang of guilt, Sesshomaru stayed silent for a long time, which to Sei meant, “I don’t want anything to do with them.” Sighing loudly, Sei rubbed his head against the demons chest before falling into a deep sleep as Sesshomaru stared up at the ceiling. And sleep the human did since, it was well past eleven in the morning by the time he woke up from his sleep. Crawling across the bed, Sei rested his chin on the demons head and asked, “How’re you feeling?” Grunting sleepily, Sesshomaru sat still as he said, “Besides a slightly annoyed neck, I’m fine.” Rolling his eyes, Seiya rubbed the demons neck a bit as he said, “That’s what you get for wearing it that long.” Not saying anything, Sesshomaru let out a loud purr as his mates slightly rough hands worked out the small kinks that had grown in his neck. Thinking that the demon may want a small replay of the previous nights events, Seiya began to move his hands down the demons back, while making the occasional stop to rub a few knots. Shaking his head, Sesshomaru walked forward and placed a kiss on Seis lips as he headed out the door. Gathering up the clothes, Seiya threw them into the hamper before heading out into the living room to find, Sesshomaru making a small sandwich. Taking a seat on the couch, Sei flipped on the t.v. just as the sound of running water hit his ears. Looking at his room he saw Rin blushing furiously saying, “Sorry about that.” Waving it away, Seiya looked at the girl and said, “Don’t worry about it. I’m just surprised you knew how to use the thing.” Hopping on the couch, Rin watched her adoptive father closely before saying, “Do those hurt, Papa?” Looking down at his chest, Sei shook his head as he said, “No, the memories of what happened after the attack do. You have dreams about it?” Shrugging the girl said, “Sometimes, but they aren’t that bad.” Smiling happily at the girls lack of nightmares, Seiya stopped on a news channel before saying, “Hopefully it stays that way.”
Sitting on the arm of the couch, Sesshomaru pulled the human in close before saying to the girl, “Your papa has nightmares sometimes. But, it’s our job to keep them away from him.” Leaning his head against the demons body, Sei looked at the girl asking, “Can you help with that, Rin?” Moving next to him, Rin laid her head in the lap of her adoptive father and in a giggling voice said, “As long as you stop wrestling in bed, I’ll make sure to keep you safe from bad dreams.” Snorting a bit, Sei looked up at his mate, who in typical fashion remained as stoic as ever, before patting the girls head saying, “You got a deal.”
