Chapter 1: The Betrayal

Kagome Athena Higurashi walked out of New York Film Academy. It was like any other day that went by in her life. A lonely day, a very lonely day. Her `friend's' weren't there to keep her company. No, they were far away from her. In fact, they weren't `friend's' at all, just acquaintances, or maybe strangers. Kagome didn't have any friends, they deserted her along time ago, all because of a stupid rumour. Kagome grieved the loss every night, but it seemed like they didn't care. So she did the one thing that she was good at, run.

Everyday Kagome wondered what would have happened if she had stayed in Tokyo Japan. She always wanted to go back, to his mother and father, but she knew she couldn't. She couldn't face the wrath of all the people there that wanted her dead. There was no use in daydreaming that they would run back to her. They made it very clear that they hated her, that all they wanted was to boil her alive. And she wasn't going to die yet, she still had the rest of her life to live right?

"Who is our next young one?" a lady dressed in all white asked her partner.

"Kagome Athena Higurashi," the man beside her answered.

"Show me this girl," the lady ordered. The water in the crystal see through bowl started to form a hazy picture, slowly it got clear. In the bowl of water, the two saw Kagome Athena Higurashi. Kagome was dressed in a pair of hip huggers, and a simple white t-shirt with converse shoes. On her arms were wrist bands, two on each arm.

"She seems like a normal girl, why is she the next one?" the lady asked confused.

"Look closer love," the man answered. The woman did as she was told, she looked closer at the girl, especially her face. After a few minuets, she gasped. She looked at the man beside her eyes wide with shock. The man just nodded.

"It can't be her, we lost her a thousand years ago," the lady said.

"It is her, she has been reincarnated. Along with the rest," the man replied.

"But, they have been reincarnated so many times, and the same thing happens," the lady said.

"This time, it won't. The rest have deserted her," the man said.

"Don't tell me that what happened 1000 years ago will repeat itself," The lady in white asked.

"I'm afraid it will, unless they both remember," The man answered.

"At least her name is the same, except for the Higurashi part," The lady replied. She was reluctant to believe that what happened years ago would happen again.

"You can say that," The man said chuckling slightly.

"What is the other reincarnation's name?" She asked.

"Sesshoumaru Apollo Masaharu," He answered. The lady gasped, and shook her head.

"It can't be! It just can't be!" The lady said shaking her head.

"It is, and if he remembers, all will be fine," the man answered.

"What if it happens again?" she asked timidly.

"Than, it happens," the man answered. "But, I am sure that if he remembers, it won't have to happen."

*One Thousand Years Ago*

Zeus was pacing his palace nervously. The Kami's were suppose to be there for the monthly meeting. But they had to cancel it, because Athena's daughter and Apollo's son had gone missing again. Often they would find the two walking and holding hands, or Athena's daughter resting against Apollo's son. Everyone knew of the love that the two held for each other. And everyone around them were so much inspired to find their perfect someone. Everyone was so happy that two people born of the Kami's were this committed to each other.

Zeus was happy that his fellow Kami had born such lovely children. But something just wasn't quite right. He felt something happen just now, and he whatever he felt he knew that it wasn't good. He heard a loud explosion, he quickly went outside to see what it was. What he saw, didn't please the great Kami. No, it angered him. It angered this great lord to see such a beautiful creature so broken, so hurt. He went to her, and placed his arms around her trying to comfort her. She held on to him tightly, as if she needed to hold on to him for survival.

"Kagome, what is wrong?" Zeus asked. Kagome Athena, was the daughter of the Kami Athena, also his daughter. Hera wasn't that fond of Kagome when she was born, but as time went on, she started to see her as a daughter. But that didn't mean that she had to forgive Athena for having a little `fun' with her husband. Hera was very possessive of Zeus. And until now, she still hasn't talked to Athena, and that was just fine with the Kami. And so, as the years went on, and the more time Zeus spent with his daughter, the more attached he became to her, the more protective he became.

"I saw him, I saw him! He betrayed me," Kagome cried into his shoulders.

"I beg your pardon?" Zeus asked.

"Sesshoumaru Apollo! He betrayed me with her!" Kagome cried.

"Dear me, with who if I may inquire?" Zeus asked curiously. Slowly, the blood in his body started to boil with anger. `He dare to hurt his little girl?!' They would pay with such insolence!

"Kikyou Amphitrite," Kagome whispered.

"Poseidon and Amphitrite's daughter?" Zeus said shocked.

"Yes. Years she tried to seduce Sesshoumaru, but it didn't work father. And now, she has succeeded," Kagome whispered. She pulled away from her father and wiped her eyes. That was fruitless because tears kept falling from them.

"Zeus, I heard a loud explosion and I came to see what happened," Hera said descending from the stairs. Once she saw Kagome's tear stained face she gasped.

"Kagome, darling what happened?" Hera asked concerned.

"Sesshoumaru Apollo betrayed her, with Kikyou Amphitrite. Poseidon and Amphitrite's daughter," Zeus explained for Kagome.

"Oh dear," Hera said. She was shocked.

"Father, the rest of the Kami are here. They are in the meeting room," Hermes said appearing around the corner. He stopped walking once he saw his half-sister in a broken mess trying to stand up. He rushed over to aide her.

"Dear sister, what's wrong?" He asked concerned for her well being. Kagome looked at him and shook her head and clung to him.

"Let us go. We shall deal with this form betrayal in the meeting room," Zeus said. Kagome looked up at her father. She knew that she was making a big deal of things, because it was known that the Kami's were to play around a bit. But she never thought that she would be a victim of it. She wanted so badly to die. Screw it! But she just had to be immortal.

"Father, kill me now," Kagome whispered.

"What?" Zeus roared. This was his only daughter, and here she was asking him to take her life away. `Was she hurt that badly?' Zeus asked himself. He would kill, whoever made his little girl want to die. He would make sure, that Sesshoumaru Apollo never see day again. Kagome winced as her father roared. Hermes held onto his sister tightly. He couldn't bare to see her this way, but to ask for death and being an immortal as well. Whoever caused her this much pain were surely asking for death, messing with Zeus' children were one thing, but them asking for death that was a whole new matter. And Hermes knew it.

Hera walked beside her husband trying to calm him down, she had heard what her stepdaughter had said, and was frankly surprised at it. Never in her life, had she seen or heard an immortal ask for their life to be taken away from them. She knew that her husband was one not to take it lightly. She just hoped that Sesshoumaru Apollo and Kikyou Amphitrite would beg for their lives or better yet, beg to make up for it.

"Dear, I'm sure she didn't mean it," Hera said.

"Father, I'm sorry. I just don't know how to live anymore, please ask Uncle Hades to take my soul," Kagome begged. She knew she was stepping out of line. But she didn't care, she had never in her life felt this much pain.

"I will do no such thing," Zeus said menacingly.

"Father I beg of you!" Kagome cried.

"Never!" Zeus roared as he opened the doors to the meeting room.

"Brother, what has happened that has gotten you so angry?" Poseidon asked concerned.

"What was the first rule that I made clear to every Kami, and human alike when Sesshoumaru and Kagome first got together?" Zeus roared as he walked over to his seat. Kagome and Hermes silently followed their father into the room. Athena looked up once she saw her daughter's tear stained face. She hoped that it had nothing to do with Sesshoumaru but she had a really deep feeling that it did. Athena almost cursed Kikyou to oblivion if Poseidon hadn't stopped her. Because, Athena had seen Kikyou succeed in seducing Sesshoumaru.

"Answer me!" Zeus roared. Poseidon gulped, he knew very well that his daughter planned on stealing Sesshoumaru away from Kagome from the very start. But he didn't know that she would succeed in seducing him. Kikyou shot Kagome a glare, `the bitch went and told her daddy? She's going to pay.' Zeus caught the glare Kikyou gave his daughter.

"Kikyou explain yourself!" Zeus screamed in fury. Kikyou's attention immediately went to the Kami.

"I have no idea what you are talking about uncle," Kikyou said calmly.

"Sesshoumaru?" Zeus asked calmly. `Zeus calm, and angry does not equal good,' Hera thought.

"I have not a clue what you are talking about," Sesshoumaru stated calmly. `Kuso, he can't have found out.'

"Then can somebody please explain to me why my daughter here is in tears. Why my daughter wishes Hades to take her soul away, and can somebody please tell me what was the first rule that I made when Sesshoumaru and Kagome got together," Zeus stated. Everyone in the room gasped, never had an immortal wanted their life taken away.

"If I may brother, your first rule was that no one to come between such love that was shared between your daughter and Apollo's son," Hades said gazing at his lovely niece. He had not a clue what happened, but from the rage that his brother was exerting, it wasn't good.

"Exactly, then can someone please tell me what happened this last hour or so?" Zeus asked rage boiling in his blood more and more.

Everyone went silent, half the Kami's in the room knew what happened. The other half, had not a clue. Zeus was getting impatient. He was on the verge of wanting to go up to Sesshoumaru and Kikyou and watch their blood spill.

"Anyone care to explain?!?!?!" Zeus roared in outrage! `How dare they defy me!'

"Dear, I don't think anyone is willing to talk," Hera said silently.

"Very well then," Zeus said.

"Kikyou, please tell me why you dare defy my orders and rules. In fact, I'm pretty sure your father also arranged this rule as well as Hades. Now explain yourself," Zeus commanded.

"I have not a clue what you accuse me of," Kikyou answered calmly.

"You lie to me?" Zeus asked.

"I am not lying," Kikyou said. She was nervous, but she couldn't blow it now. Not when everything was for once going right in her life.

"Sesshoumaru, why would you betray your love?" Hera asked. She just couldn't stand it. She thought that the man loved her stepdaughter. And he has gone and commit a crime, well, broken a rule.

"I am sorry," Sesshoumaru started. Kikyou felt like she was falling down to Hades' underworld.

"No, don't do it," Kikyou whispered.

"I didn't mean to hurt you Kagome, your cousin, she did something. I do not know what, but she did. She made me feel the way you did whenever we were together, it confused me because I have never felt that way around her before. Then, she kissed me, I am sorry. Please forgive me," Sesshoumaru said looking at Kagome. Kagome looked at him as well. She would forgive him, but she didn't know if she could be with someone after they betrayed her.

Sesshoumaru never looked away from Kagome. He looked in her eyes, he could tell that she forgave him, but something else was there that he couldn't detect. He watch her slowly shake her head. `No,' Sesshoumaru thought. `This can't be happening to me.'

"Kagome, you have something to say?" Zeus asked his daughter. Kagome nodded her head.

"Sesshoumaru I accept your apology," Kagome said. Murmurs around the room erupted immediately, some Kami's were saying `Good. Everything can go back to normal.' some were saying `No! She can't do that! He betrayed her! She's being a huge baka.'

"But," Kagome started, this stopped the murmurs.

"I do not know if I should take you back," Kagome whispered. Everyone heard her. Zeus nodded, he would grant his daughter her wish. He would take away her life, but not as so. Not as punishment, but as a way for her to forget, and remember and forgive.

"I have come to a decision," Zeus said after a few minutes.

"Kagome, do you still wish your life be taken away from you?" Zeus asked.

"Yes father," Kagome said. `Will he do it?'

"Then it shall be done. But not the way you think," Zeus started.

"Your life will in fact be taken away from you. But your soul shall live on, and since Kikyou, and Sesshoumaru have taken part in this betrayal so to speak, they will have the same done to them. Your souls will go from person to person, until you meet face to face. Then your souls will try to awaken you, to make you remember, and if it is too late for you to remember, you will suffer the consequences. And it shall repeat once again," Zeus said. Kikyou stared at Zeus awestruck. Surely she can't take part in this.

"Uncle, surely you don't mean that!" Kikyou protested.

"Do not talk! And if your parents will give me the consent it shall happen," Zeus said. Apollo and Poseidon nodded their heads, Zeus looked over to Athena, she nodded her head.

"Then it shall be done," Zeus roared. He looked over to Hades and nodded. Hades lifted his staff and the souls of Kagome Athena, Sesshoumaru Apollo, and Kikyou Amphirtite were not a part of their body any longer.

*Present*

Sesshoumaru Apollo Taisho bumped into a petite Japanese girl. He looked at her, and helped picked up the books she was carrying.

"Gomen," Sesshoumaru said.

"It's okay, arigato for your help," Kagome said she looked up at the man. He had long silver blond hair. His eyes were an amber colour and he had white porcelain skin. She guessed that he was well built. And she couldn't help but feel like he had betrayed her in some way, wait he looked just like someone she knew but who? That's it! Inuyasha Taisho! Her best-friend, yet he left her as well.

Sesshoumaru looked at the girl, she had jet black hair, and sapphire eyes. Her skin was lightly tanned and had full luscious lips. He couldn't help but feel that he had failed and betrayed her, and guilt washed over him. He nodded his head and left.

"Don't leave me again," Kagome whispered. She didn't know what made her say that but she hoped that he didn't hear. But he did, and he found himself whispering also.

"I won't,"
