Kagome spots a village as they flew. `I knew I should've stocked up! God, I hope Sesshomaru doesn't snap at me or anything!'

“Um, Sesshomaru?”

“Yes?”

“Can we stop by that village over there for a sec? I'd like to stock up on things.”

He looked at her suspiciously. “What kind of things?”

When they landed, the villagers screamed and ran. “It's a demon! RUN!”

Sesshomaru looked disgusted. The streets of the market place were so empty. Kagome went about taking the foods she liked… for free, since no one was there to pay. She kept a close eye on Sesshomaru though. He was unpredictable and she was afraid he might attack some innocent villager. Sesshomaru followed her, but not too close. Just before Kagome could finished, a horn sounded. Demon-slayers hired by the king to guard the huge village began streaming out from every corner. They had the two surrounded and were ready to attack. Sesshomaru glared at them, waiting for someone to make the first move. The head demon-slayer stepped forward. “Why have you come and disturbed the peace of the village? Speak!” Sesshomaru growled.

“We're here to gather supplies for a long journey we have ahead! Please don't attack!” Kagome answered for him.

“I believe he was questioning me.”

“Sesshomaru! Now's not the time for quarrels!”

The demon-slayer stepped closer to Sesshomaru. “And your excuse?”

“I am here waiting for her, but if it's a challenge you seek, be prepared selfish human.” The slayer looked both ways and they all attacked Sesshomaru. Three slayers focused on Kagome. They cornered her and captured her. Then they took her away. Sesshomaru on the other hand was having a hard time. The demon-slayers as a team were skilled and very persistent. One slung his axe at Sesshomaru and wrapped it around his neck. He pulled back and slammed Sesshomaru into the ground. Another slayer threw an orb at Sesshomaru's body and a demon-protectant net entangled him inside. They dragged him away and soon the demon discovered that this net was not only meant to contain him, but it also drained his energy. By the time the slayers informed the king, Sesshomaru had fell unconscious.

In the king's chambers, they discussed what actions they should take. Obviously, all demons were not welcomed no matter what their intentions were

“Koji. Why is your mask on?”

“Sir, we've caught the demon terrorizing the village.”

“Oh really? Did anyone get hurt during the process?”

“No. Not that we know of, but the demon put up a good fight.”

“Good. Your compensation is being sent to your part of the castle as we speak.”

He smirked. “As long you keep us well paid and under your shelter, we shall continue to serve as guardians of this village… Sir, I want you to know there is someone else we caught along with this demon.”

“Who is it?”

“A girl.”

“A girl?” The king rubbed his chin, obviously intrigued.

“Yes. She was stealing food from the market. We've already took the privilege to lock her up in a separate dungeon.”

“Come with me. I want to take a look at her.” He grinned.

“As you wish.”

They walked out of the room and made their way into Kagome's dungeon. A guard unlocked the door and escorted them in. Kagome was gagged and chained to the wall. After getting refreshed, Koji returned to the dungeon. He went straight toward Sesshomaru's stall and looked throw a see-through seal. Luckily the whole room was sealed with a spell to keep prisoners in, especially demons. Sesshomaru sensed him nearby and instinctively woke up, glaring at him. Koji just smiled and waved. When Sesshomaru noticed Kagome's scent all over him, he raged at the invisible seal. To no prevail, the demon was knocked back. He growled in his throat and glared harder.
