I woke up, and smiled. Wow, I was doing that a lot recently. I looked down at my crappy night gown, and thought. I couldn't go into town like this. What could I do with a ragged cream hight gown that was too short for me...? I looked at it again, and grinned. Geez! That was twice in what... five minutes?I tore off the edge of the skirt, and made it go above my knees. The same happened to the sleeves, making them caps. I used the strip from the skirt and tied my hair into a messy bun. I jumped off the tree branch, and walked to the nearest clothes store. My luck was in today, and I found a mall. The first thing I did was buy a purse. I couldn't walk around with my chest pocket bulging out. I filled the purse-a cheap black leather one- and went on to the next thing on my list. Clothes. But when I noticed the look on the managers' face, I instead turned to the shoe department. Running shoes and sandals were my choice there.I found a nice looking store, and found some cute clothes that fit me fine. The cashier rushed to my side, and smiled at me. “Welcome. Do you need any help?” She looked kind enough, so I took her up on her offer.“Sure. I'm not really sure what would look good on me...”“Well, I can help you with that.” She cast an eye over what I was wearing, and looked impressed.“For a person that doesn't know what to look for, you do a good job with your choices.” She lead me around, giving me this shirt and those capris, and that jacket and blouse combo. When I stepped out of the fitting room, the cashier was standing back, amazed at her handi-work and my ability to pull anything off. I was wearing a jean jacket with a red rose pattern. A white spaghetti strap was underneath, and khaki capris completed the outfit. I paid, and walked out in the clothes I bought. I was about to walk out, when the cashier placed her hand on my shoulder. “Um...Could I have that dress? I really liked it, and was thinking that I could make some copies. You don't mind, do you?” She looked embarrassed, but I grinned at her (THREE times today!), and gave her the nightgown. She smiled and I left. I really felt like getting a haircut, so I made my way to the salon.
