InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Her Fortitude ❯ Anger rises ( Chapter 1 )

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

This is going to be my first story that I have ever written about anything! It is basically about the life of Inuyasha and Kikyo's daughter Hayden. She's had a pretty rough life and a few secrets. If you're confused, just keep reading and it will make sense. I don't want to give too much away. Thanx to all those who review my poems and now onto the story!

Disclaimer: I sadly do not own that handsome hanyou which is on my mind 24/7, Inuyasha, so there. Sigh.

Her fortitude

CHAPTER 1

"No! Please stop! "

"You're too trusting and weak. It was easily to fool you and I always have my way in the end."

"Please don't!"

"Noooo!" Hayden sat up, panting, drenched in a cold sweat. `It was only a dream, no a nightmare,'

she thought. `Will they ever stopped?' She hugged her knees to her chest and willed herself not to cry. It was all over and he could never harm her again. Suddenly a servant knocked at the door.

"Are you alright milady?" she asked.

"I'm fine, it was just a bad dream. Go back to sleep." Hayden hated it when she worried others.

After the servant had left, she looked at the window and saw it was almost dawn. She sighed and stood. `Might as well get dressed since it is almost time to get up.' She dressed in a simple kimono and opened her door slowly, careful not to wake anyone. She began to walk the beautifully decorated hallways and down the many stairs to talk a walk in the garden. Here was where she always felt complacency, a place where she could just be alone to think and gather her thought.

It was warm, but slightly breezy, giving the atmosphere just the right temperature. `My room could use a new bouquet' Hayden thought. She bent down to pick some yellow roses when a familiar scent caught her nose.

"Hello master," she said as she stood with her small arrangement of flowers. She bowed and then asked "How was your journey this time?"

With his face expressionless he just replied, " It was the same as all the others, must you ask every time I return?"

"I'm sorry master. Just thought something exciting might have happened this time"

"First of all, something did happen. Second I have told you for years to stop calling me master." His yellow eyes glared at her in a sort of annoyance.

"Sorry, mast. oops, I mean Lord Sesshomaru." She knew she didn't have to call him master, but she knew how much it pissed him off. "So what did happen while you were away?"

"I-," he was cut off when a little girl came running towards them.

"Sesshomaru-sama! Is this really where you live? Do others live here too? Is Rin going to live here?"

Sesshomaru looked liked he just wanted to shut the girl up with a gag, but instead he just said, almost through clenched teeth, "Yes to all your questions Rin. Now go find Jaken and tell him to show you to your room."

"Yes, Sesshomaru-sama," Rin said as she quickly bowed. When she stood, she suddenly noticed Hayden standing there with a sort of puzzled look on her face.

"Sorry to interrupted miss," she apologized.

Hayden suddenly lost her look of shock and bent down to the girl at her level. "It's alright. You're a very sweet girl. My name is Hayden. What's yours?"

"Rin."

"Well, I'm pleased to meet you Rin. Maybe we can talk later, ok?"

Rin looked happy at having someone else to talk to other than Jaken. "Ok! Bye!"

Hayden stood and looked as the girl ran off toward the castle in search of the little toad demon. She turned her attention back to Sesshomaru. "Where did you find her?"

"I was merely testing my sword after she was killed by wolves and she has been following me ever since."

"How come you didn't kill her or make her stay in a village or something?" Hayden was curious to know why the very demon that despised humans had seemed to have taken one of his own.

"It is none of your concern for my actions."

"Sheesh, sorry," she said sarcastically as she rolled her eyes. "Anyways you were saying before you got interrupted?"

"Well, I was about to say that maybe you need to get out more. While I was traveling I came across Inuyasha several times."

Hayden was now completely interested and shocked at the same time. "But he was sealed to a tree 50 years ago. There's no way he can be alive again."

Sesshomaru continued. " He was revived by a young girl who is said to be the reincarnation of Kikyo. Somehow she broke the spell binding him to the tree and she was also the one that broke the sacred jewel."

Hayden couldn't believe what she was hearing. `How can this be!? The bastard is supposed to be dead!'

The demon lord looked down to see Hayden clenching her fists at her sides. "I suppose you want to leave so you can kill him?"

"Of course. How can you ask such a question? I will leave in 3 days time."

"Hayden?"

"Yes?"

"If you do manage to kill him, I want you to bring me his sword the Tetsaiga." Sesshomaru didn't actually believe that this demon could actually kill Inuyasha, but then again, she could be pretty powerful when she was angry.

"Fine whatever you want. Just as long as Inuyasha is dead."

Authors Note: There is my 1st chapter to my story. To me, it really sucks, but I've never written anything before so cut me some slack! What could Hayden be so mad about and what is with her nightmares?

Stay tuned to find out more in the future! Please don't forget to review, even if you don't like it. I would really appreciate it. Thanx! P.S. I have no idea how to spell the name of Inuyasha's sword and I was too lazy to look it up.
