Around the campfire, a happy conversation went on. More happy then Sango would have liked. Maybe it was because Miroku had Kagome giggling like a little girl, which had Inuyasha simply glaring. Sango, well she wasn't sure what to do. After all, what was there to do but watch? She couldn't go over and claim the Houshi as hers.

After the dinner, of ramen noodles and little juice boxes, Sango stood.
“Excuse me,” she said. Kagome looked up to her with risen brows.
“Is something wrong Sango?” She asked.
“No,” Sango lied. “I just need to take a walk. I'll be back.” She said. The little fire cat Kirara, jumped up and onto her shoulder. She turned her back to the group and sighed heavily. During her walk away from the group, Inuyasha's eyes were glued to her backside. He shook his head roughly and growled. I swear to kami, if I don't stop. I will gouge my eyes out myself.

In the dark, creepily quiet forest, her footsteps were like annoying taps of water to his ears. His gold eyes opened, looking to the group of two to his right. The little brunette's eyes were closed while the green toad beside her slept along.
The two were tired, from traveling day in and day out. Sesshomaru sighed and shook his head. His ivory hair falling like leaves onto his arms. The white fluffy thing was close to his cheek as always. He leant against the tree; one knee was to his chest while the other was out. He had meant to sleep, but before he could, a scent filled his nostrils. And his keen ears picked up the footsteps of someone, not two miles away. He stood up slowly, looking around. His eyes narrowed as the sound got louder. This thing was sobbing.
And this thing was human.
He looked to Jaken and Rin, turning on his heel, he sniffed out the person.
He began in a slow, steady walk. The pace of his steps was patient and timed.
As the person got closer, he knew he had to meet him or her, his self.
Sesshomaru walked away from the two sleeping companions of his. The, as he rounded a tree, he was bum rushed back. A gasp filled his ears and the salty smell of tears flooded into his nose. He looked down, to see a young woman on the ground, looking up to him with wide, tear filled eyes. A mew made his eyes snap to the cat demon. His lip curled at the sight of it. Wait a minute
He looked to the woman again, his brows rose as he remembered the face. The woman looked up to him, the same realization exploded in her mind as well.
“Sesshomaru,” she hissed. She quickly got to her feet, backing up, so did the cat.
He couldn't quite remember her name, so stayed silent instead. His back stiffened when from her waist, she whipped out a blade. Then, he laughed.
“You really mean to fight me, woman?” He growled suddenly, his clawed hand reached out and grasped her wrist. The strong grip caused her to drop the sword. She winced and looked down to it. Her eyes blazed in defiance and yet, a bit of fear. Sesshomaru growled to the cat as it mewed louder.
“If that cat doesn't shut up,” He began. “I will gut it.”

Sango gulped, he scared her. She looked down to Kirara, “Stop.” She said.
Kirara backed up, but still held the look in her eyes.
“You travel with my brother, correct?” Sesshomaru hissed. Sango only nodded.
His hand tightened around her wrist, making her flinch.
“…I wonder how he would react if I killed you?” He raised a brow and smirked.
Sango lifted her chin and narrowed her eyes. “Go ahead, see what happens. It'll only add to your list of how much of a monster you are.”
Sesshomaru growled, his hand let go and curled into a fist. It flew and struck Sango's cheek. She fell back onto her side, putting her hand to her cheek she winced at the feeling.
“Jerk,” she hissed. She jumped up, and her blade skimmed the side of his face.
Making one horizontal line of blood run down his cheek, and onto his neck.
Sesshomaru lashed out, his claws pierced the middle of her stomach. She gasped, her eyes widened as he dug them deeper.
“Listen slayer,” He said between clenched teeth. “I will kill you without a second thought if necessary.”
“And here I thought you only picked on men. What? Too boring for you half brother?”
Sesshomaru looked over the woman's head to see Inuyasha standing there with Tetsuiga drawn.
His lip curled, and he tore his claws from Sango's abdomen. She let out a choke cry and fell to her knees.
Inuyasha had to stop himself from going over and helping the woman to her feet, and bolting out of there and back to camp. Sango pressed her lips together, glaring up at the demon lord.
Sesshomaru smirked, “No, Inuyasha, it just seems like they're the same as Hanyous. Weak, and pitiful. Honestly, I don't know how you can stand them, although, after all, I guess you have that human weakness inside. “He shook his head; his hair flew like some huge fan was blowing on him. Sango had to stop from gawking at him; this man was beautiful, in a scary sort of way.
Sango! Stupid onna, don't think that way! This is Inuyasha's enemy, so it's my enemy as well. I think...
Inuyasha's canines clenched down, the muscle in his jaw flexing.
“Listen Sesshomaru, I could easily swipe that ugly little head of yours off in within a second. But as of late, one of my comrades has been stabbed, by who else but you heartless piece of crap!” Inuyasha avoided the area where too close would be in Sesshomaru's point of view. In one swift movement, he had Sango in his arms, clutching her almost possessively.
“We'll finish this another time,” Inuyasha snapped while turning on his heel.
Sango looked to Sesshomaru, who stood there, watching them leave. Then, his eyes caught hers. She couldn't look away, they were penetrating and calm.
She felt the color rising to her cheeks, as he smirked and then turned.
With one more glance over his shoulder, he caught her still staring.
Crap!!! Sango, stupid fool! Look away!
She couldn't, and as Inuyasha took off in his fast, very stomach lurching, run. She still looked off into the distance.

“Inuyasha? Lady Sango!?” Miroku said in an alarmed voice as his two friends came into sight. The Hanyou skidded to a stop, kicking up dirt, and making Kagome and Shippou cough in return. Kirara, who had transformed just to keep up with her Master and her friend, soon turned back into the sweet two tailed kitten.
“What happen?” Shippou asked, his emerald eyes widening as Inuyasha let Sango get onto her feet. The five holes showing clearly through her yukata and skirt.
“My brother,” Inuyasha spat.
“Sesshomaru?” Kagome winked, and Inuyasha only sighed.
“Who else wench?”
Then, his little attitude disappeared when Sango fell to her knees. Miroku rushed to her side, his arm wrapping around her shoulders, and then helping her to the mats. Where in the middle a fire warmed all of them.
“Kagome, you have medicines to help with her wounds, right?” The monk asked with a hopeful voice. The schoolgirl sighed, rummaging through her bags. “..Oh no, um,” she looked up to them, her brown eyes scanning her friend's faces.
“What woman?” Inuyasha asked.
“..There's no more bandages or medicines, or anything! I've ran out.” She rose to her feet, now pacing. “We've got to get to Keadea's!”
