InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Hidden Secrets ❯ missions ( Chapter 4 )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
InuYasha walked out of the club that he was watching over for the night. Even though him and his brother were technically partners, Shessho-maru did the business aspect, he did the dirty work. Tonight he was supposed to get this person that had not paid them or something, he didn't pay attention. For the last three weeks he hadn't been -as what Miroku call it- his normal cranky self. He'd been off in the clouds somewhere.

Hell, he hadn't even fucked Kikyo in three weeks. Which was pissing her off and making her even more bitchy and irritating than before. But after he had smelled that scent he couldn't seem to evade the feeling that he wasn't supposed to be with Kikyo. His instincts were telling him to find that girl with the lovely scent and claim her before anyone else could.

Shaking his head he tried to focus on his task tonight. He smirked, he could use a good fight tonight.

Inside the nightclub it was dark and smoky. The odor of cigarettes filled the scents of every demon and human alike. There were various rock songs playing in the background, everything from the 1960s and up. On the far wall of the club stood the bar with a young female wolf-demon behind, serving the drinks to the customers.

InuYasha strolled past the bar and into a doorway marked 'employees only'. There was a spiral stairwell that headed up to the third floor where most of the business that he and his brother conducted went on. From the top floor one could see everything that went on in the bar. It was like one of those mirrors at the police station. InuYasha snickered at the thought, how many times had he been in the police station since he was born? Too many to count, that's how many. But the great thing was that he was only suspected, never charged with anything.

Reaching the top of the stairs he head towards the room where his brother awaited him. He pushed open the door and strolled into the office. Shessho-maru who was looking over some paper work looked up slightly.

"You could knock." He remarked as he continued reading over the papers. InuYasha snorted.

"Ain't like you were doing anything important." Shessho-maru frown.

"Quite contrary, little brother. I was reading." He retorted as he looked up from the papers he was reading. InuYasha just snorted again as he flopped into the chair across from his brother's desk.

"So who pissed you off this time?" Asked InuYasha. Shessho-maru looked at him then began to look for some files. He knew that this was InuYasha's way of asking for the job. Grabbing the file from its place he tossed it to InuYasha.

"No killing this time." Shessho-maru stated. InuYasha pouted but looked through the file.

"Any connection to Naraku?" InuYasha questioned.

"No, these two seem to be on their own side. They don't care one way or the other, but we don't want them to begin to care, so make them stay out of this. Then get surveillance on them, if they bend away from us kill them." Shessho-maru looked up. "Any questions?"

"No." InuYasha got up, threw the file at Shessho-maru and began to walk out.

"Don't beat them to a bloody pulp either, that's not the way to make allies."

"Whatever." InuYasha snipped as he slammed the door.

InuYasha was shocked, almost. This was the first time his brother asked him to do something that didn't involve killing. Which also pissed him off, he was waiting for a good fight and kill. Snarling he looked at the papers he was given.

Hiten and Maten. Good for nothing Thunder Brothers.

There was nothing left to do, but go to the park, and find them. Then maybe beat them up a little, see if they were even worth having alive to fight with. He chuckled slightly. Yeah, if they were worth it.

InuYasha took the long way to the park, know that he could vent a little bit before he had to play negotiator for his stuck up brother. The park with the iron fence, that's where they usually are. It was the biggest park in the city, and the most dangerous one.

Getting there in about ten minutes InuYasha started to sniff around for any scent of them. But it wasn't the Thunder Brothers scent that he ended up with.

It was the sweet smell he smelt before at Keade's house.

That's it. I need to find that.

His inner yokai was demanding that he follow it. He had to find her, this scent that lead to her, his mate. The scent that made his arousal come in full force, the scent that made him question all his decisions.

He began to run along the poorly lit pathway, he didn't know where he was heading, but he knew the scent and that's all that mattered. He ran all the way to the other side of the park, which took about ten minutes for him at top speed.

It was then that he saw he. Sitting on that swing set, looking out into nothing. He walked towards her, he didn't have control of his body anymore. He slowly walked up to her and stared into her blue-green eyes, before leaning into her to smell her.

He was shocked at his own actions, but his was more shocked at the girl's, though his body did not show any sign of reaction, except for his arousal that began to consume him.

The girl wrapped her arms around him and brought him to her chest as he was brought to his knees. It was like heaven for him. He wanted to stay there with her. Wanted to take her with him and forget the rest of the world.

Wrapping his arms around her, he began to nuzzle, kiss and nip at her neck. A soft moan came out which made him growl and increase what he was doing. He began to bite more and more, until the girl pulled him away softly.

A soft whine of protest came from him, but nothing like anyone of his friends would have known. She looked directly into his eyes and kissed his lips softly.

"Not now mate. I will return to you." She whispered and disappeared into the ground leaving only her scent.

InuYasha kneeled at the spot in shock. He was in a complete daze that he didn't notice Miroku come up behind him.

"Yo." Miroku said. InuYasha jumped and had a gun pointed at Miroku's head ready to kill.

"Wait, dude. It's me! Simmer down." Miroku pleaded. InuYasha snarled for a minute before he realized it was Miroku. InuYasha's eyes went wide for a minute, then he put the gun away and stalked off. Miroku followed him.

"So were you praying or something?" Asked Miroku innocently. A sharp growl came from InuYasha cause Miroku to laugh. "So you'll tell me later then."

"Shut up Monk, we've got a job to do." He snapped at Miroku.

"I know that, but do you."

"Grrrrrrrrrrrrr"

Laughter echoed throughout the park. As Miroku ran from his hanyou friend.
