Hiding amongst the shadows of time.
Summery: why does it seem that the fates have the most unexpected in mind for kagome. First the well. Then tapping in her miko powers. Then finding out that she as well as her family are...can't tell you that so early. Now with that info an sago on her side they set of to find there trainer and train there powers to the maximum strength, for the fear of the return to the dark lord. What will happen to the two in this crazy twist of a story? I’m not even sure myself. So please just read an enjoy! Remember 5 review and I mean it.

Well people I think you should know a few things. Like one. Naraku won’t be in this story because he plays a major part in the sequel to the story. That’s right people I’m even planning a sequel. After this chapter all other chapters until another authors note like this will equal either a month or half a month. It all depends on how long the chapter is an how I feel about it. I have decided that kagome and sesshouamru will only start a friendship in this part. I know, its starting to sound like the great a.u series story, in a way your right, but in a way you’re wrong. Your right because there are going to be either 3 or 4 parts to this story because there is allot of adventure. Your wrong becomes I’m not trying to copy anyone and the plot is soo different along with the theme and scheme. Anyway I hope you understand an like the story. But for the love of god I’m begging people to please review. I’m allowing flames; I’ll just take it as a way to improve my story.

" Okay guys we need to reach lord sesshouamru castle by night fall or were in for it" kagome said
" Let’s go down an rest for a moment, kilala is thirsty" sango said rubbing kilala's ears.
" Okay " kagome said. Sango told kilala to come down in the next clearing, there was a lake near by.
Once landed in the clearing sango took kilala to the lake to get some water. Souta had excused him self to use the bathroom. The only one in the clearing was kagome. At the moment she was in a meditative state of mind. This will explain why she didn't feel the presence of someone coming.
" Miko " a deadly smooth voice said
" What!" kagome all but yelled as she jumped up
" Calm down I’m not here to hurt you" sesshouamru said as he watched her calm down instantly
" Sorry sesshouamru...hey we were on our way to your castle" kagome said

" his ward has come down with an illness that'll kill her over the night, we have to hurry an get there so i can heal her" kagome said before she ran to catch up with sesshoumaru.
" come along souta, his castle must be near if were walking" sango said an they both ran to catch up with the other two.
: 20 minutes later :
The group came to a stop upon a hill top that over looked this beautiful castle. The castle it's self was two stories high and made out of sandstone blue-gray stone. The outer wall that connected with the gate was made of the same stone while the gate was made of wood an iron. You could tell there were many rooms by the number of windows. In the back of the castle were an labyrinth, and a garden with many trees and flowers. Father out was nothing but forest.
" Beautiful " kagome whispered
" Glad you think so because for the next 6 months you'll have to live here" sesshouamru said boardly
"Well you seem excited” kagome said sarcastically
"Yes I can see all the chaos you an your siblings will cause" sesshouamru remarked dryly
" yeah well we weren’t going to do anything...an well you gave us an ideal so now your guaranteed an uproar of some kind" kagome said flashing a grin, sango and souta snickered while sesshouamru sighed. How did he get himself into these things?

"Mea, show these two to there room" sesshouamru said
"Yes milord, follow me” mea said as she walked up the stairs, they watched them till they were no longer insight

"This way” sesshouamru as he walked down the hall past his study to rins room. Opening the door quietly he a kagome slipped in.
"Oh my, how long has she been like this" kagome asked
"4 hours at the most" sesshouamru as he walked over to her
" well I’m going to need some cold water, some rags an some soup made for when she wakes up, when I’m done using everything make sure to burn it along with the sheets an blanket on her bed" kagome said as she dropped her bag

"No, she's the only one I trust" sesshouamru said
"I’m sorry milord mea is coming down with what ever the br...I mean rin has...hmm another human" one of his servants mumbled

"Hmm, I want you to take two deep breaths okay" kagome said, mea nodded as she did so.
" oh my, when you go to sleep tonight sleep on your right side so your good lung can expand so you can breath, another thing, when you cough, cough till you spit some stuff up, there fluid or flem on your chest, don't do to much of work because you can barely breath now" kagome said putting her things away.
"Umm” mea said as she looked to sesshouamru
" listen to her, you may have as much time needed to get better , but first get what ever the miko needs, if you need me I’m in my study" sesshouamru said walking out before anyone could say a thing
"Jerk...I don't need allot just a bucket of cold water, an a stack of towels, oh another thing I need some broth made for when she wakes up, can you do that?" kagome asked

Looking down on the pale angle she shook her head as she kneeled to the side. Placing her bag next to her she moved her hands to rest on rins' stomach and the other on her forehead. Taking a breath she forced her sprit out of her body an into rin's. She could tell first off that this was not a sickness, but a state of either shock or being scared. Kagome looked around the landscape of rins mind.

"How do I wake up" rin asked

"No you wont I’ll catch you” kagome said extending her arms out for rin to jump into. A few seconds later with a scream rin jumped from the tree an straight into kagomes’ arms.

"Just hold on to me” kagome said as she started her short walk back to her body. Once in she was sure she was in the connection she let rin down.
"Now rin, once I leave I want you to stay here, I’ll shake you an you should wake up okay" kagome said
"Okay” rin said as she watched kagome leave.
Kagome spirit was absorbed back into her body time it left rins. Taking a few breaths then shaking her head from mild dizziness. She shook rin for a few moments before a groan escaped her lips an startled brown eyes flew open.

She moved her hands up to the door an knocked twice. " Enter " a voice from the other side barked. She could only guess it to belong to sesshouamru. Sighing she open the door an slipped into the large dark library.

" She is sleeping now, but we need to talk, you need to reinsure her " kagome said leaning up against the door
" Come, take a seat " sesshouamru said motioning his hands to the chairs before his desk, nodding she walked to the two chairs that sat before him an sat in one.
"Now, what do you speak of, reinsure her, what do you mean " sesshouamru said putting down his scroll, giving her his full attention

" I didn't ask, my main concern after hearing that was for her to wake up, she is more vulnerable in her sleep than awake" kagome saId
"I thank you kagome, come I’ll show you your room" sesshouamru said rising from his deck, kagome following suit.
The walk to her room was silent. The demon lord’s mind was thinking of his ward while the miko's mind was wondering bout her family.
" kagome this will be your room during your stay, there is a door that connects you to souta's an sango's room, training for all 3 of you starts tomorrow at sunrise, my general an I will be your trainers, dinner will be ready soon" sesshouamru leaving
"Hey wait” kagome called after him, he didn't turn around but stopped
"Umm, thanks, thanks for everything" kagome said walking into her room closing it behind her. Sesshouamru shook his head with a sigh. 6 long months with this miko would drive him mad.

"Jerk...I don't need allot just a bucket of cold water, an a stack of towels, oh another thing I need some broth made for when she wakes up, can you do that?" kagome asked
"Yes milady” mea said bowing
"Get up, don't bow for me an don't call me lady my name is kagome okay" kagome said
"Yes mi'...er…kagome " mea said leaving the room.
"Okay first to heal the sickness" kagome mumbled as she walked over to rin's bed.
Looking down on the pale angle she shook her head as she kneeled to the side. Placing her bag next to her she moved her hands to rest on rins' stomach and the other on her forehead. Taking a breath she forced her sprit out of her body an into rin's. She could tell first off that this was not a sickness, but a state of either shock or being scared. Kagome looked around the landscape of rins mind.
"Rin...rin where are you " kagome called out
"Who…whos there" came a startled voice?
"Rin it’s me kagome" kagome said walking to where she thought the voice was coming from
"Kagome, get out of here, they'll hurt you " rin said
"Rin where are you, I’ll protect you " kagome said
"Here" rin called from up in a tree
"What are you doing up there" kagome asked as she came to a stop under said tree
"Hiding” rin said poking her head out from behind the branch
"Come down an wake up, everyone is worried about you" kagome said
"No, bad man wants me, bad man will hurt me” rin screamed
"Who rin" kagome asked
"I don't know who he is, he says that in time I will let my father back in the world" rin said
"Is your father bad or something" kagome asked
"He was a very, very bad man" rin said
"But rin if you stay sleep he'll get you here" kagome pleaded
"Plus, I know sesshouamru is worried" kagome added
"sesshouamru-sama is worried" rin asked
"Of course he is, why wouldn't he be” kagome asked
"Because the bad man said he would tell sesshouamru-sama whets going to happen because of me" rin said
"rin, sesshouamru would never turn his back on any one, especially a 13 year old teenage girl that needs care in her life, he trusted you rin, I think he even sees you as a daughter, you have to wake up, not for him or anyone else then do it to prove the bad man wrong" kagome said with as much strength she could muster in this situation
"How do I wake up" rin asked
"Come out of the tree" kagome said
"I can't, I’m going to fall” rin said
"No you wont I’ll catch you” kagome said extending her arms out for rin to jump into. A few seconds later with a scream rin jumped from the tree an straight into kagomes’ arms.
"What now" rin asked
"Just hold on to me” kagome said as she started her short walk back to her body. Once in she was sure she was in the connection she let rin down.
"Now rin, once I leave I want you to stay here, I’ll shake you an you should wake up okay" kagome said
"Okay” rin said as she watched kagome leave.
Kagome spirit was absorbed back into her body time it left rins. Taking a few breaths then shaking her head from mild dizziness. She shook rin for a few moments before a groan escaped her lips an startled brown eyes flew open.
"Rin” kagome said taking her in her arms to comfort her
"I’m save now right" rin asked
"Of course you are, you've been save all along silly" kagome said
" I’m tired "rin whispered
" Then go to sleep, I need to talk to sesshouamru " kagome said
" Good night " rin said closing her eyes
" Yeah, good night " kagome whispered as she let go of rin then slipped out of her bed an walked to the door. Opening it silently she slipped out closing the door behind.
Walking down the long hallway to where sesshouamru said he would is she came to a stop at a pair of large doubled oak wood doors. She guessed it to be the library. She moved her hands up to the door an knocked twice. " Enter " a voice from the other side barked. She could only guess it to belong to sesshouamru. Sighing she open the door an slipped into the large dark library.
" Kagome " sesshouamru spoke as he looked up from a scroll
" She is sleeping now, but we need to talk, you need to reinsure her " kagome said leaning up against the door
" Come, take a seat " sesshouamru said motioning his hands to the chairs before his desk, nodding she walked to the two chairs that sat before him an sat in one.
"Now, what do you speak of, reinsure her, what do you mean " sesshouamru said putting down his scroll, giving her his full attention
" sesshouamru you have taken excellent care of her, before I go on tell me you care for her as a daughter" kagome asked pleadingly.
Sesshouamru sat in shock. There is was again. That damn question. He never told anyone how he felt towards rin. No one except for mea knew why he had rin. Many thought he was a fool for having a human child near him, but his beast was driven to protect this human girl. He had no choice now. To get the information he needed he had to tell.
"Miko I don’t have time for this, but if you must know, yes I see her as well as my beast see her as a daughter” sesshouamru said
"Good, use this to comforted her, she is scared" kagome said
"Why" sesshouamru asked
" I knew time I walked into the room she wasn't sick, I went into her spirit to find her hiding from some bad man, she says that this bad man wants her help to get her father back, from the way rin was acting I can only guess that her father was evil" kagome said
"How did said person get to her" sesshouamru asked threw clenched teeth, he was beyond pissed. If he found it to be anyone in the house hold...lets just say there will be allot of death coming upon.
" I didn't ask, my main concern after hearing that was for her to wake up, she is more vulnerable in her sleep than awake" kagome saId
"I thank you kagome, come I’ll show you your room" sesshouamru said rising from his deck, kagome following suit.
The walk to her room was silent. The demon lord’s mind was thinking of his ward while the miko's mind was wondering bout her family.
" kagome this will be your room during your stay, there is a door that connects you to souta's an sango's room, training for all 3 of you starts tomorrow at sunrise, my general an I will be your trainers, dinner will be ready soon" sesshouamru leaving
"Hey wait” kagome called after him, he didn't turn around but stopped
"Umm, thanks, thanks for everything" kagome said walking into her room closing it behind her. Sesshouamru shook his head with a sigh. 6 long months with this miko would drive him mad.
