Chapter 2: The challenge

"Just answer my question baka!" Kagome yelled. "you are invading my land, therefore an enemy" Sesshoumaru said in a It's-a-fact voice. Kagome, not know the paralysis is wearing off, dodged the attack. "Oh so that's it huh? I didn't know SINCE I come here EVERYDAY you baka." Kagome yelled. "I guess we settle this, we fight, if you win, you can have this area of land, if you lose, you die." Sesshoumaru said behind a usually stoic mask. "Deal" kagome said. "Fool!" with that Sesshoumaru charged off in her direction.

Kagome Dodged Sesshoumaru's attack and took out her dagger and plunged it at his arm, causing a pause in his steps. Blood was dripping all over the uneven formed grass, now silence. "You will pay for that wench!" Sesshoumaru said in a pissed off tone. "We'll see about that!" Kagome replied. Jumping in the air, Kagome dived down in a circular motion with her special blade, now glowing purple. Kagome did 3 spins followed by a purple trail diving down and her sword slashed Sesshoumaru's body. Sesshoumaru, now screaming in pain, flashed red in his eye. "Uh oh…" Kagome said. Kagome now changing stances to defensive looked at the transformation. Her stance shows that her knees were bending; she was on her side, griping on her sheathed sword. Kagome was intently watching Sesshoumaru waiting for him to attack since her style was self-defensive and protective, she rarely uses attack stance, in case that she was losing. Kagome wasn't going to back out now, she had to defeat him, In order to save her pride AND life. Sesshoumaru eyes fully flashed blood red and soon enough, his fangs started to grow faster and bigger, he was turning bigger, his nose now formed a snout and soon enough, he transformed into a huge dog-demon. "Ughhhh…..his breath smells like poison…." Kagome said. She was still waiting for him to attack. Now seeing his form, Kagome changed stances, neither attack nor defensive. Kagome was changing stance to her most powerful attack, The Fierce Demon fire. Kagome was still on her side, Her knees were now bended more, one feet that was behind her since she was on her side was lower than the other feet, ready to be at very fast speed, one hand on the sheath, one hand on the grip of the special sword that was given to her from her retainers, that was from her mom. Now breaking the silence, Sesshoumaru in his dog-demon form charged at Kagome. `It's now or never!' Kagome thought to herself. With that she charged off in a alarming speed, still not unsheathing the sword. Kagome disappeared, probably due to the fast speed. She was about to crash into Sesshoumaru when…. "Now!" Kagome screamed. With that she unsheathed her sword and swing it at the beast (Sesshoumaru) in a curved motion, and gracefully sheathed her sword and flipped her back, leaving the wounded (A/N: NO! not dead!) Sesshoumaru on the ground. "I guess this part of land is mine now!" Kagome Chuckled to herself, followed by a growl. (A/N: No! Not the WHOLE western lands, just the favorite part she always go in, the one she mentioned about.) Kagome cautiously went to the pile of wood and picked the load up dragging it home.

*Sesshoumaru's Point of view*

`No! How could I let this…..Human BEAT me in a duel! I, Sesshoumaru, Lord of the Western Lands, Shall not let her go this easily….covered in my own pool of blood. At this condition, I can't move….Damn Wench! She is unfortunately beautiful…and strong….Hmm….seems that I have an instant liking to her. No! I don't, she is a…human, to think I have feeling for a human wench! ` `but you do, you said it yourself….' Said a voice in the back of his mind. `No! I challenged her in a duel nothing less!' replied Sesshoumaru. `But you even said you were impressed in her beauty…and strength.' `hmm…strange, she looks like a human…but smells…different.' `She is nor youkai' The voice said again. `Who are you!' replied Sesshoumaru. `Are you THAT thick headed you idiot?' `I'm you in your head…Admit it, you like her' `No I don't even know her name!' `ahhh….now you want her name…interesting…' `why you!!' With that Sesshoumaru snapped out of his daze. Looking at the way she left. "We shall duel again, wench…"

"Hey!! I'm home!" Kagome yelled. "So you have decided to claim back your lands and be taught your new power?" Her adoptive mothers said. "Hai!" Kagome replied. "well then, shall we begin?"

Sorry for the short chapter, but I have to go to sleep now….Byes!

Inuyasha: WHEN AM I COMING IN!!!!

Me: Dunno, when I feel like it.

Kagome: Hah! I'm the main character and stronger than YOU Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru!

Sesshoumaru: ……Not fair….

Me: Life is not fair, shouldn't you know this by now?

Sesshoumaru: …..

Me: Well, Ja ne, and goodnight!
