Shower Incident

A few weeks passed without any other incidents for InuYasha Taisho, though he had avoided talking much more to his young raven haired student Kagome. Even so the girl continued to amaze him, her work was exceptional not only in English but in every other class as well, she had strait A's in every direction but every teacher always said the same thing about her. She never said a word, she purposely isolated herself, and she acted like she didn't know any of the answers to any question but when she handed in her work it looked like it had been done by a university or collage student.

 

It was getting into late fall now and the trees outside were loosing a lot of their amber and golden leaves making it a chore for people to rake up. Along with that Halloween was fast approaching as was the big Halloween dance which was a big deal at Shinkon High. InuYasha didn't have any plans that Friday night so he was asked to be a chaperone at the dance, it was either that or taking his five year old niece and her little friends trick-or-treating. He went with the choice that wouldn't drive him to the brink of insanity.

 

Early Friday morning about an hour before he normally got up to get ready for work he felt weight suddenly being dropped right on his stomach knocking the air right out of him. His eyes shot open and he was looking into the small red child demon eyes of the very niece he had been trying to avoid having to baby-sit.

 

“Morning Uncle InuYasha,” the small girl grinned sitting on her uncle's chest.

 

“Get up InuYasha,” a cold monotonic voice sounded from the door, “Don't keep young Rin waiting.”

 

Groaning InuYasha picked up the small girl and set her beside him on the bed so he could get up, “Sesshomaru you ass I told you that I have to work today I can't just take the day off to take care of Rin for you!”

 

A tall silver haired man was leaning against the door of InuYasha's bedroom; he looked a lot like InuYasha except for the fact that he was a full demon. His eyes were narrower but still the same liquid gold colour and along with a crescent moon on his forehead he had two purple stripes across each cheek, the ones Rin had inherited. He was taller than InuYasha with the same medium muscular build and long silver hair that was pulled back into a low ponytail so he could maintain his neat and tidy appearance. Sesshomaru didn't have dog ears like InuYasha just slightly pointed ears that looked almost human and as usual he was dressed in a suit like the professional stick in the mud he was.

 

“Kagura is off on business and I have to go to work early today so I need you to look after her for a few hours,” he said simply, “It won't interfere with your job you just need to drop her off at school before you go to work and pick her up after school.”

 

“I am at the school by eight o'clock, and I leave after four,” InuYasha stated bluntly.

 

“You stupid son of a-”

 

“And I don't want you swearing in front of my child either baka.”

 

“Uncle InuYasha shouldn't say bad words,” Rin said with her little childish smile still on her face.

 

Stupid bastard, InuYasha growled inwardly knowing there would be no arguing with his bother, “What time are you picking her up?”

 

“About ten tonight,” he answered.

 

“Did I not tell you before on the phone that I am chaperoning a high school dance? I can't just take a little kid to one of those parties you know how teenagers get at this type of thing on this type of night! I already told my boss I would be there,” InuYasha countered scowling at his stubborn brother.

 

Sesshomaru sighed rubbing his forehead, “Listen InuYasha I tried to find someone else to look after her for a while but it is Halloween and no one is free. You're the only one that I have to turn to for this, don't you have a girlfriend that would take her for a few hours while you are at the dance, or couldn't you just get another teacher to cover for you? I didn't plan for this to happen!”

 

Rolling his eyes InuYasha got up out of bed, “Alright, alright I'll see what I can do; maybe Sango is free tonight to take Rin Trick-or treating.”

 

InuYasha closed his eyes and rubbed his forehead for a moment, he was not all that good with kids, and Rin was quite the handful for someone without much experience. If the girl had any sugar shape or form she was pretty much uncontrollable, she was basically energy in a bottle, like most youkai children were.

 

When he opened his eyes again Sesshomaru was gone, not that it bothered InuYasha much, after all they never did get along really well for brothers.

 

“Uncle InuYasha I'm hungry,” Rin gave a small pout looking up at her uncle with wide cute little eyes, “Do you have any lucky charms.”

 

For occasions like this InuYasha always kept Rin's favourite breakfast on hand which was of course lucky charms, Rin refused to eat anything else in the morning, she just loved the marshmallows. It looked rather odd next to the food InuYasha kept which was mostly ramen, the numbers of good take out places that delivered ramen, and cans of warm up food.

 

He led the small girl out into the kitchen of his apartment grabbing her one of his last clean bowls, the box of cereal, milk and a spoon. After he had all of that he turned the TV in the living room to a kid's show. This would keep Rin occupied for hours if you let her be, and it would do for a few minutes while InuYasha showered and got read for work.

 

“Thank you uncle InuYasha,” Rin said politely taking the bowl of cereal from InuYasha and sitting herself on the floor in front of the TV.

“KAGOME!!”

 

Kagome woke with a start falling right out of her bed and landing on the floor hopelessly tangled in her blankets. Groaning she looked up at her clock realizing she hadn't slept in, that was the usual reason her father yelled at her in the morning, if he wasn't angry at her for not leaving when she was supposed to she had probably done something wrong and she didn't remember doing anything.

 

“Kagome get out of bed right now you lazy bitch,” her father's voice was annoyed and loud like it almost always was when he was talking to Kagome.

 

Biting her lip she decided to get it over with and take the plunge into cold water. Things had been so quiet lately Kagome had almost gotten used to it but quiet never lasted long in the Higurashi household.

 

“I have some girls coming over early today and they are staying late,” her father announced when Kagome walked into the kitchen, “I don't want you in this house the whole time they are here, I finally found someone and I will not have you ruin it got that? Now your worthless ass has ten minutes to get out of this house!”

 

She didn't have to be told twice, without another word she scrambled to grab her things and rushed out the door without so much as combing her hair. All of her cloths were stuffed in her backpack along with her shampoo, hairbrush, and toothbrush.

 

The dad's girlfriend thing was not all that uncommon, it happened even when she was still a very young teen. Whenever he started dating a girl they always found the fact that her dad had an isolated and slightly depressed teenage daughter seemed to drive them all away, at least that's what her father always said. It had become a new rule that when her father had girls over to the house she had to make herself scarce, sometimes she even had to sleep in the park. Hopefully she would be able to go home that night.

 

Kagome ran all the way to school still wearing her regular dark green pajama bottoms and a short light blue shirt. She managed to avoid all the teachers on her way into the school and grabbing her things she got into the shower.

Rin fidgeted against the seatbelt in the back seat of InuYasha's car trying to get herself loose so she could turn and look out the window. That was the thing about Rin, without her Luck Charms she got distracted or bored fairly easily, most children don't like having to sit around in a car even if it was only a twenty minute ride.

 

Rin's elementary school was only a ten minute drive from the school where InuYasha worked and that morning he had to be there early to get some major marking out of the way. It was not like Rin would want to be over an hour early for school so he decided to take the girl with him and maybe she could draw a picture or something in the classroom while he did some work. At least that was what he hoped she would do, he wasn't all that experienced in entertaining children and his job was basically all he did anymore.

 

“Ok Rin come on lets go in,” InuYasha announced when they arrived.

 

Like a shot out of hell Rin had unbuckled herself and dashed out the door leaving our poor silver haired hanyou standing half dumbstruck in the parking lot still holding the door open. It had been a while since he last babysat his niece and she had grown quite a bit in that time also seeming to gain some more demon speed. Rin was of course a full blooded youkai child, but InuYasha was an adult with a bigger stride and more control over his own abilities so he closed the door of his car and ran off after the girl.

 

No one could even really see them at the speeds they were able to run and boy did they book it through that school. The young girl demon was fast, tricky, and had a rather generous head start to boot and seemed to be determined to lead InuYasha around the whole school twice. She dashed through classrooms sending papers flying in all directions, zipped in between the few people in the school causing them to jump from the rushes of air and practiced long jumping over the tables in the cafeteria. You can imagine the grief InuYasha was going through having to catch the paper Rin had mess up as he ran and having to apologies to every person Rin had startled.

 

“Catch me uncle InuYasha,” Rin giggled as she took off into the gym and through the first door she saw with InuYasha right on her tail not paying any attention to where he was being lead.

 

“Rin get back here right now,” InuYasha yelled not even noticing his surroundings.

 

Rin's laughter was loud and seemed to echo around them then suddenly at her speeds she began to loose her footing and slide on the wet tile floor beneath her and there was no way to slow down. InuYasha was sent sliding right after Rin into a shower stall.

 

There was some screaming and crashing noises as InuYasha hit the wall, but there was something or something pinned to his chest that he had slid right into. For a few minutes he didn't move, and he didn't pay any attention to the fact that he was getting soaked with luke warm water.

 

Blinking he pushed himself off the wall and looked down slightly at the completely shocked teenage girl looking up at him with wide chocolate eyes…completely naked. It was undoubtedly Kagome, who he could help but think had a cute face without the glasses she had a cute face, but that was not all that was cute about her. He was to shocked to move and so we she so they just stared at each other. No one would have guessed Kagome had such generous curves with the types of cloths she always wore but there she was looking like she could be the next Victoria Secret model. Water from the shower head washed over her pale skin that had a few scars from all her accidents but other than that it was creamy and flawless. Her breasts were full and perky, her stomach was flat, her legs long, slender and well toned, and she was standing so close to him he could feel her breath on him.

 

Kagome blinked looking like a frightened deer caught in the headlights of a car and InuYasha's mind was stalling like that car, she just looks so innocent, so sweet, so beautiful…the curve of her neck, the curve of her waist…

 

Finally Kagome realized she was standing totally exposed in front of her teacher and tried to shield herself with her arms also making InuYasha snatch out of his trance and he covered his eyes with his hands, “I'm sorry! I was trying to catch my niece and I didn't pay attention to where I was going!”

 

“You're clumsy uncle InuYasha,” Rin piped sliding around under the shower head and getting soaked for fun, “You said before you could catch me real easy but it took you forever to even get close.”

 

Kagome was blushing furiously trying to wrap herself in a towel as fast as possible but it was still pretty reveling so she retreated to the safety of a stall and put on some cloths, I can't believe I just stood there and let him stare at me like that! Why didn't I move? I am such a fucking slut for letting him see me naked like that, and he must think so too.

 

Pervert, pervert, pervert, pervert, InuYasha scolded himself making sure he was not facing the direction Kagome had gone off to get dressed, she thinks you're a fucking pervert! You just stood there and eye fucked the shit out of your own student you stupid baka! This is the type of shit that could get you fired!

 

“Uncle InuYasha do you think I will grow pretty boobies like hers someday,” Rin asked poking her chest.

 

“Um yes,” InuYasha muttered, “You'll have pretty bobbies like Kagome - oh er - I mean oh…”

 

Rin gave a devilish grin, “You think she's pretty don't you?”

 

“No - I mean I guess,” InuYasha turned as red as a tomato, “You are in big trouble young lady, you terrorized this whole school…and get out of that shower you're getting yourself soaked! Now I'm going to have to get you some dry cloths.”

 

“Mr. Taisho,” Kagome poked InuYasha in the shoulder lightly making him jump, “You should leave or you might get in trouble.”

 

“Y-yes I should…come on Rin lets get you cleaned up…”

 

Kagome stepped in first, “Come on Rin they have one of those air hand dryers in the bathroom just over there, lets see if we can't dry out those cloths.”

 

Without another word InuYasha left the room, he wasn't going to stick around; it was awkward enough without him sticking around to watch Kagome dry out his niece's clothes. Besides every time he looked back at Kagome that brief memory of her naked body came back and he would start blushing and the bulge in the crotch of his pants would come back.

 

Rin sat on the counter in the bathroom wearing Kagome's pajama shirt like a short dress while Kagome dried off her cloths under the hand dryer. (If you have ever had do dry your cloths this way you will know how slow and annoying it is.)

 

“I didn't know InuYasha was your uncle,” Kagome said absently, “Though I should have guessed you may have been related since you have the same last name.”

 

“Hanging out with uncle InuYasha is fun but he is always so busy with his job and he never had time to come play with me. He might not be able to take me trick-or-treating because he has to be at the dance,” Rin gave a small pout, “He is trying to find someone to take me but everyone is busy.”

 

This was something Kagome could do to pass the time, after all her father would probably have his new girlfriend staying late so she would have to do kill time. So after she finished (quite a while later) she escorted Rin back outside to where InuYasha was waiting, leaning against the door.

 

“I can take her trick-or-treating,” Kagome said meekly.

 

InuYasha looked at Kagome for a moment, “What, Miss Higurashi no you don't have to do that! Rin you can't just ask people if they will take you out on Halloween they might have other things to do.”

 

Rin gave a small whine, “But I like Kagome, she's nice!”

 

“Rin no.”

 

Kagome shook her head, “I want to, I am not doing anything tonight, and I still owe you remember?”

 

“You're still going to hold up your end of the bargain aren't you?”

 

She blushed, she had been hoping he didn't remember that, but in the end it was agreed that Kagome would be the one to take Rin around the neighborhood to go trick-or-treating, though she still owed InuYasha a genuine smile. There was a new strong tension between them now obviously but both of them seemed to be willing to never speak of the awkward situation every again so they hoped eventually it would be forgotten.

 

As Kagome left InuYasha's eyes followed her carefully, she was dressed in her normal cloths, the oversized sweater, the regular jeans, and the reading glasses but he could still picture the body that was underneath the cloths. He knew he shouldn't think like that about a student but there had always been something about Kagome that made him feel awkward around her, but then all he could do was mentally scold himself and usher his niece out the door and back to the car so she wouldn't be late for school.
